Chelsea Tate's Story

Chelsea walked through the doors to Von Drakken Modeling. One of the best names in fashion, known for their fabulous models. This was her one chance to make it as a model. If she didn't, that earned her a one way ticket home to North Carolina. Chelsea shook the thoughts from her head, making her long auburn hair fall over her shoulders. She checked in at the front desk, making sure that they knew she was here. She smiled and went to the waiting room where she saw another girl, whom she assumed was here for the same reasons she was. Chelsea sized her up, deciding that she was pretty enough with dark hair and fair skin. Chelsea sat down across the room from her, and smoothed down her lacy dress. She thought this dress really showed off her figure well, with a sweetheart neckline that made her bust look slightly fuller, princess seaming that lengthened her torso and a small belt cinched in her waist, creating a beautiful silhouette. Chelsea smiled as she remembered how good she looked in this dress. They were bound to love her just by looking at her.

"Chelsea Tate?" the secretary called. Chelsea smiled and stood up, smoothing down her dress once more. "Mr. Michaelson is ready for you," the secretary said pointing towards the CEO's office. Chelsea thanked the secretary and headed down the short hallway. She took one deep breath before opening the heavy door with a click. She walked in, squaring her shoulders confidently and stood in front of the desk, handing the incredibly handsome man her small portfolio.
"Chelsea Tate," she said, stating her name confidently.

Slaine looked up from his desk, as he heard his door open. He watched the girl as she walked up to his desk, and handed him her portfolio. He took it gently and opened it, peering at her first photo. He placed the portfolio down, and sat back in his chair. "It's nice to meet you Chelsea. Now tell me, what is your height and weight? And do you have any modeling experience?" He kept his eyes on her, looking over her features as he waited for her to speak.

Chelsea blinked as he asked her questions right away. "It's nice to meet you too Mr. Michaelson, I'm 5'9", weigh 118 pounds, and I've had a little bit of experience," she said rattling off the information he asked for. It was only now that Chelsea realized that he lack of experience may be a bad thing if she wanted to be recognized as a serious model.

Chelsea blinked as he asked her questions right away. "It's nice to meet you too Mr. Michaelson, I'm 5'9", weigh 118 pounds, and I've had a little bit of experience," she said rattling off the information he asked for. Slaine wrote down what she said, speaking his thought's aloud. "5'9..that could be good for runway...skinny, but well shaped..could be good for dress modeling...". He looked up at her, and eyed her hair. "What jobs have you done in the past? Pertaining to your experience, of course. Your hair..Is it natural?" He wondered what he could do with this girl. She was very pretty, but models with experience in runway and fashion were preferred.

Chelsea smiled slightly as he spoke his thoughts aloud. He seemed to like her. "I've done some modeling for a small clothing company in North Carolina, as well as an ad campaign for a local make up line," she said. She disliked referring to her life in North Carolina, but it was necessary for the future. "And my hair is completely natural," she added, remembering his last question.

Slaine smiled. "Very nice. You have little work, but I think we may be able to work around it. You are a very beautiful girl and you may go far in this industry. But never get your hope's up." He wrote down his final opinions and looked down at her portfolio. "I am going to keep this, and I will call you back tonight around 8pm. By then my decision will be decided on whether or not we can support you."

Chelsea nodded, smiling at his comments. "Thank you very much for your consideration," she said with a small, slightly flirtatious, smile. She turned and opened the heavy door to leave, letting it click behind her. She looked in on the waiting room where the girl she sat across from earlier was still there. She smiled a little too sweetly and said "good luck."
Chelsea exited the large office building and smiled as the sunshine beat down, lighting up her slightly rosy and freckled cheeks in a romantic fashion. Things were looking up for her.
