Death Eater/Hufflepuff Keeper // Seventh Year // color=Sienna

Image

At the mention of a Yule Ball, Ayria was immediately far more excited than she should have been. There was a sparkle of excitement in her eyes, and she was definitely fired up now. A death eater looking forward to a school dance was entirely out of character, but here she was, making eye contact with her sister Myrra who was at the Table across from her own. It was a bit convenient for the twin girls that Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables were both situated in the middle of the dining hall, because it meant far less squinting for the two girls as the searched for the other.

Rules, boring.. She toned out the headmaster as he began to mention rules about the ball and didn't tune back in until personalized masks were mentioned. Again her gaze met her twin's and a mischievous idea registered in her mind. She would totally enjoy this dance and definitely play on her "twin vibe" with Myrra. Matching dresses and masks anyone?Guess who?

Ayria found herself in a complicated situation once the announcements and the feast was over. She was bored out of her mind as she roamed the halls and she had no one to talk to. That was a dangerous combination for the restless twin, so she made her way directly towards the Hufflepuff common rooms. There was always at least one person there, so she felt there wAs a good chance to chat someone up, hopefully Olria or Ethan, but she wasn't picky. She'd talk to anyone at this point as long as they were willing and at least mildly interesting.

Ayria entered the common room in her confident manne, her walk holding it's signature attitude as she scanned the room for a person to talk to. She nearly lost all hope, but her eyes finally landed on a slightly familiar male Hufflepuf student that she commonly overheard others call 'Nico', quite frequently to be honest, but she wasn't entirely sure if it was his real name or not. She knew that he dated McKenna for a time, but she had never spoke to this guy before now. Well, here's to firsts, right? Raise a toast, because here I go. Ayria mentally joked, approaching the boy who seemed to have his sights outside.

"You know, judging from experience, it's more fun to actually go out there, than it is to stare at it from a window ceil like some fairytale princess. It's especially fun at night." The brunette chimed in sending him a wink, her voice lacking flirtatious intent, so it was more than likely just a friendly gesture instead of a flirty wink, though with Ayria that was never certain. She was just striking up conversation for the sake of keeping her mind off of her sins, but also off of the Kai, McKenna and Myrra problem. Why couldn't he be happy with his girlfriend and leave her sister alone? Or break up with his girlfriend and treat Myrra like a choice instead of an option. The more she thought about it, the more she was tempted to put a curse on Kai, so she tried to redirect her thoughts before they quickly escalated into plans. She didn't trust herself to leave the situation alone, so she hoped chatting up this 'Nico' guy would distract her from what she really wanted to do; to expose Kai for the cheating boyfriend that he truly was, though she knew Myrra would hate her for ages if she ever found out Ayria was even tempted to reveal Kai's private life to other students. Her sister always was the gentle heart, which was why Ayria had to grow a backbone. Someone had to be the strong sibling, and that responsiblity fell on Ayria from a young age.

"I'm Ayria Blake, a seventh year. I've heard a few people call you Nico as I've passed you by on my way to lessons, is that your real name?" She inquired, leaning her back against the wall so she could stand nearby, but also put a respectful amount of distance between the two of them as well, "And if you don't mind my asking, what's got you in here and your mind out there?" She added, her brow lifting and chocolate eyes staring at him quizzically. She wasn't typically this curious, but she was dying for compatible company after that dreadfully long feast.

Hm, he's kinda cute... Too bad he's not cute enough to be worth dealing with McKenna's wrath. Ayria thought to herself with a chuckle, trying to decide who she'd ask to the ball. She had two or three possible candidates in mind, but she wasn't even sure if any of them would say yes. She wasn't the type of girl to wait around to be asked. Come tomorrow she would be on the prowl and ready to start asking boys to the Yule ball. She was a bit forward, but she liked it that way. She knew her sister would have a much harder time finding a date, especially if she didn't get her head out of the clouds and start looking at someone other than Kai. Just thinking about Kai and her sister brought her to clenching her fists, knuckles turning white without her even noticing it. She really wanted to knock Kai's lights out, one good time. He was dating Kenna and leading Myrra on, and that definitely wasn't cool in the younger twin's eyes.

Especially after she heard the rumor that he'd kissed Myrra on the train. She barely ate a bite at the feast when a fifth year student asked her about it. She lost her appetite on the spot, and now she regretted it, feeling the empty pit forming in her stomach already. Thankfully she ate enough to keep those awkward stomach growls at bay. Her stomach growling the whole time she spoke wouldn't have been a very good first impression, and she was definitely glad that it at least kept silent about it's detest for her decision to stop eating at the feast.

Hufflepuff Half Blood Sixth Year
Dialogue Color Code: seagreen
Location: Hufflepuff Common Room
ImageThe Hufflepuff found himself completely lost in thought and the silence overtook him just enough for him not to hear anyone step into the common room with him. Though he didn't acknowledge the person until he heard them speak. It was a female's voice, one that he seemed to remember from the train. "You know, judging from experience, it's more fun to actually go out there, than it is to stare at it from a window sill like some fairytale princess. It's especially fun at night."

The male immediately turned his head towards the female and found that it was one of the twins, though at this point he wasn't exactly sure which one it was so he kept the names from his mouth, not wanting to make a mistake. With a slight chuckle he responded, "Yeah, it probably is," he responded before hearing her introduce herself.

