Description

Image

| Name: Nyleria Therel | Gender: Female | Age: 36 | Species: Elf | Height: 5'9" | Weight: 142lbs | Sexuality: Straight |
| Hair colour: Red/orange | Eye colour: Green | Skin colour: Light | Job: Spy/mother |

Image Appearance:
Nyleria is slender and slightly tall, with skin that is surprisingly fair given the amount of time she spends outside. She has almond-shaped green eyes, elegantly arched eyebrows, and thick eyelashes. She has high, defined cheekbones and a light dusting of freckles across her cheeks. She has an average-sized nose and pretty bow lips. There is maturity in her features, though she still retains her youthful beauty. Nyleria typically dresses comfortably and warmly in fur-lined tights, boots, and a tunic.

Personality:
Nyleria is a tender, loving, and maternal woman. She cares deeply about her friends and family, and she will do anything for them. Even when she was young, Nyleria was a momfriend, always offering advice and trying to keep her friends on the right paths. She is calm and level-headed, and she always thinks things through before she does them. However, Nyleria's level-headed approach tends to get her in some trouble, particularly when she stops to think instead of acting.

History/Bio:
Nyleria is part of a nomadic tribe of elves that lives in the woods. From a young age, she was trained in archery, diplomacy, stealth, and trade, though archery and stealth were where she excelled. As such, it was decided that she would do best as a spy and a scout for the tribe. At nineteen, Nyleria married a young man of her family's choosing named Myrthal Therel, making her Nyleria Therel. At twenty, Nyleria had her first child - a boy named Orrian - and at twenty-three, she had her second child - a girl named Mayelle. For years, Nyleria and her children lived happy lives in the tribe. Myrthal could be troubled at times, as he had a bit of a problem with drinking and laziness, but he was Nyleria's appointed husband and she did everything she could to support him.

One day, though, Myrthal disappeared, along with Orrian, who was thirteen at the time. The entire tribe stopped their movements and all efforts were directed towards locating Myrthal and Orrian. Several months passed and, eventually, the tribe decided that it was time to give up their search. Nyleria was devastated and wanted nothing more than to find her son, but the tribe had given up hope, assuming that Myrthal and Orrian were dead, and they moved on. Nyleria never gave up the search, always asking around for leads whenever they stopped near a town or settlement. Finally, almost three years after Myrthal and Orrian's disappearance, someone was able to provide her with more information: her husband was dead, and had gotten their son killed along with him.

Nyleria was devastated, but became determined to avenge her son's death. According to the information she'd received, their deaths had been in some way related to gang activity on Veritas Isle. Unfortunately, that was all the information they'd been able to provide - reports about gang activity on the floating island were vague at best, and her informant advised that it would likely be impossible for her to recover their bodies. After petitioning the tribe leaders for weeks, they finally agreed to let Nyleria go to Veritas Isle and use her spying and scouting skills to uncover more information about Myrthal and Orrian's deaths and, if possible, to avenge them and eliminate their killers. For the time being, Nyleria's daughter Mayelle is staying with Nyleria's parents, and Nyleria is headed to Veritas Isle to begin her mission.

So begins...

Barynn laughed softly at his words, nodding. "You're right, you're right, I need to work," she said. She started to head into the back room as Luther laid down on the futon, but then she heard his words and she turned back around. "Is it?" she asked softly. She hadn't actually had the chance yet to lie down on the futon, having sat down but not having slept since her interruption last night had sent her back to Luther's house to sleep instead. She walked over, standing over him curiously and wondering whether or not there was room for her to lie down with him.

* * *

Nyleria Therel was intrigued by Veritas Isle. The entire thing just...floated. There didn't seem to be any reason or explanation behind it. She was curious, but she had no time to look into it. She had a mission to focus on. A pang came to her chest as she thought of her young son, taken from her too soon. She had her suspicions - if a gang was involved, it was probably something her husband had done and poor Orrian had simply been caught up in the crossfire. He'd been a drinker and a lazy man, after all, and he'd have been a gambler given the opportunity, so he'd probably bought something that he couldn't afford, made a deal that he couldn't keep, or stolen something that he couldn't repay. Maybe he'd simply upset the wrong person. She was determined to find out what it was, though, and she would do whatever she could about it once she knew.

