Time at Greyson Reformatory| His entire life.
Abilities| Geokinesis; manipulation of the earth. The extent of his powers (and the extent of his control over them) aren't known, but usage is typically of practice and for casual benefit, and he's able to generate various materials to some degree. Amethyst can also "phase" through earth, as well, simply passing through it like walking through water.
Personality| Disciplined, yet playful is a good way to describe Amethyst. He wakes up on time, no matter when he sleeps; he likes playing with animals, knowing what everyone's doing and helping people out however he can, and he joins in the games and sports the delinquents play. He doesn't have much of an idea of being close to people, as people have come and gone all the time, but he'll make friends out of anyone he can. Amy is also rather innocent â dense, even â despite being around delinquents all his life, and his awareness of the rest of the world. His perversion is practically nonexistent, he has no idea what love feels like, his morality is childishly admirable, and his emotions are best described as sympathetic; he's both hurt and cheered up easily. He doesn't know his own strength, either, and it has nothing to do with his powers as a mutant. Regardless of his horns, his smile and tears have broken more wills than mind control could hope to accomplish.
History| Amethyst was born with more than a couple deformities, compared to even his own family. He had slit, diamond-shaped pupils; his hair was shaded blue and white (with one even odder crimson lock of hair, no less), rather than the blonde of his mother or black of his father; and his genetic oddities were enough that he's grown up virtually the same as a girl, sans breasts. (He was still raised a boy anyways.) Probably more importantly, though, Amy was also born with black stone horns on either side of his head, which instantly set off a bit of an alarm in everyone else's heads. He was thought to be possessed among whatever religious peoples had seen him, but they couldn't exorcise him.
The reason why? His cries had caused isolated earthquakes as an infant. By his emotions alone, Amethyst single-handedly destroyed half of New St. Louis. (St. Louis was already half-destroyed by 2050, and New St. Louis is what became of the remainder after the war. The St. Louis Gateway Arch can only be found with much of the top missing now.) Needless to say, he was a danger to everyone and everything around him. Before he even turned one, Amy was admitted to the safest possible place on the planet: maximum security at Greyson Reformatory, where the staff could negate his destructive abilities.
Amy was raised... normally, you could say. About as normally as possible, at least, when various dangerous kids came and left on a regular basis, and he was raised on the hand-me-downs of inmates. He has a decent education, and the many criminals he's met have given him a good sense of right and wrong, and socialization. He did try to escape the Reformatory, once when he was thirteen, and it was incredibly easy (due to being raised there). However, Amy found that the rest of the world was a very unkind place by comparison. Random guys hit on him every few minutes, some religious extremists (yeah, they still exist) threw "holy water" on him, purebreds scoffed at his very existence, and even some impures located closer to first-class locations hadn't given him a second glance â he looked a bit like hellspawn passing off as human with the horns and eyes. Not even a few hours passed before he returned to Greyson, where he had some semblance of acceptance, even though he'd never met someone who was physically deformed like him.
During his life in Greyson, Amy's accumulated a sizable collection of hand-me-downs, from the clothes he wears to the myriad of things found in his room â someone taught him judo, too, so he has the brown belt that person had from when they came in. He has a widescreen PC (with a gaming system also connected to the monitor), pieces of art and prose that the inmates have made hanging up on the walls and pinned to the ceiling, and even a large, well-crafted dresser set up around the computer desk that one of the delinquents made with their own powers. His clothes are a combination of boys' and girls', and sometimes he'll wear both at once, such as a skirt between a large blouse and a pair of pants.
Overall, he believes he's lived a pretty good life, free of the troubles the rest of the world faces.
Secrets| His room is a secret, really. He phases through walls to get to it. It's so none of the inmates would think he's special or something â at least, that's what the warden says.
Fears| He isn't really afraid of much, considering the many criminals he's spent his life around. However, ridicule and insulting him will definitely hurt his feelings.
Height| 161cm (~5'3")
Build| Very, very feminine â petite. His limbs are slender, his waist is slim, his skin is smooth, and his hips are wide. His defining feature, though, is definitely the horns. Definitely.