"I'm Ayria Blake, a seventh year. I've heard a few people call you Nico as I've passed you by on my way to lessons, is that your real name?" Nico heard her question as she leaned against the wall, "And if you don't mind my asking, what's got you in here and your mind out there?"

Nico just let out a soft sigh at the mention of what was going on in his head and he just shrugged his shoulders as he began answering her numerous questions. "Well, it's short for my real name...one that I really despise and as for what's on my mind, it's complicated."

The Hufflepuff stood to his feet and began to explain without saying any names. "You see, my ex is dating a guy I've noticed she has been treating like a rebound boyfriend and I can tell that the guy has some strong feelings for her. Though even though she is treating him like he is a rebound, I can't help but notice she has feelings for him as well. I really love this girl but I'm just not sure how to go about telling her..." he stated before returning his gaze out the window and adding, "I'm sorry about dumping all of this one you since you were just trying to make conversation and not trying to hear about my horrible love life."

If he were being honest with himself, he wasn't even sure why he was being this honest with some girl he had just met anyway. This was definitely unlike him. He hated showing his true feelings about things and would much rather keep them to himself because in the past that's how all kinds of problems started. So ever since he promised himself he would keep his mouth shut and not have to bother with anyone else's lives again. People seemed to be much more happier that way.

| 6th year | Pure Blood Ravenclaw | Dialogue color: #c707f7 | Location: School Grounds

Sophia stopped writing and looked up towards the schools talon that was announcing again.

Quidditch!?! hell yes! she was excited for that. Ravenclaw Vs Hufflepuff. She remembered the last match she went to where she got overly excited about how well her house was doing, but almost lost her favorite scarf in the wind that she was waving around so much in one hand. She was pretty sure that she almost caught another Ravenclaw in the face by accident with her elbow. The crowds were cheering which caused the stands to rumble, the brooms were swooshing past in the air causing her hair to get messed up as they were keeping up with their position in the game, and two seekers were fearlessly battling one another for the snitch. They had missed colliding with Hagrid with how tall he was in the stands, and that was from just sitting down.

Snapping herself out of her thoughts, Sophia checked the clocks time on the wall.

Studying was over for her for now, so she got packed up and headed out of the library, her feet then carrying her towards the main doors at the front of the school. It was nice outside, so she figured she'd take some time to spend it out there and get some fresh air. She wouldn't of minded if someone tagged along, because from time to time company was nice instead of being alone all the time. Alone time was nice though sometimes.

She crossed the courtyard that had a large stone fountain set within the middle of it, and on each corner of it was the four houses mascots. That thing had been around for centuries, so any student that was caught defacing it in any shape or form, would be punished by the headmaster personally. That fountain alone held history for Hogwarts. She knew that with taking Hogwarts: A History classes. Just as she passed that fountain, she turned her head to catch some students from Slytherin, running and shouting with their books covering their heads.

Peeves, the schools Poltergeist was throwing dung bombs at them while laughing.

"Ikkle Firsties." he'd cry out, still hovering above them as they ran.
clouds of green smog engulfed them, causing a foul smell to drift through the surrounding area.
Sophia covered her nose, and hurried away. She was heading across the bridge and towards the circled stones that wasn't too far from Hagrids hut.

Annie didn't mind the train was pulled to a stop and she smiled at him. " I will talk to you guys soon." She went then and went to her house, skipping orientation knowing she had to get ready for Yule Ball as she was a teacher suprivising. She really always liked the ball.

It was fun. She always had fun. With everything she did. With that she went into her class room that she loved. The smell of Potions class was fun. And she couldn't believe that she was back at her home that she loved.

No matter what life handed her she loved this. And whatever she had planned here she couldn't stop but smile.

George looked at her and smiled.
She was still as beautiful he had a bit of a crush on her but he really thought she was beautiful. "Yes I did. As I see we are stopping I will find you later, I want to chat."

With that he went out of the train with everyone and went to his dorm. He heard about the yule ball coming up and he wondered if maybe he could ask that girl he liked.

He decided to go to her house and go find out. And with that he went to her house door hoping she was around. "Is Ayria around I would like to speak with her?"

"Well, it's short for my real name...one that I really despise and as for what's on my mind, it's complicated."

"I see. I've heard that I can handle 'complicated' fairly well, so I'm all up for listening if you're willing to talk." Ayria replied, it felt like the least she could do was listen, because he had a lot of sins to atone for. Though he had no idea how much 'complicated' she was dealing with. Death eater, Myrra's sister, Hogwarts student, and Quidditch player? She had a lot of responsibility on her plate.

She didn't expect him to stand up, but she remained where she stood, leaning against the wall with a curious expression on her face.

"You see, my ex is dating a guy I've noticed she has been treating like a rebound boyfriend and I can tell that the guy has some strong feelings for her. Though even though she is treating him like he is a rebound, I can't help but notice she has feelings for him as well. I really love this girl but I'm just not sure how to go about telling her..."

"Not to be nosey, but I assume we're talking about McKenna?" Ayria chimed in a lighthearted and amused manner. She was sometimes underestimated due to her wild and flirtatious behavior, but she was extremely observant. She paid a lot of attention to those around her, mostly because she was envious of them and didn't have a particular group of friends. She never hung out with the same people more than one or two days in a row, afraid that the other Death Eaters would use any friends she made as future leverage against her.

