A man who is very comfortable with himself and his abilities. He generally acts very confident and is optimistic. He is very loyal to his friends, and has little respect for those who rely on others to help them. However, if the need is real, he will help whoever asks. He enjoys fighting, and has never truly met his equal in battle.

One of the Masamune-style katanas; a crystal-powered katana named Ryukai (or Chomper); two semi-automatic pistols; two more short swords called Yin and Yang that are able to merge together. He once had the powers of the Phoenix, but seems to have lost it. However, he might have acquired something new...

History

Darius Lionheart was born somewhere in the Empire of Kalva, over 100 years ago, to a land of magically powered beings. In this land, Darius was an oddity; he had no magical powers to speak of. His parents were tragically killed in an accident, and Darius became friends with another orphan, a boy named Rune. Together, they were taken in as "students" to the great mage Oblivion, who used them as secret test subjects. One night, at the culmination of Oblivion's plot to destroy Kalva, Rune sabotaged the spell and gave the amassed power to Darius, transforming him instantly into an immensely powerful Phoenix.

Darius found himself lost on a desert world for several years, unable to die, wandering without food or water. He was eventually found by Rune, but because of the exposure, had lost all his memories. Rune nursed him back to health, and began training him as a fighter. The two did odd jobs for the local security forces, led by a woman named Teresa, who became good friends with the duo. After a few years, something happened to Rune, causing him to go insane and kill the town and Teresa, before fleeing the world with Teresa's body.

Darius vowed revenge, but knowing that he would be unable to find and kill Rune without first learning about his Phoenix powers, began training with a powerful Phoenix on another world. After a decade of learning how to control his magical powers, Darius became a pupil under an infamous weapons master, learning how to control weapons of all kind. After another decade of this, Darius left his training as possibly the most deadly man in existence.

To find Rune, and to hone his well-practiced skills, Darius began hiring out as a mercenary all over the universe, doing jobs others would have found impossible. Using his abilities to heal from even the most destructive injuries, and his immense magical and physical capabilities, Darius became a feared and respected force. However, the Sora government, fearful of his powers as a Phoenix and already attempting to commit a Phoenix genocide, began sending many assassins to try and kill Darius.

Darius, in an attempt to shake the trail, took leave on several different worlds, before finding himself on Larenska, hired by the citizens there along with many other "Guardians" to protect the city and its treasure from enemy attacks. Darius held out as long as he could, but it was only a matter of time before the Sora government found out about the Guardians and their Phoenix powers. Before they could send a squad to destroy Larenska, the Guardians disbanded and Darius was left without a home once again.

He settled down with a group of Phoenix worried about growing problems among the Dark Worlds, and found his way into the Ultimate Organization, where he became an essential member. Many events played out among them, leading to Darius finally sacrificing his Phoenix powers to save his friends and one of the worlds.

Afterwards, he was taken in by the Brotherhood and nursed back to health. Darius, as repayment, did a few jobs for them, including one in the Empire of Kalva, where he learned of a plot of the returned Oblivion. Now he returns to the Ultimate Organization, a Phoenix no more, but perhaps something else instead...
