"Jeez... the things you do to me." He said softly.
She kissed him back tenderly and smiled as he laid beside her. She shifted, gently laying her head down on his chest and gazing up at him. "So...does this mean I'm forgiven?" she asked him with a small smirk on her lips, still trying to catch her breath.
Tyrell smiled and nodded, "It still hurts a bit, but... I can get over it, now that I know how you really felt. I love you, K... I really do." He said softly and pulled her close to him. "I really do want to marry you, but maybe we should wait just a bit." He said softly.
Keona gazed up at him as he pulled her closer. Something just didn't feel right about this. It shouldn't feel like such a meaningless victory. "I don't want to wait, Ty," she told him softly, reaching up and running her fingers through his hair. "If you want me and I want you, why should we wait? This is all I've ever wanted," she continued.
Tyrell sat up and looked down at her. "Why we should wait is because as much time as we spent together a good portion of it was us just fucking around. And yeah I know you somewhat, but to say we are ready for marriage is... another thing. I don't want to have to bring you to tears for you to be honest with me... with yourself. I want you to freely do that. And for that to happen we will need time, not rush off into marriage." He said softly.
Keona sat up as well, gazing quietly up at him. Part of her knew that he was right, but she was stubborn and didn't want to admit it, either to him or to herself. "Ty, I don't want to wait," she reiterated, shaking her head. "I've been waiting and waiting, and you finally tell me you're ready to settle down only to change your mind. If you want to be with me, then want to be with me. Please don't make me waste my time trying to convince you," she said.
Tyrell looked at her, his face softening, "If you think it is a waste of time to be sure than maybe you really aren't ready for anything serious. I have been married before, this shit isn't a game, K. You lied to Iri and me... you can't even be honest with yourself. You WANT to get married but you sure aren't ready for it." He said softly.
Keona frowned when she heard his words. She got up and started to gather up her clothing. "Maybe I should just go," she muttered as she started to get dressed again. "I feel like this is a mistake, Ty. I love you, and I want to be with you, but I also don't want to compromise who I am for who you want me to be."
Tyrell sat there and looked away, "I am not saying you have to... I am just saying you can't go on hurting people and expect people to want to stay close to you. No one good will stay with you and in the end you will just keep getting hurt." He said. "I am not going to fight you on this. I have dealt with a woman like you before and in the end I got fucked over. No morals means you give a shit about no one but yourself and if that is what you love so damn much then it is best if you just leave. But you can stay here with Lenny though... and here you are at being so damn selfish... that you would take your brother away from the woman he loves so damn much." He said coldly.
Keona finished getting dressed and then turned towards him. "Selfish?" she asked, getting angry. "How many times do I have to tell you that I did what I did to avoid being selfish? Because it wasn't fair to any of us for me to love her, least of all my brother." She walked towards the door, pausing just before she grabbed the doorknob. She turned towards him. "Good luck in Jerrical, Ty," she said, her voice a little softer, and then she opened the door and left, slamming it behind her. Lenandel wound both arms around her body as she laid down on him to catch her breath and he let out a soft, breathless laugh. "I feel the same way," he said, leaning to kiss the top of her head slightly. "You have no idea how excited I am to start this life with you, princess. This is everything I thought I never wanted, but with you, it just feels right, as if it was meant to be."
Iridessa smiled, "I feel the same way, though... I didn't even know if I wanted something like this. I was so focused on singing and traveling that settling down wasn't even there to be an option." She said softly before laughing. "Thank you for kidnapping me. We have had a fun and hard travel to get to this point, but... in the end it was worth it. You are worth it, babe. We have both changed." Iridessa said and sat up. "You have made me into... a stronger person. You have made me realize what I really want to do. You are my hero." She smiled softly before slowly taking him out of her and whimpering a bit.
Lenandel smiled as he listened to her speaking. Everything she said was like music to his ears. He let out a slight groan as she finally removed him from her, and he held her close in his arms. "Let's hope the trip back home isn't going to be as long and arduous as the trip here was" he told her in a soft voice, closing his eyes and holding her. "I hope I can keep being the man you want. I hope to keep being your hero...to be your hero every day. I love you so much," he told her softly. "Now we should sleep...the sooner this is done and over with, the sooner we can move on."
Iridessa smiled at his words and cuddled on the side with his good leg. "Mmm I can try." She said softly. "I love you." she whispered before covering them and closing her eyes. The next morning Tyrell woke up and groaned as he slid out of bed and showered. He washed off K and got dressed. She made up her mind and he wasn't going to waste his time on her anymore. Once he was ready he headed to Iridessa's room and knocked. Iridessa had woken and mentally sighed when she realized she had to leave him today. She got up and went showered before helping him into the bathroom and got him as clean as she could get him before helping him dressed and walked back out, sitting him in a chair when Tyrell walked in. He didn't look happy. Hell he didn't look like him old self either. "We are going to be heading out soon. Better hope his sister isn't a bitch and shows up on time." He said before walking out. Iridessa looked at Lenny, "I guess something happened." She said softly.
When morning came, Iridessa woke before Lenandel did. Lenandel awoke when Iridessa came out to help him get cleaned up. He smiled as she sat him down. "Thanks," he told her, setting down the crutches. He raised an eyebrow when Tyrell came in, frowning a bit when he left. "I hope my sister's okay," he said softly, shaking his head. "She's supposed to be taking care of me while you're gone, so I'm gonna have a problem if she doesn't show up."
Iridessa sighed, "I hope so too or you are coming with us and one of the guys can stay with you. I have no idea where she went or what happened, but I haven't ever seen Tyrell like that ever... even when he talked about his previous wife... who... well... did what K did to me, but he should have known she loved him." She sighed before gently massaging his upper leg with the splinter on it. Iridessa understood Tyrell's decision, though he could have been engaged to her and still get to know her better. She had loved him once and was glad he stopped them from going all the way. She was happy to have given herself to Lenny, though he was rough, but she couldn't see herself without him now and she forced herself not to even picture herself with K. K was just a black shadow to her. Nothing more.
Lenandel nodded slightly when she spoke, raising an eyebrow when she mentioned Tyrell's previous wife. "I didn't know Ty was married before," he commented. He glanced briefly at the door, hoping his sister would come in, and then he looked back to Iridessa. "Think you have time to grab us a quick breakfast before you have to leave?" he asked. He wanted to give Keona as much time as possible to return, since he knew that if she didn't and Iridessa made him go along with them, Keona would be furious when she did get back.
Iridessa nodded, "He was, but... she lied to him. Said she was in love with him and married him... he didn't go into detail as to why she did, but he was heart broken and torn up about it." She said. "She lied to me, not him. So I don't know." She sighed and nodded. "I will go get you breakfast at the price of one kiss." She smiled and leaned down, before gently pressing her lips to his. "Mmm okay food." She smiled and hurried off.
Lenandel was curious about Tyrell's marriage, but what Iridessa told him seemed to be all she knew, so he asked no further when she stopped. He smiled when she said that she'd get him breakfast for a kiss and he tenderly kissed her back when she leaned down for it. "Hurry back, and be safe," he told her gently before she left. He sat back in the chair, silently hoping that his sister would be back soon.
Iridessa came back a bit later with two things of food and handed him some before moving a small table for him to put it on and scooted the other chair up so she could sit with him. "Again... no one questions a pregnant girl when she has two big plates full of food. I think I might miss it when I have this baby." She laughed softly, noticing K wasn't here. A part of her was pissed because she was being selfish, but then again she might have been kidnapped again and that worried her.
Lenandel smiled when he saw Iridessa return with food. He took the food, thanking her softly while she brought the table and chair over to sit with him. He laughed softly. "Or maybe nobody's questioning it because they're assuming you're picking up food for both yourself and the father. That's what I'd assume, at least," he told her, setting the plate down and starting to eat. He was quiet for a couple minutes, focusing on eating, when there came a knock at the door. He frowned, glancing over at Iridessa. "My sister..?" he asked in a soft, hopeful voice.
Iridessa thought about it, "I mean... that is a logical thought." She said and smirked before nibbling on her food. A couple minutes later there was a knock on the door and when she looked at his face after he asked if it was his sister she covered her mouth to keep from laughing. He looked so hopeful, it was cute. She got up and opened the door to see K. "Bout time." she said with a smirk and walked back to her seat. "Looks like you guessed right." She told him softly.
Keona looked like shit when Iridessa opened the door. Her hair was disheveled, her bandanna was missing, her face was a bit red, and her clothes from last night were clumsily put on. She frowned a bit when Iridessa spoke, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. "Mind if I use your shower?" she asked, her voice a little hoarse and emotionless. Lenandel stared at her, wanting nothing more than to get up and go give her a hug. "Not until you come here and let me hug you. I was so worried," he replied. Keona sighed, reluctantly going over to Lenandel and leaning down to give him a hug.
Iridessa didn't question anything, she acted like she could care less how K looked. She wasn't her problem anymore. She sipped her orange juice and nibbled her bacon as the two talked. Tyrell could do better than K.
Lenandel frowned as he looked up at his sister. "Are you okay?" he asked her softly, and she shook her head. "No, not really," she replied. "I just need a shower. And a nap." Lenandel nodded when she spoke. "Okay. Go get yourself cleaned up. If you want to talk we can talk once Iri and the guys leave," he told her. Keona shook her head as she walked off to the bathroom. "I don't wanna talk," she replied before heading inside and closing the door. She started up the shower, the water hotter than it needed to be, and she undressed before stepping into the shower and starting to softly cry while she tried to wash away all the pain and sorrow that had come from last night.
Iridessa watched her leave before looking back at her food and finishing off. When she was done she kissed his cheek softly. "I am going to head off. We needed to get going now." She said before kissing his lips once more. "I will see you when I get back, babe. Love you lots." She said and hesitated for a moment before grabbing her bag and walking out.
Lenandel nodded when Iridessa kissed his cheek and said that she had to get going. "Of course, baby girl," he said as she kissed her back gently. He smiled, gazing up at her. "Please be safe and come back to me. I love you," he told her softly before she took her bag and left. The next couple of days were going to be long with a heartbroken Keona and no Iridessa.
The next couple of days were long and drawn out. She had wanted to get it over with, but the guys said patience was key. So she waited. What she didn't expect was for her aunt to tell her that the mayor was not her actual father and that she was something more than what she was raised to believe, that she had proved it by killing everyone. In the end she couldn't kill her aunt, but she had the guys do it as she gathered the money that Lenny and K were suppose to get, then the money from the people she killed along with their valuables. She tried paying Tyrell but he refused and after everything said he was going to get more information on what her aunt had said, that he would meet her at her farm when he found something. Wilson accepted a bit once she talked him into it and said it would be for the baby. Then Miles refused also and told her it would be for the baby. The two men dropped her off at the inn when they returned, and she told them to keep going since Wilson needed to get going back to his wife and Miles had a tavern to run. Iridessa sighed and carried everything into the room before looking up, "Hi.." She said softly.
Just as Lenandel had expected, the next couple of days were long and miserable. All he could think about was Iridessa. He hoped that she was okay. Keona wasn't talking much. She was attentive, of course, and he could tell that she didn't blame him for any of what had happened, nor was she mad that he got to keep Iridessa in the end. She was absent a lot in the evenings. The first night she came staggering back at almost five in the morning, clearly still drunk from what ever she'd been getting up to. Even when she was drunk, though, she picked up breakfast for the two of them before getting back, and then she retreated into the shower. She helped him to shower, she took him out of the inn and got him walking around as Iridessa had wanted, and she kept him fed. She just...didn't talk. She seemed to him as broken as he'd felt when Iridessa had been gone. He was sitting alone in the room when Iridessa returned. Keona had just dropped off his dinner and had left, and he doubted that she'd be back until morning - which was fine, because they'd figured out together that he could get from the chair to the bed on his own, and vice versa. His eyes widened when he saw Iridessa and he grinned. "Iridessa," he said softly, opening his arms for her to come to him. "I'm so happy to see you."
She dropped everything and went to him, hugging him and holding him close. "I have... so much to tell you." She said softly before cupping his cheek softly and kissing him deeply, "But first I have to love on you." She laughed softly, not even noticing K hadn't been there. "Mmm, we have missed you." She said softly and moved his hand to her bump.
Lenandel grinned when she came over and hugged him. He pulled her close to him and kissed back just as deeply, a light groan escaping his lips as he drew back. "I've missed you so much," he said as she put his hand on her stomach. He gently rubbed the bump, leaning down carefully so he could place a soft kiss on it. "Hey there, little baby...daddy missed you..." he said softly.
Iridessa smiled and kissed the top of his head as he kissed her belly. She loved when he talked to the bump. "I think, if it talked, it would say you better have." She giggled and sat next to him. "So... found out that the mayor is not my actual father... and that I am something... but she didn't tell me what and in the end I couldn't kill her... but the guys did. I was going to split some of the money, but Tyrell refused and decided instead to go look up answers for me. Miles also refused, and I had to used Wilson's baby against him. So... we have enough to get a farm and then some. Also..." She looked around the room. "Did K step out?" She asked softly.
Lenandel chuckled slightly when she commented on what the baby would have said if it could talk. "That'd be a damn clever baby if it could talk without having even been born yet," he said, not removing his hand from her bump. He quietly listened while she spoke, raising an eyebrow. "The mayor's not your father...?" he asked slowly, surprised. He smiled a bit when she said that the guys hadn't accepted the money. "That's kind of you, and lucky for us," he told her, running his fingers through her hair. He nodded when she asked if Keona had stepped out. "Yeah. She's probably off getting drunk like she has been. So...what do you want to call our farm?" he asked with a smile.
Iridessa nodded about the clever baby, but then listened about how K was off getting drunk, "What the hell?" She asked while shaking her head, "As long as she was fucking taking care of you... that's all that matters." Then she thought about what to call their farm. "Mmm well.. I like Tumaine as a name... but I was hoping K would be in on it... because you know.. two main farms." She pressed her lips together to keep from laughing at her own lame ass joke. "W-What about you?" She asked trying hard not to laugh.
Lenandel nodded quickly when Iridessa said that all that mattered was that Keona had been taking care of him. "Of course she was," he replied. "She took great care of me. She just, you know, spent her evenings off getting drunk and doing god only knows what else," he said with a shake of his head. He smirked a bit when he heard her joke. "You're awful," he told her teasingly. He paused, thinking. "I have no idea. My family's farm was called Two Pine Pastures, because apparently my great-grandfather built the original farmhouse using the wood from only two pine trees...so unless we can find something creative like that, we might just have to go with the family name," he laughed, shaking his head. "That might not be so bad, though. There are plenty of old farmers and them in the area who know the name from the farming industry. They'd be glad to know I'm getting back to it. We'd have plenty of support and we probably wouldn't have trouble finding buyers and suppliers."
Iridessa listened and smiled at his family's farm name. A part of her was kind of sad that he and K sold the farm. She could just seem him being a farmer and she slapped her cheeks as a blush appeared. "Mmm... we have time to think about it since I still have to get a deed to some land and you know... my fath- the mayor..." She was trying to figure out everything. All she knew was the mayor and where the fuck was her so called father at? It was clear she had shit luck when it came to fathers. "My FATHER... would end up knowing where the good land is.. or well... I do and I just need to get him to sign off on the deed. So... we could stay at my folks place until we do." She said and scrunched up her nose. "My father is going to make us sleep in different rooms though you already knocked me up. He might be shit, but I think I understand now why he didn't want me to sing to the public. He could have gone without slapping my face about, but that was his only real flaw. He knew about my going out... but only ever got mad when shit broke out. Like when Tyrell and Miles had to save me..." She said while swaying. "He IS my father... blood or not... if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be able to lead... and I have to thank him for that." She said, tearing up. "Ugh fuck this.... this is the third time I cried today. Miles said if I don't stop the baby isn't going to have any emotions... then Wilson punched him off the cart." She laughed. "Said his baby was going to have emotions, which confused the fuck out of me until I realized he wife must cry a lot." She laughed softly.
Lenandel quietly listened while she spoke, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Wouldn't it just be easier for me to buy the farm?" he asked slowly, cocking his head to the side slightly. "If the mayor is going to make things difficult, we don't have to tell him right away that you're involved. I can just...go buy a farm, and then there are no obstacles and you can do whatever it is you need to do to make amends with him," he continued. A slight smirk came to his lips. "It might be true. Our mother cried a lot - she was a very emotional person and, well...you've met me and my sister," he said with a shrug.
