Eleanor's doesn't have a definitive style, as what she wears really depends on the day. Typically, she is content to wear jeans, a t-shirt with a sweatshirt over top, and black boots or Keds. Her colour choice is almost always limited to black or grey. Rarely does she wear colour and when she does, it is a darker colour such as blue or purple. She dresses casually most of the time. If she is ever dressed up it is because she's in a very good mood or she has to attend something which require that she wear something fancier. Despite her love of wearing t-shirts, she does have some cute dresses, blouses, and skirts. When formally dressed up, she prefers dresses that are simple, modest, and elegant. She's no expert at walking in heels, but she can manage.
Her use of makeup is very minimal and despite what her aunt and uncle think she does not have her ears pierced. Eleanor almost always wears a bracelet given to her by her mother. It was intended to be a birthday present for her eleventh birthday from both of her parents. The bracelet holds meaning to her not just because of this, but also because the quote has helped her get through hard times.
- When not wearing her prosthetic arm, she will do her best to hide the stump of her left wrist. She will normally keep it in her sweatshirt or coat pocket or keep it hidden in her sleeve. If it's too hot for her to be wearing an outer layer, she will keep her wrist behind her back or very close to her body.
- If Eleanor is extremely anxious about something she will run her right hand through her hair.
- Whenever she's in the car with someone other than a family member she will repeatedly ask if they are going the speed limit. If they aren't she will ask them to slow down to the limit due to her fear and anxiety associated with land vehicles. She will also make sure everyone in the car is wearing a seatbelt. Should anyone try to challenge her on it she'll remind them that she currently has a prosthetic arm because of a car accident.
- Because she walks so quietly, she has a habit of walking up behind someone and waiting quietly for them to turn around. This is either for her own amusement or because she doesn't want to interrupt whatever they are doing.
- If she gets flustered when speaking, she will make a random noise or say an unintelligible word to clear her thoughts before speaking again.

- She enjoys observing others and how they act. She also likes to listen to what they are talking about, be it of any real interest to her or not.
- Photography has been a hobby of hers for several years, stemming from her childhood when she would flip through National Geographic magazines. She thinks it's incredible how powerful an image can be whether it be a perfect landscape or a raw series about the difficulties in life.
- Elle played the violin prior to the car crash. Not wanting to give it up, she learned to use a left handed violin with a special prosthetic that allowed her to hold her bow.