Then she shot a knowing smile before continuing to explain how she knew who he was talking about, "Kai's been lightly flirting with my sister.. and McKenna is captain of Slytherin team, I knew you dated her because I always notice fellow Quidditch players even when we're off the field."

"I'm sorry about dumping all of this one you since you were just trying to make conversation and not trying to hear about my horrible love life."

"Horrible? I wouldn't say that. At least you have one. Besides, I don't mind listening." She chuckled a bit, a small smile on her face as she thought about it. Sure, it was complicated, just like Nico had said. She'd give anything to have an intense and complicated relationship with someone.

"As far as telling her goes... There isn't much you can do unless Kai and Kenna break up.. If you tell her now, you'll just be seen as a the guy who wedged a knife in their relationship.." She replied, running one hand through her hair as she tried to think of another alternative. This was a situation she'd never been in, but she was pretty good at coming up with plans, especially mischievous plans, thanks to her friendship with Kris. She'd definitely have to thank him one of these days, but she kept a bit of distance ever since she became a death eater, despite missing having close friends immensely, "I could help that happen so you don't have to get your hands dirty." She offered in a nonchalant manner. She didn't mind being hated for it, by Myrra or anyone else. It wasn't like anyone would want to befriend her after the plan came into action.. Ayria knew she was looking at spending the rest of her life in Azkaban prison.

"I take the fall and you get the girl... Does that sound good to you?" She asked with a quirk of her brow. She wasn't sure about the integrity of this guy, but she definitely was willing to get her hands dirty if it meant keeping Kai from hurting Myrra, "I don't mind a little notoriety..." She sighed aloud, laughing afterwards. She was used to being hated, so she didn't mind taking one for the team, or, well, Myrra. She knew that there was a chance that Nico could deny her proposal, but there was also the fact that she barely knew him. She could always deny anything he said if he decided to tell anyone about their little "chat"..

Then she saw a girl approaching, interrupting her conversation to let her know that she had a visitor that wasn't from their house. Apparently a Ravenclaw boy had come to see her. She wasn't familiar with any of the Ravenclaw boys, but held up a finger to Nico, indicating that she would return shortly. She'd humor whoever it was, that would give Nico time to think on the proposal.

She exited the common room, tilting her head at the boy from the train, "So we meet again." She chimed, a curious expression on her face as she examined him. What could he have to say that was this important? She wasn't sure, but she wasn't one to ignore someone when they wanted to talk, "I was talking to someone in there, so please make this quick.." She informed George, pointing back at the common room. She bit the inside of her cheek, waiting to hear the reason behind his determination to speak with her. Time was ticking and it was almost time for bed. She didn't want to be caught out of bed after hours, she definitely wanted to go to that dance.

Seventh Year Dialogue Color Code: #800000
Location: Medical Wing
ImageAlthough Acacia was unconscious she was able to vaguely hear another female's voice, one of whom was trying to save Acacia but ended up caught in the cross fire and got hurt herself. Though shortly after, the area was clear and the headmaster with a male stepped into the area. At this point she was able to hear the voices but wasn't able to make out any of the words.

Acacia was lifted into the headmaster's arms and was taken down to the medical wing, following behind Diego with Brooklyn. By now the red head was completely out of it. She felt the bed beneath her then everything went numb and she couldn't hear anything. Finally she went into a deep sleep and didn't wake up until the next morning.

With a soft yawn and a stretch she sat up in bed finding that everything hurt. When she opened her eyes, Acacia found herself being in the medical wing. All she could remember was getting attacked by Death Eaters last night, the vague memory of another girl's voice was heard as well.

"Ma'am, another girl, one who was attacked with me, is she still here?" the red head questioned, hoping that she would be so she would be able to thank her for trying to save her.

"Yes, Brooklyn is laying over there," she pointed towards the other end of the wing before returning to her duties.

Acacia carefully climbed out of bed and trekked her way over towards Brooklyn. She stood between her bed and the one to the left of it and glanced down at her, hoping that she wasn't still asleep. But even if she was she started speaking. "Hi Brooklyn, I just wanted to thank you for trying to help me. I really appreciate it. Just know I have your back after this. You deserve it," she stated to her before starting on her way back to her bed.

"Do you have all of your lessons figured out for the next couple of days?" he questioned as he tried to think about whether or not to ask Annie to the Yule Ball. He knew it wasn't really necessary for professors to have dates, but he wouldn't mind one.

Although he didn't even want to be around all of these teenagers and their drama, he knew he had to be. The headmaster personally asked him to attend as a chaperone for the ball so there was no getting out of it, he had to show up whether he wanted to or not. "Are you going to the ball?" he questioned, hoping that he was because at least he'd have someone to talk to. Of course if Barfield and Cain attended he would speak to them but it wouldn't be the same.

Hufflepuff Half Blood Sixth Year
Dialogue Color Code: seagreen
Location: Hufflepuff Common Room
ImageWhile listening to Ayria speak, he leaned against the wall and slid his hands into his pockets. He couldn't seem to imagine why she would be so willing to help him out like this, though after hearing that it had involved her sister, Myrra a bit as well he immediately understood. Though he didn't see a reason not to go along with it. If there were a way for Kai and McKenna to break up and Ayria is willing to take the fall for all of it, he mind as well go for it.

