Positive Traits:
Animated, Entertaining, Charming, Witty, Carefree, Loyal friend

Negative Traits:
Entitled, Arrogant, Selfish, Dismissive, Demanding, Judgmental

Personality:
In Sam's mind, what distinguishes him as a Prep over an Animal, is his personality. To a lot of people, this makes little sense, considering that his behaviors tend to reflect the impulsive, have fun now and worry later mindset that a lot of the Animals possess. He, however, claims that he has class, and a lot of it. That automatically lifts him from the B-list and places him up with the A-listers, and in his opinion, it was within his own choice that he became a Prep over a Royal. He fits the bill of a Prep in a lot of ways. He possesses the mindset that he is superior than most people, be it because of their socioeconomic level, their age, or their profession. No matter how they are different from him, if their name isn't Samuel Lexington, he likely thinks he's better than them. To put it nicely, he's picky. Picky with the people he interacts with, picky with the food he allows to grace his pallet, and picky with the designers who he honors by sporting their designs. To say that his ego is inflated would be an understatement, really, because for Sam Lexington, the world completely revolves around him. He's someone who's easy to hate, and if you're sensitive, it's almost a given that you won't mesh well with him.

It wouldn't be fair to say that Sam is nothing more than a horribly selfish person who is dismissive of others and consistently puts his wants over the needs of others. Everyone has some good to them, and that goes for him as well. Aside from his style and money, Sam holds other Prep-worthy traits. He can do a superb job at tossing his crude sense of humor out the window when he feels the need to impress someone, be it a teacher, a girl's father, or a figure of authority. People like to say that he has a way with words, and a lot of times, he doesn't even have to pull the "if you don't do what I say, my daddy's going to sue you" card, because he can talk his way out of things on his own. He calls it being charming, others say it's nothing short of being manipulative, but either way, Sam would count it as a positive character trait. If you manage to take his bad traits and become his friend, he really isn't that bad of a guy. He'll be the best wingman you could ask for, and will do whatever it takes to make sure that all of his boys are hooked up with girls for the night before settling down with the beauty he found for himself. He's genuinely a good friend to the guys he's friends with and with them, is the type of person who's easy to hang out and chill with. Those who he accepts as his friends find him to be pleasant, fun and entertaining. All of his poor traits are still there, but they just don't shine as brightly.

He strays from his home as a Prep and crosses into Animal territory when it comes to his lifestyle of partying. In a way, it's nothing more than a reflection of his upbringing and the mentality that he can do whatever he wants, that he grew up having. He doesn't just enjoy partying, it's a lifestyle for him. He's reckless and careless and impulsive, but there's no disputing that Samuel Lexington knows how to have a good time, and if you show up at one of his infamous parties, you're bound to have a good time too, whether you wake up remembering it or not.

History:
No matter which side of Sam's lineage you look at, it's one of wealth, power, and less obviously, scandal. His mother, Liliane, is the great granddaughter of Liliane Bettencourt, principal shareholder of L'Oreal cosmetics, and the wealthiest woman in the world. The money is obviously there, and with money comes power, so those are a given. Scandal has tainted his mother's side of the family for a while, stemming back to the years after World War II, when it was discovered that Sam's great grandfather had poured money into the groups that supported the Nazis. At first, it was something that was easily brushed under the rug and covered up, but when Sam's grandmother was just a teenager, it reappeared in the media and in an obvious attempt to prove that the past was in the past, his grandmother was essentially forced to marry a Jewish man. It was one of those things that was a clear attempt at clearing their name from being guilty or racist. Similar to the modern day "I'm not racist because I have black friends" excuse, and most people knew it. The marriage lasted ten years and during that time frame, his mother and uncle were born. His mother was raised in France, with little contact with her father following the divorce. She went on to become a board member of L'Oreal after finishing college, and still works as that today. It was around that time that she met Sam's father, Nathaniel Lexington. Like Liliane, Nathaniel's money isn't as clean as he likes people to believe. He's the son of an oil tycoon, who passed away two years ago, leaving the fortune to him. The oil business in itself is one of the shadiest ones out there, and this American run one is no different. Nathaniel Lexington is the poster child for paying off government officials to get what he wants in the business world. Money talks, and it couldn't be truer for Nathaniel.