Iridessa sighed, "I mean I COULD point you to the good land... it is gonna cost a good coin, but we have many of those, but he is going to know within the day that I am back. EVERYONE knows me. So once word gets around... he is going to come looking and I rather not make him as mad as he probably already is. So if you want to buy the land first we can, but we have to also see him the same day. Plus you know... I would REALLY like to see my mom." She said before huffing. "HEY... should we talk about how K is drinking her liver away and how you were when I left or better yet how you are whenever you see the bump? You two are so emotional. Psh... our baby will so have emotions." She said and looked away. "So rude... to think I came alll this way to love on you. Tis tis... I should just scoot on out of your reach, big boy." She smirked and got up to move away.
Lenandel nodded slightly when she spoke. "Then we'll do what you think is best, and if that means convincing him yourself to sell us the land, we'll do that," he told her. He laughed a bit when she commented that the baby would definitely have emotions. "If that's what you think then let's hope it's true," he said with a grin. He blinked in surprise when she went to move away. "Don't you dare go anywhere," he growled, grabbing her before she could move away and pulling her into his lap. "You sit yourself right here and don't even think about getting up," he told her before leaning in and beginning to gently kiss her neck.
Iridessa smirked, "We can figure it out when we go home." She said before laughing softly and looking at where she was sitting so she wouldn't hurt his leg. "Oh? So you think you are in charge again?" She asked before biting her lip to hold back a moan. "Excuse you..." She said softly and closed her eyes. Iridessa loved the feeling of his lips on her neck. "Hmm so if I move... wait... you can't stop me." She huffed softly and gently getting up.
Lenandel smirked slightly when she questioned his being in charge again. "I never stopped being in charge, princess," he told her in a low voice. When she stood up, he blinked in surprise. "You get back here," he told her in a stern voice, patting his lap. "You don't get to leave. Not yet. I'm not finished with you," he said. Though he spoke sternly, there was a smirk on his lips the whole time.
Lenandel smirked a little bit when her response was to tell him that he'd get nothing. He gave her a short nod. "Very well, then," he replied, reaching to grab his crutches and heaving himself to his feet. "I guess that means it's time for bed, then." He eyed her closely, knowing he was in no state to try to take her regardless of what she said, so instead the best he could do was to act unfazed and let her play her little game. "I'm surprised you're not looking for more after being away from me for so long. Perhaps you're not as into me as I'd thought. Such a shame."
Iridessa glared at him and watched as he went to the bed. "If you think that then so be it." She said and got dressed. "Well if you are going to bed I am going to go out and see if I see K at any of the taverns I sing at." She said and walked over before kissing his cheek. "Sleep well, babe." She said softly.(edited)
Lenandel raised an eyebrow as he sat on the bed. "Huh. So you really didn't miss me all that much," he teased with a slight smirk. "Be safe, princess. If you go and get yourself snatched or killed before I have a chance to punish you for that little display just now...well, I don't know what I'll do," he said with a shake of his head.
Iridessa rolled her eyes and walked out. He just pissed her off and she wasn't about to go find his stupid sister either. She walked around for a while and looked at the woods, a shiver running through her. She wish someone would try something. She wasn't in the fucking mood to be messed with. Iridessa walked in and figured she would run into a river at some point.
[[Time skipppp]] In the morning, Lenandel was woken by Keona staggering in. "Morning," she mumbled groggily. Lenandel sat up, frowning as he looked around. "What...where's Iridessa?" he asked, looking up at Keona. Keona stared blankly at him for a second. "Uhh...in Jerrical?" she responded, but Lenandel shook his head. "No, no. She got back last night a bit after you left. And now...fuck, now she's not here," he said, grabbing his crutches and scrambling to get up. Keona reached up and put her hands on his shoulders. "Calm down. You're not really in a state to go looking for her right now. So she was here when you fell asleep?" she asked, but Lenandel shook his head. "No," he replied. "She was...well, never you mind that. She said she was going to go sing at some taverns and see if she ran into you. I'm assuming that didn't happen...fuck, where is she?" he asked, his heart racing.
Iridessa woke up in a room that wasn't familiar, and she shot up. She looked down, but she was fully clothed. How did she get here? She peeked out the window and notice she was in a whole different town. Panic set, she needed to get back to Lenny. He might think she left him again. She went to open the door and it was locked. "The fuck?" She whispered and went to look out the window, if she tried climbing out she would kill her and the baby. She sighed and slid down the wall and hugged her knees to her chest, waiting for whoever it was that held her here.
Keona helped Lenandel get downstairs and into the main part of the tavern. "You wait here. Order breakfast. Be visible in case she comes back," she told him. She sighed and shook her head. "She's probably run off again. I keep telling you that she only cares about herself and you keep not listening, she muttered before heading over to the innkeeper. "Excuse me, have you seen my sister-in-law anywhere? The tiny blonde girl. Apparently she got in last night but then went out again and my brother's worried sick," she said, hoping that the man would have some clue as to where she was.
The man smiled, "Ahh yeah, I saw her walk out. She looked like she didn't know where to go, but headed towards the woods. I heard something went on there by the river, but no details about who all was involved. You might want to go check and see." He said softly.
Keona frowned when she heard the innkeeper's words and she nodded, pulling some money out and handing it to him. "Thanks. I'll go check. If you hear anything, can you let my brother know? He's not gonna be going anywhere any time soon, and like I said, he's worried sick. She's pregnant, too..." Keona sighed and shook her head. "Sorry. Thank you," she said. She headed over to Lenandel. "He said something happened by the river but he's not sure what, so I'm going to check there first and make my way back here. I asked him to let you know if he finds out anything else," she told him, and Lenandel nodded. "Okay," he said, and Keona turned to leave, heading out of the inn and into the woods to find this river.
Iridessa had dosed off when the door opened and she was about to sing when the man who held her hair up that night came in. "You... I... I should have known." She said and was about to sing again when he put a bubble around her. "Listen.. I did not kidnap you. You went crazy. Some drunk guys were trying to ask you how to get out of the woods and you killed them. I should have known that after you killed all those people in Jerrical that it would cause this, anyway I am making sure you go to someone who can help you with your abilities before you kill anyone else. You were on a rampage. After you killed those guys you found the next city and began dropping people like crazy. I had to knock you out. I know you are pregnant and so you have to feed on double the energy." He sighed and rubbed his neck. "I can't send you back to those people you were with... I am sorry." He said and placed food on the table for her before walking out and locking the door behind him. The bubble disappeared and Iridessa stood there. She didn't remember all of that. She remember the men and then... nothing. Iridessa covered her mouth and stooped down before crying. She didn't... she couldn't... Iridessa ran to the bathroom and puked into the toilet. She couldn't even trust herself.
Keona made it to the river and her eyes widened in horror when she saw the scene before her - a group of men dead on the ground...including a man she'd just drunkenly slept with not two nights ago. Her mouth fell open and one of the guards attending the scene caught sight of her. "Miss, if you could please return to town - this is no sight for a lady," he said, starting towards her, but Keona looked up at him. "My pregnant sister-in-law is missing and until you can tell me beyond a shadow of a doubt that what happened here has nothing to do with her disappearance, I'll stay right here," she replied. The guard frowned, turning towards another of the guards. "Captain," he asked, "what can we tell her?"
The captain growled, "This is why I tell you all to watch who goes in and out of the damn woods." He told the guard. The Captain sighed and handed her a bandana. "We thought at first that one of the men like... womenly bandanas but... now that you say a woman is missing and she is with child... puts this on high alerts." He said. The guard ran over to the others to rely the information.
Keona's eyes widened when the Captain handed her a bandanna. She knew this bandanna, having given it to Iridessa when they'd been together. She stared at it and then looked back up. "This belonged to her," she said softly. "Fuck...my brother's going to kill me," she said, putting her head in her hands. She should have been there when Iridessa had arrived, should have been able to keep an eye on her. She looked up at the guards. "Do you have any ideas where they might have been taken? I want to help, if you need an extra pair of hands. I'm a sellsword but I'll do it for free since I've got family involved," she said, hoping they'd agree to let her help. It was the least she could do to make it up to her brother.
The guard came back and frowned, "We have word that down the river more bodies were found and a girl was seen being knocked out and taken away." He said and looked back at her. "Was she a pale girl with light blond hair?" He asked. The captain looked over at her, "If you want to help, first go tell your brother the news you have and then head down the river to the next town. Tell them you were sent by Captain Aris and who you are looking for." He said softly before yelling at his men for doing a poor job last night.
Keona quickly nodded when the man questioned whether Iridessa was a pale girl with light blonde hair. "Yes. Her name is Iridessa," she replied. "She's pregnant with my brother's child. He can't help or anything because he's got a broken leg...ugh, this is shit timing." She looked up when the captain addressed her and she promptly nodded. "Yes, sir," she replied, turning and all but running back to the inn. She went to Lenandel, a bit apprehensive about telling him the news. He looked up at her. "Well?" he asked, looking nervous. "I spoke with the captain of the guards," Keona replied. "There were a bunch of dead bodies by the river and reports of a pale girl with blonde hair being knocked out and taken away. Lenandel, sit your ass back down! I've got this. I promise I'll bring her back for you, the captain agreed to let me help," she said, all but wrestling him back into his seat when he started to get up. Lenandel sighed, nodding. "Fine. Please hurry, though," he said. He pulled off their father's dagger from his belt and handed it to her and she took it with a nod, strapping it onto her own belt. "I'll bring her back," she replied, leaning over and kissing her brother's cheek quickly before turning and hurrying off. As ordered by the captain, she headed to the river and started to follow it downstream until she came to another town. She headed straight to the first guard she spotted. "My name's Keona Tumaine. Captain Aris from the next town over sent me. We're looking for someone - a small girl, pale and blonde and pregnant," she told him, hopeful that he'd have information or that he could point her in the direction of someone else who might know.
Iridessa hadn't touched the food and when Raphael came back he sighed. "Look, this isn't your fault... you weren't raised to understand or harness your abilities. Don't beat yourself up about it." He said softly. She looked up at him. "It isn't just that... I can't leave Lenny... I just got back to him." She cried. Raphael didn't really know how comforting worked so he walked over and awkwardly patted her head. "It is for the best if you leave him and his sister behind for now." He looked at Keona and nodded, "Well they headed north. There is a town about... thirty minute horse back. If you want you can go and ask around to see if they saw her. If you find them please report back to me and Captain Aris with this information." He said softly before getting on of the guards to give her a horse.
Keona nodded promptly when the guard told her to head to the town half an hour north of there to see if she could find any more information. "Thank you," she told him. When the guard returned with a horse she thanked them again and hopped on, digging her heels into the horse's sides and taking off. It had been a while since she'd ridden horseback, usually opting for a cart since she and Lenandel had important cargo to carry around, but she rode like it had been no time at all and she went as fast as the horse would go.
Iridessa looked up at him, "If I do that... I could never go back to him. He wouldn't want me." She said horrified. He frowned, "Then should you really be with a man like that?" He asked and shook his head. "Plus, do you really want to raise your child ignorant of her abilities too?" He asked her and she shook her head no. "Can.. Can I at least write them to say I will be going or can't you appoint me someone when I get home. You have been following me for god knows how long and you have yet to help me. There was a knock at the door and he went go see who it was. It was someone from his work who had a letter for him. He thanked him before closing the door and reading the letter. "It looks like you are to be brought back to your home... but we don't have time to go back and get your friends. We can write them a letter telling them to meet us there." He said and have her things to write
Half an hour passed and, as expected, Keona came across another town. She dismounted and held on to the reins of her horse. It was a little harder to find a guard here than it was in the last two towns, but she finally located one and approached. "Excuse me," she said. "My name's Keona Tumaine. Captain Aldis sent me, from a couple towns over. We're looking for a missing person - a young woman, small and pale with blonde hair and a small baby bump. Do you know anything about her?" she asked, hopeful that this wouldn't be a dead end.
The guard look at her and then thought about it. "I haven't seen anyone like that around here. You are free to ask around town if someone might have saw her." He said softly. "I will let the other guards know." He said. Iridessa handed him the letter when she was done. He nodded and walked out before locked the door and walking out of the building to find a post office. Iridessa sat by the window and watched the outside world while crying. He was going to hate her, but she didn't leave him. She wasn't suppose to be here.
Keona nodded when the guard answered, her heart sinking. They hadn't come through here, had they? She figured it was best that she ask around first, though. "Thank you," she said. "I'll be around if you hear anything. I'll let you know if I leave," she said, heading to the town stables to leave her horse while she asked around. She decided to start with the local inn, since inns were usually a hub of information, so she headed inside and approached the front counter, repeating to the person there what she'd asked a couple times already now.
The man listened to her and shook her head, saying he would keep his eyes out and report to a guard if they found or seen her. When she walked out Iridessa say her and banged on the window. "K!!!" She yelled as loud as she could and hoped she could hear despite her being so far high up. "Please please please." She cried and slammed her fists on the window and screamed her name again.
Keona sighed softly when the man at the inn told her that he hadn't seen anything and she left, pausing in the street and looking around. She had no idea where to even start looking next. At least they knew Iridessa hadn't simply left - she'd been taken, which meant that she'd be doing her damndest to get free as well. Keona just had to figure out where she was so she could help. If she hadn't found anything out by now she would have been inclined to just tell her brother that they should leave, and she was glad that the guards back where Lenandel was had received a report about Iridessa being taken. She sighed and put her head in her hands, taking a moment to compose herself. She had to figure this out. She wished they were closer to home, back where she knew the area well - she knew it vaguely here, but not well enough to know any good places to take a person.
A man looked up to see Iridessa banging on the glass and yelling. "Uhh ma'am... I thinking someone is looking for you." He said and pointed to Iridessa. When she looked up she would see Iridessa and then someone yank her away from the window.
Keona raised an eyebrow when a nearby man got her attention and pointed upwards. Keona looked up just in time to see Iridessa at the window, but before she could even wave or anything, someone pulled her away from the window. Keona's eyes widened in horror. Iridessa was somewhere in that building. Her heart started racing. Should she just charge right in there or should she alert the guards? There weren't many guards to begin with and she had her doubts about how useful they'd be, so she headed to the door of the building to see if she could get in.
Two men stopped Keona at the door, "I am sorry ma'am, this is a private residence. Unless you have a card you aren't allowed in." One of the men said. Raphael glared at her, "What the hell are you doing? Do you want to kill other innocent people?!" He yelled at her and she shook her head crying. Keona had saw her and she had a chance to get out. "Come on, we are going out the back way." He said and gripped her wrist a bit tightly before dragging her down the stairs and to the back. "Please... I won't do it again." She cried and then tried to sing. When they got outside he gently pushed her against the wall and cupped her face. "Your singing isn't going to work on me. Stop. You are going to go crazy and kill people... even your stupid ex girlfriend." He said.
Keona frowned when the men stopped her. "A missing person from a couple towns over is in this building," she said. "There's no time to waste. Either you need to let me in or you need to go get her yourselves and deal with the kidnapper," she continued. Her heart was racing. Whoever it was that had her had taken her from the window, meaning that they probably knew she had seen Keona and gotten her attention. For every second that she lost, the person could be packing her up and going somewhere else with her. "I don't think I need to remind you that it's literally against the law to kidnap people," she continued.
The men looked at each other and let her through. "Go on." They said. They weren't about to get arrested for this shit. Iridessa was shaking. "Please... just let me go get Lenny.. then we can go... I promise. I won't fight. He can't fight... they would understand. It is literally not that far from here if we go now. I am begging you." She cried. "I am sorry about this." He said and knocked her out. Raphael carried her down the alley to a nearby cart.
Keona nodded when the men told her to go ahead and she all but ran inside. She hurried up the stairs to the floor on which she recalled seeing Iridessa, quickly counting the doors until she reached the one that Iridessa should have been behind. Should she knock, or should she just barge in? She tried the door first and it opened, much to her surprise. She walked right in, looking around...but saw nothing. There was nobody here. "Fuck!" she exclaimed, looking around. They must have left when they'd realized that Iridessa had caught her attention.
