Name: Kiera
Gender: Female
Height: 5'11"
Ability: Necromancer
Weapon: Kiera carries a glaive, a pole weapon with a curved blade on the end. It allows for an excellent balance of weight and maneuverability, and she's extremely well-practiced in its use, preferring this more straightforward method of combat to using her powers for personal reasons. As such, she spends a lot of time practicing.
Description: Kiera's a tall woman with an athlete's build- more muscular than most females, and a bit imposing-looking because of it. She has a definite presence, mostly due to what seems to be a rather stoic inclination and a slightly-unnerving cobalt-blue stare. Thick sheets of black hair are usually left loose, covering the red-inked lines of a tattoo on her back. There's also one just below each shoulder on her upper arms, but these are smaller. Her face is striking, but not necessarily conventionally beautiful. It's not soft enough for that, really. Her features are sharp: narrow eyes beneath arched brows, a slightly aquiline nose not overlarge but very straight. Her default expression is a somewhat-troubled frown, but really nothing else she does suggests what she's thinking, so it's a type of impassivity really.
She's usually wearing a dark blue gown, slit high enough to allow for movement, leggings and tall boots underneath, a chestplate for some armor, and gauntlets that ascend to just beneath her tattoos. Her glaive is normally slung crossways over her back. She stands straight, and moves with efficiency and purpose.
Personality: While usually rather collected and levelheaded, Kiera is quick to anger, and quick to defend the others. She has something of a reputation for being the Faction's "attack dog," and this may not be so far off. Beneath the stoicism is a creature truly vicious when she- or worse, one of the others- is threatened, and though she is no sadist, she absolutely will not hesitate to maim, kill, or utterly obliterate anything that threatens them. Her loyalty runs even more deeply than her hatred of her powers- and that's saying something.
Amongst the others, she behaves very rationally, though there is some dry wit in there somewhere. Most of the time, though, she tends to be quite serious. Even here, there's a hint of some underlying hatefulness, but directed solely at herself. Kiera absolutely despises her abilities and thinks the dead should be left alone to be dead. She has learned apt control of them at the insistence of Vance, but she will not use them unless she deems it absolutely necessary, hence her dedication to practicing with her glaive.
She prefers to remain unobtrusive if possible, but she has nothing against conversation and is neither shy nor reclusive. She is contemplative, though, and can often be caught staring off into the middle distance, completely lost in rumination. Her self-loathing is generally well-hidden, and it's not hard to get along with her. Without much in the way of stubbornness unless it is a matter of great personal importance, she is rather agreeable and does not easily get into arguments. It might even be the same with humans, were it not that what happens to the other five is a matter "of great personal importance," and, well, when it comes to these she is territorial and defensive as all hell.
Because she despises her powers so much, she's made a point of studying medicine as well, just to keep some kind of sense of balance, or maybe just to spite whomever made her this way. She actually does not hate humans blanket-clause, but she certainly is not fond of the species as a whole either.