Though just before he was able to accept the offer, she was pulled away from him by someone standing at the Hufflepuff door. She held out a finger to him, telling him to hold on. Nico returned his attention outside the window with a sigh and leaned his head back against the wall. He hoped whatever Ayria had in mind would work without getting him in trouble with either Kai or McKenna. Well, Kai he wouldn't really care less about, McKenna is the one he doesn't want to upset.

Ever since he met the girl during their first year, he hated hurting her even if it were on accident. Nico would always feel bad about it for weeks until finally getting over it. Girls were more fragile than guys were with their emotions at least and he never wanted to hurt her feelings or make her upset at him.

She laid her robe upon the back of her chair where her scarves lay and changed into her pajamas, consisting of cloth shorts and a tank top. Katerina knew McKenna was in the room with her, but completely ignored her presence. She was in no mood to deal with any drama right now, all she wanted was sleep.

Katerina climbed into her bed and pulled the blanket over her petite frame before letting out a soft sigh and closed her eyes. She tried to block out every sound that was coming from the students in the common room down stairs and the others who were getting themselves ready for bed as well.

Finally after laying there for almost an hour, she fell asleep.

Annie was in her classroom preparing a lesson for later on in the year as she was always quite good in steps ahead as she was a bit strict but she wanted them to learn the best so they could help the wizarding world.

She looked through the different stuff from last year. She was excited for the new year to happen.

George looked at her and nodded.

"I am sorry to have bothered you, I just wondered if maybe you would like to go to the Yule Ball with me. I understand if someone already asked. I was nervous about this."

He said running his fingers through his hair looking at her. She was beautiful her brown long hair, her brown eyes. She was so beautiful and he was so nervous about this entire thing.

He put his hands together. The sweaty palms making more sweat together.

Death Eater/Hufflepuff Keeper // Location: Just outside of the dance // color=sienna

"I am sorry to have bothered you, I just wondered if maybe you would like to go to the Yule Ball with me. I understand if someone already asked. I was nervous about this."

"It's no trouble at all. Sure, I'd love to go with you. No one has asked me yet, so of course I'll go with you. See ya around.." She replied with a kind smile, waving in a flirty manner back to George, not that she remembered his name at all. So far she was doing pretty good at avoiding it. Though she knew she couldn't avoid saying it forever, eventually he would find out. Though she thought he was hot, he was kind of a stranger, so that made it a bit hotter to her, what could she say? She was a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I'll go with you, but only because you're hot. Though, she did already have it set in her mind that she wouldn't let herself fall for George. She returned to the common rooms to talk to Nico, but realized that it was getting very late. She had a lot to do, so she'd have to keep things short and sweet, "Shoot me a thumbs up sometime and I'll know the deal's on, Nico." She said as she passed Nico once inside the common rooms. It was late, and she had a lot of drawing, so she went up the stairs towards the girls dormitories. Now all she had to do was draw out her and Myrra's masks and get some rest. She flopped on her bed and withdrew a sketch paid, beginning to run her quill across the paper. She didn't have to use a pencil, because she already had a mental image of how she wanted their twin masks to look. She was the artist, definitely not Myrra. Myrra couldn't draw a stick man on a good day, let alone an intricate masquerade mask. They definitely were going to mess with people's minds and really play up the 'twin thing'. She wanted to see how many people could tell the two of them apart, it would be a fun experiment to say the least.. Once she finished, she put her sketchpad away and stared at the top of her canopy bed. There went finding a date.. now I can just rest easy and slack off in class.. She thought to herself with a smug smirk. She found a cute date, so she was happy, even if there wasn't any current chemistry between them, but Ayria wasn't looking for a boyfriend, just arm candy. She couldn't have a boyfriend with the life she was forced to live. It would be too dangerous, and she doubted she would be allowed visitors in Azkaban.

Image

Before she knew it, it was the day of the Yule Ball and she waited for her date outside. She didn't want to walk in by herself, she'd at least wait for him a while, or until she caught a glimpse of her sister. She definitely didn't like flying solo, especially when she was all dressed up with no where to go. Well, and she was kind of nervous. Did she do a good job on her masks, their masks? Would everyone be able to tell which girl was which? She was totally freaking out. What if her date went in with Myrra by accident? She didn't know him that well, they just had classes together, so would he be able to tell them apart? She began pacing the hall as she waited for George to walk her in. They were a bit fashionably late, but once her allegiance was revealed to everyone, it would all make sense. Though as a typical Hufflepuff, she wasn't really enjoying running late. She enjoyed being punctual, but something always got in the way, even at birth. Myrra made it out first, making her born five minutes later. She was always the sister that was late for everything. "I swear to God I will walk in there by myself and I will dance with the first guy I see if he's not here in ten minutes.." She mumbled to herself under her breath, feeling pretty pathetic standing there all alone.

Image

Ravenclaw Head Girl // Location: At the Dance // Color=Crimson

Image

Myrra finally got her matching dress and mask, but kept it hidden from everyone else until the dance. She went with a boy from Ravenclaw, but they weren't close. They weren't even going together because they liked each other, at all. They weren't even friends. They were an aesthetically pleasing couple, so they chose to go together so they could take a beautiful picture for their parents. She wasn't sure if anyone would even recognize her anyway, especially since she was matching Ayria from head to toe. This would be a challenge for everyone in the room. Whether or not they could tell the difference in the twin girl's jaw lines or not.

