Personality- Jenner is well educated and headstrong a trait that has served her well in her political career. Her Father was a wealthy businessman from the Peaks called Cal Reese who was murdered leaving Jenner the sole heir. This sense of loss coupled with living through the Flats war hardened her personality.
Equipment- Jenner is a politician and her most important piece of equipment is her pen. However she always carries a pair of pearl handled pistols her father presented her with years ago. She keeps one in her purse and another strapped to her thigh by a garter belt. Given the constant heat of the sun and her pale complexion Jenner often wears a hat or carries a parasol while travelling the Flats.
History- Jenner Reese was born 31 Years ago in the Peaks. A cold mountainous region to the North of The Flats. As a child she was always something of a Tom boy more likely to be playing in the woods with her brothers than playing dolls with her sisters. As a child she enjoyed reading adventure stories about Confederate Heroes but she always found the villains more interesting as they represented something different to Jenner. As she grew her Mother and Father started to put tighter restrictions on her in an attempt to have act more like a lady. Jenner rebelled many times and flew in the face of Confederate culture which expected women to be submissive to men.
The other girls thought her strange and as such her closest friend was one of her Father’s Security team, James Costner, who would tell her stories about his home place, The Flats.
Aged Twenty Jenner finally had taken enough of Confederate culture, stole some beads from her parents and got on the first Airship bound for The Flats. She eventually found herself tangled up with the White Group which offered her and James Costner safety after her father was murdered.
Jenner was able to put her canny intellect to good use after Mr Charles the previous head of the White Group was murdered. Jenner found herself in a extraordinary position during extraordinary times. Despite her young age she was able to form an alliance between the Ochil, Tribals, Sky Pirates, Hope, New Mesa and other towns on the Flats. Using the White Group she was able to direct events and steer the war effort in favour of her own end.
After the war her work with the White Group was never uncovered as most people on the Flats consider the White Group to be a “Spook Story” in Jenner’s own words. Instead the accomplishments of the White Group were given to the Hornets, a resistance group. Reese herself was considered to be an important leader in the Hornets despite being the one who kept the fragile alliance intact.
Since the War Jenner has been instrumental in setting up the United Flats Government and the table. Her near universal popularity has been cemented by her Ten year term as President of the Independent Flats Government. Increasingly though she is seen as something of a relic of the war, unable to give up her anger at the Confederates.
She fears her presidency is coming to an end and despite her best efforts she still doesn’t feel the Flats are secure. Her biggest regret in life is failing to find out what happened to James Costner, Her Father’s body guard.
The White Group is under her control although she often acts through her Proxy Mr Chastain.
