Matt Goldburg's Story

Matt opened the door to head out for the night. once the door swung open the harsh cold air hit him in the face. He brushed it off and headed down the street. He placed his hands in his trench coat pockets as he approached the bus stop. No one was really out around 11 at night. It was quiet other than the occasional car driving by. Matt reached the bus stop and leaned against the sign, he shut his eye's as he waited for the bus.

Matt didn't expect the bus to take so long. It's usually just a few minutes before the bus arrives. He looked around the block, no cars in sight. He sighed and began to walk towards his building. Matt thought to himself he mind as well call a cab. He began his short walk back to the business building a couple blocks down the street.

Matt walked into the front doors of the office building escaping the cold. He sighed as he entered the building, he looked up seeing a young women standing about. "Can I help you miss?" he asked her walking over to her. He smiled as he got to the front of him. Matt looked down to what she was holding. "Need any help there?" He asked her gesturing towards the box of kittens. She was a pretty young lady and he hoped she was here for the assistant opening. Matt looked around and spotted the sign in the window, he noticed no one took it down. "Are you here for the assistant opening?" Matt asked her.

Matt looked down at the kittens that now sit on the floor. He smiled as they tried to crawl out. "That's alright, The job is still open." He looked up at the young lady standing in front of him. "Do you have any experience in the business field?" He asked her a he watched her pick one of the kittens out of the box. He watched as the kitten fell asleep in her arms, that was the cutest thing he'd seen all day. "If you are up to it, I'm having a meeting tomorrow morning with a few interested persons.." He rummaged through his pockets and pulled out a business card, and put it in the box of kittens.

Matt smiled and picked up on of the fluffy kittens he held the kitten close as it moved around finding a comfortable spot to lay in. He pets the kittens head as he looked back up at the young lady, he shot her a smile.

Matt watched as Renya and the box of kittens ran out into the rain and intoh e can. He smiled as he heard the faint crys of the little kittens. He shut and locked the door behind him standing in the pouring rain and he rummaged his pockets for the right key. Once he found it he quickly locked the door. He placed the keys back into his pocket and jogged to the car, keeping his little kitten out of the rain using his sleeve as a shield for him. He got to the cab and sat down and dripping wet. He shut the door. sorry for the wetness sit. he said to the cab driver as he places his kitten in his lap.

Matt looked over to Renya. Ready to go? If you don't have enough to pay the cab I can handle it. It's the least I can do. Matt told her with a warm smile.

Matt smiled as she exited the car. He waved goodbye, he told the cab diver to wait until she got inside. He thought to himself what a nice girl, it came to his realization that they live in the same development. He smiled and paid the cab driver adding an extra few ducks for his troubles. Matt exited the car and held the kitten close to his body as he went out into the pouring rain. He entered the building and walked towards the elevator. Once in the elevator he picked the kitten up and lifted him to his face, the kitten licked his nose.

Matt smiled as the elevator door opened. He got out and walked to his apartment door. Matt opened the door and set the kitten down to explore his new home. It wasn't long before Matt left again, he grabbed his trench coat and headed out. He slipped he hood over his face an made his way outside. He spotted Renya's house and walked slowly towards it. He pulled out a camera and zoomed into the window seeing her laying on the bed. He smirked and snapped a few photo's He saw some car lights heading up the hill, he made it seem as though he was walking down the street. Didn't take long for the car to get out of sight.

He turned back tot he window an snapped a few more photo's. "Perfect... He whispered to himself while licking his lips. He then proceeded back into his apartment and slipped off his shirt. He plopped on the bed with camera in hand. He leaned back and went through the pictures.

Matt smiled as he went through the pictures. He couldn't wait to see her again, he felt something real with her. Matt smiled and shut off the camera putting it in the drawer to his left. He got undressed and took a quick shower. He got out and flipped on the t.v, he flipped off the light and picked up the kitten. He and the kitten layed on the bed watching some midnight shows before they both fell asleep in the bed sleeping next to each other. The kitten was nice and soft, he was curled up under his arm close to his chest.

Matt yawned and woke up t his set alarm. He stretched to turn it off. He picked up the kitten and laid him on his chest. "Good morning little man. You hungry? HE asked the kitten as he got up to fetch him some food. He slipped on his favorite work clothes. He combed his hair and got his kitten some food. He cleaned the kittens litter box and trew it away. He grabbed his suitcase, and got a mug of coffee and headed out the door.

Once outside he walked to he end of the curb and looked around he went to the left and than stopped when he saw Renya. "Good Morning Renya, Did you sleep well?" He asked as he stopped by her door. He smiled and checked his watch. "Still up for that interview?" He asked her while taking a sip of his coffee, he liked it black.

Matt smiled and nodded. "I get that feeling sometimes too, nothing to worry about." He lied. He walked up a little bit to the edge of the door steps. "I'd be glad to walk you to the interview." Matt said to Renya. He took a sip of his black coffee as they began their walk to his place of work and of course where the interview was going to be held. He never would have thought someone like her would be interested in becoming an assistant of his or anyone's for that matter.

Matt smiled as they walked down the street there was a breeze that wasn't as bad as it has been the last few days. "How's the kittens? They doing all right?" He struck up a conversation. He paused a bit as he watched a car honk and drive off. "I named my little guy Felix" He chimed, with a grin on his face. "If you ever need me to stop at the store for any thing I gladly will, it's no trouble. He paused and took a sip of his coffee. Since we leave so close to each other.. He finished as they stopped at a intersection waiting to be able to cross.
