At first glance, Grimes tends to appear quiet and proper. She is, but only when she’s not in friendly company. With friends, she’s vibrant and energetic, to the point of being manic. She tells dirty jokes and laughs too loud, not caring if anyone else is laughing. If you’re having a bad day, she can be the breath of air you need.
Her build is just about average. Really the only notable thing about her is that she’s short.

Grimes has long, wild black hair that refuses to be tamed, and big shiny brown eyes. She always wears a pleasant expression.

Her style can best be described as “casual goth.” She wears mostly black and doesn’t accessorize much. The only accessory she consistently wears is a cicada ring around her left thumb.
She doesn’t usually carry any weapons around with her, but if she feels she’s in danger, she’ll wield a metal baseball bat.

Because she can hear the thoughts of insects, her mind is in constant chaos, especially when she’s outside. She’s a bit emotionally unstable because of this.

Insect Communication - She can command any insects around her. Her reach extends to about 100 feet from her in all directions. The thoughts of any insects in this radius are broadcast into her head.
Grimes was always fascinated by bugs. While most girls her age were terrified of them, she loved all kinds of creepy-crawlies. Everyone around her thought this was strange, but she didn’t care. She had her bugs to keep her company! When her powers developed, she was overjoyed at first. Being able to hear the thoughts of bugs was an entomologists’ dream come true. But the constant noise started to grate on her, degrading her emotional state. She found the Celtlight Cult after endless researching, and joined in the hopes that they could help her remain stable. Grimes is currently a senior in high school, trying to survive long enough to graduate before she has a complete breakdown.
