âPhysical Descriptionâ
Born with a tuft full of snow white locks, Farah sports hair the color of an icy tundra. There are hints of blue streaking through, giving it a rather glossy appearance perhaps close to the clear, crystal shade of icebergs. There are times where her hair will take on more of the bluish tint, giving it a periwinkle appearance. It is rather wispy in appearance, though it is far from being thin. The only reason it appears so is because of the length she keeps it. She never lets it grow past her shoulder blades, and as of now, is currently keeping it a short, bob-like style. It only falls to the nape of her neck with a few layers framing her face. The shortest strand falls to the tip of her ears with her bangs falling to the bridge of her nose. There is a few strands of hair on the left side of her face that are slightly longer in appearance than the others. This is intentional as she is usually the one cutting her own hair, with the occasional help from her sister.
Her eyes are a rather peculiar shade of blue. If one had to say a specific word for it, they would describe her eyes as an almost electric blue. There are times when her eyes will take on a faded look, giving a rather dulled out gray color in the wake. This is usually only bright on when she is lost in thought or something is troubling her. Otherwise, her eyes are bright and vibrant, always warm and inviting. This highlights the child-like features of her face, her innocence, as Ryoku once stated, and often gives the false appearance of someone safe, someone harmless. This is not true, for underneath all of that lies a beast waiting to come out and devour. It is shown through the occasional flicker of amber that will pass through her eyes. They are, however, large and innocent for the most part, accented by thin, rounded eyebrows.
Her skin is like most, blemish free, smooth, and pale in appearance. Perhaps a bit too pale for one's standards, however; there is a bit of rose color to her cheeks, giving a rather doll-like appearance. Her skin, if needing to be classified, could be related to that of porcelain. For the most part, she stands rather short, only reaching about three inches over five feet, which at times gives her a bit of an advantage. She's a bit quicker and a bit more nimble than most of her family members who are a bit taller than her. She is shaped rather much like a child, with a few curves to here and there to accentuate that she is definitely not a child, though she isn't as voluptuous as her sister. This is something Farah is rather grateful for as she doesn't think she could handle all the attention a body like brings, and wonders how her sister deals with it most of the time.
âI don't believe love is for everyone. Though I may desire it, I know it is something I can never have. And I am perfectly fine with that...I...I think.â
âPotential Interestâ
Trevor Edyta: Farah has harbored a deep crush on Trevor since the first day she met him. Being raised in the Minamoto family, at their estate in Russia, Farah was exposed to the pure-blood and for some reason, was simply drawn to him. No one knows of this crush, except for her sister, Hikari. She told her not too long ago and has since tried to keep her feelings under wraps. It doesn't help much for her that she blushes profusely when he is around, and she has tried once to hide behind Hikari when he entered the room once. Needless to say, the girl is a mess around him and he has no idea why.
âSkillsâ
- â
Cooking || Growing up with Hikari and Shizuka, it was hard for Farah to not pick up the skill of cooking. Because her family could digest both solid foods and blood (mainly Hikari and her siblings), Farah learned to help with the cooking. Though they were not a large family, their appetites were surely something to be reckoned with, especially Shizuka's. So, with three women cooking, it became fairly easier and quicker to prepare meals.
â Combat || Farah doesn't like combat, she doesn't like violence. This, however, doesn't mean that she is not capable of handling herself. She is quite skilled in the art of combat, having trained with Hikari and the others while growing up in the Minamoto household. She is proficient in both hand-to-hand combat and utilizing weapons should she need to, including herself, however; she tries to stay as far away from the battlefield as she possibly can.
â Green Thumb || Because of her oddities, and her shyness, Farah took to planting things, growing things and creating life. And she learned she was good at it. With the help of Mama Reiko, and occasionally Trevor (at the cost of her embarrassment), Farah became a decent gardener. Most of the estate is littered with flowers she grew herself and with the aid of her grandmother and Trevor. She'll never admit it, but she enjoys spending time with Trevor this way. There is no talking between them that is needed.
âAbilitiesâ
- â Transformation || Like her siblings, Farah has the ability to shift into her wolf form. Unlike the Minamoto's however, who sport white fur (or in Hikari's case black), she inherited the form of all hunter-wolves. Her fur color is predominately brown. She also has a more wolf-esque appearance than humanoid like the Minamoto's do, and unlike the Minamoto's, she is relatively small in wolf-form when compared to them.
âThere are some things I do not wish for people to know; secrets that I want to keep locked away deep inside. But I know that that is impossible. Secrets are eventually discovered because we secretly crave someone who cares enough to ask about them.â
âOther:â
- Unlike Shizuka and her offspring, all of the hunter werewolves did not inherit the nullification ability. As a result, Farah is susceptible to vampire abilities and is quite weak against them. She is also subjective to a vampire's subjugation techniques because of the vampiric blood that courses through all hunters. In a sense, she is much like Hikari and her siblings, however; because she wasn't born as they were, from the union of a pure-blooded werewolf and a hybrid, she is nothing like them. Also, unlike the Minamoto's, all hunter-wolves shift into a color specific wolf. Whereas the Minamoto's inherited the white-like appearance to their fur, all hunter-wolves, including Farah, sport dark brown to a medium russet color fur. There was only one black wolf in existence: Esaias. This, however, is no longer true as her sister, Hikari, shifts into a black wolf, something that the family finds very peculiar.