Luther looked up at her and smirked. He got up and opened the futon into a bed and laid back down, pulling her back down with him. "Feel it. It is so comfortable." He said and chuckled before turning onto his side and looking down at her. "Hmm now I don't know if I should have given you this. You might never return to me." He said.

Uncle Q made his way around town, doing his business as usually, though he did want to look over the drop off. He liked to see the people coming in and get a feel for them. It seemed like the usual traders and people from around, but a handful of new people came in and he smiled, greeting them. Each seemed like normal people, but a redheaded woman stood out. He said nothing and just smiled as she walked by. When the dragon went back down he left and talked to a couple of men about the drop off and to watch it before taking his leave. He wanted to check up on the rehab houses and make sure they were stocked.

Barynn burst out laughing as Luther pulled her down on the folded-out bed with him. She giggled softly, shifting to also lay on her side and gaze towards him. "There's nothing you could do that would keep me from returning to you," she said, her voice soft. She lifted one hand, laying it delicately on his cheek. "I may get lost in my work for a few days, but in the end, I will always come back to you." There was a smile on her lips and her hazel eyes glittered with sincerity.

* * *

Nyleria walked through the streets, taking in the city as she went. She passed by an incredibly tall bearded man - a very handsome man - who smiled at her. She tentatively returned his smile, but kept on briskly walking by. There had to be an inn or a hotel somewhere in the city - finding a place to stay was her first order of business. The tribe had sent her with plenty of money, enough to stay a while and work on finding information, though she may need a side job if her search took very long - especially if she needed to blend in. A redheaded elf such as herself tended to stand out in human settlements, so she'd need to look like she was simply settling in before people started to ask questions.

Luther smirked, "Well it is nice to know you will choose me in the end. Futon zero and Luther one." He chuckled and leaned in, kissing her this time. She looked too sweet not to kiss. "You lips are so soft, I am jealous. How do you do that?" He asked her one he broke the kiss. "And how does you hair become so soft?" He played with her hair a bit. Luther's mind went to a place it shouldn't have and he had to think of boring and nasty things.

Two men that was sent from the central house went looking for this redheaded woman elf and found her rather easily. They kept their distance, but took note of what she was doing and where she was going.

Barynn was delighted that he kissed her, and she delicately kissed back. She smiled as she heard his words. "I take care of them. Same with my hair," she replied softly. There were a lot of women underground who didn't maintain their appearances, and while Barynn wasn't too concerned with appearances, she also didn't want to feel gross. She'd never cared for the idea of greasy hair or crusty lips, so she'd always made sure to pay attention to her hygiene. She loved the feeling of his hands playing with her hair, and she snuggled herself up against him comfortably. She felt peaceful like this.

Nyleria soon came across a hotel. It didn't look too expensive, nor did it look too sketchy. It looked somewhere in the middle, and that was exactly what she needed. She calmly walked inside, taking in the appearance of the place as she approached the counter. She offered the clerk a kind smile. "I'd like to rent out a room," she said politely. Her voice had a melodic, singsong quality and a slight accent that showed itself only every few words.

Luther frowned at her, "I do the same, but you don't see my hair as gorgeous as yours or my lips as pretty." He said and kissed her again, though he gently pushed her on her back and kissed down her neck. Her skin was so soft too, how she managed to stay single still baffled him. Someone as gorgeous as her could have found a suitable man and here he was, with her. Even being career driven, people liked to have fun, yet it seemed all she wanted was her jewelry, and him.

