Just the thought of people thinking he was like that made Rose angry. People could be so cruel and she wished she could change how they viewed him, but she knew all too well that she couldn't change a person. That then made her sad and she looked up at him with sad eyes. "People can be cruel and it makes me angry the way they treat you. I wish I could put a stop to all of it for you." She said before looking back down as she began to think back to her boarding school days. "When I was in boarding school the girls thought me to be a witch because of my hair color, which is silly, and I liked to catch frogs and bugs which is what really started them calling me a witch. Once they even went as far as to push me into a glass table and I ended up having to get stitches up my entire side." She said as she touched her side where her scar was. She wasn't sure why she was telling him about all this, not even her parents knew the full story, but it felt good to finally tell someone.
She stayed quiet for a few seconds, staring at the ground. Finally she looked back up at him with a smile. "But I couldn't afford to let them get me down, so please don't let the people of the village get you down." She said, trying to make the mood a little more cheerful. "You have my promise to always be your friend at the very least." She said happily.