|Introvert| |Observant| |Anxious| |Realist| |Loyal|
Eleanor is an introvert: reserved, thoughtful, and observant. She isn't one to start conversations with people she doesn't know. She prefers to let other come to her, but even then she finds that she is awkward and uncomfortable during the conversation. This discomfort is only exacerbated by her social anxiety and negative experiences with others in the past (usually regarding how they treated her due to her arm). Once Elle warms up to you and trusts you however, she will be more inclined to speak with you. Those who become friends with her will find that she isn't as dreary as she lets on. Instead, they will see her more open side which is friendly, humor loving, and a bit nerdy. In large group settings she feels uncomfortable because there is no much going on. She prefers to be with and talk to a few friends at a time or one on one. The only time when she is ok with being in a large group is when it involves camp competitions. Underneath the quiet girl is someone who is pretty competitive. Though she knows her team probably won't win overall, they can at least try and beat the other teams.
As an introvert Elle is very observant. She has a habit of watching and listening to others be it for enjoyment or to merely see how others interact. If she just so happens to hear a conversation going on, she will listen to it intently even if it is of no interest to her. If there are multiple conversations going on at once, she will tune into each one to get a general idea of who is talking about what. Additionally, she has a habit of observing not only the main action in front of her but also what is happening on the sidelines. If someone is performing on stage, she will look at others in the audience for their reaction to the performer in addition to watching the performance. Elle will notice the small details as much as she notices the larger things, as she's interested in what is happening around her.
Unfortunately, anxiety plagues her. Most of her anxiety is linked to the car crash she was in and the treatment she has received from others in the past. Her anxiety is most noticeable whenever she has to travel in a land vehicle with someone other than a family member. She will be adamant about everyone wearing their seatbelt and that they travel at the speed limit. In most situations, she does not vocalize her thoughts. Instead, worry creeps into her mind as she does her best not to feed it. She may act like she's fine, but inside she could be worrying about something as small as whether or not she left something on her bed or something as large as whether or not she will get struck by lightning. Eleanor rarely tells other of her anxious thoughts, as she feels most people would tell her just to stop worrying or think she's completely irrational. Anxious as she is, she tries her best not to let it get in the way of her enjoying herself and her life.
Though she used to be an optimist, Elle is now a realist. She sees things for what they are. The world can be beautiful, but it can also be cruel. There's no denying either in her mind. As such, she often grounds those around her. She does her best to bring those with their heads in the clouds back down to earth and those with their heads in the dirt back up to the surface. With this comes a tendency to be somewhat blunt about things, though this isn't meant to hurt anyone. She does this because she doesn't want anyone to be as crushed as she was when she realized the world isn't as happy is it seems.
All her life, Eleanor has been loyal and caring to those she loves and trusts. She puts 100% into her relationships with those she cares about most. She will keep any secret for her friends unless she feels that they are in danger from a mother person or themselves. In these cases, she won't hesitate to tell someone that her friend is in need of help. If someone is upset, she will do her best to make them feel better. Elle will try to give them some advice, but she isn't the best at comforting people. Despite this, she's always willing to listen to someone if they have a problem with another person or are just having a bad day. When it comes to matters of family or those of the heart, she isn't one to judge as she knows everyone is different and that these are sensitive matters.

|Happiest Memory|
Her happiest memory would be when she got her first prosthetic arm. She was 13 and it made her feel less like a freak. It was not only a way to keep the stump of her wrist hidden, but it also gave her the ability to use two hands. Though it wasn't perfect and she was still bullied, she looks back at the moment she first put it on with happiness.
|Saddest Memory|
Eleanor's saddest memory is the car crash that ended up killing her father and the day after it. She was 10 at the time. The two were on their way to pick up Eleanor's older sister from the Baltimore-Washington International Airport as she was coming home for Thanksgiving. Her father wasn't particularly happy with how slow traffic was. When they finally got out of the traffic and onto a fairly open stretch of highway, he started to go past the speed limit. He lost control of the car and ended up crashing into a guard rail. The car flipped. Elle doesn't remember being rescued from the car or the mangled state that her left hand. She was drifting in and out of consciousness as she was rushed to the emergency room. After awaking the following day, she found herself in a hospital room with a broken leg, her left hand gone, and her body aching from the impact there crash had on it. Her mother and older sister were by her bed. Elle's mother informed her of the devastating news that her father had died from his injuries. She spent most of the day crying with her mother and sister.