Raphael gently laid her in the cart and looked down at her small bump before gently rubbing it. He didn't understand why his kind had to produce kids and then let them run around not knowing how to work their abilities. She was a gorgeous girl too. She didn't deserve this. He sighed and looked back at the door which they came from and wondered if she found the room yet. Raphael didn't wait too long before climbing into the cart and told the driver to go.
Feeling somewhat disheartened, Keona hurried back down the stairs to the front door, approaching the men who'd stopped her on the way in. "Did anybody leave this building while I was up there?" she asked, a little bit frantically. "They're gone. Is there any way somebody could have slipped out?" she asked.
The men looked at each other and then at her and shook their head, "We didn't see anyone come out, but there is a back door if you go straight down you will hit a door. They could have gotten out that way." One man said.
Keona's eyes widened when the men said that there was a back door and she nodded. "Thanks!" she called behind her as she took off in the direction they'd indicated. Sure enough, she found a door, but nobody there. She slowed to a stop, looking around. There were wheel prints in the ground, meaning that a cart had obviously been here at some point, though it was hard to say exactly how fresh they were. Fresh enough, she suspected, to mean that Iridessa had been rushed off somewhere else to keep her from being found.
Raphael gently tied Iridessa and sat back. He didn't like doing this to her, she had been through enough. Hopefully that letter got to them before they left. He zapped her with enough energy to wake her up a bit. Iridessa slowly opened her eyes and looked around before scrambling to sit up before looking at her tied up hands and feet. She didn't say anything but brought her knees up and hugged them to her chest and silently cried.
Keona hurried back to the front of the building and out into the street. She looked around until she found a guard, incidentally the same one she'd spoken with before, and she approached him. "The girl I'm looking for was being held in that building," she said, gesturing towards the building where she'd seen Iridessa. "I saw her in the window and then I saw someone pull her away from the window. I went up there but she was gone. There are wheel tracks at the back door of the building. I suspect a cart took her away - have any carts recently left the town? Or is there someone who can tell me if there have been?" she asked, hopeful that the guards could point her in the right direction. A single horse and rider moved faster than a cart did, which meant that she could probably catch up.
The guard frowned and looked at her before looking around, "If you cut through this alleyway and then go straight. you will get to the other end of town pretty quickly. There are guards there that will tell you. I just sent men that way, but I highly doubt that they would make it in time tell the ones at the entrance. "Take your horse." he said.
Lusty Lala-Last Sunday at 9:21 PM
Keona nodded quickly. "Thank you," she told him. She hurried to the stables to get her horse from the stablehands, and she hopped on its back. She followed the route the guard had given her and, sure enough, she reached the opposite end of town in almost no time. She could see the guards stationed there, and she could see a pair of guards approaching them - presumably the ones that the guard she'd spoken to had sent. She rode up to them and looked down at the group of them. "There's a missing girl," she cut in before they could even tell one another anything. "Small, blonde, pale. I think she was taken away in a cart from that tall building on the other end of town," she said, pointing. "Have any carts come through here in the last, say, five minutes?"
The guard looked up at her, "Yeah, there was one that just passed a few minutes ago. You will make it to them if you go now." He said. Raphael sat next to her. "Look, if what you wrote in your letter explained everything he won't hate you. He would understand... that is if he loved you. If the letter gets to them by tomorrow than they will be able to catch up and that way you won't have to go alone." He said softly. "I will try and get someone to come and teach you." He said softly.
Keona's eyes widened when she heard the guard's words and she nodded. "Thank you!" she said, digging her heels in and taking off in the direction the guard had indicated. She had to find that cart. There was a part of her that knew that this wasn't just about Lenandel. This was about Iridessa, and the baby, and Keona. She couldn't stand to think of that might happen if she didn't catch up to them in time. She had to save her.
Iridessa looked up at him, "What... what about my baby? Is it... going to be okay with all that I have done? What... what exactly do I do?" She asked. Raphael leaned down and listened to the baby's heart beat. She blushed hard, "Your baby is fine. You are part succubus, which is just someone who eats energy. Some people do that through sex, singing, dancing, or just a simple touch. I am an incubus... I create energy and can shove it into people or use it as a shield and other things. If I don't have an energy sucker, " He pointed to his earrings, "It can become too much." He said softly before hearing more hooves and looked out of the car to see Keora. He sighed and shook his head. "Stop the cart. You stay here." He said and got out of the cart when it stopped.
Sure enough, it didn't take Keona long to catch up to the cart. She grinned when she saw it ahead of her. Now all she had to do was keep pace with it until it stopped, unless she could find a way to distract the horses or the driver to make it stop earlier. Before she could make a plan, though, the cart stopped on its own. Keona raised an eyebrow, slowing to a stop and eyeing the man who climbed out. She drew the dagger Lenandel had given her, pointing it at him. "I'm looking for a small blonde girl and I have reason to believe she's in your cart. Hand her over and I'll let you walk free," she told him.
He sighed and formed the bubble around him and the cart. "I can't let you do that. She is a danger to everyone, including the unborn child. She has written a letter and it should arrive tomorrow... or tonight... saying we will be heading back to her home. If you two leave tonight you might catch up with us, until then I cannot let her around anyone near her or her near anyone else. " He said plainly. "Seriously, Keora... she is in need of someone to teach her about her abilities and all you or your brother have been doing is fucking her up more than she needs to be. She killed almost twenty fucking people last night. Totally blacked out and couldn't even control herself. If it wasn't for me she would be dead." He said.
Keona's tough look faltered slightly when she heard the man's words. He obviously knew about her abilities, and after what she'd seen when Iridessa had rescued her from Matteo, she definitely believed that Iridessa could be responsible for those dead bodies by the river. She hesitated a moment. "Let me speak with her," she said finally. "If she can confirm what you're saying then I'll let you go and we'll cooperate with you. I want her to learn to control her abilities and I'm sure my brother feels the same way, but first you have to prove that we can trust you," she told him.
He looked at her, "I will not. You, out of all of the group, has cause her the most stress. I can't take that risk. If it was your brother or tyrell... literally anyone else I would. I told you not to make me do more paper work. Now my boss is wanting us to bring her home. Him and her father are waiting." He said.
pop
Keona raised an eyebrow when he spoke and she shook her head. "That's not an answer," she replied. "All I ask is to see her and for her to confirm what you're saying. I won't do a damn thing beyond that. If you won't do that then I'll keep following you until you stop - and my horse has a much lighter load than yours do, so you'll definitely be stopping before me. Now, let me see her," she said. "Like I said - that's all you have to do to earn our cooperation."
He looked at her and glared before going inside of the cart and undoing her binds before letting her go. Iridessa got out of the cart and looked at her. "Yeah what he is saying is true." She said plainly, hearing that she wouldn't take her back to Lenny. Iridessa looked at the bubble if this was energy and she consumed it... that meant she could create a hole. She went up to the bubble and sang to it softly. Like she thought she created a hole. Raphael was shocked, no one ever tried that before and have it actually work. Iridessa stepped through the hole. "I am going back to fucking Lenny. You two assholes can jerk each other off for all I care." She said and started walking. "I didn't fucking kill all those people two have HER and YOU fucking tell me what the hell I should do." She said, Raphael scrambled to get off the cart when she stopped. Iridessa though about making K drop. To suck every last ounce of energy in her. She could feel it, but there was something else, just a hint coming from her. She turned around and laughed, "You are so fucking sad, Keona. I should have just fucking left you with those cannibals." She said before she started walking. Raphael all but screamed. "Wait... I will take you back to him. IF you come with me back to your home." He said. She topped looked at him like he was an idiot, "I AM going home, but I am not leaving him behind." She said. "I left him enough... I won't do it again." She said. He nodded and made the driver turn around before slowly following next to her.
Keona blinked, surprised by what she saw. Before she knew it, Iridessa had started off, so Keona turned her horse along and rode up along beside her. "Iri, Lenandel is worried about you. I've been trying to find you all morning," she said softly, glancing briefly back at the cart before looking at Iridessa. "You didn't really think I was just going to let this guy take you, did you? I only said that so he'd let me see you," she added, pausing for a moment. "If he can teach you to control your abilities, though, you should take him up on that. Not by letting him kidnap you, obviously, but by having him teach you on your terms while still letting you live your life. I think Lenandel would agree that you should learn to control them..."
Iridessa laughed, "I sure in the hell wouldn't put it past you. Not like like you are some worthy person to be trusted." She said. "Oh and he isn't gonna teach me shit. I will most likely be taken off once I get home. So you can shove your fucking fake ass care up your stupid ass." She said and called for Raphael and reached up. He helped her into the mocing cart and whispered, "are you okay." She shook her head and laid down.
Keona frowned when Iridessa spoke. She was honestly glad that she hadn't kept things up with Iridessa. She was an obnoxious little bitch and Keona was reaching a point where she questioned what she'd ever even seen in her - sure, Iridessa was pretty, but was that all there had been to it? A purely carnal, physical attraction? Keona shook her head, continuing to ride alongside the cart. If Iridessa hadn't been pregnant she'd have just given up after that - Lenandel deserved better, after all, and she'd have just gone back to him and given him a story - but there was a baby involved, his baby, and Keona wasn't about to let her brother lose his chance at redemption and being a father.
Raphael awkwardly patted her shoulder and she looked at him before laughing softly, "You really are awkward." She said and he nodded. "I was taught to just get information and stop things if they escalate. Feelings would complicate things. As you can tell with your big adventure." He said. She sighed because he was right. "Or you know, you can fake it and act like your ass did nothing wrong." She said and he nodded. The ride back was a long hour. K only cared about herself and it was pretty clear now. So when they got back she went straight to Lenny. "I'm so sorry." She said softly. "I didn't run away, I promise. I blacked out and Raphael... helped me... I will explain more in the cart but we have to go now. I will go get out stuff." She said softly.
Keona grumpily rode along with the cart. She stopped off briefly to tell the guards in the first two towns that the missing person situation had been dealt with. She returned her horse while Iridessa went into the inn and then she headed to the inn, awkwardly waiting by the door. Lenandel was sitting in a chair with a plate of cold, untouched food in front of him when Iridessa came in. His eyes widened when she came to him. "Iridessa," he said, pulling himself to his feet with the crutches. "I was so worried about you, baby girl," he told her. He nodded when she said that they had to go. "Okay. I trust you, princess, go get our stuff," he said. When she left, he hobbled his way over to his sister. Keona was frowning. "I'm going to take Pete back his cart. Sounds like you're riding along with Iri in hers," she said, and Lenandel raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?" he asked, and she shrugged. "I think so. We'll wait until she gets back," she replied.
Iridessa gathered their things and hurried off. She walked pass K like she wasn't even there and looked back at Lenny then back at the cart. She placed their stuff in Pete's cart and went back to Lenny. "Ready?" She asked him.
Keona and Lenandel exchanged a look and Lenandel carefully made his way over to Iridessa. "Can you tell me what exactly the plan is, here...?" he asked her slowly, a bit uncertain. He wasn't sure where they were going, or who would be driving, or whether Keona was coming along. He just wasn't sure.
Iridessa looked up at him, "first we go home.. after that... I'm uncertain. We can all take one cart. Two is just stupid. Tyrell isn't here so we have room. I am sure K can drive the cart... Since she is great at driving things away and if I watch I'm sure we can switch places. Once we get home I don't know what is going to happen. I... killed close to twenty people last night and I don't remember doing so. Apparently something is going to happen and I may be sent off... I don't know..." She said softly. Iridessa leaned in, "he says someone can be brought over to help me but I feel like he isn't telling me something." She whispered.
Lenandel frowned as he listened to her. He nodded slightly. "Okay, baby girl," he said softly. He didn't like this one bit. He didn't know who this person was who thought they were helping her, and he especially didn't like that she'd apparently killed close to twenty people without realizing it. He waved Keona over and she helped him up into the cart, shooting Iridessa a quick glare before she headed around to the front and climbed up. Lenandel leaned against the side of the cart and set his crutches aside with a sigh. He just needed to hold Iridessa again, not be rushing off to get back on the road.
Raphael gathered his things and told the driver to go back before helping Iridessa in and climbing in himself. Iridessa kissed Lenny's forehead. I am going to sit upfront so I can watch K drive. I love you." She whispered be for climbing in next to K and sitting there quietly.
Lenandel frowned when Iridessa said she was going to sit up front but he nodded slightly. After she'd told him that she thought she may be sent away, he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could, but he also didn't want to keep her from doing what she wanted to do, and if that meant spending time watching Keona drive, he'd just have to deal with it. He eyed the new man suspiciously. "I used to have a word for men like me," he said slowly. "Whipped. And now look at me. I spend my time sitting around, letting her run off to do what she wants, and hoping that this won't be the day I lose her for good. I don't know who the hell you are or what you're doing here, but as long as you don't do anything to threaten my child or my relationship, we'll be fine. Got it?"
Iridessa didn't say a word to K. She didn't have anything to say. It was hard to think she ever loves this woman in the first place. Tyrell could do a hell of a lot better. Raphael listened and nodded, "I did what I did to save her and the baby. Too much energy consumption could kill her... and the baby. Though being with you two surely didn't help her much..." He sighed.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow when he heard the man's words. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, shaking his head slightly. "For starters, when you say you did what you did to save them, I don't know what you did. All she told me was that you saved her. If you did something more I'll wring your scrawny neck. And second, the fuck do you mean being with us isn't helping her? She's happy. Obviously she's not happy about my sister being around - they've got some history and bad blood between them, if she didn't tell you - but once we get home and get settled, Keona will be back on the road and it'll just be me, Iri, and the baby. She'll be fine."
Raphael shook his head, "I have been following Iridessa this whole time. I have seen pretty much everything. All I did was knock her out so she would stop singing. She was draining everyone near who could hear her sing. Then I went to an apartment building that is owned by my company and had her stay there... till he got your sister's attention. This whole adventure has shown her what she could do, but it also hasn't helped her harrnest those gifts. Usually we ease them on in. When I say I have seen pretty much everything... I mean... everything unless it was behind closed doors, If I didn't see it then I heard it. Don't think I don't know how you forced her to have sex with you for over a month. Or how your sister can't seem to get her shit straight. She is pregnant with god knows whose child... she might not fucking show it, but she is a bomb ready to explode... that little killing spree was just the beginning of it. My job is to help her not become destructive, I have seen enough of my people die because their parents were too stupid to fucking raise them right. I admit I should have taken her sooner... I had more than enough opportunities." He sighed.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow curiously as he listened. His expression softened somewhat towards the end, despite what the man had said about following them and about knowing he'd forced Iridessa to sleep with him. If what he was saying was true...then that meant that this man was something similar to Iridessa. "Your people?" he asked, too curious now to argue with the man about whose baby Iridessa was carrying or anything like that. "You mean people with abilities like Iridessa's? Is that what you have? And you're going to help her learn to control it?" He had to admit, he was all for the idea of Iridessa learning to control her abilities. He wasn't interested in her being taken away, though. "So you can, what, come to our place to work with her and help her learn?"
He nodded his head, "We are alike, though our abilities are different. I will not be the one teaching her. Depending on who is waiting at her home when we return will determine if I will have someone from the company come over or if she will be taken back to our academy. I have another case to attend to, but I will be back once the baby is born and so forth through out the kids life. I have dismissed a lot of her kills to be defensive, but this past ones... I can't..." He said softly and almost apologetically. "Depending on the level she learns and how far off the path she is means she could be gone for a year... if not more... and that is with the child." Iridessa was getting bored just watching her drive so she tried to listen in on their conversation, but couldn't hear shit. She sighed and looked around, wondering if Tyrell was okay.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow as he listened. "You can't expect me to actually agree to miss her pregnancy, and the birth of our child, and the beginning of our child's life," he scoffed, shaking his head. "You will do everything in your power to have her taught at home. I want to trust you on this - I want her to learn to control her abilities, and if the timing was better I'd say she's welcome to go to your academy if she wishes, but the timing is not good. Not with a baby on the way. I won't be kept from my child," he said with a firm shake of his head. He had no desire whatsoever to miss out on anything. "Iridessa is a smart girl. If she's willing to listen and cooperate, she should have no problem learning. It's just her temper you'll need to watch out for. Maybe she and I should take some anger management courses together," he mused with a slight smirk to himself.
