Adrianna Crane peer up at the sky and scratched her cheek, wondering what the hell it could be. She quickly when through her mind of possible scenarios and quickly ruled each one of them out by her own accord, couldn't be this and couldn't be that. With a resigned sigh, the girl leaning up against the nearest graffiti stained, piss scented wall. Shady spot are good to hide in, too bad they smell like a sewage deposit in the desert, granted, there might actually be something more interesting in the desert.
The ground tremors stronger. Quakes aren't normal and panic was starting to spread this time around. The shadow being cast on the sky scraper was spreading to others. A reflection of something could be seen in the windows, yet opposite to the buildings there was nothing... All seemed normal except this growing shade.
Sasha Gremlich crouched as the tremors increased, skittering into a doorway for safety. He peered up at the sky again, unsure of what the hell was happening. "This isn't good..."
Adrianna Crane curses under her breath, seems like everything has to start coming to an end, and whenever big object fly at big objects, rule of thumb is to get your ass straight on out of there. With that much in mind, Adrianna pushes herself off the wall and begins to walk away, making it look like she was just late for an appointment rather than running from what she would believe, would result in explosions.
Felix gazed up from the book he has his nose buried in, yawning sleepily. He couldn't help it, he was always tired. However, as soon as his eyes opened once more, what he saw...fascinated him. From his vantage point, one of the many campus cafe's, just outside the business center of the city, he couldn't believe what he saw. Nor could he comprehend it, evident by the stream of over-sugared coffee that seems to dribble past his lips and down his chin. "The fuck is that...?" He asked to no one in particular.
Khhk... kkhhhhhhk... KkkkvvvBOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM.... The buildings seemed to crater inward before even being touched by anything. Slowly, a purple distortion poured against them. Plasma like formations spouting out in the shape of this massive island. A blast of dust and debris hid what was happening. It'd be nigh impossible to see what happened after that... It was only evident that the center of downtown was destroyed, and would take a while for the dust to settle.
Sasha Gremlich turned and bolted, the kkhhhhking booming outwards like thunder in an outward wave. Downtown was destroyed, and Sasha wasn't going to be anywhere near the wreckage.
Adrianna Crane tried to grab the man that rammed into her's shirt, but instead ended up clutching at air. She shrugged, normally it wasn't good to be around when this exploded, first rule of guerrilla warfare. She instead followed him, as he seemed to cut a swathe through the dust and have a definite direction, which was more than she could say.
Felix fell out of his chair as the shockwave of dust and grime hit him dead on, tumbling backwards head over heals before crashing into a short, scenic, metal fence. When he finally got up, he got up quickly, and started off at a dead run towards his dorm, which was on the other side of the campus. He wanted away from this madness already, and he was already feeling tired...did he just see something? "Please don't tell me I'm going nuts!" He cursed to himself.
Adrianna and Sasha nearly trample Felix as they run away from the site of the explosion. But, something sends a shiver down all of their spines... People yowling out in what could only be pain or fear of death. The sound is almost deafening, not too far from where you are running. After only a moment, more screams from either side...
Sasha Gremlich diverted his momentum away from the screams, nearly avoiding tripping on a man that he nearly trampled. He sped towards the only other direction that wasn't downtown or filled with screaming. He looked backwards, attempting to make out the source of the screams, before more screams started up before him. Just blood and screams, that was all he could make out.
Adrianna Crane looks around and feels like screaming at everyone to just shut the hell up, instead, following her survival instincts she turned away from the screaming mass of people and ran perpendicular to their main flow, rather than straight away from the explosion, she ran away form the massacre and the wreckage at once.
Felix gasped and got back up after nearly being crushed by the fleeing people, his knee lightly scrapped, which was bad for him. That trickle of blood he felt trailing down his leg wouldn't stop for a long, long time and he knew it. He stopped as soon as he found an alleyway and continued to watch people stream by. He was beginning to get scared.
The alley was the safest place to be in the chaos. Something huge trampled past not long after. It was as if there was an earthquake that just went right by. Those not in the alley were trampled, or nearly crushed to death. But, whatever it was seemed invisible at the time... Something was in the dust, the shadows. Or just hadn't finished making it here yet...

I do it chat only because I don't have time to keep up with a PBP version at the moment. Normally just small adventures or parts of a larger adventure/campaign. I still haven't set aside time for the next session, mainly because of many real life issues that have been keeping me from having a lot of free time.

Like mentioned before, I still wish to try this thing out. I have a Dwarven Cleric made with DnD Character Builder...
Well, I did, until my other computer died... I'll have him back by the time the campaign starts though...

Hey Vexar, is it to late to jump in, as you said that you want to continue your other adventure. I'm also slightly confused on which version you are using. The D&D 3.5e or D&D 4e?
Should there still be a spot open, do you need a specific role filled?

Seems like I'll be running the continuation of our level 2 adventure. This may turn into a campaign before you know it! Gonna do some plot development tonight.
Starting at 8 or 8:30 pm EST and will last for about 3 hours.

Yeah, I've been slammed at work recently but I'm trying to find time to continue one of our level 2 adventures, while also working on a 4e campaign.

I'm sort of bust recently and it turns out that DnD is one hell of a way of stress relief, and I can try to make time but might not be able to unless I have warning in advance. So all I ask is that We can get another date up so we can start up. The Activity has been dead for a Week!!

I'm not sure how many of you guys would be interested in maybe starting something like thsi but with 3.5e instead, It also wouldn't be quite as a casual. It's require a Atleast Weekly(Or so) Dedication and a Commitment to be able to breka a campaign down into tiny chunks!

Guys, it's so much fun! This is my first time playing DnD online of any sort, and i'm not really all that familiar with the rules/rolls/numbers n such X3. I'm loving it now that I found a Character builder that explains everything in stoopid speech. <3 If you want to play, then we'll help you make a character :> Or i'll try at least lol. It's so much fun, and Vex is such a forgiving DM <3

No experience table top-wise aside from the odd DnD based video game. Plus it seems as I have missed the deadline as well...
Looks like I'll try and hit up the next one. In the mean time, I'll read over the DnD Player's handbook and keep an eye on the IC to get a grasp as to what's going on...
And from the look of the Character list, you are in dire need of a Cleric... I'll keep that in mind.