History|
Eleanor was born to Edward and Jillian Madden on a cool December morning. She grew up in Philadelphia alongside her older sister and younger brother. Though quiet, she was a happy child with a bright outlook on life. To her, life was playing games with her siblings, eating home cooked meals, and slipping human food to the dog when her parents weren't looking. It was a good life and she looks at her childhood with a smile.
Unfortunately, nothing gold can stay. When she was 10, Elle and her father were involved in a car accident which change her life forever. Her father died from his injuries and she had to have her left hand amputated. The weeks spent in the hospital were not happy ones. She recovered from her injuries but was left with the memories of the crash. This changed her outlook on life. Instead of being an optimistic child, she had a much darker take on the world around her.
Returning to school was a horror story for her, as the other kids would stare at her arm and asked what happened. Others would bully her about her missing hand, making her weary of others. She became even more self conscious about the stump of her wrist and did whatever she could to hide it. Her confidence got a huge boost when she received her first prosthetic arm at age 13. The arm made her feel a little bit less like a freak and gave her use of a left hand. The bullying continued but lessened through the years. Now, it's usually an arrogant asshole or someone who is insensitive who will call her names or make an inappropriate comment about her arm. Despite gaining confidence over the years and coming to accept herself more and more, she is still self conscious about showing her stump. It makes her feel feel naked an vulnerable.
The summer following the accident an 11 year old Elle was registered to attend Camp Liberty by her mother. Jillian had noticed the shift in her daughter's attitude and felt that the poor girl deserved to have a fun summer in the great outdoors. She was also hoping that her daughter would be able to meet people who would be more accepting of her than the kids in her school. Eleanor wasn't exactly thrilled by the idea, but didn't argue. She's happy that she made the decision to go, as she ended up having a lot of fun. Not wanting to put too much stress on her left leg, she refrained and was excused from participating in the physical competitions. Instead, she would watch the others and see how they acted. It also gave her the alone time she needs. She found that once she got to know the other campers, she became friends with most of them. Ever since her first year, she has been ecstatic about going to camp the next year. She always looks forward to seeing her friends and reuniting with her teammates. They've grown together and they are a second family to her.
Recently, Elle got a new prosthetic arm. This one has a much higher range of mobility than her previous one, which she thinks is great. She absolutely loves it. Its only downside is that it is a bit heavier than she is used to due to being a myoelectric arm (it has a motor and battery in it). Though she had a choice to receive a glove (a silicone covering that looks like the user's skin) in her skin tone, she chose to have a jet black glove instead. She thinks that the skin tone gloves look creepy and would rather have just the plain black glove. It may stand out more, but she's more comfortable with it. She's eager to show her new arm and hand to her friends at camp.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.
Blackbird fly Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird fly Blackbird fly

Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Close your eyes little girl
You’re a princess now
You own this world
Twirling in your twirly dress
You’re the loveliest far above the rest
You build your castles in the skies
Stars reflecting off your eyes
And angels sing on silver clouds
And no one cries screams or shouts
Oh set apart this dream
Oh set apart this dream for me
Set apart this dream for me
Close your eyes pretty girl
'Cause its easier when you brace yourself
Set your thoughts on a world far off
Where we only cry from joy
Oh set apart this dream
Oh set apart this dream for me
Set apart this dream for me
Oh lovely and beautiful
Precious and priceless
You’re so much more than you know
Heart of the purest gold
Pure clean and white snow
Clothed in such splendor
Oh what a beauty for me
Set apart this dream
Set apart this dream
Oh set apart this dream (Set apart this dream)
Oh set apart this dream for me (Set apart this dream)
Set apart this dream for me
I don't mind letting you down easy
But just give it time
If it don't hurt now then just wait, just wait a while
You're not the big fish in the pond no more
You are what they're feeding on
So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you?
So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you?
Ain't it fun living in the real world
Ain't it good being all alone
Where you're from
You might be the one who's running things
Well, you could ring anybody's bell and get what you want
You see, it's easy to ignore trouble
When you're living in a bubble
So what are you gonna do when the world don't orbit around you?
So what are you gonna do when nobody wants to fool with you?
Ain't it fun living in the real world
Ain't it good being all alone
Ain't it good to be on your own
Ain't it fun you can't count on no one
Ain't it good to be on your own
Ain't it fun you can't count on no one
Ain't it fun living in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
Ain't it fun
Ain't it fun
Baby, now you're one of us
Ain't it fun
Ain't it fun
Ain't it fun
Ain't it fun living in the real world
Ain't it good, ain't it good being all alone
Ain't it fun living in the real world
('Cause the world don't orbit around you)
Ain't it good, ain't it good being all alone (oh)
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
(Down to your mama)
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
(Don't go crying to your mama)
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
(Oh, this is the real world)
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world
(Don't go crying to your mama)
This is the real world
This is the real world
Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world

Don't go crying to your mama 'cause you're on your own in the real world

While most of the campers know that Elle was in a major car accident which caused her to lose her left hand, they do not know that the accident killed her father. She has only told her closest friends this information.