Neither Nathaniel nor Liliane ever dreamed of having a big family but they wanted a child to pass all of this success down to, so a few years after they married, out came Samuel. Nannies were his primary caregivers for most of his youth, because no man or woman worth billions of dollars should be bothered with changing a diaper or tending to a crying baby at three AM. It affected Nathaniel and his relationship with his parents, but it's not something that he's bitter about. They just aren't close, and since he's never known anything different, he doesn't think too deeply into the matter.

How has senior year been for you thus far?
"I shouldn't be in public school to begin with, but senior year has treated me well. Honestly, I can't say that I don't wish I wasn't back at Buckley, getting ready to spend my last year with people who actually deserve to be in my presence, but there's nothing I can do about it now. I'm just going to buckle down, get shit done, and get out of the school, all while looking good, and having a good time."
When Sam was in his freshman year of high school, his father considered running for a position on the state's Senate. He wanted more leeway for his company and being a part of the government would clearly do the trick. So, while they were in the planning stages, they decided that it would look better to the people if his son was attending a public school, just like theirs were. Sam was removed from Buckley the following year, and it was just supposed to be temporary until the race was over, but his parents never enrolled him again. Now, Sam likes to blame them for that, but really, he never pushed it. He found his place at Hollywood High School and doesn't hate it as much as he sometimes likes to say he does.

Group/Clique
Preps

How do you feel about your group/clique?
"We're the classiest kids in the school, so you can bet every dollar of your pathetic excuse of a trust fund that I'm happy here. I wouldn't want it any other way. The Royals clique is overrated right now. Too many wannabes somehow made it in, and they just aren't as elite as they used to be. Honestly, us preps have more class and dignity than them, so if anyone's weighing down the A-listers right now, it's the Royals."

Are you a part of any clubs or sports?
He plays on the swim and tennis teams.

Excreta
So, I'm not exactly new to this website. I was a member 5+ years ago when everything was "forum" based and there wasn't this whole tab system. I left when the tab system was introduced because for one, it was too confusing for me at the time, and two, most of my roleplaying friends on here were also leaving. I'm back now, but a little rusty, and also horrible at all of this coding stuff. I apologize if anything doesn't look write; please just give me time to get used to it.

Though the day was halfway finished, Samuel hadn't even graced the Hollywood High School campus with his presence yet. He wasn't cutting, and he wasn't just getting a late start to the day because he decided to take the yacht out for a morning spin or was suffering from a cruel hangover. No, Sam's reason for being late was much more typical for a high school student: he had a doctor's appointment. An eye doctor appointment, to be more specific. Few people would even know that he had terrible vision, considering that he always wore contacts, but he did, and today he had an appointment to update his prescription. It was nothing major, but he took his sweet time in the office, and then made pit stops at both a local cafe for a sandwich, and then Starbucks for a shaken sweet tea lemonade that he took to school with him. His mother had already notified the school that he would be coming in late, so he only had to make a quick stop at the front office to drop off the slip from his doctor before getting a late pass to class. Then, he was off to physics class. With his lemonade in hand, he walked at a casual pace through the halls and towards the science wing. He was in no rush to sit through a period of physics, and plus, the slower he walked, the more people he passed, and the more people who would be reminded of his impeccable style and overall lifestyle. His twin day outfit was something he would tell you was nothing special. It was a classic preppy, Sam look that he and fellow prep Ted had chosen. They didn't want to go all out, taking on some comical costume or even one that was themed, but irrelevant to them. They opted to keep it classy, because that was what they were all about. Or so that wanted people to believe.

"Wow, perfect tim-" As Samuel turned into the science wing, he spotted Normani leaving their classroom and heading further down the hall towards the other rooms. He didn't catch a glimpse of her face, which he didn't particularly mind because... well, damn!, but that also meant that he didn't see the emotion that she was feeling either. So, he expected she'd stop, he'd be able to unleash some comment about how it was perfect timing that he caught her outside, because he'd get to admire her up close and personal. She didn't even stop or look at him as she hurried past with Lauren in tow, so he just scoffed and continued into the physics class. Typical Mani! Sam didn't take it personally though. He'd hit on her later when she wasn't in the bitchy mood that she was apparently in. As he walked in, Mr. Kennedy was just getting the class back under control after the minor scene that Sam had missed, and the greying man motioned Sam over to an already formed group on the other side of the room. "Nice of you to join us, Mr. Lexington. Why don't you join William, Tara and Abby over here? They could use a fourth person." Though normally, he automatically would have headed to the opposite side of the classroom where the more popular kids (and Ian) sat, he wasn't an Animal and wasn't going to backtalk the teacher.