The clerk looked over at Nyleria and smiled, "Hello, dear. Welcome to Hantel and Greesal. Thank you for choosing us. What kind of room would you like? One bedroom or two? We ask you pay a small fee up front and give us an estimate of the time you will be staying with us. If you are spending more or less please let us know before hand." She smiled. The two men stayed outside and ate out front of the cafe across from the hotel.

Barynn laughed at Luther's words. She lifted a hand and ran it through his hair as he kissed her, and a shiver ran down her spine as he pushed her over on her back. She arched her neck slightly as he kissed it, and her arms looped themselves delicately around him. "Mmm," she murmured as she felt the sensation of his lips on the skin of her neck. It was a good kind of tickle, and she didn't want it to stop.

* * *

Nyleria smiled at how polite the clerk was. She appreciated that. She'd always had mixed encounters with humans - some were delightful to deal with, while others were quite unpleasant. "A one-bed room, please, it'll only be me," she replied, and pulled out her coin purse. "It will be for an indefinite amount of time, if that's alright. I'm not sure how long my business in town will take me," she added.

Luther tried to control himself as he kissed a bit lower and growled slightly at her taste. "To be selfish or not to be selfish..." He mumbled against her skin, his hand had slid up, and gently played with her undies. "Hmm, no no... I have enough guilt on my plate." He said and sat up. "You need to get to work, young lady. I can't be the reason my boss has to wait extra long to open up her shop." He smirked and gently pulled her up.

The clerk nodded, "Sounds good, dear." She turned around and got her a key and some papers. "The fee is this much." She said and pointed with a pen. "And we will collect weekly for the rent until your departure." She said softly. "This will be what we charged weekly." She said and point at that with her pen to before making a small X by a line. "Just sign your name here and you are all good to go. We have breakfast from eight to ten. Lunch will be at eleven till one and dinner will be at seven to nine." She smiled.

Barynn felt waves of delight filling her at the sound of Luther's low growl, and as his hand came to her underwear. She was disappointed when he pulled back, though, and she let out a dramatic sigh. "Fine, I'll work," she said, shaking her head. "You and your guilt. You're lucky that it's endearing," she added with a giggle, standing up and smoothing out her dress. "You have your nap and I'll go get some work done. I'll wake you if I'm hungry," she laughed.

* * *

Nyleria smiled and nodded, reading over the paper briefly as she listened to the clerk's words. "Three meals? That's lovely. Are all three included with the cost?" she asked as she signed on the line. She used her first name, but used her maiden name, Cayphine, as her last name. She quickly counted out money to match the amount that the clerk had indicated on the form, and then she handed it over.

Luther smirked and shook his head. "You have fun, babe." He said softly before closing his eyes and resting his hands at the back of his head. He thought about how the stars seemed to shine brighter when the moon was gone. How cats hated water. How dogs seemed like good boys and girls. He thought about anything that wasn't Barynn till he fell asleep.

The clerk nodded, "That it does! We like our guest to feel right at home." She said and gently took the money and the form when she was done. "If you need anything please let us know. We are always happy to help." She said softly.

Barynn headed into the back room as Luther laid back for his nap and she got straight to work. She worked nonstop for a little while, finishing the earrings that she'd been working on and getting most of the way through another necklace before she felt the first hints of a rumbling stomach. She set aside her work, heading out into the front of the store. She smiled as she saw Luther, lying on the bed asleep. Quietly, she crawled on to the bed, kneeling down beside him and leaning over to gently kiss his forehead. "Luther," she whispered, smiling happily. "Luuuuther..."

* * *

Nyleria smiled and nodded. "That's wonderful," she said to the clerk. "Thank you very much. I'll be sure to ask if I need anything," she continued. She paused slightly, glancing around, and then back at the clerk. "Actually, there is something you could do for me. I'm looking for some information and I'm willing to pay. I've heard rumours that there's a gang operating in the city. Is there any chance you'd be able to direct me to someone who could give me more information about that?" she asked, her voice low so as not to attract any attention.

