British playboy working on the National Park, and making the best of a less than ideal situation.
Self assured and a bit of a smooth talker, Flynn kind of comes off as a spoiled, rich, playboy, which in many ways he is. He's also however, quite brilliant when presented with a challenge, and often times simply acts out of boredom. Flynn is also quite charming when he wants to be, which is half the reason he gets himself into tough spots.
Camping gear, his cell phone, booze, an knowledge of at least a dozen different culture's mythology, and a box full of little goodies he bought at the local gift and charm shops.
Flynn O'Brian is the son of Aiden O'Brian, the current curator of the British Museum of Natural History in London, and former Lady Winifred Getsby. Flynn was born to a life of privilege and connection, and while not as rich as some of those who ran in his circles, the O'Brian family does quite well for themselves. Flynn is also in line to inherit the title of Viscount when his grandfather dies, as the only male heir on his mother's side. Flynn's mother also died when he was young, which started his father's flirtation with alcoholism, a road that Flynn himself is quickly following down. His father is also quite married to his job, and Flynn’s relationship with him is both rocky and limited. Of anyone in his family, he’s probably closest to his mother’s sister, who is herself a professor of Anthropology in Manchester. Partly out of genuine interest, and partly out of expectation, Flynn is a History major with prospects for archaeology. While Flynn will never admit to being claustrophobic, he balked at the idea of Egyptology, so instead decided to do his senior year of course required field work in Rodecia. After a brief but public scandal with the dean’s daughter, Flynn has found himself "volunteered" for the National Park building project.