Only seconds after joining the group, Sam was included in all of the chatter that was going on while Mr. Kennedy thought they were working. According to Will, his friend from the AP physics class texted him saying that Chad, Anthony and Honey had gotten into a fist fight. The thought was baffling to Sam, who was in the same clique as Chad... and well, Chad was not the guy he expected to be fighting. Preps in general weren't that type, at least not in school, and not when they were sober. At least in Sam's case, when he poisoned his blood with alcohol, his temper grew way too short and if someone even looked at him wrong, he could start throwing punches and claiming that his father would sue if they dared to hit him back. Chad wasn't like that, though. In fact, he often got slack for being too nice and patient and controlled. He was the last guy Sam would ever imagine getting into a fight, especially with a guy like Anthony, who Sam knew would easily use his fists to back up his words. Though it was surprising, the news made Sam smirk, especially when he found out that it was because he was defending his girl. What a dog, he thought, deciding that Chad had just moved up a step in his book.

Normani was unyielding when the group entered the nurse's office first, not even allowing Anthony to take a step inside. He stared her down for only a second before her steely gaze sent him right down the hall. He could lick his wounds like a little bitch when he was at home, but she would be damned if he was allowed to come into the nurse's office. Of course, all under the guise that "We wouldn't want to increase the likelihood of a second round in one of the neatest rooms in the entire building" just to get the nurse to stop giving her a bitch face just for being there. Not that Normani planned to stay the entire time or even walk the couple to the main office. She had class and Chris, despite having class, probably wasn't going to head back so late in the period. She didn't respond to Honey's exclamation about people considering her white trash or even that Olivia would try to get Hailey to replace Honey as a royal. Nobody replaced anyone without the final decision being left to Normani. And it would be a cold day in hell before she EVER allowed some random chick to suddenly be considered one of her besties, which was what all - or at least, the majority - of the Royals were. Best friends to their liege. It just so happened that Normani was the only one who was actually in power and again, she would be damned.

While Normani and Chris lingered by the opening of the nurse's office, Chad sat, feeling more guilty about being in trouble than for what he had done to actually get in trouble, hating the way the alcohol burned again his skin. The corner of his mouth quirked, instinctively, at Honey remarking that they would look badass. He also, shoving away his earlier frustration, did not hesitate in kissing her back regardless of the cough from the nurse. "Really, you two?" She snapped and finally, Honey pulled away so that the older woman could get a better inspection of him. Which only made him groan. "Cat..." he began in the middle of her plea to Normani, but Normani turned to him a sharp stare. "Shut it, Boy Scout." He could only bristle at her for the nickname, a rarity in and of itself unless she said it with a grin. "Just...wanted to tell her not to talk about herself like that," he said quietly, though the other three could hear him clearly. Normani just ignored it and Chris smirked lightly.

"Done," Normani finally said and shared a small look with Chris to which he only nodded. "Keep me posted on what the deliberation is and don't forget, beach party tomorrow." Hugging her bestie quickly, Normani finally tossed a gentle smile Chad's way. "Try not to take on any more missions, Batman. You don't have your trusty sidekick anymore." Finished with her partings, Normani headed back to class, but not without asking for a pass from the nurse. Chris nodded to Honey tensely, forgetting all about his typical flirtatious remarks in favor of turning to his own best friend. "Don't worry about a thing, Chad. We'll get it straightened out."

Location: Hollywood High School: Cafeteria ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Devious

By the time the senior lunch period came around, most students were ready to go home. Particularly Normani who was already done with the excitement of the day. As soon as she made it out of her Physics class with Olivia and the others, she instructed all of her followers to find every hint of footage from the fight and delete them, sending each and every proof to her as a means to confirm that they all had been deleted elsewhere. It took until their lunch period, but it was enough to appease her mind. Once she got from cheer practice (which, for only the third time in her entire all-star cheerleading career that she actually did not want to go), she could place all of the footage on a single flash drive that she could hide unless she found a way to use it against Anthony in the near or later future. If he knew any better, he would make it later. Much, much later. Afterwards, she finalized the tweets and Snaps about her throwing a beach party for tomorrow since that was the next Spirit Week theme, a means of distraction for everyone else. Small moves, but enough to get the - for lack of better terms - "lesser" students to think about something else. However, despite the tame quality to her latest machinations, Normani was not done with Anthony. She made a promise and she was going to bury the situation. But before then, she sent out a few text messages.

