Erorn was used to this sort of thing, before he had got with Marcus he used to go jogging every morning too. But he had gotten a little spoiled living in the castle. He caught up to James pretty quickly and kept pace. He enjoyed the scenery rather than asking James to speed up. The forest looked much nicer in the day than it did in the dark stormy weather. He did his best not to get too distracted, but he was beginning to realize that James was actually pretty attractive. He shook his head to get the idea out. He was sure it was just from being cooped up with him in such close quarters and all the things he was teaching him. "The forest is really beautiful, shame there's so many dangerous creatures in it. I can see why you'd want to live out here." He tried to break the silence.
James ran in silence for a while before Erorn began to talk. He had actually forgot that he was there. Ah, yeah. During the day it is safe, most of the animals skitter away from you when you get too close. It is during the night you should always be indoors. He took Erorn further into the woods. Further away from humanity, just incase he got any ideas of running away. James decided to stop by a small lake, about one thirds of the one on the island. Small... breather. He panted lightly.
Erorn was enjoying the run and the view. He loved the lake. It was so still and peaceful it looked like a mirror. He looked out at it and he realized he was panting. He had been running harder than he thought. "That lake looks nice and cool. You want to go swimming?" He asked innocently. "I mean, it's still exercise and it would cool us down. Then the rest of the jogging wouldn't be so hot and sweaty." He said as he walked to the edge of the lake. He picked up a rock and skipped it across the surface of the lake.
James took off his shirt and then his pants, leaving his boxer briefs on. He placed them on the grass before walking into the water and diving in. He hadn't been swimming in a while and he loved the cool feeling of the water flowing over him. He came up and looked up at Erorn. You coming? This was your idea. He said.
Erorn did his best not to look below James' waste, but couldn't help but sneak a peek. He wasn't disappointed. He stripped down to his own briefs before jumping in himself. He swam out and flipped to his back and did the backstroke. He was enjoying the cool water as well. "This is nice." He said as he closed his eyes.
Mmm that it is... He said before creeping up and sliding his arm through the water and reached over, rubbing his ear for a bit before swimming back and watching his reaction. He wasn't a playful type, but he liked to pick.
Erorn was relaxed until James' rubbed his ear. He jolted to a different position and looked at him waiting for his reaction. "Well, I see where Marcus learned to tease people." He chuckled. He swam up next to him and whispered in his ear "If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were flirting with me." He knew he shouldn't, but he liked the flirting. He was gentler with it than Marcus, even if the result was the same.
James looked innocent. Taught Marcus? Marcus who? He smirked when Erorn swam up to him. His hands traveled up his legs and to his hips, gently gliding him back. Erorn, I am a gentleman. I don't even know how to flirt. I don't even know the word. I do know this though, James slid a hand out of the water and gently rubbed his ear again.
Erorn smiled. Maybe this was for the best. "Oooooh." he moaned. "Right, skip the flirting just go right for what you want, huh?" He smiled. "Just take advantage of the submissive elf in the water who's only wearing his briefs." He joked back in a flirting tone. He grabbed him around the waste and pulled him closer "But, maybe this isn't a helpless little elf after all." He grinned devilishly. He kissed James passionately.
James wanted nothing more than to kiss Erorn back, but he couldn't. He gently pushed Erorn back in the water. I have found your biggest weakness, Erorn. Now control it. You never want to have someone having that control over you. Ever. He swam passed Erorn and walked back to his clothes. He took them, hiding behind some trees, and stripped out of his wet clothes before getting into his dry ones. The kid was going to hate him, but he was just trying to help.
Erorn said nothing at first. Yeah, my biggest weakness is being nice to assholes who don't deserve it. Seems like that would be a strength in his line of work. He swam back to the shore and got changed as well, not even trying to peak at James this time. Part of him wanted to just run off. He knew he was fast enough and he was just so sick of others telling him how he was supposed to act. But he was also done with running away from his problems. His expression went dull and lifeless. It's not like he doesn't have his own glaringly obvious weaknesses. "So, we going farther or going back to the house?" He asked after he was dressed.