She knew it wasn't exactly fair, but she really didn't care at this point. She didn't even want to be here, but attendance was practically mandatory. There was no getting out of it, and she couldn't even go with the one person that she wanted to dance with. Her and her date entered the dance on time, took their pictures, and went their separate ways. Myrra approached the punch bowl, pouring herself a cup before pacing the large room. She admired the flowers and many other decorations, wondering if Kai and Kenna would make an appearance as a couple or not. Though she stepped on her own foot, figuratively speaking, knowing that she shouldn't even concern herself with that. She had no business, considering he was with someone else... but ever since that day on the train she couldn't help but wonder if there was something between them, something more than friendship. Though since the train, she'd avoided Kai. She would leave class as soon as it ended, she would sit all the way across from him in classes, and she refused to make eye contact. She had to keep her distance, she couldn't let herself admire him, because McKenna was always close behind to take a sledgehammer to every single one of her fantasies before they even began. It was depressing and a torturous cycle of envy and reprimanding herself. She wasn't sure if she could take this much longer... She wasn't sure if her date would even dance with her, seeing as they came together with no expectations. She couldn't see him in the crowd anymore, but that was to be expected. She barely knew what he looked like without the mask. She couldn't identify one person in the room, twin or no twin. She kind of felt bad tricking everyone with the matching dresses that she and Ayria came up with. It was hard enough telling who a single sibling person was, let alone twins. She felt like she had an unfair advantage against everyone else in the room, though wasn't that the point? So you could dance with whoever you want, with the possibility that they would never recognize you after the dance when the masks come off? It was a great idea in theory, but who was to say their angry girlfriend wouldn't rip off your mask mid-dance?

She took a drink from her glass, letting out a soft sigh, before downing the entire cup. She wasn't sure if the punch was spiked or not, but for once, she was kind of hoping that it was. She felt kind of bad ass with a mask on, like no one could touch her, but she knew deep down that it was just wire, lace, ribbon, and sequins covering her face. The anonymity was empowering, and she definitely was beginning to enjoy her stroll around the room, watching couples dance, conversing with each other. She was envious, though she couldn't find the only person she wanted to see her in this dress; Kai. Where was he? She knew he was likely already here, she just couldn't find him in the huge crowd of students.. Did she get all dolled up for nothing?

Zayden wasn't exactly sure when his mother sent his suit, but it was definitely well appreciated, especially since he didn't have the money to purchase one from hogsmeade, being muggle born and all.. He had a lot of trouble with his tie, and by the time he got dressed, he'd discarded it entirely. If it didn't want to be tied, he wouldn't force it to be. This was more comfortable anyway, it didn't feel like there was a fancy noose tied around his throat anymore, and that made him one happy fellow. He walked in by himself, choosing to go stag. He didn't find a date in time, and he was actually really fine with that. It meant he could dance with whoever he wanted, and he wouldn't get chewed out for it. He searched the crowd, dancing a few times with any girl who asked. He wasn't picky, especially with a mask on. A few girls recognized him, seeing as he was on the Gryffindor Quidditch team with Kai. Speaking of Kai, he would have to look for him.. He was wondering how his buddy was doing. They'd known each other for years, but aside from Quidditch, they didn't have a hell of a lot in common. He searched the hall until he found his fellow Gryffindor, throwing his arm around Kai's shoulder's in a casual fashion, "Where's your girlfriend, man?" He asked with a quirked brow, but it could have been concealed by his mask. He was totally unaware of the problems between McKenna and Kai, but that's because unless he was playing Quidditch or flirting, his mind was constantly on his sketches and paintings. He was always behind on drama, and could totally care less. He gave his friend time to answer before looking around. There were plenty of girls, and they were Quidditch players. He was going to force the other Gryffindor to have fun if it killed the both of them, "Did you hear about the truth or dare game? Where are they having it? I'm all over that." He asked Kai, waving to a girl who was giving him a wink, even if he didn't know who she was, at all.

"Oh, if you don't dance with a girl by the next song, I am dancing with you. That's a promise." Zayden smirked at his friend, leaving him with that thought before meeting up with the strange girl he'd waved to and danced with her as well. He wondered if he would find anyone worth being more loyal to at this party, but he highly doubted it. Zayden didn't have a girlfriend his entire time at Hogwarts. He was an artsy type who didn't like being disturbed once he got an idea in his head. He didn't have many friends, but the ones he did were uncharacteristic of him. It was hard to imagine Zayden was friends with any of the people he chose to hang out with. Zayden, despite being very flirtatious, was a laid back guy who loved Art... He wasn't very complicated, yet at the same time, he was a very complicated individual. He was a never ending paradox of surprises. One minute he was quiet and reserved, the next he was flirting and dancing with girls he barely knew.

Annie was getting ready for the dance. She didn't know how to do her hair so she continued to primp and do her hair to make sure she looked good.

She grabbed her dress and put it on with some earrings. She was going to be chaperoning but she thought it looked good on her.

With that she walked into the building and waited there to see the other teachers.

Hufflepuff Half Blood Sixth Year
Dialogue Color Code: seagreen
Location: Outside the Great Hall
ImageNico sighed as he stood there, thinking back on what him and Ayria were speaking about just a couple nights before. As he continued watching Kai with Myrra, he couldn't help himself he needed to get McKenna away from him, he didn't deserve her and if those rumors he's been hearing were true, he better hope Nico doesn't find it out.

