A lovely young lass, with a pinch of mischievousness. Tawny is rather lean, and very much belongs on the shorter side of heights. Not at all a build you'd think of when hearing about her adventurous, and dangerous life. A young, and beautiful face is sewed on a youthful head. Large, and soothing ocean-blue eyes were everyone could forget their sorrows, a smoothly arced nose that stands above the salmon coloured lips, and always an innocent smile plastered on Tawny's face. The dirt-brown hair that roughly waves alongside her head, is of neck-length. Always loose, and always hidden by the rag of a bandanna she always wears. The Caucasian skin that wraps around the woman's small body, is decorated with varying scars, and a few artsy tattoos.

Small scars and burns obviously decorate, what was once a smooth and relaxing skin. But the two most notable are ones that most definitely have a major story to reveal. The first, is one that crosses Tawny's chin, and arcs, only to lightly tap her left eye-socket. The scar is a slight red-brown colour, and rather rough with small hairs (Scar branches.) extending from the sides. The second scar, is one that dismembered her right arm. It's why she now walks with a gold/copper plated substitute. At Tawny's shoulder, you can clearly see burns, and cuts that were caused by the operation. But some were also made by the person who took the lass' arm.

A bright, up-beat, and overall optimistic lass. Tawny is never truly sad, or even angry in her every day life. Sure, annoy her enough times, and you might get such a reaction, but the girl always tries almost immediately to turn to the sunnier side of the situation. It makes her quickly to trust as well, because to her, a person isn't someone to distrust on first sight, but rather acquaint and hope it'll become another friend you can count on.
There is of course, that thieving/pirate side to Tawny. The mischievous lass know as Pief. The Pirate Thief, so to speak. Tawny can be a sweet young woman, which she is. But her inner being is as greedy as you'll ever find them. Money, information, anything that is called: Treasure is on Tawny's grabbing list. That doesn't immediately indicate she would be cold towards helpless people when there are riches to be found. But her greed can get the better of her is all. Honestly, you can debate on kleptomania...
And, with the mandatory thief and pirate attitude, comes the inevitable lack of following the rules. Tawny has respect for them, but does not follow any of them herself. For traditions, she has more loyalty. As long as they don't hinder her from the goals she is trying to complete. But her lack of respect for rules aside? The lass is loyal to friends. Just, don't call her on the spot when her deft hands do manage to steal something from you.

Duellist: Tawny has trained herself in fighting with agility and with, rather than brute force and strength. With her cutlass, she's a deadly opponent in terms of precision, and quickness. Tawny may not look like much of a threat, but she has definitely never found an equal during the many fights she has found herself in.

Children of Piracy
Born to a pirate father, and an honourable thieving mother, Tawny lived most of her life on a pirate ship. Not at all the best place to raise a child, but they made do. The small crew that was hired by Tawny's father were, although rough and very brutal around a child, quite kind and caring about the little girl. Trying their best not to upset her mood, and fear the iron fist of their boss.
So, Tawny's first years were good, in a sense. Pillaging, robbery, and death was common for her. Not a day was left without those aspects, albeit it was very frightening at first. But that's a general trait among children, no? Tawny did manage to take those scenes more easily with each passing year. And, when she was of age, a healthy girl of twelve years old, she was trained in everything her parents knew.
Trickery, thievery, sailing, and even pick up a few swordfighting skills from the crew. Still, with such a dangerous life, comes a dissapointing fact that death is a thing that backfires. Even Tawny learned such a thing the hard way...
Unwilling servants
The ship captured, and destroyed along with the crew. Except for Tawny, and her parents. The three of them were forced into slavery, on the ship that had defeated theirs. Cleaning, cooking, and the mundane tasks no crew member wished to do. Tawny was sixteen at that time, and knew the fears that came with this forced slavery. If you failed at your tasks, or even hinted at mutiny, you were toast for the sharks.
She had no troubles performing heavier tasks, even proved herself to be an excellent cook. But her parents, her parents were growing old. Grey hair, fragile bones, and their physique was fading away. In short, they were going to be a liability for the ship they were working for. For five years, they had kept it up. But time proved they were no longer in their peak of life...
Escape
Twenty-one years old, and finally free from slavery on a brutal ship. Freedom, but at what cost? Tawny's parents had succesfully smuggled her off the ship, secretly lowering her in an escape boat before the whole ship knew. And that did not take long...
With Tawny nearly out of sight, the captain woke up from the splash and the sound of wood smashing together. Obviously, Tawny's parents wouldn't let out a word, and were slaughtered on the spot. They never found their missing slave, why would they? A boat can drive off many miles, and searching for one boat is like searching for a needle in a haystack...

Tawny has been in the company of an old mechanic named Terrence Rillian for, what? Five months now? The man took her in for god knows what reason. But the girl was thankful for it, he even allowed her to train as a mechanic. Not, that she's very good at such thing. Hates it even, but only because of her new artificial limb.
It doesn't help either that Tawny keeps falling on her... less noble skills, and that Terrence has to pay for it. The girl even wonders why he still keeps her in the house. Not that it matters though, for Tawny has settled her goals, and wants to find the pirates that have held her captive for so long. But little does she know that there will be another predicament, obstructing her goal...