Luther wiggled a bit before he heard Barynn's voice. He pulled her in and rolled so he was on top. "Baaarrryyyy." He copied her. "Did you get so lonely that you wanted to come sleep with me?" He asked and nibbled on her shoulder, inhaling her scent, and moaned softly as he pulled her in. "Or are you hungry?" He asked.

The clerk blinked and looked her up and down, wondering if she should still give this woman her room. "I do... most everyone knows who they are. If you are looking to do ill business with them I advise you take your coin back and find another place to stay. They are really good men and women, but if you must, those two fellas out there work for Uncle Q. If they see fit with you to meet Uncle Q than so be it." She said.

Barynn giggled as Luther pulled her close and rolled over on top of her. A shiver ran down her spine at the feeling of his lips at hearing the soft moan that left his lips. She wound her arms around him eagerly, closing her eyes and smiling. "I was hungry, but this is better than food," she replied softly, leaning forward and placing a soft kiss on his neck. What's good for her had to have been good for him, after all, right?

* * *

Nyleria raised an eyebrow slightly. She hadn't been expecting it to be quite this easy. She'd expected a line of shadowy informants before she even got close to the gang itself, but not only were there two men outside who worked for the gang, the woman running the hotel desk also knew who they were? It seemed odd. She wasn't sure she liked where this was going, but she nodded. "I see," she said. "You can rest easy, there'll be no ill business going on. Thank you," she said, and pulled out some extra coin from her purse, sliding it across the counter to the clerk and pausing to wait for the key to her room. She figured she'd best drop off her bag before she went looking for these gang people. Good men and women? She had to wonder how that could be. If her sources were correct, these people were responsible for the death of her little boy.

Luther smirked and let out a low growl when she kissed his neck. "Oh? So what, you going to eat me?" He asked and shook his head, chuckling a bit. He gently removed himself from her and stood before helping her up. "Sorry, but you need actual food. What kind of man would I be to not feed such a lovely lady?" He asked and held her hand before unlocking the door and watching her lock it back before taking her to a nice little restaurant.

The clerk nodded and handed her the key before taking the extra money and putting it in the donation jar at the end of the counter. She didn't know why this lady wanted to know who they were, but she was sure that her little Q could handle himself. It wasn't like she seemed ill intent but you could never be sure these days,

Barynn shivered at the growl sound that he made. She giggled softly. "I could do that," she murmured before letting out a disappointed whimper when he got up. She let him help her to her feet, disappointed that he just kept on getting her worked up only to back out. She took his hand, though, and let him lead her from the shop. Once it was locked up, she followed him to a nice little restaurant, cheerful as could be. She couldn't wait, though, to get back and show him the earrings she'd finished.

* * *

Nyleria smiled as she took the key, uttering a soft thank you to the woman before heading off to find her room. She had no trouble locating it, and she headed inside quickly. She shut the door firmly behind her, playing with the locks to ensure that the room would be safe and secure while she slept. Satisfied, she dropped her bag off on the bed and then left the room, locking it behind her and heading out of the hotel. She began to walk across the street, hoping that the two men indicated by the clerk would still be there. She couldn't figure out what the clerk had meant when she'd said that they were good men and women, but perhaps she could simply take a shortcut straight to the leader for the answers she needed.

When they got to the restaurant the hostess sat them down and have them a menu. He looked over it quite quickly and set it down. His eyes traveled out of the window and watched people pass by as she looked the menu over. If Luther kept it up with Barynn the way he was she was going to get frustrated and out him in a corner. He was going to have to stop and let her be with her work. The couples that passed made him smirk but then he looked away and smiled at her before the waitress asked them for their drinks. He ordered a water with lemon and let Barynn go at it.

The two men looked up at he was she walked over and smiled up at her, "Hello, how can we help you?" One of them asked her. They figured it would happen as Uncle Q said. He told them she had a certain look in her eye and it would be a matter of time that she was going to go looking. He said it is better to kill a snake at its head. They had been waiting, people knew of the gang pretty well, some had been in really bad gangs before and had a turn of heart before coming into Uncle Q's, they figured being with him would make up for their past sins.

