Yuuki is generally, cheerful and comedic most of the time. She exhibits a strong attachment to her close friends, mainly Yori Wakaba and Zero Kiryu. Her indecisive nature and reticence can be attributed to her insecurity regarding the gaps in her memories of her past. She has a fear of vampires, limiting her movement beyond the Cross Academy grounds especially on her own. She is protective over Zero and fears the fact that he might become a level E. She is a bit shy of realizing the fact that she has been in love with her own (Ancestor) brother for all those times since childhood. As a human and then was reawakened, having grown as a human for 10 yrs. She also acknowledges the fact that there's a link on a part of her heart she cannot sever that is attached to Zero.
Her thirst for his blood did not keep her beastly need for Kaname’s blood and the want/guilt of remaining at his side. Her personality as a pureblood slightly lessens her indecisiveness, her determination to perform certain acts she believes is right often put her at odds with Kaname. To which she is ultimately belittled and put down by him to his will for she is too "young" and "needs" protection from him. Yuuki’s pureblood nature is not far from being a jolly and comedic young human girl she was, but when a situation arises, she can put in an authoritative face as is expected for a pureblood princess just like her brother/fiancé Kaname. However much of her happiness begins to fade the longer she spends time with the Ancestor and eventually Yuuki realizes who she was ever happy with.

Yuki was approximately 5 years old when Rido Kuran attacked the Kuran family seeking to take her. To protect her, Juuri sacrificed herself to seal Yuuki's Pureblood nature subsequently subduing the past five years of her memories as a vampire. Yuuki's earliest memory of that night is that of Kaname saving her from a vampire's attack once she'd awoken alone on a snow-capped hill. Since then she's harbored a great fear toward vampire kind, but also devoted to Kaname Kuran as he'd saved her life and took her into safety.
On occasion she's admitted to herself that she loves Kaname however different from her he may be. As well as acknowledged that a vampire and human can’t be together for obvious reasons.
As a child Yuuki was chronically troubled by night-terrors. Until Zero Kiryu joined their household and she found a new focus, someone else that needed to be healed. Together they formed a strong bond of friendship. Despite her own confusion with her mysterious past and phobias, she was able to lend Zero a hand "literally" in helping him get over the brutal slaughter of his family by, you guessed it, vampires. Little by little their relationship became more than mere friendship however subtle it may seem.
With Kaname Yuuki became distant after she witnessed him feed off of Luka Souen, another vampire and alumni of Cross Academy. Despite her having grown accustomed to his presence she had somehow forgotten of his truest nature. It made her believe she had no chance with him but her admiration and longing for him remained.
She adored Kaname but loved Zero.
Her friendship with Yori took place shortly after her enrolement along with Zero Kiryu into Cross Academy's Day Class. Not only as student but as its only Prefects that guard the academy secret of the existence of vampires which also attend the very school at night.