âHabits
- â Stuttering || Farah gets nervous easily. There are perhaps only three people in the world that she does not stutter around, and two of those people are her immediate family members. Hikari and Eien. The third person is Tatsuhiko. The three of them manage to ground her to some point, however; around everyone else, Farah becomes a fumbling mess and will stutter quite often. She has it a bit under her control so that she'll only stutter a few words at a time, however; around Trevor, that control falters.
â Fidgeting || Much like her stuttering, Farah fidgets in her spot from time to time, especially if she's nervous about something. She often plays with the hem of her skirt, her shirt, or runs her fingers through her short hair. There has been times where she'll absently flinch about something, though the cause is never found. It's just a reaction that has programmed itself into her.
â Eye Contact || Farah cannot keep eye contact with someone. As such, she'll often gaze to the side of someone when speaking to them, and has been known to avoid looking someone in the eye altogether. There have been times where she can muster up the courage to stare someone in the eye, however; it usually falters and she finds herself trying to focus on something else. Oddly enough, she has no problem keeping eye contact with Trevor.
âLikesâ
- áĻ The Sun || She likes sun-bathing. It provides a sense of security and serenity for her, and quite honestly, she's a little bit afraid of the dark. Being out in the sun helps quell the fear and she would rather be outside anyways than to stay inside. Also, something about the sun draws her to it, much how the full-moon draws her beast to it. It is something that she cannot understand, but she tries not to dwell on it for too long. Some things are best left not understood.
áĻ Floral || Self-Explanatory. She loves flowers, and anything that pertains to nature. It has absolutely nothing to do with Trevor or his abilities. Much like the sun, something about floral and nature draws and appeals to her. It is as if these things alone are capable of rendering her beast tame, and she takes full advantage of it. Oddly, she has likened the scent of sunshine and flowers to Trevor's scent...something that terrifies her completely.
áĻ Drawing || She likes drawing, and she's fairly good at it. Most of her drawings consist of her family and of random objects like the Academy's school bell, and one of the basketballs that flew up on the roof last week. She is in an after school Art Club, and though she could have been the president of it, her shyness keeps her from speaking up too loudly. As of late though, she has been drawing pictures of a person she does not know. None of her family seems to know the man, however; she did not miss the way Shizuka's eyes darkened when the picture was shown to her, the picture of a two-toned eyed man.
âDislikesâ
- â Nonsensical Violence || There are times to be violent, and times to not be. Farah is aware of both, and she tends to dislike the latter. If there is no reason to react violently, then a person should not, however; it doesn't stop a majority of the people she has seen from doing so. She'll try to avoid it as much as she possibly can, but for some odd reason, nonsensical violence tends to follow her. She's often wondered if she's a magnet for such things.
â Herself || Plain and simple. Farah does not like what she is, what she was created to be. An instrument of death, a harbinger of war. It is something that conflicts against her nature and it is something that she hates dearly. There are times she wishes she could just be a normal person, not this thing. It has taken her a long time to get over her self loathing, however; it is still there, and very much still apart of her. It isn't as bad as Hikaru's once was, where he split his personality for it.
â Unnecessary Killing || She doesn't like it. She doesn't like the idea of killing something without reason, and as such, tries to stay out of the war as much as she can. She doesn't see the point in killing at all, but she cannot bring herself to be that naive about it. She knows that there are times that will call for the death of someone, however; that is different in her mind. If she must kill something simply just to kill it, she cannot do it. Killing something out of necessity, such as to save the world, then she will do it, though still reluctantly so.
âStrengthsâ
- âĻ Friendliness || Due to her personality, Farah is able to make friends easily. She has more friends than she can count, and about a handful of them are truly what she could consider true friends. She is someone that most people go to when they need to talk, or to just be in her presence as something she radiates gives them a sense of serenity. She doesn't understand it, how a creature like her could provide such things, but nevertheless, if it makes them happy, she will oblige them.
âĻ Resolute || Despite her personality, Farah's resolution is astounding, even to her. She doesn't particularly allow things to get her down, and usually faces everything with a smile. She stands by what she says, and what she believes in, and usually, the only people who make her question those things happen to be her family. For anyone else, it would be extremely hard for her to see otherwise. She stands by what she says, and though usually timid about it, doesn't let things sway her too much.
