Name: Lyna (she prefers to be called Lyn) Tyler

Age: 7

Appearance: shoulder-long brown hair, a small, pinched mouth, and wide dark eyes. She always carries a teddy bear with her. She likes to wear knee-length dresses with no sleeves.

History: Lyn has been recently orphaned. Her parents and older brother Lukas died in a car crash a few weeks ago in New York. Lyn escaped unscathed, but still spent two weeks in hospital to check for mental scars. There were none found, and the place that she was on was bringing her to her temporary foster family in California.

Personality: Lyn is a very secretive young girl. She doesn't talk much and is instantly hostile to people who try to address her, even if they are only being nice. Above all, she hates people touching her, and goes catatonic when she is touched, even by accident. If people persist to touch while she is like this, she will lash out at them violently, often aiming for the face like the eyes or mouth when possible, and otherwise the hand that is touching her. She was like this even before losing her family, so the doctors in the hospital did not consider it more of a problem than it had been before.

She is very perceptive of people around her, and where others might not notice another person's nervousness, fear or impatience, she easily sees the signs. When she is the first to talk to someone and that person has never tried to address her before, she easily becomes friends with them, just as long as they never try to force themselves into her private space, metaphorically and literally. She is very confrontational, and will instantly face up others if she thinks their decisions or reasoning make no sense. She is very intelligent, but doesn't like to show it, which is why is mostly silent unless she feels like her input is vital, whether for individuals or the general cause. She gives a lot of importance to human emotions, and never tries to downplay things like fear; if she's afraid, she won't try to hide it on a physical level, but will never be vain or cowardly; if she's sees that someone else is scared, she'll try to comfort them and tell them that they can count on their friends.

Ring Power: her ring power allows her to become a part of all those around her. She will feel other people's emotions and hear other people's thoughts, even when she doesn't want to. This is a nightmare in crowds, and she will easily break down when there are too many people around as it basically feels like a thousand people reaching out and touching her, and she can't stand that. Given some time, she realizes that she can also influence the emotions and thoughts that she hears, and with some concentration can focus on one person and block the rest out, though she can never completely block everything.
