Gar has a terrible habit of running his dominant hand through his hair at the most inopportune times, such as snacking on raspberries and accidentally getting dyed fingers in his pale hair, thus leaving dull spots of red through his bangs.

Garret has a quiet foot, so it's rather easy for him to appear in places you wouldn't expect, or disappear without anyone noticing. He disappears quite a lot for long periods of time as well, which ends up making him difficult to find about 64% of the time to anyone outside of his team.

It is common to spot him whittling a stick or piece of wood at night or whenever seated, making small animal totems or figurines. It helps calm him down after a busy day or after he's been riled up. This is probably the best time for outsiders to approach him for a request or about a need.

Garret is an incredibly thorough individual- he doesn't half-ass on the things that really come as important to him, such as his teammates and close friends. It's one of the traits that makes him a strong leader. He's always making sure that everything is in its right place and everyone is functioning normally and at peak performance. He's a strategic thinker, so it doesn't come as a surprise that it's easy for him to complete things and process information and needs like a well-oiled machine. He always makes sure his grey campers have everything they need- support, food, strength, company, a safe place, etc.

He can be quite the mother hen at times, but only when it comes to his team. He's exclusive in that way- he only opens up to the grey campers and rarely bothers with anyone else at camp. You'll really only see him smiling or laughing when he's with his team or with good friends. Otherwise he seems to be quite the stoic, mysterious individual. Uncracking and uncaring when it comes to anyone outside of his colored circle.

He's protective towards his teammates, almost overly so, but it serves as a strength that his companions find in him rather than a hindrance. It means absolute loyalty, protection on a physical and emotional level, and every need that they might have being met. This is where his genuine personality shows through- when he's with his team. Caring, gentle, bodyguard, protector. This is probably his strongest leadership quality.

For the most part, to the outside world, he is unconcerned- a calm and collected individual. However, there is no mistaking his fierce nature when it rears its ugly head. There is no forgiveness when it comes to betraying or harming one of his grey mates. With the grey team being so unpredictable and with so little known about their workings, it only takes a bit of imagination to imagine what they could and would do to protect themselves. Especially with such a clever and apparently unmerciful leader. Garret can have harsh bouts of aggression when it comes to his stable existence being upturned. Harmful pranks, overstepping lines, threatening or making his teammates cry- all of these are listed under buttons that will push a threatening, scary Garret to the surface. It's surprising that he's not in red team for this trait of his. However, it takes very specific situations to cause this side of his to appear, making it a really rare occurrence.

Because of his fierceness, he's not afraid to go above and beyond to achieve things he sets as his goals. He's self-sufficient and can become highly indignant when it comes to injustices around the camp- grey team or not. When it comes to protecting those important to him, he does have quite the confrontational side, seeking first to smooth things over with cool words and a characteristically grey style of manner. He uses wit, strengths, and advantages to make deals and settle both parties. However, should it be a physical harm or a tear shed, hell hath no power to hold him back from physically returning harm to the offender, should the need be so great.

To the general populace of the world outside grey team, one would never know the extents Garret might go to in order to protect those under his leadership. He's cool, quiet, and generally seems to be a loner type. Like most grey members, he's seen hanging out at random places around camp, leaning against trees, sitting on a bench out of the way of the main pathways, or completely absent, somewhere out in the woods or within the depths of the grey cabins. He seems rather stoic- confident, seeming to have a high status and a respect that follows him around. It's not completely unfounded, though. Garret is your go-to guy for smuggling things into camp, whether that be electronics, banned foods, alcohol, cigarettes, or something else, he can get it for you.

Grey team is well known for providing a bit of fun during bonfires and events with little to no camp staff attending. He never gets caught, and always comes through for his 'clients'. However, because of his personality and cool exterior, it can be a bit difficult to approach him, unless you obviously look like you need something special from him. Not only is he in grey team, mysterious and ghostly, but he's also the leader of it- a fact that speaks many levels on possible strong traits and ability. For shyer campers looking for something, it's easiest for them to try to locate a different member of team grey to pass a message along to the leader. This can be a rather normal occurrence, since it's rather rare to see grey team gathered together, or find any particular one of them at a given time to begin with.

Gar has a confidence about him that is obvious to anyone who spots him. The way he holds himself, deals, and the simple fact that he is grey's leader are all factors to this. He's sturdy, unafraid, and ambitious. He has the confidence to lead a group and the confidence to just be himself as well. To those that know him well, he's known to be a wee bit eccentric, but that always ends up being a factor for creating and harboring a good time. He runs a tight ship, and for the most part ensures that the grey members don't harm other campers.

|Happiest Memory|
A day in June during his 15th summer is one of his most fulfilling memories to think on. Not because it was the final year before he would be shipped off to Camp Liberty for the next three- no, Gar loves the camp- but because it was such a peaceful and fulfilling day, like everything in the universe was just right.

It was a pleasantly warm day, the kind where the sun shines down and the glow is simply absorbed into your skin. There was a nice, constant breeze, so it wasn't too hot- perfect weather for shorts and sandals. He was out in one of the bigger cities in North Dakota with friends, and everything just seemed right. The air seemed to fresher and brighter, the birds chirped more happily, the gentle spray from the nearby fountain was both refreshing and reinvigorating. They had gone out for ice-cream and to just mess around. Lots of running, tag, orange catch, hide-and-seek, and eventually a bit of a late lunch. The pavement was loud with the pattering of younger feet and the air was filled with laughter and friendly taunts.

This was one of those rare times that a person feels fully alive- completely in sync with the world around them and simply finding a great joy in it- laughter, contentedness, peace. Garret can't help but smile whenever he thinks back on this favorite memory.

|Saddest Memory|
When he got separated from his mum at age four in a wig and haircare store. It was scary as hell- everywhere he turned were the blank, crude faces of mannequin heads with wigs on. They looked fairly legit as well, so it was only more unsettling since he was basically trying to find his mom's face in a sea of fake ones. It didn't take his mom long to realize they had gotten separated, and she found her young boy sitting against one of the shelves with his arms wrapped around his body, trying not to freak out. He ran over crying to her, to which she simply chuckled and comforted him. Garret visited the shop once he was older, and could only laugh like his mother had at his fear- he had only been four, after all. He still goes often with his mom, and even almost religiously gets his silver hair dye from there.
