- Hiyori is an isolated girl. She has short, black, chin-length hair with long bangs and a ghostly complexion. Hiyori wears a school standard uniform. Her left eye is covered by an eye patch and her right eye is reddish brown. Although her left eye is green.
The reason behind her mismatched irises is her left is prophetic, a doll's eye which, as Hiyori describes it, can see things best left unseen. After Hiyori lost her real eye due to disease when she was four, made her the glass eye, the eyes are a different color. Hiyori, however, dislikes the dual shade and hides it behind her eye patch.

- ✦Perception - When not bothered with her occasional sense of paranoia, Hiyori is very able at interpreting and analysing the situations around her. Due to her preference of listening rather than speaking, she's gotten used to judging before-hand what's going on. And then putting herself into it rather than jumping in without a second thought.
✧Memory/Retaining Information - Hiyori has a very good memory. Hiyori attributes it to not a natural talent, but more something she has honed throughout the years through different exercises.

- Telekinesis - Telekinesis is the ability to move objects with one's mind. Hiyori was born with this power but she didn't know. After she turned into a ghost she started to use that power more often. She is still new in those type of things as a Phantom. A Phantom is like an illusion. If she moves anything bigger like a car, etc... she will faint from exhaustion. However, as she grows, her abilities grow with her.

- Hiyori was adopted by her foster parents at a young age, her umbilical cord left to her as a present from her original parents, but was kept at the orphanage. Hiyori's life was a happy one for several years until the strain of money began to emotionally and psychologically affect her parents. Hiyori's father stayed away at work until the late hours and barely interacted with his family. Hiyori's mother began to abuse her, wanting her to become the "perfect citizen", eventually locking her in a cage and timing everything she did, from sleeping to eating. Hiyori's mother went to the extreme, leaving Hiyori to starve and at times force-feeding her inedible materials. While Hiyori's father was objective to his wife's severe treatment of Hiyori, he did little to nothing to stop her. Hiyori's mother was ill and believed she was a terrible wife and mother, and believed punishing Hiyori was her only way to earn happiness. Eventually, Hiyori turned into a phantom, because her mother let her alone in a dark room without food, without anything.
