Personality

He tends to be withdrawn avoiding contact with others as much as possible. He is loyal and devoted to his friends the lies in befriending him due to his withdrawn and self loathing nature. He sees himself as a monster and does heroics as a means to redeem himself. The only other driving factor in his life is finding a cure for his condition

This armors primary purpose is to siphon energy off (this powers his powers so to say)

Super Human Strength
Energy Beam (discharged from emitters in hands of armor)
Flight (similar to energy beam but when discharged through boots allows for flying)

History

Richard was born out side Roswell and lived a normal unremarkable life (with his older brother and a researcher) until his 17th birthday. He was riding in a car with his best friend when a strange metallic cylinder fell from the sky, destroying the car in a flash of blue-black light (same color as his energy discharges). When he woke up he found that the car was totaled and his friend nowhere in sight. Somehow he managed to stagger home. Once he arrived there he explained to his brother the situation. His brother who had been working on a way to enable the wheelchair bound able to walk again, gave him an examination that revealed that he was now building up a strange energy inside his body. His brother modified his project to siphon off this energy. Unfortunately for the brothers Richard's pride interfered and he refused to put the armor on. This led to his body reaching its limit to contain the energy which blasted from his body destroying his brothers lab and mortally wounding his brother. As his brother died Richard put the armor on and withdrew into himself. So his self loathing began and so did his quest for a cure.