Finally Nico removed himself from the spot he stood in for the past five minutes and began looking around for Ayria. He pushed through the crowd through the entire Great Hall and hadn't been able to spot Ayria. With a sigh he decided to step out of the Great Hall, figuring that if she was going to arrive he would be able to spot her making her way through the halls.

Though just when he stepped out the Great Hall, he noticed her standing there alone. He stepped over to her, being sure to keep a good bit of space between the two of him before speaking. "I'm in," he stated to her. "Don't want to go in or is your date late?" he questioned, trying to figure out why she was just standing there.

ImageAs Katerina sat there taking in her surroundings. She noticed a female closing in the space between them. She sighed and just glanced up at her, finding that she was much more appealing up close. "Can I have this dance?" she heard the female question.

After sitting there for a brief moment, taking in her features once more, she shrugged her shoulders and placed her hand within her's. "Sure," she stated. Though it wasn't like she had anything better to do. That was for sure. Maybe dancing with her could add a bit of amusement to her night, something she's been craving since she actually arrived.

Though after hearing about that Death Eater attack on two Gryffindors, nothing else has come to happen. But honestly, she wished she could have witnessed the attack, it would make it more real and give her a bit more amusement. Even though she was neutral with the entire idea of Death Eaters, it would still amuse her. At least something entertaining would be going on. Living life as dull as the one she managed to encounter after stepping into Hogwarts was never the kind of life she was looking forward to living. She wanted one filled with all sorts of adventures, one she would never become bored with.

"I'm in,"

"You cleaned up nice." She noted and smiled as he mention being in on her plan. That was good, she had someone on her side so it would be easier to have eyes and ears everywhere, especially since Nico was close to McKenna, "Here's the plan: I will approach my sister and ask if she had a good time at the date, so Kai hears it as well we just have to make sure they're together so she can't deny it in front of him later. If I am there she won't try to lie about it." She told Nico.

"Don't want to go in or is your date late?"

She let out a sigh at that, rolling her eyes. She never had good luck with men, "Late date. Apparently I still have bad taste in men.. It's a family trait, in case you didn't already notice." She responded, referring to Myrra. She always chose bad boys, she'd never even had a boyfriend because of her horrible judge of character.

Ayria was just about to go inside without him, then her eyes landed on George. She had to admit he dressed up nice, and he was easier to pinpoint than she'd thought. For a moment she felt like she wouldn't have been able to identify him, seeing as they barely knew each other, but she spent the entire week memorizing his looks, so she wouldn't insult him any further, she'd already forgotten his name so she didn't want to make matters worse, "See you around, I'll get started on our plan when I get inside." with that she met George so he wouldn't overhear her and Nico talking.

"You look... amazing."

"You don't look so bad yourself." Ayria replied to him with an impressed smile shot directly at George. They'd make a good pair in a picture, she was certain of it. At least her parents would have a good Yule ball picture to hold on to, she wanted her parents to remember her that way, not as a death eater.

She didn't expect the flowers and chocolates, quirking a brow at her date. This was a bit clichΓ©, but in a good way. Tonight she felt like a normal girl for a change, and that was a nice feeling.

"These are for you."

"Thank you." Ayria responded in a grateful tone of voice, accepting the gifts. She took a smell of the flowers then looked up to George with a smile on her face. Though she was ready to go dance, so she hooked arms with him and led him inside where the dance was. She put the chocolates down on the table and carefully sat the flowers with them, "Wanna dance?" She asked with a smirk, eyes a bit mischievous as she asked. She had to dance with him at least once before getting to work.

"And I think I found one,"

"I've been down that road several times.. Just make sure your girl doesn't see you. I was seeing two different girls once, they nearly teamed up to kill me. Be careful dude!"

After his dance with the random girl, Zayden caught the sight of Kai with Myrra. He smirked a bit, then moved to a cute blonde (Brooklyn) he'd seen around the Gryffindor common rooms more than a few times. He wasn't sure what her name was, but he intended to find out.

"Hey, my name is Zayden.. I'm a seventh year Gryffindor. I am pretty sure that I've seen you around before.. Would you like to dance with me?" He asked, plastering his most charming smile on his face. He had a few girls in mind to dance with before the night was through, like that girl he'd heard about that was a Gryffindor transfer, but this girl was also one of them, "Also, if it isn't too forward, I'd like to add that you look exceptionally beautiful. Whoever your date was made a huge mistake leaving you alone for even a second." Zayden chuckled, winking at her. He waited for her response, holding out his hand to her in case she chose to accept his offer.

Myrra was completely surprised when Kai approached her. He looked really good, even better since McKenna wasn't latched onto his arm. Why was that? She figured they would have been together, dancing till their hearts content. Yet here he was, looking straight at her and for a moment, she didn't feel like she was a wall arrangement.

She was equally shocked Kai removed her empty drink from her hands, tilting her head a bit at him. What was he doing? She finally caught on as he held his hand out to her. Immediately her heart skipped a beat, and she chuckled silently to herself. Was this a prank? Why would he be asking her to dance? Up until recently she was more of a dictionary instead of a girl..

"Myrra Blake, can I have this dance?"