âWeaknessesâ
- ⯠Control || Because she was born to hunter parents, control is something that Farah does not have. The hunters did not learn to control their beast and therefore, under the light of a full-moon, they shift and cause chaos. If it wasn't for Shizuka and Hikaru, there would be destroyed towns. As a result, Farah lacks greatly in her control, however; ironically, she can shift at will with spasms of control every now and then.
⯠Genetics || Farah was not born a Minamoto. She was born to a pair of hunter-wolves, and as such, her genetics are a bit flawed. Where the Minamoto's inherited nullification, immunity, Farah inherited the weaker parts of it. She is capable of being subjected to the Minamoto's, to vampires and their abilities. She is physically weaker and smaller in size when transformed. This is mainly due to the flawed state of a hunter's original DNA. Hunters were not suited to become werewolves, and it is evident with Farah.
âI am soft spoken, or at least that is what they tell me. I...I suppose I could speak a little louder, but...I'm not sure how to be more out-spoken. I wish I could be like the others.â
âPersonalityâ
Farah is perhaps one of the most friendliest out of the Minamoto family. Her disposition is relatively calm, always willing to just sit and listen to someone who needs to vent, or just someone to listen to them. A young heart with an old soul. It is a what Eien called her once, and she doesn't fully understand what he meant by it, but others see it. For the most part, though, she is an extremely friendly person, able to befriend just about anyone and anything. She tries her best to get along with most people but knows there are some people that just are not friend material. Regardless, she does her best to be hospitable to people unless they provoke her temper, which is very hard to do. If she even had a temper to begin with, but due to her nature, she isn't without one. This temper of hers is extremely hard to bring out in her though as she'll usually take everything in stride with a smile. Despite being able to befriend just about anyone, Farah can be extremely shy.
She has a hard time talking to others, and usually, someone has to approach her first if they want to get a conversation out of her. If she doesn't know someone, and they approach her, she will turn a very light shade of pink until her face is about as red as a cherry, and she tries her best to control it. She doesn't understand why she gets this way, however; once she is comfortable with someone, she is able to keep the blush to a minimum. She'll still blush from time to time, but it's a little more controlled. She is extremely kind to a fault that it could end up possibly be her undoing one day. She tries her hardest to see the good in people, regardless of who they are. She believes that people can over come what they are, however, that is a bit hypocritical of herself as she doesn't believe she can over come what she is. Regardless, Farah is a sweet girl who only wants whats best for her family and tries her hardest to be a good friend.
âThey gave me life where they had no right to. They gave me a purpose, and I owe them everything. How can I ever repay them in something they had no right to do? They could have killed me, made me nothing more than a memory. But instead, they saved me.â
âHistoryâ
Faarah wasn't born to a Minamoto, she was born a Tasogare. If being born could even be considered what happened to Farah. She is in fact, a genetic clone of Esaias, born and raised in the lab by the Tasogare family, using the last of Esaias' blood that they managed to obtain before his untimely death. He was the only creation they managed to create that lived past infancy. Farah, however, had been an ultimate failure, their hopes at recreating Esaias dying when she showed no signs of that aggressive behavior they were looking for. Instead, they raised her as she was, a defect, and caused her to doubt herself on more than one occasion. It was never pleasant, growing up in the Tasogare's, but Farah hadn't minded much. She had a family, that was all that mattered.
Until they showed up. She wasn't sure what happened, all she could remember was a bloody fight between her parents and [/i]them[/i]. Farah had cowered in a corner, scared out of her mind as she watched the large white wolves saunter over towards her, however; the one that resembled snow, stopped before her. Something flashed behind the amber eyes, and Farah soon found herself staring at a woman who bore striking red hair and mahogany irises. She wasn't sure of what to make of the situation, but Farah soon found herself in a new home. Shizuka did not speak of the matter to her children, however; even the reason as to why Shizuka took Farah was still a mystery to her. She took to Hikari quickly as Hikari was the only one who accepted her the moment she set foot into the Minamoto residence.
It was during this time that she met the extended family of the Minamoto's, the Akarui's. She met Naya, Reiko, and Haru, all of whom she had a hard time befriending, save perhaps Reiko. The less-inclined Akarui twin was more inclined to befriending Farah than the other two Akarui's. Not that Farah minded, however; she did develop a sense of admiration for Naya. Naya had become somewhat of a role model for Farah because she wasn't afraid to be herself, and it was something Farah desperately wanted. She wanted to be mor out-spoken, more confident, however; she just couldn't. Needless to say, Farah grew up in a loving home where the family actually showed their affection for each other, and there was a point in time Farah truly felt like a daughter of the Minamoto's. But something lingering in her keeps her from fully accepting that feeling. As of now, she is currently attending Cross Academy with her siblings, something akin to dread falling down her spine. She can't explain it, but there is a feeling that something is going to happen, and it'll be soon.
âI owe the Minamoto family more than anything. I will do my best to make them proud, to show that their mercy was not wasted on the likes of me. I will make them proud.â