To: Danny
Study date 2nite or nah?

To: Honey

To: Angel, Camila, Chelsea
Don't forget ur cheer candy duties 2day

To: Liv, Kat
Headin 2 caf now

"I pretty much convinced coach already to bench him for the rest of the semester," Chris explained as they stepped into the cafeteria together. Normani normally made an entrance with her girls and she was going to spot them soon enough, but she had immediately run up on Christian the second she got out of eighth period. "He's pretty much fucked for the year. Coaches can't scout a bench-warmer." Normani was not satisfied. As anyone knew, messing with someone she cared about was one of the biggest mistakes a person could make. She was the one who stayed on top of any and everything. She had more dirt on the student body than a child wearing white tennis shoes on the baseball field did, and that was saying something. Despite her own band of followers, Normani received intel from students just begging to be acknowledged by her, even though she was privy to greeting all of her subjects. And that's what the students were at the moment - subjects. And she had a lesson to teach them - even if it meant making an example out of Anthony McLaughlin.

"Well, I want more," she said quickly, a hand on Christian's chest so that he wouldn't step any further into the line formed where the food was being served. She seemed to take her time in allowing her eyes to rake up Christian's muscled form before meeting his gaze. Which had his palms feeling suddenly more warm than they needed to be. He was nervous. He couldn't tell if Normani actually liked what she saw or was simply mulling over how to destroy him. Somehow, he thought it was both. "What I want is to make sure that the next time a no-neck fucker lays a hand on one of mine, the only thing on his mind is the cold chill of fear for how much more hurt he's gonna be than them." Christian didn't react for a moment, just because he couldn't read Normani. She rarely asked for violence and the other jocks could do so; they've done so. But she has never asked for it before. However, a small smirk flitted across his face as he stared down at his suddenly - though, not unsurprisingly so - sexy ex-girlfriend. "Playing with the dark side, aren't you Mani?" She shouldn't be influencing his flirtation, but that didn't stop Normani from discreetly playing with the lapels of Christian's jacket before allowing those same slender fingers to trail up his firm, covered chest. She paid no mind to the classmate nearby who had to gawk at the very obvious seduction. "Oh, baby, this ain't dark. Dark is my making it so that your boy Tony can never walk the halls of HHS ever again," she practically purred, batting her thick lashes up at him only for a moment before grinning and leading Christian over to the line.

"But see, he'll walk. I want him to, but only to gain the satisfaction of knowing that for every step he takes down a hallway, there's fear. And he remembers that the next time he steps out of the line I placed him in, there won't be mercy. I protect what is mine - we protect what is ours." It was a bold move, using them as a "we" when she had made it clear that she was not going to call Christian her man nor her King. However, stroking his ego just enough with the same amount of flirtation got the job done because his gorgeous eyes flashed hungrily before his smirk turned into a wolfish grin. "Consider it done." Normani only smiled brightly, ruffled his hair and then leaned up to kiss him on the cheek swiftly. "Thanks, babe." Ready to step away, Normani settled her gaze on the same classmate that eyed them in surprise and offered them the sweetest of smiles as she said, "You might wanna pick up your jaw off the ground, honey. You might choke on all the flies swarming around ya."

Satisfied, Normani eyed the cafeteria for her crew and found Liv and Kat entering the large room. Luckily for her, she was not one of the cheerleaders who had to run the Cheer Candy fundraiser today. They had a schedule and she had already manned it with a few choice cheerleaders yesterday, and would do so again on Friday. So, she had no need to rush over to her girls, though she stole a picture of them in the process of keeping an eye out for her crew. She would post it on Instagram later during the evening and send it to the chronicle for pics of the week. She made it her mission to traipse over to them, the naturally seductive sway in her hips a sight for sore eyes as she finally Kat and Liv. "Let's go put in our final Homecoming Prince and Princess, and then eat outside. Clifton's bringing our orders from Health Nut in five and it actually feels great out there right now. Besides, I've been in this building too long and I'm suffocating."