Raphael frowned, "It will be out of my hands if they decide to take her. And it won't matter if you agree or not... if she is too much of a threat they will take her regardless of your feelings, but I will try my best to see she stays home and with you. Though... the baby might not even be yours." He said softly and looked over to where the girls were. He sensed the small energy coming from K, but said nothing, and wondered if Iridessa felt it too. Raphael frowned, "You two do have anger problems, but it isn't like your sister makes it easy on her or that other guy... Tyrell? I think that is his name..." He sighed. Iridessa looked back in the cart, "You know you two can talk louder right? It is boring as fuck up here and I can't heart shit you two are saying." She said and Raphael pressed his lips together to try and stop from smiling.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow slightly. "Who is this 'they' that you answer to?" he asked with a shake of his head. "And we've already decided it doesn't matter if the baby is mine or not. As far as we're concerned, blood or not, the baby is mine and I'll be its father." He frowned a bit when the man mentioned Tyrell and he shook his head. "Tyrell promised my sister everything she's ever wanted and then took it away, and now I have to deal with a shell of what used to be my baby sister. I have nothing more to say to or about him," he said. He glanced up when Iridessa called in to them and he couldn't help but to smirk a bit. "Then come sit with me, baby girl. I was left sitting at that inn for a couple hours thinking you'd been kidnapped and I haven't had anything more than a couple of quick kisses here and there since you returned," he called in response.
Raphael adjusted in his spot, "A group of people like me and Iridessa who strive to keep peace with us kind and others. Many, like hundreds, of years ago it was founded since... there were many deaths on both sides of a war. If we don't try and help those of us who have been abandoned or just not taught... then we could all be in danger." He said and shrugged about his sister. "I only caught what was going on while Iridessa was around." He said and shrugged. Iridessa glared at him, "No.. I have to learn to drive this thing. So talk louder or come closer." She said and turned back around before glancing at K. She hated the way the sun made her glow or the fact that she was itching to touch her tan skin again. Maybe all this was just physical attraction, but that didn't explain how she loved when she talked about things or showed her how to do stuff. Iridessa huffed and inched away from K. K wasn't her problem anymore, whatever happened to her and Tyrell was for the best and Tyrell could go on to better women.
Lenandel sighed. "Excuse me a moment," he said, carefully pulling himself to his feet and grabbing his crutches. He made his way up to the front of the cart and leaned forward. "Keona, pass me the reins real quick?" he asked. His sister raised an eyebrow but nodded and handed them over. "Okay, baby girl, watch. You hold them like this," he said, showing Iridessa. "If the horses pull to the right, you pull gently - like, barely pull - on this side to even them out. If they pull to the left, pull on the other side. If you need to stop, pull on both sides. Now you know how to drive a cart," he said, handing the reins back to Keona and beginning to head back to where he'd been sitting with the new man.
Iridessa watched and then huffed when he went back in. "Guess you get to be alone, once again." She hissed at K before going back into the cart and sitting next to Lenny. Iridessa didn't say anything though. Raphael thought about something, "Did you know it was illegal for our kind to have children with anyone that wasn't our own and if they did they were sent away to be slaves for other people. Tragic... but this was before the great war... so... it hasn't been around for a long time." He said with a smile and Iridessa blinked. "Well... okay then." She said softly. "Even awkward with conversation." She laughed after a bit.
Lenandel was relieved that Iridessa came to sit with him and he slid an arm around her, wanting her close to him. His other hand reached over to rest gently on her stomach. "Well, luckily that's not a thing any more," he said. He gazed down at Iridessa. He hated that even when he had her back, there was still an obstacle between them and their happiness. He'd been so looking forward to her return, but now this man was here and there was another hurdle in front of them. He didn't want to lose her to this academy, not with the baby on the way.
[TIME SKP TO DAH FUTURE] It had been a month and a half and Iridessa could see her house from where they were. She wanted to cry. It had been a long ass journey and it was due time for her to be back. Her bump had grown a bit bigger and it was clear that she was pregnant. Hiding it would be a bit difficult unless she wore baggy clothes. Iridessa hadn't talked to K the rest of the way back unless it was to switch spots. Raphael got more information on who was going to be waiting and he didn't like the outcome of how things will go. "Now... like I said... there might be a high chance she has to leave." He said softly.
Lenandel was relieved that the trip home passed so uneventfully. He was happy to have Iridessa back, to be holding her and kissing her and making love to her at night, but he was dreading getting home. They were almost there now and when Raphael spoke up about the possibility of Iridessa having to leave, Lenandel shook his head. "And like I said, that's not an option at this point in time," he replied. "Not unless they plan on taking me along with her so I can be there for her and the baby. They can have someone come to us." He was getting worried about his sister. She still wasn't recovering after losing Tyrell and he was afraid of watching her spiral. He was starting to wish Iridessa wasn't pregnant. If they hadn't been expecting a baby, he'd have been fine with her going away to learn to control her abilities if that was what she'd wanted. He would have had time to focus on taking care of his little sister, and by the time Iridessa got back, they would have been ready to really start their lives together. The baby had come first, though, and Lenandel refused to be separated from it - and if Iridessa and Keona couldn't stand to be around one another, that also meant he couldn't help his sister, so instead he was watching helplessly as she left in the night, drank her sorrows away, and occupied herself with whichever man or woman caught her eye that particular evening. Lenandel hated it. He just wanted all the happiness in the world for her.
It had gone okayish until towards the end of the trip when she could feel Lenny regretting and she moved away from him more and more. Raphael could feel the shift of energy and when they had stopped just outside of the city he helped Iridessa out first and leaned in, "Go home..." He whispered and she nodded. Iridessa started to walk home. She needed to get away from him for a while and she had been talking with Raphael about it. He stopped Lenny and smiled, "She needs to be alone right now... I don't need her being too emotional when she gets home." He said and leaned in, "You know... you have regret written all over your face, right?" He asked and shook his head. "I am going to catch up with her." He said and jogged off to walk with her.
Lenandel sighed as he watched Iridessa go. He climbed out carefully, knowing there was nothing he could do to stop her. He knew she wanted to be with him, knew she wanted him in the life of his child, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he wasn't going to see her again and it was breaking his heart. He frowned when Raphael spoke. "Take care of her for me," he said. He moved around to the front of the cart, having become quite adept with his crutches over the last month and a half, where he found Keona keeled over at the side of the road, having just thrown up. He sighed and made his way over to her. "You have a problem, Keona," he told her, and she stood upright, shaking her head. "My problem is men," she muttered. "Not you, though. You're cool," she said before she started to walk back to the cart to get their stuff.
Iridessa was laughing when a bunch of guards ran past them and surrounded Lenny and K. "Lenandal and Keona Tumaine, you are under arrest for the kidnapping of Iridessa Beaumont."said the head guard. Iridessa ran after them and looked at them in horror. "What the fuck you mean kidnapping?! They saved me and this is how you fucking treat them?" She yelled. "Why would they bring be back if they kidnapped me?!" She asked. They looked around in horror, "Were... they not the ones who kidnapped you that night?" He asked. She shook her head no, "No... they are not... those people are dead and gone, thanks to them. Don't touch her!" She yelled at the guard. He backed away and they all bowed. "We are sorry, Iridessa... please forgive us... the whole city has been worrying. Your father said you had been doing some tour, but there was a rumor you were actually kidnapped and your mother has been so sick with worry." He said. "There are a couple of people waiting for you at your home... should we send word to set up accommodations for them?" He asked. She mentally sighed with relief. "If they see fit. I don't know if Keona will be staying with us... as for him... set him up in my room." She said before turning and walking off. The guards looked at each other and than Lenny. They did was were told before bowing. "Is there anyway we can help you two?" The head guard asked.
Lenandel was about to panic when the guards surrounded them but then Iridessa came and stopped them and he breathed a sigh of relief. He let the guards lead him and Keona to where they'd be staying - him in Iridessa's room, and Keona in a guest room not far away. He sighed when the head guard asked if there was anything they could do for them. "Unless you can keep an eye on my sister and keep her away from the booze, then I think we're good," he said, sounding a little disheartened. "And keep an eye on Iridessa. I'm worried about her."
The guard looked at his sister and then hurried in the room and took out the booze before running out. The guard looked at him a little suspiciously, "Will do." He said and walked away. Iridessa walked into the meeting room, proudly, and like she owned the place. "Father." She said and tensed when he came running over and hugged her. He began to cry, "Jesus, Iridessa... you have no idea how worried we were." He said and looked her over before stopping on her stomach. "You are..." He couldn't finish. Her mother came over and hugged her too and then rubbed on her bump. "It is barely showing but it is the cutest." She swooned, but there was a sadness to her eyes. She went over everything with her father and mother. About the rape and that she didn't know if her baby was for him or for Lenny, but that he was going to still accept it as his if it wasn't... she thought. Her father asked her to explain and she did. She also explained the deal with him and he waved a dismissive hand. "If that is what you want, then fine... but you don't have to be mayor." He said softly but she said she didn't trust her people's lives in anyone else's hands. They talked a bit more and she got the land she wanted before they walked out and she talked to the people waiting for her. Her father walked to Iridessa's room and knocked before going in. "So... you are Lenandel..." He said and looked him over. "My daughter grows concerned that you are regretting her pregnancy... I rather her be with someone who wouldn't regret this... so I will set her up with someone more... suitable for her. I will pay you a great coin for your heroic act, but I would like you to stop seeing my daughter." He said firmly.
Lenandel was sitting in a chair by the window when Iridessa's father came in. He raised an eyebrow, standing up with his crutches and turning to face her father. "I don't regret anything," he said in a firm voice. "I appreciate that you want the best for her, but I do as well. I've been through a lot for her and for this baby, if you hadn't noticed," he said, lifting his broken leg slightly. "Her concerns are unfounded. I want her, and I want the baby that we've agreed to raise together. Iridessa makes me want to be a better man..." He paused slightly, a smile coming to his face. "I'm in love with your daughter, Mayor Beaumont, whether you like that or not. I assure you that there could be nobody better for her - you will never have to worry about whether your daughter is being protected, treasured, and provided for."
He looked at him and shook his head, his jaw tightening. "Fine... but she will be staying in another room until you can move normally and can tend to that farm. Meanwhile, you two can come up with blueprints for the house on the land that you two bought... or well she did. Then when that is done and you are healed you can move into that house and she stays here. It is bad enough she is pregnant in such a short time, but I refuse to let her marry you... not until I know who exactly you are. Your last names are familiar... but not in a good way. Now rest..." He said before leaving the room. Iridessa did some tests and they agreed to have someone come and help her at home. She ran out and went to Keora's room. "I get to stay! Shit.. wrong room." She said and blinked before turning, confused. "Did... they move my fucking room?" She whispered.
Lenandel struggled to keep his composure when Iridessa's father agreed that he could stay with her. His eyes wanted to bug out of his head and he wanted to jump for joy but instead he simply gave a nod. "Thank you. I'll respect your wishes on all those counts," he told the mayor before he left. Once Iridessa's father was gone he grinned and went to lie down. Keona was sitting on the bed brushing out her tangled hair when Iridessa walked in. She raised an eyebrow slightly. "I don't fucking know, Lenandel's that way," she said, jerking a thumb in the direction of Lenandel's room. "He made the guards remove all the alcohol from this room and I think there's someone watching the door. Tell him to chill if you see him."
Iridessa blinked, "What? Well... I mean... what? Why? Well I know why, but... you are your own per-" She stopped talking and she felt that energy in K had grown. "Maybe it is for the best. I will send some food up." She said and walked to the door, but stopped. Iridessa looked back at her and frowned a bit before walking over back to K and kissed her. "I am sorry." She whispered. "But it hurts pretending to hate you."
Keona sighed and shook her head a bit when Iridessa spoke. "Because I guess he thinks I'm turning into an alcoholic or something," she said softly. She frowned a bit when Iridessa commented that it might be for the best. "I doubt it. Alcohol is better than the sadness." She looked away as Iridessa started to leave, but when Iridessa came back and kissed her she was startled. She kissed back before Iridessa pulled back, closing her eyes slightly. "It does," she agreed in a soft voice. "I don't hate you...I hope you know that. I don't blame you for any of what's happened, no matter how much I want to."
Iridessa cupped her face gently, looking into her eyes. "I can't pretend like I don't love you. Like when we are near I don't want to touch you. I love your brother so much, but I loved you first and this is killing me." She cried. "I wanted you to be happy with Tyrell... I did... but I didn't think you two would rip out my heart like that. And I hate seeing you drunk and knowing you are off fucking god knows who.. K.." She moved away and wiped her tears away when she heard the knocking. "Come in." She said softly and a guard came in with food. "Your mother said that she needed food and some tea. The girl..." He coughed and looked away. "Looked like she hadn't eaten in a good while and she needed it for her strength." He said and bowed before walking out and closing the door. "Well... my mother has now adopted you. Good luck." She said softly and turned before walking to the door.
Keona couldn't help but to smile as Iridessa gazed into her eyes and she lifted one hand, resting it on top of Iridessa's hand at her cheek. "I'm sorry," she started to say, but before she could continue, there came a knock and Iridessa moved away. Keona raised an eyebrow in surprise when the guard delivered the food and she looked up at Iridessa when she commented that her mother had adopted her. "That's not a bad thing, is it...? Iri?" she asked, a bit nervous now that Iridessa had wished her luck. She'd heard only good things about Iridessa's mother.
Iridessa looked back at her, "Eh.." She smiled. "She will love on you like she birthed you from her own womb. She will make you eat... and she might go out and about with you. She was in a tribe of elves before marrying my father. So she has a wild heart... so..." She shrugged. "Are... are you going to be leaving again? I can just get someone else to return the cart to Pete." She said softly.
Keona smiled a bit when Iridessa talked about her mother. That all sounded appealing. She shrugged when Iridessa asked if she intended to leave again. "I was going to, since we're supposed to be hating one another and all that, but now I'm not so sure. I could take it back, though. It's only a couple days away. Maybe I'll get drunk and marry Pete. He could definitely provide for me," she said with a shrug, and then she blinked her brown eyes in surprise. "Oh, god. Lenandel's right, I'm an alcoholic," she said, shuddering at the thought of being with Pete.
Iridessa's face scrunched up and she looked like she was going to puke. "Oh... you... you have hit rock bott-" She ran off to her bathroom and slammed the door as she began puking. Once it was done she sat on the floor and curse. "I thought I was over this shit!" She yelled. The guards outside of her room looked at each other and wondered what was going on but shrugged it off. "Have a baby... babies are great... all you gotta do is puke all the time, get fat, and possibly ruin your vagina and body. No biggie." She said after she opened the door and crawled out before sitting by the bed.
Keona blinked in surprise when Iridessa ran off to the bathroom to throw up. When she came back, Keona couldn't help but to smirk. "I feel the same way thinking about Pete," she mused before Iridessa started ranting about babies. When Iridessa sat on the bed, Keona wrapped a comforting arm around her. "You're lucky. Lots of people want babies but can't have them..." She paused slightly before leaning in a little closer. "And I'm pretty sure you started in on ruining your vagina back when you first agreed to sleep with my brother," she whispered in a teasing tone.
Iridessa leaned in a bit. "I know... but I can still complain about the puking and getting fat." She puffed her cheeks before they turned red when K said she had already started to ruin it when she slept with her brother. "You shhh, oh my god." She said and laughed. "You so bad... learn to be good, dammit woman." She smiled. Iridessa wanted to tell her what she was felling from her, but she didn't want to upset her so she kept her mouth shut on that. She gently took her hand and kissed it softly.
Keona smiled, rolling her eyes a little bit. "Babies don't make you fat," she replied. "Not taking care of yourself when you have a baby makes you fat. This -" she reached down and put a hand on Iridessa's round stomach "- is literally just the space being occupied by the baby. It stretches a bit. Then you have the baby and as long as you take care of yourself, it un-stretches." She giggled a bit when Iridessa told her how bad she was and kissed her hand and she shifted to rest her head on top of Iridessa's. "I've missed this," she said softly. "Are we good now? I'm really tired of losing people. Even Lenandel...I've been losing him to you and the baby. I've been so scared of getting home because getting home would mean you two getting your farm together and me having to part ways with him and go do my own thing..."