She couldn't help but blush a bit, then she smiled at the formality. It was very chivalrous, and quite charming, "Kai Bolton, I suppose one dance wouldn't hurt anyone, so long as your very angry girlfriend doesn't hex me." She grinned, placing her hand in his, following him towards the dance floor. She let him lead her towards it, hoping that McKenna wouldn't interrupt this time. She wanted one thing to herself, even if it was just one harmless dance with Kai.

"Come on, it's a great song."

She let her arms wrap around his neck, listening to the song and nodding her head in agreement after she gave the song a chance. She'd never heard it before, but now it was her favorite. She noticed his hands were on her waist, and they were closer than they'd ever been. She was glad he chose to be a gentleman, because she probably would have died of embarrassment had he chose to place his hands lower. She was going to burn this moment in her mind, because she doubted she'd ever have another like it. She wasn't sure why he chose to dance with her, but she was definitely glad that he did. This was the highlight of her night, and definitely the reason she'd gotten dolled up. Typically she wore only lipgloss, but she went all out as far as makeup was concerned.

"I know you. You and your sister dressed the same. But Myrra... Well... "

"Kai Bolton clams up? That's a first.." She teased, her brown eyes shining as she gazed into his eyes. She was so happy to be dancing with him that it was almost like a dream. She kind of wished she'd confessed to Kai a long time ago, she just wasn't even aware of how she felt back then. Hell, she still wasn't fully aware, but she was beginning to realize she liked him a lot more than as just a 'friend'.

"You look nice,"

"You look really handsome. If I was Kenna I wouldn't have let you run off on your own looking like that." She giggled, breaking eye contact. She wasn't blushing, but speaking so honestly was kind of embarrassing. She wasn't sure if she was allowed to say things like that, or how he'd respond o it. She was too nervous to catch on that there was something else that Kai wanted to say.

"Who'd you come with?"

"Richard Drake, but he ran off right after we took pictures. We went on a date once, but decided that we wouldn't work out. He's more competitive than I am. Anyway, we agreed to come as friends so we could take a good picture for our families, because neither of us had dates." She admitted, unaware of why she had told him the truth. In all honesty she wanted to lie and say she'd found someone, but with his hands still on her waist, she deltas though she'd drank a truth serum. She hated feeling this way for Kai, he had a girlfriend.. That was why she never allowed herself to admit her feelings out loud. She wasn't allowed to.

Annie looked at Professor Adriel Blackwood. She did always like him, he was a really good guy. He looked a bit younger than her though but she could be mistaken.

With that she smiled at him. "Aww thank you, you don't look bad yourself." She smiled at him. This was lovely and she smiled even bigger when he asked to dance. "I would love to dance with you...." She said looking at him.

But continuing her sentence. "I am not the best at dancing. I am a professor of potions. Not dancing." She said with a small smile.

With that George looked at her. She was very beautiful. He had a crush on her for a little while and being a death eater soon getting caught by the ministry put to death or whatever the hell they would do he planned on living a little. He might as well.

"I would love to dance with you." He said taking her hand and spinning her on the floor. With that he began to do the waltz with her a classic dance that he loved and learnt at a young age. "Forgive me for being a bit late I ended up running late on some assignments and I also slept a bit and so when I looked at the time I was baffled. My apologies." He said continuing to waltz with her.

"Well, don't worry about it. I'll be sure not to make an embarrassment out of yourself Annie Barfield," he stated with a very serious tone to his voice with a smirk upon his face. Dancing was never the best thing he could do either, but he knew well enough so he wouldn't be able to look like a fool at events like these.

Adriel wrapped his arms around her waist and began to slowly lead her around the dance floor. The music was never a choice he would go with, but he had to remember this Yule ball was for the students, not the professors and they were into a different kind of music than he was. That he needed to deal with and just accept. While he continued to dance with the gorgeous dark beauty before him, he found himself lost in the woman's chocolate eyes. It was hard to make himself look away.

"How have you been?" he questioned, trying to make a bit on conversation instead of standing there in silence, making himself look like a fool. What kind of man would he be if he were nervous to speak with the woman he chose to dance with?

Nico smirked when he noticed George, one of the Ravenclaws he's had classes with in the past. The male gently bowed his head to him, showing he acknowledged his company before turning towards Ayria. "Have a nice night, I'll talk to you later," he stated before stepping back into the great hall, joining the rest of the students.

He began looking around for someone to dance with, in hopes that he wouldn't have to spend the night in his lonesome.

Kai had given Zayden a slight smile when his friend had left him but it was more nervous than anything. He wasn't sure how he was going to do what he was going to do. He had taken McKenna on a date on the quidditch field the other night, having a picnic in the middle of the quidditch field. It had been nice, but Kai realized he wished he was with someone else, not necessarily McKenna. He was never more thankful for the masks they wore than at that moment, where only those who knew you and who were up close could tell who you were.

"My girlfriend must realize, I care for her deeply, but I do have other friends that are girls," Kai said before regretting the words. It sounded bad. Or stupid. Or offensive. Possibly like he wasn't at all interested in Myrra. Which he shouldn't be. Yet he couldn't help it. He was screwed up. Why was Myrra causing him to have a hard time thinking and processing so much right then?

