"They call me Jester, but I can put a round between your eyes at one hundred yards . . . and that's no joke."
Caleb is the quiet type of officer, and very grizzled.
He has seen it all in just six years of service. He's seen young children addicted to drugs scratch their own eyes out, innocent people get blasted away because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he's seen his partner get brutally ripped from her mech: nearly dying before she was even old enough by city law to smoke a cigarette. He doesn't talk much, instead preferring to be quiet, but every one of his superiors is in love with him. Back when he was a street cop, he could always be relied on to help out his fellow service members, and now that he's in Unit 12 he's no different than he was then. He's not very friendly, at least openly, but if you are his friend then you'll most definitely know it. Overall, he's a good cop to have watching your back, and he'll never give up on friends and fellow officers.
He normally carries a standard service pistol and SMG with him when not in a power-suit.
His suit, the A2-117 "Tank Buster", is equipped with dual three-barrel miniguns on the outside of the wrists, has relatively heavy armor, and also has two collapsable saw blades on the inside of the wrists capable of cutting through the armor of many mechs that an officer might encounter.
He wears a normal police uniform when not in the field: otherwise he'll either be in an exsoskeleton, or have a tactical vest on, and personal armor.
When Yela had gotten ripped from her mech: Caleb had been that partner.
He had been in the police service for a little over a year since then and had only recently gotten on to Unit 12. Admittedly, he felt almost offended to be assigned as a "kid's" wing-man, but he had still always done his best in the field with her. One day they came under a vicious ambush and he did his best to fend off the attackers while she tried to find a way out. Unfortunately, they were overwhelmed. He turned around just as Yela was ripped from her armor and tossed to the ground like discarded trash. The criminal wouldn't live to regret his decision, however. Moments later the man would get sudden, violent brain surgery as Caleb carved the man to pieces with his suit's blades.
Now, even though he is still very much in control, he rarely ever talks, and seems to blame himself for what happened to her.