Iridessa listened, she had no idea how amazing she sounded when he explained these things. She made her feel... less like a fat big and more of a woman. When she placed her hand on her belly though... it sent shivers down her spine. "I have missed this too..." She said softly. "I hope it means we are good." Iridessa was tired of fighting with K. She just wanted K to love her, even if it was pretend. She fought back tears and moved so that the were facing each other. "I wanted you to stay... to be part of the farm. I literally told Lenny that it should be called Tumaine Farms... because you know TWO MAIN farms... ugh the joke still gets me." She laughed. "I really wanted to have a farm with you, K... everything we said those months ago... I wanted that. You... didn't even give me a choice to choose." She said softly and looked down. Iridessa shook her head. "I will let you get to eating, you need it. You look like a pile of bones." She joked and got up. "If you are going to leave I would like you at least rested." She smiled.
Keona smiled when Iridessa told her that she hoped they were good and that she wanted Keona to be part of the farm. She giggled a bit when she heard Iridessa's joke. "Tumaine...two main...I get it," she said with a shake of her head. "If you want that, then I want it too. But first I want to take some time for myself. You and Lenandel need to work on your relationship first and foremost. I need to work on me..." She paused slightly. "I need to not be such an alcoholic I start thinking that marrying Pete is an option," she said with a smirk, nodding when Iridessa said for her to eat. "Okay. I'll eat. I'll see you around," she said softly, going to the food.
Iridessa nodded and walked out before going to her room. "So... I get to stay and they will be sending someone to come and teach me." She said and smiled before going into her bathroom and brushing her mouth before going back out. "How is everything? I know my father came talk to you. He hugged me and cried... so maybe I don't know what he would do." She sighed and sat across from him.
Lenandel looked up when Iridessa came in and a grin came to his face when he heard her words. "Oh, god, you have no idea how much of a relief that is," he told her with a shake of his head. He waited until she came back out and he smiled over at her. "It went surprisingly well. I thought it was going to end in a fight when he came in and wanted to pay me off to leave you and let him set you up with someone he deemed suitable, but I assured him that I'm all in and that there's nobody better for you than me and he agreed. He said we should start working on the blueprints for our farm," he said, reaching across to take her hand.
Iridessa smiled when he began talking. She listened though she knew exactly why he wanted her to be with someone else. It was all over his face coming back. He knew he regretted this and she patted his hand before moving her hand. "So I talked to K when I accidentally walked into the wrong room. She is going to be taking some time to herself... I don't know when she will be back, but I thought you should know. Right now she is eating because my mom is making her. Also my mom adopted her.. so... that is a thing." She laughed.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow slightly when she said that she'd talked to Keona. "You two are talking now...?" he asked slowly, clearly pleased with this development. He wasn't too pleased about Keona taking some time to herself, though. "Does this mean she's going off on her own so she can have a drinking binge without us judging her?" he asked, clearly concerned.
Iridessa thought about it as she crossed her arms, "Yeah... I guess..." She said and shook her head before laughing then covering her mouth when she thought about it. "No... I think it is to sober her up. She had said she should just marry Pete since he would provide for her." She said and then slowly got up and walked out and into K's room. "Please don't fucking marry Pete. I will break up with Lenny and kill Pete if you do." She said and glared at her.
Lenandel blinked in surprise when he heard Iridessa's words and his jaw fell open slightly. "She is not marrying Pete," he said quickly, but that did make sense as to why Keona would want to sober up. If she'd suggested something as un-Keona-like as marrying Pete, she was really done for. Keona looked up when Iridessa came in and she blinked in surprise, swallowing the mouthful of food she was working on. "Uhh...believe me, I'm not marrying Pete," she said with a slight smirk. "I've spent years rejecting his slimy ass. Not happening. Nope. No way. Think you can get them to bring me more food? I didn't realize how fucking starving I was."
Iridessa sighed happily, "Good... and more food... got it." She laughed before walking out and told the guards to get two trays of food and send it to K. She went back to Lenny and sat back in he seat, but didn't put her hands on the table. "So I went make sure she wasn't going to marry him and apparently she is starving." She said and looked away and then down at her hands. "I... I think... she is pregnant, but you can't say shit. She needs to find out herself. I can feel this small energy inside of her... and she is starving and she pukes more than a drunkard does." She said softly.
Lenandel chuckled a bit when Iridessa said that she'd made sure Keona wasn't going to marry Pete and that she was starving. He didn't get a chance to comment on it, though, before Iridessa commented that she thought Keona was pregnant. His brown eyes widened with surprise. "Fuck," he breathed, shaking his head. Now that she'd mentioned it, it made a lot of sense. "It wouldn't surprise me if she is, with how she's been carrying on lately," he said with a shake of his head. "All these different guys every night...at least when you got pregnant there were only two options, and one being dead meant that I became the only real option. But Keona...if she's pregnant it could be almost anyone between here and Jerrical."
Iridessa was going to be sick again, "We gotta stop doing this fucking guessing game of who the damn baby daddy is." She said and rubbed her belly softly. "She is gonna be so happy and pissed at the same time. Well at least she got her baby..." She said and looked away. This tripped had fucked both of them and they both came out pregnant. Though Lenny said he was wanting to be the father, that regret she saw was weighing heavy on her. Iridessa nervously bit her lip. "Are you hungry?" She asked him.
Lenandel nodded quickly. "Of course. I'm the baby's daddy. That's all that matters," he told her reassuringly. He nodded again when she commented that at least Keona got her baby. "Yeah...I just hope she hasn't half-killed the damn thing by now from all the drinking she's been doing," he said with a shake of his head. When she asked if he was hungry he nodded. "A bit, yeah," he said.
She ignored him when he said he was the baby's daddy and got up. "Okay... I will go get food." She said with a smile and walked out of the room to go get food. When she came back she told the guard to give it to him and tell him she went for a walk. They nodded and did what she told them. Iridessa walked out of her home and went down to the farmlands. The guard went in and set his food down in front of him. "Iridessa said she was going for a walk." He said. "Anything else I can do for you, sir?" He asked.
Lenandel wasn't sure why Iridessa was acting this way. She felt distant and he wasn't sure why. Was it just something to do with being back in her old home? Or had he done something wrong that he didn't know about. He wasn't sure, but it was disheartening. When the guard brought in his food he raised an eyebrow, frowning when the guard asked if there was anything else he could do for him. "Yeah, make sure someone keeps an eye on her. Every time she goes for a walk she turns up missing and we have to go find her," he said with a shake of his head. He was probably gonna punch something if Iridessa didn't come back yet again.
A few hours later Iridessa came back and looked at Lenny. "Hey, how was the food?" She asked and looked around her room for something before going into her closet and ran her hand over her old dresses. Some of them she knew she could still fit in. She grabbed one and laid it out on the bed. It was an everyday wear dress. "Hope you weren't too bored." She said without looking at him.
Lenandel smiled when Iridessa came back, gazing towards her. "It was good," he replied. "I wasn't too bored. Worried, yes, and missing you, but I wasn't bored. Keona left while you were gone. I'm not sure where she went, but she couldn't have gone far because all her stuff is still in the other room. I checked after I heard her leave, because I was concerned that she'd just up and left without saying goodbye. So wherever she is, she'll probably be back," he said, hopeful that it would be the case.
Iridessa listened, "Good, bitch better not leave without saying goodbye to me." She said and laughed softly before going to the bathroom and started to shower. "I will be back in a bit." She said and closed the door to the shower and went into the shower and silently cried as she let the hot water hit her. She didn't want him here if he had regrets. She didn't need him. She could do this on her own, plus her mother and father would help.
Lenandel chuckled a bit when he heard her words and he nodded. "Sounds good," he told her. He'd give anything to be able to get up and go sneak in to join her in the shower, but he had to be careful and hopping in the shower to do his girlfriend was a bad idea. So he waited, sitting by the window and gazing out at Iridessa's city. It really was a nice place. He'd spent a great deal of time here since it was in such a central location, close to all his primary contacts, and big enough for criminals to run rampant as long as they were careful. He'd never expected to find himself in love with the Mayor's daughter, settling down on a farm and raising a baby with her.
She came back out in a towel and watched him looking out to the city. She loved the view from her window because she could see the ocean and some of the farmland. He looked so handsome and her heart began to ache. How could she tell him that she didn't want him when he had regrets? He was so persistent on having her and the baby, but.. who was he really trying to convince? "I don't think this is going.... is going to... work." She said softly.
Lenandel heard her come out and smiled a bit, hoping that once she got changed she would come to sit with him. When he heard her words, though, he froze. His mouth fell open slightly and he slowly turned to face her. "Don't think what is going to work, baby girl...?" he asked slowly, a bit apprehensive about what she meant.
Iridessa looked down and played with the towel that was wrapped around her. "Us... I... I refuse to stay with you. For the second half of the trip all I saw on your face was regret and don't fucking tell me you don't have any." She said, looking up at him. She looked hurt and angry and she was crying. "I can raise this baby without you. So go... leave with K. She needs you more than I do."
q
Lenandel's eyes widened. He grabbed his crutches and pulled himself to his feet, turning to face her. "So after all this," he asked slowly, "you don't want me after all? I managed to convince your father to let us stay together. How many times do I have to tell you that I want to be with you and that I want to be involved with the baby?" He took a few steps towards her. He could feel his heart breaking. "I don't know what you think you saw on my face, but I don't regret what's happened any more than you do. I was dreading getting back here, yes, because I'm scared at hell of Raphael taking you away and me losing both you and the baby...but apparently that was always going to happen, wasn't it?" he asked with a shake of his head.
She backed up and pressed against the wall. "That is... I never said I didn't want you." She said. "I don't want to be with you when I saw your face like it was when you thought I was asleep. I saw your damn face, Lenny.. You cannot say you regret me getting pregnant. I didn't ask for this." She said. "Anymore than you did. You keep saying you are going to be the father so damn much but who are you trying to convince? Yourself? I didn't have to tell you, but you were the only I could... I wanted to tell. You don't think my heart broke when I saw your face? EVERY DAMN NIGHT with that stupid face full of regret. I know what it looks like. I have seen it countless times on people's faces." She said.
Lenandel stared at her, shaking his head. "I was worried, Iridessa. Worried about everything. Raphael said he may take you away to his academy, and that you'd be stuck there for a year or more - baby included. If the timing was better and you weren't pregnant at the time I'd have been happy with whatever choice you made, but you were pregnant and I couldn't stand the thought of not being there for the rest of your pregnany, or the birth, or the first year of our child's life. I'm excited to have a baby with you, Iri." He took another couple steps closer, gazing intently down at her. "Is this why you've been acting so weird lately? You think I regret this? Having you and having this baby is going to be the biggest joy of my life, not a regret. The only thing I regret is that I'll never be the man you deserve, or maybe that I wasn't a good man when we met, but you make me want to be good and I will never stop trying for you. If you don't want to be with me...I'll accept your decision, but you won't be keeping me from the child."
Iridessa listened, "I want to be with you, Lenny. I fought to get back to you when Raphael took me because I didn't want you to hate me. I just didn't want you to stay if you regretted your decision. You have a way out of this if you want it." She said and looked down, she couldn't look him in the eye. "I love you..." Her voice was shaking. It killed her to see his face like that night after night.
Lenandel closed the space between them, propping himself up on his crutches so he could reach down and take her chin in his hand, forcing her to look up at him. "I want to be with you. I don't need a way out because I don't want one. As long as you're willing to be with me, you're going to be stuck with me, and if you do decide you don't want me any more, you're still stuck parenting with me." His eyes were dark and intense and there was a slight growl to his voice. It was clear that he was somewhat hurt that instead of talking to him about this, she'd just automatically jumped to telling him she didn't think it would work between them.
Iridessa clung to her towel as he forced her to look at him. He was so damn tall, even on crunches. "I am sorry... I just... I saw your face... and I was heartbroken. I didn't need you pretending to be with me just like K... I couldn't take it if it was from you too." She said. Iridessa stopped talking and looked away. She knew he was hurt and she didn't want him to. She mentally sighed and knew he was going to just get pissed at her if she kept it up.
Lenandel let go of her chin when she apologized, but she only looked away again and he held back a sigh. "Your father offered me a lot of money to leave," he told her slowly. "Like I said - he wanted to pay me off and set you up with someone more suitable. I told him no. I told him that there was nobody better for you than me. I told him that he'll never have to wonder if you're being protected, or treasured, or provided for. He had some other terms for me and I agreed to them, because the important thing was that I'd have you. That we'd be together...I know you're pregnant and feeling emotional, but I need you to trust me when I say that you're my everything, and I love you, and I want to be with you and have this baby."
Iridessa blinked and looked at him, "what are the other terms?" She asked. Her father hadn't talk to her about any of this and she needed to know if they were bogus shit.
Lenandel smiled a bit. "He said that he wants you staying in a separate room until I'm healed up and can tend to the farm - and like I said, we're to work on the blueprints until then. Then he wants me to move into the house and you to stay here, which I figured you'd be perfectly capable of refuting yourself, and he doesn't want us to marry until he knows me better." He paused, glancing away with a sigh. "He knows my name, but the context isn't good. I told him that you make me want to be a better man, though, because you do, baby girl. I'm going to prove to him that I'll be better, and obviously I'll never be worthy of marrying someone like you but if he sees me trying, I hope that will eventually be enough."
Iridessa glared, "Why? I am already pregnant." She was going to have to go talk to her father once she dressed, but this was his home and she had to obey that. Maybe if her mom will talk with her. She blushed when he talked about marriage and she shook her head, "The thought of marriage never even really crossed my mind. Or maybe it has and I have just forgotten... you are more than worthy of marrying a girl who has killed many people." She smiled. She sighed and kissed his upper stomach. "Anyway... I need to get dressed so I can go talk to my father... do you mind, Mr. Crip?" She asked softly.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow in surprise when she said that the idea of marriage hadn't even crossed her mind. "It hasn't?" he asked her. "It's crossed mine. There've been several nights I've actually dreamt about it," he told her with a smile. He chuckled a bit when she kissed his stomach and he moved to sit down on the bed, setting aside his crutches and outstretching his arms for her. "Let me say hello to the baby first," he told her.
Iridessa blushed a bit, "well... with everything going on... I guess I just didn't have time to." She said softly and watched him go sit down and then outstretched his arms. Iridessa laughed softly and walked up to him, towel still wrapped around her. "You going to try steal our baby from me, I got you. You wanna carry it the rest of the way?" She asked with a small smile,
Lenandel laughed a bit as she came over to him. "Well, I had plenty of time to think about things while I was sitting around having a broken leg and all that," he told her. He smiled, reaching up and parting her towel so that her little baby bump was exposed, resting one hand gently on it and leaning down to softly kiss her stomach. "Hey there, little baby," he murmured, keeping his face close to it. "It's daddy. I just wanted to tell you I love you, and to remind you that I'm always gonna be here for you," he continued.
Iridessa smiled and gently ran her fingers through his hair as he kissed and talked to the bump. She loved the way he paid so much attention to her bump and how he talked to the baby. He was such a great man and he didn't even think so. She leaned down and kissed his head softly. "I think the baby said I love you too." She laughed. "Now let me get dressed, you baby stealer." She said and playfully glared at him.
Lenandel smiled up at her when she leaned down and kissed his head, laughing a bit. "I sure hope it loves me too. Wouldn't that be awful? If the baby was born and it hated me? I don't think I could survive that," he said with a shake of his head, leaning back to give her her space. "And how can you steal a baby when it's your own baby? You're being silly," he said.
Iridessa huffed, "your face is silly." She said and smiled before dropping the towel and being just out of his reach, "huh deja vu." She smirked before slipping the dress on her. "I will see you later babe." She said softly and kissed him softly. Her hand slipped down and teased his member through his pants. "Mmm maybe you can think of me while I am gone." She whispered with a smirk.
Lenandel smirked a bit when she dropped the towel and he shook his head. "You're such a little tease," he said. "That dress looks beautiful on you," he added when she was dressed, kissing her back when she kissed him. A slight smirk came to his lips when she reached down to tease his member. "I'll be thinking of you when you're gone, that's for sure," he murmured.