"Kai Bolton is still human Myrra Blake. I breath air and walk on the ground just like everyone else," Kai said with a smile in response to her teasing, doing it right back. She was so close, all he had to do was lean forward a little... And he didn't. He couldn't. If he kissed Myrra, he would be so doomed. He would basically be murdered. Like murdered murdered. He was not going to do that. It would also hurt Myrra though probably in a different way than it would hurt Kai considering Kai hung out with people often and they had many chances to hurt him since they could easily just hit him in quidditch and just get a foul called.

He smiled a little more when Myrra complimented him, too caught up in his thoughts to hear her properly. He should just break it off with Kenna. He was going to break it off with Kenna. He wouldn't be the rebound guy anymore. He smiled very broadly. "Myrra Blake, you have no idea," He stated with excitement. He didn't say anymore though, caught up in his own thoughts once again.

Kai smiled at her response, feeling guilty for it but happy at the same time. "Well, I am sorry Myrra Blake, but I believe I might have to leave you soon as well. There's a game I promised I'd go play in one of the old classrooms. I have to do a few rounds of truth or dare and to be honest, I am thoroughly terrified," Kai admitted with a smile. The faster he played truth or dare, the faster he could go to bed, the faster he could wake up, the faster he could break it off with Kenna, the faster he could find Myrra and apologize for being an idiot for so long and finally ask her out. It would be perfect.

Kai smiled as the song finished. He gave Myrra a hug, a hug that was just a hug, for now, before he gave her one smile, holding her at arms length. "It was amazing to dance with you. Thank you for it. I'll see you tomorrow," He said with a small, rushed, too excited to get things over with, then took off. He could already see people he knew leaving and couldn't wait to get through the night! It was all that was running through his head.

Diego had danced with a few girls, had decided he wasn't certain what to do, then left to go to the after party early. There was going to be a game of truth or dare and it was going to be dangerous, and fun, and probably a bit weird, but it would be great. At least, as far as Diego could tell.

Diego went upstairs with some friends, the group going to the old abandoned classroom by the charms classroom. A guy named Oliver had the bottle that would be used for truth or dare and said he'd be waiting for them since he wasn't feeling going to the Yule ball.

Little did Diego know Oliver was also a death eater and had charmed the bottle to force the person chosen to do whatever they were dared or asked to tell the truth about without being able to resist or remember their actions. It was dangerous, that was for sure, but that was what death eaters did. Besides, it was sure to mess with some people that night. He had even charmed the bottle to make sure it only landed on a few people, or rather not certain people. Any death eaters wouldn't get chosen, as well as any of the people who were not in a relationship. Ruining relationships was too much fun to pass up.

Diego walked in, going to the tables that were put in a big square and sitting down to one side where he was joined by some other Slytherin as they waited for people to come in and show up, in the meantime, hanging out. Kai Bolton showed up a few minutes later, his mask in hand though his hadn't hidden his whole face, allowing people to guess who he was if they thought about it hard enough.

Eventually, enough people showed up, and the game began. Landing on none other than a Ravenclaw fellow who was told to say whether or not he really liked his girlfriend, and admitting without even realizing that he didn't. He was using her to get to her sister. People hollered and got crazy while Oliver sat to the left of the fellow, smiling and watching the scene, waiting to see if any other death eaters would join him in the pleasure of watching the scenes before him.

Brooklyn had just finished a dance with one of the Hufflepuff chasers when a boy who introduced himself as Zayden asked her to dance. She turned to him, giving him her attention and a smile as she nodded. She was distracted from the other day, shaking slightly from the experience still, though none of the others who had danced with her had noticed that. She had heard of Zayden once of twice. He was a womanizer.

When he told her she was beautiful, Brooklyn could do nothing but duck her head with her shyness. "Thank you, but... I don't really have a date," Brooklyn admitted slightly embarrassed. She knew Zayden from watching the quidditch matches. She even wanted to be on the quidditch team, but she wasn't sure she could or should do that. She wasn't sure if he was being honest and was just ignorant about how and who she associated with, or that he was being one of those guys. She knew he was friends with Kai, and Kai was sweet, so he couldn't be too bad.

She placed her hand lightly in his, letting him lead her before placing her hands on his shoulders, praying a really slow song would't grace them with it's prescence. It wasn't that Zayden wasn't good looking, he was hot. But how could she possibly want to be with someone she didn't know and who probably wouldn't want to deal with her quietness? She hoped he wouldn't just dismiss her like most people did. She liked to pretend that it didn't bother her, but it did.

She smiled up at Zayden, a little shy but not having a hard time giving a small smile to anyone. Her hair tickled her bare shoulders and she felt the occasional wisps of her earrings touching her neck. She realized suddenly how close she was to Zayden and felt her cheeks flush though thanks to her pale face and the way she was, all she received was a slightly pink flush that gave her features more color.

Her thoughts briefly thought of whether or not Zayden could dance. Like dance dance. Like she could. She pushed the thoughts away, he probably wouldn't even want to dance dance at Yule ball. He seemed athletic enough... Outside of Yule ball? For fun? Partner dancing? She didn't think Quentin could do such a thing. Not because he couldn't learn, but because it required a certain grace that without, looked stupid. She pushed the thoughts away. She could dream all she wanted for a dance partner, but knew one wouldn't come along any day. She didn't even realize when she sighed that she had done so, instead trying to pass it off as her taking a deep breath so as not to offend Zayden, she hated that more than wishful thinking that wouldn't happen. Offending people that is.
