Akita is a stubborn, strong willed individual who'll stand up for what she believes in until the end, even if it's the stupidest thing like what's the absolute BEST ice cream flavor. She has a bit of a temper, but it's only towards those who annoy her and that's a very select few. To most people, she's a sweet, independent, sarcastic, and all around good girl, who always puts others before herself, and tries to help everyone in whatever way she can.
Akita has an extreme love of animals, and has the tendency to fall in love with every stray animal she sees, and usually ends up feeding them. It is for that reason that there are a lot of stray cats that sneak in and wander around her apartment building. So you can guess that she gets in trouble with the apartment manager a lot... To add to her love of animals, she is also a tree hugger and a vegetarian.
When she became Adrian's girlfriend, she watched as he changed, for her, but she pretended like she didn't notice, and never brought it up. After they had dated for a while and he still never said "I love you" to her, she felt as if she was just another one of his girls. She wondered if he really changed or if he just changed as part of his game, she wondered if he was seeing other girls... as these thoughts flooded her mind when she thought of him, she felt more and more distant from him, his love (if that's what you could call it) seemed so... irrelevant.
And then he died. Akita's heart shattered when she got the news that he had been stabbed to death by his own mother, and she was at the scene of the crime in a blink of an eye. She knew that if his love was really irrelevant, then she wouldn't feel so dead inside, but she still wondered if his love was real or just an act.
Feelings
Even now, a while after his death, she is still unsure of her feelings. His death left a huge hole in her heart that no matter what, refuses to heal, but, she isn't sure if his actions were true, because of his history with girls.
Appearance
Akita has long, straight reddish brown hair and eyes to match. Her eyes were just like Adrian's were, an odd shade of brown that almost seemed red at times. She likes to keep her hair in a ponytail, with her bangs sticking out, and she has a little yellow bell that she got from a secret admirer two months ago, that she keeps in her hair at all times. She's about 5'11'' and 115 lbs even with a slim, curvy body. She doesn't dress to please, because she really doesn't care what others think of her as long as she likes herself, or so she thinks, she was very self conscious around Adrian, though she didn't show it. She dresses mostly for comfort, wearing things that makes her feel good and comfortable. She has a stalker that you can find almost everywhere she is. His name is Dammit, because he was one of the first cats that really attached itself to her, and now he never lets go, and he's quite an annoying sucker, so (this was before she became insanely obsessed with animals) since he was always following her and constantly annoying her and she'd tell him to "just leave me alone! Damn it!" she decided to name him Dammit, and since she's become excessively loving towards animals, she's become almost as attached to him as he is to her.
-Dammit absolutely adored Adrian! And since Dammit is an animal (and you always hear those weird things about animals being able to sense spirits) when the stranger who seemed to already know Akita came, Dammit saw him for who he really was, and adored him from day one (and Dammit isn't very affectionate towards anyone---other than Adrian and Akita)

History
Most of her life is kind of boring, so I'm going to skip to after Adrian died. When Adrian died, she had ran all the way from her apartment to where he lived, though she pleaded with the police to let her see him one more time, they wouldn't let her, so she defiantly stood outside for an hour, when they finally brought out his body. She got a peek at him before they covered him up and she wished someone would just come and stab her right then and there. Seeing his lifeless bloodied body there felt like someone had just punched a hole straight through her heart, and she couldn't bear it. She ran home and didn't eat for days. People worried about her, she never came out of her room, and just sat there, staring out her window like she used to when Adrian would be coming over, as if she was waiting for him to come and tell her that it was all a nightmare, but he never did. The first person to break through to her was her sister, and then, she slowly got out of her depression, but the hole never really healed.