Iridessa laughed softly and kissed him once more, "Mmm maybe I can just stay a little... no... if I don't leave now I won't ever." She sighed and kissed him once again before walking out. She went to her father and dragged her mother along. She told him she was already knocked up and it isn't like that could happen, plus she felt safe when she was sleeping with him. That thanks to things that happened during the trip she couldn't sleep well without him. He thought about it and agreed to let him sleep in her room, if she would come up with ideas for a charity even. She agreed happily and hugged him, crying happy tears. He smiled and shooed her off. She walked out and stopped to look out the window. the sun was hitting the water and she wondered where K went. Iridessa sure hoped she wasn't drinking.
Lenandel kissed her back again before she left, and then he sat back to wait. While she was with her parent, Keona returned. Lenandel was surprised to see her smiling and not drunk, but relieved. She came into the room and sat right down beside him on the bed, grinning. "Hey," she said, and he smiled. "Hey," he replied. "You're unusually chipper." Keona shrugged slightly, smiling. "I stopped in to visit Jack and Daisy for a bit. Had some tea, told them all about our little adventure - Jack's looking forward to visiting your cute little farm," she told him in a teasing tone, and he laughed softly. "Well, they're always welcome," he told her, glad that she'd found something positive to do with her time instead of drinking. Iridessa's suspicions were weighing heavily on his mind but she'd said not to say anything, so he wouldn't.
Iridessa smiled and hurried off to her room. "Babe! We get to stay in the same room! Ugh everything is working out, we are together, K is pregnant, we have a farm, going to have a baby and right now all I want to do is... oh hey, K." She said softly. "You look super happy. Did you go beat up a granny? Please don't beat up my grannies, K." She smiled.
Keona looked up when Iridessa came in. She was about to grin when she heard Iridessa's word and the smile immediately faded from her face. She stared at Iridessa for a second and then slowly stood up. "I didn't beat up any grannies. What the hell do you mean, I'm pregnant?" she asked, taking a few steps closer. Lenandel reached out and grabbed his sister by the wrist, pulling her back towards him. "Keona..." he started.
Iridessa blinked, "I said no such thing. How the fuck would I know if you are pregnant? I am no witch doctor." She said and walked to a safe spot. "So... how was your not beating up grannies? Did you take a walk? Love on a chicken? I don't know... what did you do?" She asked and smiled softly.
Keona frowned, looking from Iridessa to Lenandel. "She thinks I'm pregnant," she said. "Did you know anything about this?" Lenandel frowned slightly, shaking his head. "We haven't talked about anything but our plans," he replied. "Like she said, we've got a farm and apparently now her father's agreed to let us share a room until we've got our farmhouse built." Keona looked briefly between them, as if trying to decide whether her brother was lying, and then looked back to Iridessa. "I went to visit some friends in town. We had tea and got caught up. Then I came back here and found out that apparently I'm pregnant. Were you planning on giving me a heads up that you thought I might be pregnant? I've been drinking myself to death over here and if I'm pregnant, that baby's probably half-dead already," she said.
Iridessa crept towards the bathroom and was halfway in when K started to talk to her. "Psh... you... you aren't pregnant... just a little fat." She said and slammed the door before locking it. "Okay so now that I am safe. I didn't think you would have believed me. You kinda been a bitch lately... but I feel this energy in you, growing. I don't think it is half way dead because the energy wouldn't be so strong. Plus... you know... I mean... you are going to be playing the guessing game with me. Who's the baby daddy?" She asked and laughed nervously. So..I am... uh... gonna let you two talk." She said and hurried out of the bathroom through a secret hidy hole before she kicked the door down.
Keona stared at the closed door when Iridessa started to explain to her and her jaw fell open slightly. She slowly turned to face her brother. "Do you...do you think...?" she asked slowly, and he shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. Don't look at me. I'm not good at these things. I had no clue Iridessa was pregnant until she told me. Didn't you and Ty figure it out on your own?" he asked, and Keona nodded. "Well, yeah...I mean, Ty did..." She glanced away and tears sprung to her eyes. "What if Ty's the dad?" she asked softly. "And now he hates me and he's gone..." Lenandel patted the spot beside him on the bed and Keona walked over, sitting down beside him. He turned his upper body and wrapped both arms around her, pulling her close and rubbing her back with one hand. "You don't even know anything for sure yet. In the morning one of us can take you to see a doctor to find out, and if you are, we'll figure it out. I promise. Iri and I are gonna be here for you," he told her softly.
Iridessa busted through the door of her room. "Sooo.... good news, I can still fit through my hidey hole. Bad news... my mom saw me. So now she knows about my hidey hole exit." She sighed before walking to a safe space. "Also yes to the being here for you part..." She said before sitting down in a chair. "I wanna be a dad so... this works out." She smiled.
Keona drew back from her hug with Lenandel when she heard Iridessa come in and she blinked in surprise, lifting a hand to wipe some tears from her eyes. She let out a sad laugh at Iridessa's comment. "That works, then. Fuck all those other guys. You can be the dad, Iri," she said softly, her brother still gently rubbing her back. "Well...at least our kids will be close in age so they'll always have someone to play with, right?" she said softly, and Lenandel chuckled a bit. "That's if you're even pregnant. Like I said, we'll go find out tomorrow," he told her before leaning over and kissing the top of her head. "Until then, though, no booze. Just in case." Keona sighed softly and nodded. "Fine, no booze," she said.
Iridessa swayed in her seat and smiled. "Yay... might be a daddy." She giggled and her mom peeked in. "Well... there is my old daughter. So, someone is in need of a doctor?" She asked. "I know one, she is great. Actually, I asked her to come over tomorrow morning so she can check on Iridessa and the baby. I rather know from someone I trust and she can look at you while she is here. She is actually the one who delivered Iridessa. Did you tell them about the time when you were two?" She asked and Iridessa shook her head. "No need... not like it happened again." She sighed. Her mother smiled and nodded, "Well me and your father are heading out to a business dinner. You three behave, okay?" She smiled and waved before walking out. "And that is my mother... who said she would have snatched Lenny up if she was young again." She glared. "She looks more like my sister than my damn mom." She sighed.
Lenandel chuckled a bit when Iridessa commented that she might be a daddy. He was glad that she and Keona were getting along again. He'd been sick of being stuck between the two most important women in his life. He looked up when Iridessa's mother peered in and he smirked a bit as he listened to the exchange between them. When she left and Iridessa spoke, he couldn't help but to laugh. "If I didn't have an amazing girlfriend I'd probably take her up on that offer, young again or not," he said with a smirk. "She seems nice. And that saves us a trip to the doctor's," he said.
Iridessa gasped, "I knew you were staring at my mother. Hmph, maybe you should have your own room. OR ha, better you can stay in K's room and she can stay with me. Mmm yeah... that sounds like a grand idea. What do you say, K?" She asked with a smile.
Lenandel blinked in surprise and was about to protest, but Keona laughed and spoke up before he could say anything. "That's a grand idea indeed," she said, giving her brother a smirk. Lenandel blinked again, slowly looking back and forth between them. "Did I miss something? Are you two more than just back to talking again...?" he asked slowly. He wasn't even sure he could be mad if they said yes, since he'd been longing for a month and a half now to see his sister happy again and if Iridessa was what it took to achieve that, he didn't really have much choice but to be okay with it.
Iridessa blinked, "Well... obviously I knocked K up.. I am gonna be a daddy and I have to be there for my baby, dammit Lenny." She huffed before smirking, but she shrugged when he asked if there was anything more. That was probably a no, but she was gonna make K make that decision. Iridessa stretched in her chair before closing her eyes and rubbing her belly.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow and then looked at Keona, who shrugged slightly. "We haven't done anything," she told him. "I wouldn't do that to you. That wouldn't be fair. Unless, of course, you wanted me to," she added with a smirk, and he raised an eyebrow. "Don't be silly, Keona. You can't even listen to Iri like you're supposed to. That means nothing's gonna happen," he told her with a devilish smirk, and Keona blinked in surprise. "I can totally listen!" she protested.
Iridessa shook her head, "She totally doesn't listen." She said with her eyes still closed and her rubbing her bump as she meditated. "Horrible listener." She said and began to sway as she hummed.
Keona promptly shook her head. "No. I can totally listen," she protested, and Lenandel smirked, looking over at Iridessa. "I don't know about you, baby girl, but it sounds like my sister's calling you a liar," he said. "I mean, now I don't know who to believe. Keona says she's great at listening to you, but you say she's a horrible listener," he continued with a shake of his head.
Iridessa glared at Lenny. Sometimes she wondered if he liked seeing her with K. She couldn't figure it out. She sighed and looked at K, "On your knees, K, and crawl to me." She said before glaring back at Lenny.
Keona blinked in surprise. She hadn't been expecting Iridessa to make her prove it. Lenandel must have been making some sort of face behind her hinting that she should do something. Keona looked at him briefly, seeing the smirk on his face, and then turned towards Iridessa. A bit hesitantly, she did as Iridessa asked, getting down on the floor and starting to crawl towards her.
Iridessa, "See... she hesitated after looking at both of us. Doesn't listen at all. Case closed." She sighed and looked down at K before leaning somewhat down. "I guess I can reward you SOMEWHAT since you actually did it." She said and kissed her forehead softly. "There."
Keona's face went red and after Iridessa leaned down and kissed her and she promptly stood back up, going and sitting on the bed, but not as close to her brother as before. Lenandel chuckled a bit. "See? You suck at listening," he told her with a smirk. "That's why I get Iri and you don't. You're welcome to help yourself once you can listen to her, if it's what she wants, but until then she's all mine."
Iridessa looked at her, "Who said you gonna get me too? Maybe I want my own damn self?" She smirked evilly. "You two can share a bed in the other room. I miss my own room and bed." She giggled and clapped. "It is whatever K wants by the way, when it comes to me and her." She said and looked over at K. "Since she likes making decisions." She smiled and stood. "I am going get a snack... or at least try to. Bitch ass cook talking about how it is her kitchen. Woman, please." she huffed and walked out.
Lenandel raised an eyebrow slightly, smirking. "You can keep avoiding me as long as you want, but this leg's gonna heal up and I'll have my way with you again," he said to her before she left. He then glanced at Keona, who promptly stood up. "I'm gonna go get to sleep," she said. "Goodnight," she told him, leaving quickly before he could say more than a brief goodnight. He sighed, lying down on his back on the bed, alone once again.
Iridessa came back in her room with snacks and blinked, "What are you doing here? Didn't I say you had to sleep with your sister? Shoo, get outta here. Or I can just go into K's room." She smiled and slowly backed out of the door.
Lenandel glanced up at her when she came in and he raised an eyebrow. "I'm comfortable. I'm staying right here," he told her with a shake of his head. In the other room, Keona was getting undressed to have a quick shower before bed.
She closed the door and walked into K's room, head down, and closed the door before looking up at K. "Oh.. shit.. sorry... fuck." She said and turned around. "I got snacks, but... I see you are busy." She said softly.
Keona looked up as the door opened. She was about to frantically cover herself when she realized it was just Iridessa and she breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh. It's you," she said with a shake of her head, going to get something to wear out of her bag. She glanced up, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you turned around? It's not like it's anything you haven't seen before. And I want snacks."
Iridessa blushed, "Because we aren't a thing anymore." She said softly. Iridessa reached behind her and handed her some snacks without her looking back. She didn't want to see her like that. It was bad enough what she did in the room with Lenny and that she kissed her today.
Keona scrambled to pull on a tunic that came down to her mid-thighs, taking the snacks quickly and all but shoving them in her mouth so she could find some underwear. "There, I'm decent," she said, pulling on a pair of shorts-style underwear. "Now gimme more snacks."
Iridessa turned around and handed her share of the snacks before going sit down and eating. "I wanna drive Lenny crazy while I can. So..." She said and began to nibble on her snack. "You still look really pretty." She said softly and blushed. "Anyway... so would you like a house of your own on the property? There is a lot of room." She said softly.
Keona sat down as well to eat the snacks, smiling a bit when Iridessa told her that she looked pretty. "Thanks," she said softly. When Iridessa asked her if she wanted a house of her own on the property she paused for a moment, clearly thinking it over. "I'm...not sure," she said softly. "I mean...I think it'll depend. On a lot of things. If I'm pregnant...if I find a man...what I want to do... I really don't know what I want to do with myself right now. I'm getting half of what I wanted...I wanted to get married and have babies but if I am pregnant, I've got the baby but no man to share it with, which is going to be so hard..."
April 3, 2018
Iridessa didn't look at her as she talked. It made sense, she was scared and she was alone. She didn't have a Lenny and Tyrell wasn't going to risk his heart for her. "I am sorry... I wish I could help." She said and poked at her bread. It was hard to not be able to help. She wanted to hold K and comfort her, but she figured it wouldn't help. "I... I am sure you will find a very nice man and he will be there to share your child. Right now we should take it one step at a time. First we have to find out if you are even pregnant. I could be totally sensing something else. Hell I don't know I am new to this. Also I think your brother has a thing for sharing me with you and I want to address that with him... I am fucking pregnant for one and it is bad enough that he has to see me naked with a belly. Second we aren't a thing and third I felt so uncomfortable with doing that. Also, you would make a great mom if you were pregnant." She said softly.
Keona sighed softly and nodded. "I hope I find a very nice man. Maybe your mother can set me up with someone,” she joked with a laugh. She raised an eyebrow when she heard Iridessa's comment on what Lenandel had done, looking up at her in surprise. "Weren't you the one who wanted to be with both of us at the same time in the first place?" she asked. "I mean, I'm pretty sure I walked in on you guys and you said you wanted me to join, and you were the one who brought things to a stop when I wouldn't take it as far as you wanted to..."
Iridessa laughed, "I am pretty sure she would set you up with an elf. She knows plenty of them." She said and shook her head. When she made the comment about her wanting K when she was with Lenny Iridessa glared a bit, "that was before... nevermind. I just didn't think it was appropriate since we are only friends." She said and looked away.
Keona raised an eyebrow slightly when Iridessa commented that her mother would probably set her up with an elf. She paused for a moment, thoughtful as she considered the notion. "Elves can be nice," she mused thoughtfully. "They're not usually the big burly types that I like, but those don't seem to be working out for me very well," she added with a sad shake of her head. When Iridessa commented that it wasn't appropriate, Keona raised an eyebrow. "Yeah? Do you kiss all your friends like that?" she asked with a smirk. "I don't think Lenandel would approve if you do..."
Iridessa's jaw tightened and she got up, "Don't you have a shower to take? You stink." She said and made her way to the door. "That kiss won't happen again." She said and opened it before gently closing it. She made her way to the room across the hall and dumped her snacks on the dresser before climbing into bed. Kissing K was a mistake. She had slipped and it couldn't happen again.
Keona sighed and nodded. "Goodnight," she said softly before retreating into the bathroom to have her shower. When she was done she crawled into bed, not certain whether she was happy again or whether she was back to being sad. She was scared now, that much was for sure. As much as she wanted a baby, she wasn't sure this timing was right - not while she was struggling emotionally like this, and especially not after the wild drinking binge she'd been on for the last month and a half. She slept poorly that night, and in the middle of the night she got up and went to Lenandel's room. "Lenandel?" she asked softly as she poked her head in, only to realize that Iridessa wasn't there. She'd thought that Iridessa had returned to Lenandel's room, especially after making such a big deal to him about having convinced her father to let them share a room, so she was confused, but she shut the door behind her and went over to her brother. "Are you awake?" she asked him softly. "Barely," he grumbled in a groggy tone, shifting slightly on the bed. Keona sat down, hanging her head. "I'm scared," she told him in a soft voice. He gave a small nod. "I know," he mumbled in response. "To tell you the truth...I am, too." Keona sighed softly, saying nothing more; instead she laid down on her back and stared at the darkened ceiling. She eventually drifted off, finding comfort in having her brother at her side.