James could tell he was angry at him. So when they were ready to head back home he decided to lay everything out, We are going back home. Also, you would have resented me if I kept it up. You want to be weak? Be my guess... look how far it has gotten you. He didn't wait for Erorn this time. He began running, not the fastest he could go, but enough where it would put a gap between them.
Erorn followed. He wasn't going to get into this shit again. Not with a man who took him hostage. He knew James' weakness, it was the same as Marcus'; he had to be in control. He was a damn perfectionist and everything was his way or no way at all. He thought that if Erorn didn't do things his way it made him weak. He was far stronger than James would ever give him credit for. He kept James in sight, but didn't run anywhere close to full speed. He didn't want to be close enough to talk to him, he was doing his best to keep his temper in check.
Erorn kept his composure. "Yeah, I can go for a run." He got changed really quick and followed James out into the woods. He decided to keep up and jog beside James this time. He was enjoying the fresh air. He had picked up on the fact that James liked it quiet and he wasn't all that put off by it either.
They ran in silence, except for their panting. This time James decided to take Erorn around the lake and further into the woods. At some points he almost forgot that Erorn was there at all. The clouds had begun to roll in closer and the woods were getting dark. James stopped and turned to Erorn, A little break and we should head ba-. James heard the crack of thunder and hurried to cover Erorn's ears. He looked down at him and frowned, mouthing the word sorry. He knew it was a bad idea to have him run with him.
Erorn didn't realize a storm was coming when they left. When the thunder cracked and James rushed to cover his ears, he felt comforted. He looked up as James mouthed the word sorry. He couldn't resist that sad look and he gave James a big hug. He smiled. "You don't control the weather, you don't have to apologize for it." he laughed. "You see, this kind of thing is the reason I like you. You knew I didn't like thunder and you rushed to help me. You're so sweet. But don't worry I won't tell anyone, I know you have a reputation to maintain. I think I'll be okay to get back, but thank you."
Erorn was too cute for him. He dropped his hands when the thunder stopped. James had to behave. Marcus was going to be there today or tomorrow or at least in a few days. Erorn didn't need to be lead any further down the rabbit's hole, but James really wanted to kiss him. He stood there glaring at the tree behind Erorn and sighed. Okay, let's see if we can outrun the rain. They began to run when the thunder started up again, he looked back and hoped Erorn would be okay.
Nasir stopped laughing then and cleared his throat. "I was raised with a blackmailer... I will think about it." He gave a fake evil laugh. Then he got a bit more serious, "I have no idea what they want with Elwin besides for that ring thing and Elwin isn't like that at all... They better not have done anything to him. If I snap... take Elwin and leave. You two don't need to be there and accidentally getting hurt." They had just entered the wooded area that surrounded the town.
Nasir shook his head, "Marcus can run a kingdom, but his love life is a joke. We are good friends and he is a decent guy, when he wants to be. I don't think he wanted any of this. He is getting married after all, so I highly doubt he was going out of his way for this to happen. I wonder if he knows Elwin has been kidnapped." Nasir looked at Atlas, he knew he hated him. Atlas had every right to. He smiled thinking that Atlas came all this way to save Elwin. "Do you love him?" He asked.
Nasir laughed softly, "You have a point, you know he isn't going to let you take it off...you are doomed to be one hell of a butler, Atlas. Glad Ofelia isn't into that sort of thing. I am a free bird." He chuckled and they pulled into the town He stepped out and let Atlas come after him when a group of girls screamed Ollie's name. Nasir side stepped and let them have their Ollie. This time Nasir laughed, "Ollie is very popular."
Nasir could have watched this all day, but he saw a glimpse of Marcus and didn't want to lose him. "Sorry girls, this isn't Ollie and we have things to do." He grabbed Atlas' wrist and pulled him out of the group of girls and hurried towards the direction where Marcus was going. He let go when they were away from the girls. "I saw Marcus, if we follow him we can find Elwin." Nasir was happy that he was a giant right now. He could easily spot Marcus over everyone.
