"You see, that is the sad, sorry, terrible thing about sarcasm.
It's really funny." - Brandon Sanderson
{|PERSONALITY|}
Marnie has always been a cheerful and optimistic woman. Though over the recent course of years she has developed an almost unhealthy habit of drinking, leading Marnie to trade some of that optimism for a more cynical outlook on life. Though she heavily blames her problems on others the root of her anger and pain radiate from her own loneliness. There is a void within Marnie that is almost never satisfied - until of course she is around other people. When faced with the social norms of every day life she shows only what she wants others to see. She seems pretty exuberant if not eccentric to most people, nearly always acting as if she has all of the energy in the world and has no idea what to do with it. Many of her students have claimed her to be rather fair when it comes to class, but overly concerned with how they are doing personally. Of course Marnie has never put too much thought into her own concern over the well-being of others, but to an outsider she has a certain 'motherly' overtone to the way she does things for others. Some could easily say that Marnie uses the good sides of her personality to cover up what she is truly feeling and thinking.
Sarcasm is a two sided thing with Marnie. Either she uses it jokingly or she doesn't, but usually there's no way to tell which way she's using it. If Marnie is feeling personally offended she can get rude - extremely rude in fact. She has been known to have fits of anger, but most of the time they only happen if she's been pushed too far or she is feeling under pressure. She doesn't like being questioned or having to answer to others, so it can be said that she has slight authority issues. Marnie also has a way of doing things her own way. Never a follower, but always a leader. However this often presents a dilemma in every day life when having to deal with taking orders from a higher up.
Marnie becomes emotionally attached to things extremely fast and this has caused many problems for her in the past. It has made it nearly impossible for her to hold a normal relationship with someone. Not only is she rather high maintenance but her own self-deprecating nature seems to be a problem for most people. Pair this with a longing for true happiness and its obvious Marnie is a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off.

{|BIOGRAPHY|}
Marnie grew up in a small town called Clearwater, which happens to be rather far away from Ledoux. She grew up in a small family, an only child with no other relatives living nearby her. She was considerably popular growing up, and her exuberance often caught the eyes of her peers. Marnie had many friends and as she grew up she had many boyfriends as well. Nobody really stuck around though, but at such a young age it didn't bother her so much. No, it wasn't until Marnie was well on her way to studying the art of Dance that it really began to hit her that her life was beginning to spiral out of control.
Her college years should have given her clarity on a direction in life but instead she fell in with the wrong crowd and spent her first few years of college doing nothing but partying and drinking. Her grades began to slip, her friends began to change, and the way she saw the world after that was hindered by the longing for alcohol. Even though she managed to dig herself out of the grave she was never really the same, depression had hit her hard, she knew she couldn't simply recover from that. Marnie found a way to balance want and need but after her tryst with the dark side of life she never really felt the same.
She didn't have much of a direction after completing college. Marnie hadn't really planned anything out as far as life afterwards. It was only by pure luck that she got a job offer from LSOA. Really, it was a blessing in disguise. She's been in Ledoux for a long Eight years now.