Iridessa woke up before the sun even did and sighed. She had forgotten she was back home. Slowly getting up she did her bathroom business and headed into her room. K was sleeping next to Lenny and she smirked. She got what she wanted in the end. Without a sound she got a change of clothes and went back to the bedroom to switch outfits and headed to her father's study. He was there, as she knew he would, and she kissed his cheek. "Morning, father." She said softly. He looked up from his paper work and smiled, "Morning, hun. How are you feeling?" He asked and she shrugged. "I guess okay?" She twiddled her thumbs before sighing, "I just needed you to know that I know you aren't my real father." She said softly and his eyes went wide, "BUT that doesn't change a damn thing. As much as you... did me dirty.... you weren't always like that. I get now why you were so damn controlling, but that still doesn't mean you handled it the best. You are the only father I know and whoever this other man is doesn't have the right to be called father. You apparently stepped up, when you didn't have to... and I just wanted to say thanks." She said softly. Never in her life had she ever seen her father cry, but today was the day for new things. He stood and hugged her close. "I am so... so damn sorry for the shit I put you through. I admit I handled it poorly... no leader or father should have done the things I did." He said softly. Iridessa smiled and hugged him back, "It's okay, I forgive you for it." She said. He nodded and they had breakfast before discussing what has been going on political wise and other things. When they were done the sun had risen and her father had a meeting to go to. She said her goodbyes and walked out of his office to head over to the room she slept in last night and sighed before laying back down.
When morning came, Lenandel was the first to wake up. He couldn't help but to smile a bit when he saw Keona, finally sleeping peacefully. He got up, contemplating whether or not to try to have a shower on his own. He decided not to, figuring he'd best err on the side of caution, and instead he got up and moved to the chairs by the window for a change of positions and scenery. If Keona was here, where had Iridessa slept? He was disappointed that she'd put the effort into getting her father to let them share a room only to bail on him. He was hurt.
Iridessa couldn't go back to sleep so she got up and was going to have a walk when she met her mother and doctor in the hallway. "Oh... well... you are certainly not in your room." She said and eyed her daughter. Iridessa shrugged, "I have my reasons. I am guessing it is check up time? Let me go wake, K up so she is ready for you. Dr. Taylor can go in the room I came out of. That is where we both will see her." She said before going into her room. Her mother smiled proudly, her daughter was becoming into such a good woman. She didn't knock and when she saw Lenny there by the windows she thought about last night and how he didn't really fit in over here. He was meant for the outside world. Iridessa went over to K and gently shook her, "Hey, get up. You need to get ready, Dr. Taylor is here and when she is done with me she will be needing you to walk in. She is a busy woman so don't make her wait." She said before saying good morning to Lenny and walking out.
Keona grumbled a bit when Iridessa woke her and she nodded slightly. "Okay," she mumbled. Lenandel sat by the window, not looking up when Iridessa arrived and not responding when she said good morning to him. Keona stared at him for a moment, wondering what the hell had gone down between them, and then she got up to grab a change of clothes and get dressed.
The check up went fine and she walked out before telling K to go. Apparently she had a hurt giant to tend to. She walked into her room and looked at him. "Seriously gonna get ass hurt? It was damn clear she needed you a lot more than I did. You seriously think she would have came slept with us?" She said annoyed.
Keona waited her turn and nodded when Iridessa told her to go in. She walked in, clearly nervous and hesitant, and bit her lip slightly as she looked at the doctor. Lenandel looked up when Iridessa came in, raising an eyebrow. "A little communication would be nice, rather than leaving me here wondering what the hell I did wrong," he replied in a soft voice. "You need to talk to me, baby girl. I have no idea what's running through your mind if you don't. You're unpredictable."
Dr. Taylor smiled when K came in. She went over what she was going to do before telling her to lay back. Once K did she went on with doing her doctorly duties before sitting back. "Well... You are indeed pregnant, but I am not liking how it's developing. Though it has a strong heartbeat it doesn't seem like it needs to be where it supposed to be development wise. I will go back to my office later today and get you medicine to help it. Hopefully we aren't too late. For right now high protein foods and fruit is what I want you eating till I see improvements." She said softly. "That's rich coming from the man who tells me nothing." She sighed and looked around. "Do you need help with anything?" She asked while looking through some of her things.
Keona's eyes widened when the doctor said that she was, in fact, pregnant. She nodded when the doctor spoke. "That's...probably my fault," she said softly, hanging her head. "My fiancé ended things and I didn't take it well. I've been pretty much constantly drunk for the last month and a bit... I wish I'd known sooner, I'd have stopped right away...I've wanted kids for so long," she said softly, closing her eyes when tears started coming to them. Lenandel raised an eyebrow, looking over his shoulder at her. "Tells you nothing? What haven't I told you?" he asked. He knew pregnant women were supposed to be moody, but he wasn't sure he could deal with another six months of her acting like this.
Dr. Taylor nodded, "it surely would have helped if you did, but you didn't know... So you can't be at fault. I say you are around a month and a half. You couldn't have really known any sooner." She said softly. "Just know that if you stop now you could possibly have a healthy baby... just maybe a bit tinier than we'd like." She smiled softly. "I will get you that medicine as soon as possible. No later than tonight. Now go eat and tell Iridessa she needs to eat and not starve that damn baby. Not eating won't make that baby any less big." She sighed. She nodded, "yeah, you know... not talking to me about your feelings." She said and then sighed when she couldn't find the book. "Do you need help with anything?" She asked once again.
Keona was glad that the doctor was as kind as she was, having almost expected her to chastise her for what she'd done. She blinked in surprise when the doctor said that she thought she was about a month and a half along. If she'd been pregnant this whole time...was it possible that the baby was Tyrell's? She shook the thought away and nodded towards the doctor. "I'll tell her that. And I'll make sure my brother knows it, too. If it's as big as you seem to be indicating, there's no doubt in my mind that it's his," she said with a weak laugh. Lenandel frowned. "I tell you about my feelings all the damn time. I love you. It hurts me when you act all cold and distant like this. And yes, there is something I need help with. I need some reassurance. I need my baby girl to come sit in my lap and let me cuddle you for a while to remind me that I've got you, because sometimes it feels like I don't," he replied.
Dr. Taylor talked a bit more before leaving. Iridessa shook her head, "I mean the half of the ride back home." She said before she went go sit down in his lap. "I love you"
Keona thanked the doctor before she left, and then she headed back to her room to rest. Her head was spinning at the news she'd just received. She was actually pregnant. She couldn't believe it. Lenandel sighed as she sat in his lap and he wrapped both arms around her, pulling her close against him. "I love you, too," he told her softly, closing his eyes and resting his head on hers. "I just hate this...this constant fear. I'm always afraid that you're eventually going to realize that you're much too good for me and you're not going to be happy with me any more, and it doesn't help when you act distant like you have been," he told her gently.
Iridessa frowned, "I fought my way back to you for a reason. I want to be with you.
Lenandel nodded. "Good," he told her, and then kissed the top of her head.
After a while Iridessa got up, "I have things to do. I'll tell the guards to bring you food." She said and kissed him before leaving.
Lenandel smiled and nodded when she said she had to go. "Of course, baby girl," he replied, kissing her back gently. "And if you get a chance, check in and see how Keona's doing, maybe? I think I'll lie down for a bit while you're gone," he said. When she left he got up, grabbing his crutches and making his way back to the bed to rest for a while.
Iridessa nodded and went check on K first. She knocked before going in. "Hey hey... how did it go?" She asked softly.
Keona looked up from where she was lying on the bed. There were tears in her brown eyes. "I'm pregnant," she said in a soft voice before laying her head back down to stare straight up at the ceiling. "She said she thinks I'm about a month and a half along...she's concerned about the development, and I told her about all the drinking, and she said we should be able to get it under control as long as I follow her instructions, eat well, take her medicine, stop drinking, all those important things..." She lifted a hand to wipe some tears from her face. "I wanted a baby so badly and now I've got one and I've already fucked it up."
Iridessa crawled into bed with her and held her. "You had no idea... it isn't your fault. If anything it is mine, but I had no idea what I was seeing and you were already pissed off at me. So stop blaming yourself. Just follow her advice and your baby will be healthy and lively and most all probably sassy like you. Dear god... a sassy mini K... how do you even with that." She smiled and ran her fingers through her hair softly. "It will be okay, K." She said softly.
Keona was surprised that Iridessa climbed into the bed with her and she sighed softly, closing her eyes as Iridessa's fingers ran through her hair. "I hope it'll be okay," she said in a soft voice. "My brother will kill me if his first niece or nephew is born all fucked up, especially since it's gonna be so close in age to your baby and they'll be playmates and stuff. I just hope it's healthy...and that it'll forgive me for not being able to tell it who its father is..."
Iridessa growled, "I will fucking kick his ass if he gets mad. It's not your damn fault. I wanna kick his ass just thinking about it." She sighed before frowning somewhat, "You have no clue who it could be?" She asked softly.
Keona shook her head slightly. "Don't kick his ass," she said quickly. "He doesn't deserve that, he hasn't done anything..." She paused slightly when Iridessa questioned whether she had any clue who it could be and she shrugged. "I normally use protection but I guess I got really careless for a while there. Ty and I didn't use any the last time we slept together - it was that night after he called off the engagement, we had...I don't even know what to call it. It fucking hurt and I told him to stop at first, because he was pissed at me and I think he just wanted to hurt me, but it ended okay. I don't even know. But we didn't use protection that night, and then I was just so hurt and broken and upset that I started with the drinking and hooking up with random guys, and sometimes we used protection and sometimes we didn't...I mean, it could be Ty, or it could be some random guy from anywhere between here and Jerrical, or it could be one of those guys you killed...I just don't know..."
Iridessa looked pissed at first. "Imma kick Ty's ass then." She said before going quiet. That wasn't good. That baby could come out looking like everyone. At least for Iridessa she had some kind of hoped since the baby was big, but it could just be a big baby and still be Darcy's. She sighed and laid back, "and I highly doubt it would believe I was its father. You could always do what I was gonna do. Tell it that it's dad died heroically. That way it clears up a lot of shit. Worst case it will ask you what he was like and blah blah blah." She said .
Keona sighed softly, shaking her head. "Don't kick Ty's ass...I had it coming. I don't blame him for what he did...I mean, it hurt like hell, but he was pissed because I hurt you." She was quiet for a moment, glancing over in surprise when Iridessa said to just tell it that its dad had died a hero. "Iri, you know I love you, but that's..." She paused for a moment. "Actually, that's not a terrible idea. It'd kill any chance I'd ever have of winning Ty back, though, because he gets so salty about people lying and he'd be pissed if he found out that I told my kid its dad was dead just to avoid having to tell it that I'm a fucking skank."
Iridessa looked at her, "actually I didn't know you love me... like me sure.. but I don't think I could ever believe you with that love bullshit. And of course it is a grand idea. Ty can shove it up his dick hole. If he doesn't wanna step up and be a man like Lenny then he has no right." She said and a knock came on the door. Iridessa got up and answered it. A guard was standing there and behind him Tyrell. She glared at him before excusing herself. She walked out and dragged Tyrell away. "K is pregnant. Could be your baby or could be one of the many many many men she fucked. But the time matches you or the men she fucked from then and five days after... so... now that you know that. Tell me what you have on my sperm donor." She said. Tyrell blinked, "GOSH DAMMIT WOMAN!" He yelled and made her jump. "Not you. K. She... She couldn't even keep her legs closed..." he paced the room. "She didn't know... you fucking called off the engagement.. She was devastated. So she is just going to say the father died heroically if it ain't yours. Now my fucking information." She said. Tyrell sighed, "apparently he is a king in another land and he is an incubus. Also heard he is headed this way to meet you apparently he isn't too keen that you are having a child with a human." He said and Iridessa blinked. "He isn't my damn father! Who cares what he... oh my god... I'm so tired of this shit." She said and walked out. Tyrell walked into K's room and blinked, he didn't know what to say. Iridessa went to her mother to relay the message and her mother freaked. She didn't know how the hell her real father could have found out until she realized her sister probably told him. She sent Iridessa to stay with her man until she figured it out and Iridessa sent guards down to get Lenny some food and her a small salad with chicken. When she got in her room she told Lenny everything before laying on the bed defeated.
Keona looked up in surprise when there came a knock on the door. She frowned, watching Iridessa go, and then laid back on the bed while she waited. Iridessa was gone for a short while, and when the door opened again she looked up, about to ask who it had been...but instead of Iridessa standing at the door, she saw Tyrell. Her brown eyes widened and she let out a slight groan, lying back down. "Speak of the devil and he shall appear," she said in a soft voice. "I'm assuming Iridessa got you all caught up on everything you've missed?" Lenandel looked up when Iridessa came in and he smiled a bit. He listened while she talked, telling him everything, and then when she laid down on the bed, he laid gently beside her. He wrapped one arm around her and rested his hand on her stomach. "Thank you for helping my sister out," he told her in a soft voice. He appreciated that she'd stuck around to comfort Keona after she'd found out the news. "And I'm sorry about your birth father. I'm sure your parents are going to do everything in their power to keep you safe, though, and you know I will too. Besides," he said with a slight frown, "what's he gonna do if he's mad about you having a baby with a human? It's not like he can make you not pregnant. It's already a done deal, there's a baby in here and nobody can change that," he said, rubbing her bump gently.
Tyrell frowned, "it seems you have beat yourself enough for the both of us. If it is my child... I will be in its life." He said. He wasn't sure he even wanted to be back with her. She seemed like she had enough on her plate and he didn't know if he could love a woman and her bastard child. Then he mentally grown at being a dickwad. Of course he could love her and her child. "And if it's not mine... I still want to be in its life." He said. Hopefully she would grow up too. Iridessa shrugged when he mentioned about helping his sister. Then she sighed loudly before cuddling up to him. "He might take it and give it away, as my mom said. He hates humans. DESPIESES them." She said and she started trembling.
Keona was quiet as he spoke, not looking at him until he finished at which point she slowly turned her head to look at him in surprise. "You...want to be in its life? Even if it isn't yours?" she asked apprehensively, a trembling evident in her voice. That was an unexpected turn of events. She'd thought that he'd be angry with her, but it seemed that he was being understanding. Lenandel frowned, holding her close to him. "Shh. We're not gonna let him take the baby away. It's my baby as much as it is yours," he told her softly, kissing the top of her head. "He may want to take it away from you, but he has no right to take it away from me. I mean, he has no right to take it away from any of us, of course...but my point is, if you need me to take the baby and hide to keep it safe from him, I'm happy to do that until he's gone. Nobody's giving our baby away. Nobody," he said firmly, rubbing her stomach reassuringly. "That's right, baby, daddy's not gonna let anyone take you," he said softly, looking down at her bump.
Tyrell nodded and walked over to her before sitting down next to her on the bed. "I never stopped loving you. I don't want you to change personality wise. I just want you to think about things a bit more before just doing. I see Iridessa is talking to you... I just know from experience what she is going through... though... She is a lot nicer than I would be. Plus... baby bump." He winked. Iridessa heart sank, she didn't want to be away from her child at such a young age, but if it needed to be done she would do it. She laughed through tears as he talked to the baby. "The baby says you better not." She smiled and the guard came in with food. "Sorry sorry, your mom is scaring everyone and I have to hurry. I haven't seen your mom this pissed in... fucking ever." He said and bowed before running out. "We grew up together... He has a one year old son." She smiled.
Keona hugged her knees to her chest when he came and sat on the bed, looking up at him. "I always think things through before I do them. Not so much lately, though," she said, glancing away. "Iridessa started talking to me again just yesterday. We agreed that it's too hard and too much energy to keep hating on one another when obviously we don't...it's easier on everyone this way," she said. She blinked in surprise at his comment on the baby bump and she couldn't help but to smile. "Right. You and your weird pregnancy fetish," she said softly. Lenandel smiled down at her, looking up when the guard brought in the food. He then looked back down at her and nodded. "Well, maybe we'll have a girl and we can set her up with his son," he said jokingly, smiling a bit. "Come on baby girl, let's eat. I'm starving and you've got a little one to feed. We can't have my baby going hungry," he said, patting her stomach briefly before starting to get up.
Tyrell sighed and shook his head, "So you told her that you had actually loved her?" He asked before huffing. "I just think it is cute. Stop hating on my love for the bumps." He sighed. Iridessa laughed, "if it is a she she would have a choice, mister." She shook her finger at him and got up before nibbling on her salad. The doctor said she needed to eat more, but the baby was already so damn big.
