Age: 23
Personality: Leo has a hard shell to crack, after years and years of working for different employers, he's learnt to have a tough skin and not reveal too much about himself to anyone. Although secretive about himself, he's not a distant person: willing to make conversation with others that are deemed interesting enough for him to add his own opinion into the fray. Sometimes he finds himself lost in his own thoughts, so much so that it takes physical contact to distract him. When in the company of his fiancée, his persona seems to change dramatically. He is warm and caring, smiling most of the time as well, and laughing heartily too. He would do anything for Fior, his fiancée, even if it meant doing something stupid.
History: Leo has been a mercenary for around 5 years now, after extensive training in combat from his father as he grew up, he took those skills and advanced them to a level greater than ever expected of him during his travels around the lands. During this time, he met a young spiritualist who spent her days communicating between the dead and the living via a small stall on the market. The girl, Fior, would tell those who came to her about the status of their deceased relatives and friends, bringing comfort to those who have had family members pass on. When he investigated this girl, he found that she took no money for it... which intrigued him. Her kindness found its way through his thick skin, and he ended up staying in Fior's home town for alot longer than he had anticipated in an attempt to win her heart.
When the two finally became an item, the pair set off on their travels. At each town, Leo would carry out any jobs he could find while Fior used his spiritualism to comfort the townsfolk who needed her. Fior was not always a fan of the tasks that Leo took on, but he was not a good mercenary for taking on nice jobs. It was not the grandest of lives at times, but it was simple and good enough for them. Their travels continued till the day that Fior suddenly fell sick, though what the cause of this sudden illness was Leo couldn't find out - no doctor could diagnose the problem. Instead of going out on jobs as per usual, Leo took on the duties of caring for his love.
When a note arrived for him at the inn which they were staying, Leo was tempted to simply decline the offer from the council. They might've needed to find a princess, but he needed to save Fior.
Fior was the one who convinced him to take on the job, though Leo made one condition - they would ask for the council to diagnose and cure her instead of taking any reward. Leo didn't like the idea of leaving his love in the care of those he was not really familiar with, but he had no choice. The sooner he found this princess the sooner that he could have Fior back. Reluctantly, he took on the job.
When he was later approached by a single council member, he was shocked and slightly annoyed by what he had heard. The man had tried to pay him into reporting the whereabouts of the princess to him alone when the girl was first found. The man's plan was to end the prophecy - side with the Yugile. Leo refused. Leo wanted to return the princess to the council, and get Fior back. Leo soon had no choice in the matter, as the council member in question then threatened that if he did not agree, then Fior would be the one to suffer for it. And with no way of protecting her while he was on his mission to find the princess, Leo was forced to agree.
Leo still cannot decide whether he had made the right decision. He had to save Fior, but it seemed to be a lose lose situation. If he found the princess and didn't report her to the spy, then Fior would be killed. But if he did report her, then Fior wouldn't be cured - and they both probably would have been killed for his betrayl. Leo knows that when the day they find the princess comes - he will have a tough decision on his hands.
