Cherono laughed a little when Jasper said that he'd love whatever he wore. "Ugh. How did I get so lucky as to find you?" he asked before glancing over at Unarelle. She had started off eating quickly and had gobbled down about a third of her plate, but had then abruptly stopped and was now poking at her food. He frowned a bit, watching her for a moment. "Una, you should eat," he said in a gentle tone, and she blinked. "I am eating," she said, setting down her fork.
Jasper blinked and watched the whole thing go down. He didn't know what to say because he didn't know what was going on and even if he did he was sure she would feel uncomfortable about him talking to her about it.
Cherono frowned a bit when Unarelle put her fork down, but decided not to push her any more. He went back to his own food, taking a few more bites. After a brief silence, it was Unarelle who spoke up. "Have you talked to Barynn?" she asked, looking at Cherono, who blinked and shook his head. "No. I mean, not today, at least. You've probably talked to her more recently than I have. Why?" he asked, and she smiled a bit. "Oh, she's just really excited about the baby and stuff. It's cute, especially after how much she didn't want it when she first found out," she said softly. Cherono paused slightly. "Wishing you could be more like Barynn?" he asked after a moment, and she gave a small nod.
Jasper didn't say anything as he listened to the two. He wished he could comfort the small girl, but really what could he say? He didn't think she should have it if she wasn't ready. Kids were a lot and after a bit he excused himself before gently rubbing Cherono's head, and walking out the back of the house and sitting on the steps.
Cherono looked up when Jasper excused himself, smiling a bit when he rubbed his head and nodding. He finished up his food and managed to get Unarelle to eat most of hers. He packed the rest up for her to take home, although he knew there was probably more than enough food in his sisters' house. He cleaned up his and Unarelle's dishes before heading out to the back to check on Jasper. "You good, babe?" he asked in a gentle voice when he'd opened the back door, looking at him on the steps.
Jasper looked up at his man and nodded, "Yeah, I'm okay. Just needed some fresh air. If she isn't ready for that baby then she needs to give it up. There is nothing worse than a parent having a baby that they aren't ready to have. It could just lead into one of them dying." He said and looked away again.
Cherono went over and put a gentle hand on Jasper's back, nodding. "I agree totally," he said softly. "That's why she's giving it to the dad. I don't think Yora should be keeping hers either - honestly, if I were gonna trust one of them with a baby it'd be Una before Yora - since they're both just kids and all, but apparently she is. Una hasn't told me much but apparently Yora got back together with Birger and forgave him for all the shit he did to her," he said, a frown coming to his lips. "A whole damn night of the same shit Dex did to me and she forgives him. I'll never understand that kid."
Jasper blinked and shook his head, "I will never understand it either, but she loves him I guess and I think him and Dex are mental and need help. But what can you do?" He asked and sighed before rubbing his mouth. He missed his daughter so damn much right now that people were having babies.
Cherono leaned over and kissed Jasper's head gently. "Not much we can do but hope that Yora comes to her senses before she gets her ass beat again, I guess," he said disappointedly. "Both of the twins deserve nice guys. Guys like you. You're like...the ideal boyfriend. Except you're mine and they can't have you," he said with a slight smirk.
Jasper frowned, "Don't say such things, Cherono. You hope for the man to be better... your sister needs to play it smart too but still..." He said and shook his head. "No.. I am not." He said and stood. "A good boyfriend or husband doesn't get their daughter killed, Cherono." He said. "I am going to go home. I will see you tomorrow." He said softly and kissed him before leaving.