Keona nodded slightly. "Yeah, I guess...I mean, I told her I'd had feelings for her all along but that it wasn't fair to everyone else...and hey, there may not be a bump yet but there's still a baby there. Say hi," she told him with a small giggle. Lenandel chuckled and nodded slightly. "Of course she'd have a choice, but that doesn't mean we couldn't set them up on a date together when they're old enough," he replied. He was quiet as he watched her eat, frowning a bit. "Eat more, baby girl," he said. "You've got a baby growing inside you. Please don't starve our baby," he continued in a gentle, teasing tone.
He looked at her, "How did she take it?" He asked and leaned over, kissing her belly before smiling. "Ello, I am sorry you have to be stuck in there for like nine months and stuff, but I mean... you can literally get womb service." He chuckled. Iridessa looked at him like he was crazy, "I am not starving our damn baby. This is more than enough and it is healthy." She said before continuing to eat. Who the hell was he to say she was starving their baby? She was eating, it was going to it and her.
Keona giggled, her face going a bit red when he kissed her stomach. She groaned slightly when she heard his joke. "Your first time talking to my baby and you make a really bad pun?" she asked, shaking her head. "I can't believe you." Lenandel raised an eyebrow slightly. "Unless you're stuffing your face with food when I can't see you, you're hardly eating enough to feed a growing baby," he told her. "Especially if it's gonna be a big baby like the last doctor said. You need enough to feed it on top of what you'd normally eat to feed yourself. You were eating fine before, when we were on the road, but you slowed down since then and I'm just worried. I'm not gonna stop worrying."
Tyrell chuckled and then blinked, "Oh your baby? Is that how this is gonna go?" He asked. "Last time I remembered it takes two to tango." He said before poking her belly. "Unless you don't want me to be the father." He said softly. "Or did your brother claim to be the father of this one too?" He asked. Iridessa glared at him, "I am always getting snacks. Ask K. I eat plenty to feed this baby. You have been stuck in the room so it isn't like you see me." She said and got up. "You need to eat your own food, last time I knew you were a sellswordsman and not a doctor." She said.
Keona stared at him for a moment, and then looked down at her stomach. "Our baby," she said in a soft voice. She liked the way it sounded. A slight smirk came to her lips and she looked up at him. "Iridessa offered to be the dad. We didn't think the baby would buy it, though." Lenandel sighed softly and nodded. "Okay. Fine. But don't be mad at me for worrying, baby girl," he said before starting in on his food. He was wondering about Tyrell and Keona; after all, Iridessa had mentioned that Tyrell was here, so was he talking to Keona now? Were things going well? He hadn't heard shouting, so that was promising.
Tyrell slapped the bed, "That woman... trying.... she has a baby. She is a baby hogger." He said and looked at her. "Yes, our baby." He said and leaned down to kiss her before going back down and kissing her belly. "So.. how did Iri take you telling her that?" He asked as he rubbed her belly softly. Iridessa rolled her eyes, "I know how to feed my own damn baby. I don't need you breathing down my neck." She said and finished her food. Iridessa sighed. "Do you need a bath?" She asked,
Keona giggled a bit when Tyrell called Iridessa a baby hogger. She smiled when he confirmed that 'our baby' was right and then kissed her, and she kissed back gently. She couldn't believe he was back. She couldn't believe he still wanted her after all this. She smiled as she watched him kiss her stomach. "She took it surprisingly well. I think she's just at a point where she's done fighting and hating me and she just wants us all to be happy together. She came in and comforted me after I found out I was pregnant, she was really good...I'm glad we're okay again. I mean, she's the mother of my niece or nephew, and the person Lenandel's chosen for himself, and it was breaking his heart that we were hating one another so much," she said softly. "I mean...I never hated her, and she said she didn't hate me, but we weren't talking...lots of glares...it was shitty." Lenandel nodded slightly. "Fair enough. I'll leave it alone, then," he told her softly. He was a bit annoyed that she couldn't at least appreciate that he was concerned about her and the baby, but he decided to just chalk it up to her pregnancy and her hormones making her grumpy. When she asked if he needed a bath, he nodded. "Yeah," he replied. "That'd probably be a good idea. Although..." A smirk came to his lips.
Tyrell shook his head, "two pregnant women..." He said and looked away before thinking about things. "That could be hot.. .especially when you two are at a certain point and can't you know... aww and then you two can rub each other's bellies... oh god... maybe it is a fetish." He said and slapped his cheeks. "Be ready for lots of babies." He said and smiled softly at her.
Keona stared at him as he spoke, blinking in surprise. "That's right, Ty, fantasize all you want because trust me, that's not happening," she told him with a smirk. She nodded a bit. "That sounds good to me. Lots and lots of babies."
Tyrell looked at her, "oh? So you won't be loving on her?" He asked and was happy up She wanted lots of kids. Iridessa leaned into his hand. When he said baby girl her body seemed to press against him. "Do you really need a hint?"
Keona shook her head slightly when he asked about her and Iridessa. "No. She's made it perfectly clear that there won't be anything between us. She's picked Lenandel. You're welcome to try to convince her otherwise, but I won't be pushing the matter," she replied with a shake of her head. "Besides, I've got you, and if you plan on keeping me constantly pregnant I'll have all the love and attention I need," she told him, smirking a bit.
Tyrell though about it, "she is a bit scary right now... but I think I can do it. Plus I won't always be around babe. I still have things to do so I can just settle now. I have strings to tie up and what not. Like bringing the cart to Pete. I don't know if you have done that yet, but I can and you can stay here. All in have to do is guilt her... or something. Don't worry... I will get her loving on you in no time and then my dream will come true." He chuckled.
Keona raised an eyebrow slightly when he commented that he thought he'd be able to convince Iridessa. She couldn't help but to smirk a bit. "If you can convince her to indulge your weird pregnancy fetish then I'm in," she replied. She paused for a moment, thinking. "I was gonna drop Pete's wagon back off. He's probably gonna be pissed that we had it so long...and that the driver's dead...so I figured I should do it, because Pete can't stay mad at me," she said with a smirk. "He's gonna be pissed when he finds out that I'm settling down and he's not included. Should we make him the godfather? Pete's a good dude to have on your side..."
Tyrell laughed, "You gotta stop calling it weird. It is perfectly normal. She will bend." He said and then glared, "I really rather you not go. I can take Iridessa. Bitch is emotional and she can literally sing people to death. That is the one who you will want on our side. Plus I don't want him having our kid if we die. That is a hard no from me." He said.
"What do you mean?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "And fine, fine. Pete won't be the godfather. But I don't see why I can't come along. I'm not gonna spend my pregnancy wasting away inside Iridessa's big fancy house until the farm is built. I'd much rather be on the road with you," she said.
Tyrell playfully glared at her and sighed, "Some women I think get uncomfortable after they get so big." He said and shrugged. "I don't know, but someones gotta love the both of you at the same time when the men go off to play. Well if Lenny ever gets his leg healed up." He sighed. "Plus... if anything she is just scared to get her heart broken by you again. She may have picked him and loves him strongly, but she loved you first. I am sure." He said and sighed. "Well for one, I much rather not have to kill Pete and then use Iri as a weapon... though maybe you can come... sure why not, but you cant come with me to tie up loose strings. That is too dangerous and I am not risking it with you and the baby. That is a hard no from me. If I have to get Iri to knock your ass out I will. Oh shit... I wonder if she knows that she has to eat energy. Like... when she sings or some shit she takes people's energy. If she doesn't get a certain amount she can get sick and being pregnant means she has to double it. When I was getting information on her real dad I found some shit out. If her body doesn't get enough of energy it will take the baby's."
Keona raised an eyebrow, looking at him and frowned a bit when he mentioned that Iridessa would drain energy from the baby if she didn't get enough. "That sounds kinda important, Ty, did you not think to tell her that?" she asked.
Tyrell gasped, "I shall not hit a pregnant lady.. or any lady... unless I gotta teach her a lesson." He said and then looked at her. "Well I forgot. I was kinda panicky since her REAL father is coming here. He is a king from another kingdom across the seas and he is pissed. It was bad enough his daughter was raised by a human but her having a baby with one... along with the adventure she had. He isn't happy. His workers have been here watching her since her birth. He isn't happy and there is a chance he will try and take her baby and give it off. But I can tell Iri about the baby energy thing later. There are signs that she isn't taken enough energy, but I haven't seen them." He smiled and rubbed her belly softly. "So tell me... did you get a check up yet? How is it doing?" He asked softly.
Keona giggled a bit when he told her that he'd never hit someone unless he had to teach her a lesson. "That'd be a lesson to teach," she said with a shrug. She listened quietly while he talked about Iridessa's father and she frowned. "Lenandel won't let that happen. He's gonna be such a protective dad," she said softly. She laid back a bit and smiled as he rubbed her stomach. "Yeah, I saw Iridessa's doctor last night. She's concerned about the baby's development but she said we can probably fix things since it's still early. She told me not to blame myself but seeing as how I've been constantly drunk since you left, I'm pretty sure it's my fault
Tyrell listened and smirked at her words before sighing. "I wouldn't be surprise to see Lenny go apeshit, but I am sure him and Iri will work something out. She would go shit crazy if someone tried to take her baby. I have seen her in Jerrical. It was scary and beautiful at the same time. If I am ever on my death bed she can sing me to death." He chuckled before kissing her belly. "You had no idea you were pregnant. You don't need to blame yourself. I sure don't. The baby has your genes... it is gonna be strong and kick ass." He smiled and kissed her lips and sighed happily.
Keona nodded slightly at his comments. "I know, Iridessa would be pissed...I'm pretty sure she was determined to keep it from the beginning, which shows how dedicated she is to it. She and Lenandel won't let anything happen to that kid," she said with a shake of her head, giggling a bit when he commented that Iridessa could sing him to death. She smiled,. "I'm glad you're not mad," she said softly, and then kissed him back when he kissed her. "I was worried you'd be pissed. I was just...so wrecked after what happened with us. Last night was the first night I haven't been drunk off my ass...and that's just because Iri and I started talking again and I said that I should just go ahead and marry Pete and then I realized that I've definitely got a problem," she said with a giggle.
Tyrell was happy she stopped drinking and happy that her and Iridessa started talking. "Oh man... what if I didn't come back? You and Iridessa might have been back together." He huffed. "Now I will just leave and come back to steal my baby." He pretended to laugh evilly.
Keona raised an eyebrow when she heard his words. She shifted positions, laying so her head was in his lap rather than at the pillow. "You're not going anywhere," she protested. "But you're welcome to steal all the babies you want. I think we've already decided that there will be lots of them...so I guess I won't notice if one of them is missing," she said with a giggle. "So yeah. Help yourself to my babies as long as you keep helping me to make them.".
Tyrell blinked, "oh? Oh dear... what have I done? My limit is fourteen." He smirked and blinked when her head was in his lap and ran his fingers through her hair softly. "I love how you didn't deny the Iridessa thing." He said before cupping her cheek, "hmmm what to do with you?"
Tyrell ran a hand over her tummy and held her close. "I love you, babe... you are the best." He said softly. "And I know... I know we left off on a really bad note... and I want to marry you. I do... just... give it some time." He said softly and kissed her forehead before rolling them in a blanket.
Keona smiled as she felt his hand on her stomach. "I love you too," she murmured, closing her eyes and resting against him. She giggled a bit when he rolled them up in a blanket. "I understand, Ty. And I'm sorry for what happened with us. I wasn't listening and I was too quick to give up on what we had instead of just dealing with the problem..."
Tyrell nodded, "We both fucked up... it happens, but hey at least we are together now, hm?" He asked and kissed her neck before nibbling it. "I could eat you up." He whispered before laughing softly.
Keona grinned up at him, shivering a bit and tilting her head when he started to kiss and nibble on her neck. She giggled a bit, and then drew back so she could look at him. "Ty," she said in a soft voice, lifting a hand and resting it on his cheek, "can...can I ask you something?" She was a bit nervous about what his answer would be, but she had to know.
Tyrell was nibbling her shoulder when she asked if she could ask him something, "Of course, love." He said softly and leaned over her, brushing her hair away from her face. "What is it, love?" He asked.
Keona gazed up at him as he brushed the hair from her face, blushing a bit. "If you'd shown up here...and I wasn't pregnant...would we still be here?" she asked in a soft voice. "Would you have wanted to give me another chance of your own accord? Or did you only decide to come talk to me because you found out there was a baby involved? Because I just..." Keona paused for a moment, glancing away. "I'm scared that the baby's the only reason you came back to me. And I don't want the baby to be responsible for getting us back together."
Tyrell sighed softly and slid the covers from them before sitting up, "To be honest I was on the fence of seeing you, even with the baby. I knew there was a chance the baby wouldn't be mine... and a part of me didn't even want to see you. Then I thought about it and I would hate myself for not seeing you. So in a way it is both." He said softly.
Keona gazed up at him as he sat up, staying lying down on the bed while she listened to what he had to say. "So you think you would still have come if I hadn't been pregnant? Or if Iri hadn't told you?" she asked, sitting upright as well after a moment and reaching out to put a hand on his arm. "Because I'm glad you came back. I wasn't going to tell Iri or my brother this, but I was scared of doing this on my own...I know I would have had them, but they're having their own baby and having your brother and his girl to help out is different from having...well...a dad for the baby," she said softly.
Tyrell nodded, "Maybe to peek in and say I was glad you weren't dead." He smirked. "I understand and I don't want you to have to go through that. We both want a family and we both love each other, so... I don't see why we can't now." He said softly.
Keona smiled up at him, moving so she could sit in his lap. She slid her arms around his neck. "I love you so much," she said in a soft voice. "And I know this didn't happen in the best way possible but it's worked out really well. I'm happy that we're going to have a baby," she told him with a smile.
Tyrell held her closer to him. "I love you too, babe." He said softly and kissed the tip of her nose. "I am so damn happy we are having a baby together. You are going to be such a great mother... and a hot one." He winked
Keona giggled a bit when he kissed the tip of her nose and she blushed when he told her that she'd be a great and hot mother. "Oh, stop it," she said, though she knew that he knew that she didn't mean it. She smirked a bit. "You're gonna be one hot daddy. Do I get to call you daddy now? Because that's gonna be weird once there's a baby in the picture," she told him with a giggle.
Tyrell let out a booming laugh, "Mmm please do... if that is what you would like, babe." He said and kissed her softly and leaned her down on the bed and leaned down to kiss her tummy. "This baby is going to be so loved." He said softly.
Keona giggled a bit at his reaction. She kissed him back when he kissed her and closed her eyes, laying her head back when he leaned down to kiss her stomach. "It will be," she agreed softly. "It's got an amazing daddy...a mommy who's wanted nothing more than to meet it for ages...an incredible uncle...a super scary auntie...and a cousin its own age that it can play with..." Keona grinned, happy for her baby. It was going to have such a happy life, she was sure of it.
Tyrell tried hard not to laugh when she called Iridessa a super scary auntie. The girl was so tiny that it just seemed so funny. He thought about his kid with Iridessa and Lenny’s kid and smirked, they would be so close… or he hoped they would. “Get some rest, babe. I am going to go talk to Iridessa and Lenny about the energy thing.” He said and kissed her cheek before walking out and to the room next door.
Iridessa had a field day trying to help Lenny get in the shower and not hurt his leg. She nearly slipped and busted her face open. Once everything was done and her cuts were bandaged up she laid on the bed exhausted. “I just want to sleep for a million years, babe. Just… I guess wake me up when I have to give birth,” She laughed before hearing the knock. She got up slowly and walked over to the door and opening it, seeing Tyrell at the door. “What you want, fool?” she asked, letting him in.
“I forgot to tell you that you need to take in double the energy you normally take, or your body will absorb the baby’s and you can miscarry or have a still born. I was so wrapped up in telling you about your father and K’s situation, but I wanted to tell you as soon as possible.” He said.
Iridessa blinked and looked up at him, “Who am I going to take from like that? I will ask Raphael about it tomorrow, maybe he can help me with all of this.” She said softly before thanking him and closed the door when he left. “Can’t just have an easy pregnancy.” She sighed went lay back in bed. “I am sure we will get this figured. Now about those blueprints, first thing is first. How many kids you want? Because that will determine how many rooms we need.” She smiled up at him.