Barynn followed Luther to the restaurant and they sat down, and then she began to gaze over the menu. There were plenty of options, and she wasn't entirely sure yet what she wanted. Of course Luther knew what he was getting; he'd set the menu aside almost immediately. It was so typical of him. The waitress came to take their drink orders before she'd decided, so she requested a lemonade and then turned her gaze back to the menu.

* * *

Nyleria felt concerned that the men looked up at her immediately. How had they known that she was coming to find them? But she offered them a sweet smile, pausing a safe distance from where they sat. "Hello," she chimed in her gentle, singsong voice. It was safer, she figured, to let them think she knew nothing of their gang activities and that she was merely an innocent woman trying to find her missing family members. "I'm looking for my husband. Somebody told me he was in the city, and the kind lady at the hotel desk told me that you may be able to point me in the right direction?" She was prepared to gauge their response, hoping that they'd be willing to help.

Luther looked over at Barynn and smiled, "You look real lovely in that dress... but then again you could be wearing trash and it still would look wonderful on you." He said and a few minutes later the waitress came to take their orders as she gave them their drinks. "I will have the regular, please." He said softly and let Barynn go on with her order. He always got the same unless he was off that day, but he was fine. Or so he thought anyway. When the waitress left he smiled at her. "What do you plan on working on today?" He asked.

They saw the flash of concern and how she stopped a distance from them. The larger guy wondered if she knew about them at all, but how couldn't she? She wouldn't have come this way and asked them specifically unless she knew and if that clerk told her than she really already knew. It didn't concern him much and he just smiled. "What is his name? We might be able to help." He said before popping a peanut into his mouth.

Barynn giggled softly as she heard Luther's words, a smile on her face as she looked his way. She appreciated his words. She'd never much cared what others thought of her appearance, but hearing him say that she looked lovely sent a thrill through her unlike anything she'd felt before. The waitress came back to take their orders and Barynn took a sip of her lemonade while Luther ordered, and then she placed her own order. She smiled back at Luther when the waitress left, and she absent-mindedly toyed with her ring. "I finished some earrings while you were asleep and I almost finished a necklace," she told him. "I'm just trying to get a few of everything to get started, and variety's important. I can't make five necklaces in a row," she added with a laugh. "So probably a ring or a bracelet. We'll see. It depends which stones jump out at me."

* * *

Nyleria smiled shyly, hoping to convey that she appreciated their willingness to see if they could help. Not that she trusted them, of course - if they were affiliated with the gang, and the gang responsible for the deaths of her husband and son, then how could she even begin to trust them? She couldn't. She'd take what they said with a grain of salt, but she'd see what she could do with the information they provided. That is, of course, unless they decided to take her prisoner. She'd been a prisoner once before - only for a day, and it had been a huge misunderstanding, but it still hadn't been pleasant. If these men thought that she knew things she ought not to know, or if they recognized her skill set and wanted to find a way to bring her over to their side, she could certainly see it happening. "Myrthal Therel," she said. "He'd have been with my teenage son, Orrian."

Luther listened and nodded, "Well you sure do seem to make pieces a lot faster than I thought. You will be open in no time and then I will have to show off my salesman skills. Oh no..." He chuckled and looked down at her. "Plus your pieces are lovely so I am sure I won't really have to do anything except smile, maybe. The might just ignore me all together." He said and intertwined his fingers with his. "Oh you still need to go over to Nas and do your sign, babe. I totally forgot about that." He sighed.

The large guy looked at the smaller one and he sighed. "That idiot was suppose to get in contact with her, but the are a nomad tribe. Ma'am," the smaller guy said, "We have been trying to get in contact with you and your tribe for ages. We can bring you to our boss if you would like or, as I see you are uncomfortable, I can have him meet you here in public. He can explain things more." He said, his eyes were apologetic.
