Appearance: Kata'lenah is a young woman from Heathos, standing roughly 5'7, and weighing 124 pounds. Her skin is a toned, dark color, as are many of her race, while her hair is a bright golden blonde, kept in braided strands, the longest reaching her mid-back. It is decorated with a red and gold bandana, tribal feathers, and golden ornaments. Her eyes are a vibrant, striking green. Her ears are pierced with golden hoops with beads made of jade. Her body is a little undeveloped, even for her age. Her chest is nearly flat, and she has few womanly curves to her body. Her attire is only slightly less...expensive looking. Shirts made from fine silk and leather, tribal bands decorate her wrists and belts her waist. She very possibly could pass off as someone five years younger.
Personality
Personality: Kata'lenah is kind, but a little bold. She was raised in tribal community, and has odd things about her. She's not shy about anything, and could even be called a little pushy. She follows orders well, and is loyal to whomever is in charge. She's somewhat of a tease, is usually playful...but tends to gamble. Even in battle, she's not dead serious, retaining a bit of her joyous self. However, her battle is honest battle. There is no such thing as a fair fight.

Equipment: Tribal Broadsword - A weapon forged in memories of her tribal village. The weapon is perfectly balanced, and has a steel razor's edge. The weapon's grip is smooth leather. It's a very nice looking weapon, and more than a match for cutlass, rapier, or straight-blade.

History: Kata'lenah is the daughter of a very wealthy tribal leader in Heathos, his only child. She was raised in would might of be called nobility, but she didn't really call it that. While she was treated with much respect, she didn't care for this lifestyle. There was a lack of action as she heard from her uncle, one of the village's strongest warriors. The tales of the blade and spear fights he had encountered thrilled her. She began to take private lessons from him in blade at the young age of ten. Her dedication to the blade was serious, and she promised herself that she would become a grand swordswoman one day.
When she was twelve, however, sailors from Gordon came and burnt Kata'lenah's village to the ground, and took her captive. They took her back to Yave, where she was sold off to a slave to a rather wealthy business owner. However, this was not her fate long. After only six months of enslavement, she was able to set herself free, and escape from the man's clutches. Weither or not he's still looking for her is a mystery. She ran from this city to the next, before she felt safe. And even then, she was out of place. She didn't speak very good english, nor was she used to the customs of this country. It would take some time for her to become so. For a year, she was just 'that strange girl, whom speaks funny and can use a sword.'
Speaking of her swordsmanship, she had no money, and was not about to give away the only things that reminded her of her country. So she turned to one of the few skills she had - swordsmanship. She went to a local gambling rings, where she would join the teams. Now thirteen, she was the youngest competetor. Her first few matches were rough, the girl coming out barely alive, the loser. But she would practice untill she colapsed each night, her sword skills growing. Only a few days later, she won her first match, (granted the winning strike was lucky) and her first winning payout. She'd continued fighting in the arena, slowly learning from the fighters and trainers there. As the years and matches went by, she learned she had the natural advantage against cutlass and broadsword users, but didn't fare well against rapier or epee users. Her swift swordstyle was soon learned to be unique in Yave.
At age 17, she would leave the arena, and set out back towards her homeland of Heathos, heading south... untill she hit the small town of Giule. She questioned herself: Why was she going back to her boring life of rich living? This is what she saught when she was younger, and she was going to give it away?

She would stay in the port town of Giule, and make a small living there, using the money she had saved up from her gambling days. For two years, she would work as a mercenary, living the life she always dreamed. At age ninteen, she was minorly renoun for her sword skill. Those whom fought her seriously and survived know her as Redfeather. Apperently, this was enough to get her recognized by the mysterious Captain Johannus Clark. He sent her a letter requesting she join his crew. She only looked upon this as just another way to increase her sword skills.
