Though polite and apparently indifferent at first contact, Leo can be abrasive, even outright rude, to those he considers "friends." He considers himself a person of order - a thinker, a strategist who dislikes hotheads - but more than often, he succumbs to the more impulsive and straightforward. He tends to be a bit deceptive in speech, uncomfortable with confronting issues directly while speaking with others (though he handles things with perfect candor within the privacy of his own mind). Despite his skeptical and logical image, he easily becomes attached to others - showing possessiveness and jealousy of the few friends he makes - and has an ever-present (though rather snarky) sense of humor. Even so, he does his best to hide these feelings, reacting to anything that comes up with calmness and sensibility (and just the slightest bit of flusteredness...?), while trying to preserve others' peace of mind. At times, his unwillingness to confront others directly and honestly becomes an issue in his relationships.
He thrives on competition and verbal sparring (and seems to almost enjoy punishing those he has authority over for their misdeeds), but finds himself showing compassion in moments of less excitement and to those who do not have the stubbornness to keep up with his personality. Leo likes to appear cool and standoffish, but he is rarely such - he often finds himself in the midst of all the "idiots" he supposedly detests, cracking dark jokes and giving all those around him a healthy dose of tough love in his own reserved way. He is a bit weak, and tends to become the butt of jokes.
Leo has no real faith in either Traumas or Humans, despite his affection for specific members of both species, and believes that the Traumas are truly the least of human problems. At times he is terrified of helping destroy the Omen - wanting to live, despite the principles which mandate his death - and only forces himself forward through sheer moral conviction. He is prone to introspection and self-revulsion at certain hours, and finds these thoughts harder and harder to contain as time goes on.
