Description

Faction Structure: Republic (lead by a council)

The family known as the Lyt'harts were made up of the children of Biron Tenreo a man known as the immortal. Biron Tenreo had five children, then after they had grown up to adulthood he left; never had aged a day in a hundred years. To where is a matter of debate depending on who you talk too. In Birons time he had united the seven lands that he lived in and around forming the land Illire. On the day he left he broke the lands into five provinces. One for each of his children to rule over. The Tenreo children were as good as their father in the way they ruled and treated people. The people allowed each of the provinces to be named after each of the children: Naurry, Lyri, Melcath, Arkinon, and Erel.

Each child had an uncanny ability to start a fire where ever they went when ever they needed it. They were so charitable and successful that they taught their people everything they learned making the Illire nation prosper further. After two generations of being called Light Hearts, because of their fire ability and charity, the Tenreo's changed their name to Lyt'hart. On this day they declared that anyone who officially wanted to take their name they would be allowed to and would wield the Lyt'hart name and was awarded a banner, schooling, and warrior training. The people who did not join eventually left the lands or became lesser to the public. Although, the original line of Tenreo all had the same eye color: dark grey. In another three generations Illire was officially a force to be reckoned with among the continent.

A great conflict in Ternidal happened on the continent and it was Illire that asked the other nations to join them in an alliance to fight off a horde of enemies, but only a few of the nations joined. The alliance was successful and was a building block in the unity of Ternidal in the future. At this time Lyri's line ended when the nobility had been assassinated during the great conflict. Naurry was tasked by Erel and Melcath to become steward of the land making Lyri province forever loyal to the province of Naurry. This made the Arkinon nobility jealous of the Naurry line for inheriting Lyri instead of themselves. Eventually, the jealousy that Arkinon had of Naurry would continue. They rivaled themselves politically when the Great Kingdom was formed. After the rebellion against the kingdom was started Arkinon and Erel remained loyal to the king. Although, Erel province did not bring up arms Arkinon province did. The civil war lasted years after the fall of the great kingdom. Civil war would end and it brought on an era of peace in Illire that lasted until the war of nations began.

Social Structure:
Illire is a mixture of many different races and their thought is that everyone is not equal. Their is a code of rights that belong to everything in life, but because naturally animals don't speak anyway the humanoid beings do and plants barely move at all that they should just remain that animals and plants. If you put your skills into reading and learning then you are best to follow that way. If you are strong, quick, and don't like fighting, but you like taming animals then you should go there. Woman love to socialize and keep company while men like to go out to protect their food and goods? Then that is what they should be doing. What ever you were built for is what you should be doing. It isn't unlikely that their are strong willed folk who don't have the body to fight or stupid beings who would like to learn more. It is encouraged to go do that. After all, that is a building block in your soul that compels you to do it. Of course, if you cannot get past the tests placed for what ever it may be (whether its learning or fighting) you will be denied until you do pass the tests. Wasted talent is unheard of in Illire. This way of thinking has molded the five provinces into specifics. Mainly because all beings have needs that must be met, but also does society have needs as well to grow.

Naurry: This province has become the role model of the five provinces. Naurry carries the biggest army, has amazing architecture, and produce wise people. They also hold the mines of many kinds of minerals along with gold and silver. It is here that the Knights of Naurry remain the greatest fighting force in all of Illire.

Lyri: This is wealth of the land. This province has the biggest stretch of lands and produces the most goods and riches. This is where the council resides and rules. They also have mines of many kinds of minerals here. They host the second biggest army.

Melcath: The population of Melcath is overwhelming. This province has the biggest population. All merchants and dealers dwell in this provinces along with the most foreigners who are mostly found in the markets. Melcath holds much of the sea and they are the navy power of Illire. They do much of the trading from other lands with in the continent and out of it. They have the fourth biggest army.

Arkinon: Art and Class are taught in this province. Arkinon pride themselves above all the other provinces because of their sophistication. They had been the most powerful and well taught nation at one time, but they are only a shadow of their former self due to war and misuse. All kinds of poets, writing, paintings, drawing, architecture, ect are found here. They also gather salts and spices. They have the third biggest army and the second best soldiers of the land.

Erel: The land of knowledge. If you are a being of natural philosophy (aka science) then Erel will be home. Erel enforces the pursuit of knowledge and places it higher then anything else. They have knowledge in all things including magick and religion. To them Magick is the things that science has yet to provide proof of(future), religion is the first form of science(past), and science is the current state of knowledge(present). Not all orders in Erel think this of course. After all knowledge is just as divided as the world is. They produce much of the masons and other tradesmen of the land due to their extensive knowledge. The provinces is hidden away in a valley along with walls that is meant for protection. Erel are pacifists as province and do not have an army. They do have a guard that enforce the law and keep the peace. They are also isolationists and remain --mostly-- out of the state of affairs of the other provinces.

Military Structure:

Each province has a mixture of:
Swordsmen/Axe men
Spearmen
Long/Short bow Archer
Light armored Cavalry
and Siege crews who man ballista and/or catapults
(all depending on who the general is and what army)

Exclusive for each province:

Arkinoia Crossbowmen/Archer: The Arkinoia designed quick/strong crossbows after years of war to defend themselves, but they are also trained in Archery. Most Arkinoia Archers have one massive deformed hand and a smaller 'normal' looking hand that had kept the civil war in Illire going for years and years.

Heavy Cavalry of Melcath: With the best option of trade in the whole realm of Illire Melcath has seen fit to armor their cavalry with the best weapon and armor that can be made and bought. Like Sanguine Legion they are not restricted to just horse cavalry, but they have bred their horses to be fast and powerful non-the-less. They weld maces, long swords, spears, and even have a battalion of archers who can shoot while riding.

Pikemen of Lyri: These men are sworn to the council to guard and defend. They are hand picked by the council for their cunning with a pike and their loyalty to the nobility. The Pikemen of Lyri can be found in every province defending the nobility, but they are mostly stationed in Lyri for the protection of the council. They are trained to route out spies and assassins by the knights of Naurry.

The elite fighting force of the Knights of Naurry: The knights of Naurry are all around the most formidable fighting force in the whole nation. They are considered their own group, but when ever a war breaks out they end up taking the main host of Illires army and commanding it. They are trained in all areas taking the best of every fighting style. They are also the called the colored knights because of their different Tiers. They are all armored with their respective tiers requests and all presented a mount to which they take care of personally. Every nobility has requested to either be apart of the elite knights or has one in their house to protect them. They become the generals of war and the only province that doesn't have any among their nobility is Arkinon. What ever weapon they seem to naturally be skilled in (or become best with) they are presented with.

Colored Knights of Naurry:
Blue - Leaders and trainers
Orange- Elite
Purple - Police
Green - Stealth
Red - Standard
Yellow - Recruit

Control Structure:

It is the belief of Illire that the Lyt'hart clan be paramount and that the Tenreo family be the leaders. For that is what they have been bred to be. The Tenreo family govern the provinces themselves. The council who rule the whole of Illire are voted in by the nobility and the people, but can be veto'd by the Tenreo family. The council stay until they either step down or die or are ousted from office by Tenreo's, Nobility, or a host of the people. Becoming nobility one must own lands, have a host who serves them, must be Lyt'hart, and have two other nobility to support you and vouch for you. Otherwise you are just another Lyt'hart. Under the nobility are the masters. Example: Master of Economy, guard, military, of religion, etc..