Twin Day Outfit ♕ Location: Hollywood High School: Cafeteria ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Ebullient

Normani caught Liv's smirk at her blatant display of haughtiness and only grinned in response, linking arms with both the blonde and the brunette with herself in the middle. She ended up coughing on a chortle, however, the second Katherine started questioning her, and Normani tossed the brunette an amused stare. "Well then, lucky for you, Honey doesn't need a nose job, babe. She wasn't the one who got popped in the nose. That imbecile was." Normani wouldn't even let the fucker's name cross her lips, she was so upset with him. And yes, she was being just a bit unjustifiably upset with him. It had been a knee-jerk reaction; you get hit and you hit back, and jocks were more prone to such actions. However, at the end of the day, he could take a hit. And Honey probably could too, but the point was that girls already had to deal with blatant verbal sexual abuse on a regular basis what with teachers only gently tapping the boys' hands like they were five and didn't know any better. She would be damned if she didn't make a stand against that in some way. More importantly, two of her best friends were harmed. You get no forgiveness from that.

"And she hit him because the asshole kept making derisive commentary about her like he was trying to throw it in Chad's face that he wanted to bang her," Normani went on to explain as she pulled the girls along to the Student Government table to put in their nominations, ignoring the pang of not seeing Chad where he was supposed to be as student body president all because he wanted to be a good boyfriend and shit. Which wasn't a problem, but still. "Moral of the story, don't fuck with another guy's girl and you won't get your shit busted in the middle of your classroom by the one guy nobody would've thought had a smooth left hook. Not that that isn't the least of his worries because it is." She didn't explain what she meant and her eyes darkened only for a moment before she grinned at the secretary, Danielle, and treasurer, Lawrence. "Hello, my loves. Just putting in our votes." Danielle immediately perked up and leaned on the designated table with her elbows, a wide, shy smile crossing her round face. "Hey, Mani. I just voted for you. Did it twice, but we don't gotta tell nobody." Normani giggled right along with her as she took up the small sheet of paper that served as the ballot, winking co-conspiratorially as she placed a finger before her full lips. "Secret's safe with me, doll."

While she checked off the people she wanted to be in the running, marking herself as number two in who she wanted to win, she heard a very familiar voice. And while Taylor couldn't see her face at first, Danielle and Lawrence could, and Normani made a show of being disinterested with an appropriate eye roll that made them both chuckle. Not bothering to grin again, Normani peeked over her shoulder at the male, whipping some of her dark hair back over her shoulder to get a better look at him. Contrary to popular belief, Normani didn't not like Taylor. That would be too dismissive and she only dismissed the people she did not like. At the same time, they weren't friends and he technically wasn't one of them. She knew she could end the whole debate right then and there, and declare him a Royal if she so chose. But that was the point - she didn't choose. Taylor just automatically assumed that when he claimed the role, the school would accept it. And that was not the way it was going to work and she wouldn't acknowledge him as king. Or anything, other than a fellow classmate and a human being.

"What happened was that a situation had come up and now it has been handled and people are over it," she explained rather simply, though her words were purposefully cryptic. It was over. Normani made sure that it was over and once she ended something, it was over. If you didn't catch wind of it before, then you were shit out of luck. So she managed a sweet little smile for him. "Nothing to worry your pretty little head over, doll. Chaddy's gonna be fine, just grounded for the next two days is all." Normani waited for her girls to finish up with their ballads before sliding hers into the box and then turned fully to face him, having to look up a little at Taylor since...well, let's be real, she definitely was not on the tall side of life. And only because she didn't wear her heels today. "A party. I have a party to finish planning for tomorrow. Arabian Nights themed, to be exact. Starts at 4. Rules and such have already been sent in a mass text, you really should keep up to date with things." Normani added the last bit of condescencion with a tilt of her head and a knowing quirk of her lips. Call it tough love, if you will, but she believed that if Taylor wanted to make himself a Royal, then he needed to know how to know the ins and outs of being one. And that meant being on top of every party detail the A-Listers put out. Which any A-Lister would know.

If they were an A-Lister.

Finally, her phone buzzed, signalling that her driver had arrived with their food and Normani turned her attention, effectively dismissing Taylor, back to her friends. "Ready, ladies? Clifton's outside and my stomach is like, two point two seconds away from making actual noises right now and we have to talk about colors."

Chad may have been a little bit of a bitch; he could accept that. He balked when Normani practically snapped at him, though he figured - after she left - that it came from a place of actual concern, and not anger directed towards him. She wasn't good at the whole baby-let-me-hold-you unless she felt absolutely helpless, so he had taken her tough love earlier like a champ. Offered barely a hint of rebuttal. Didn't even bother gently coaxing her into not going after Tony like he normally would because it was unnecessary and they were going to get punished anyway (and no, there was not a part of him that reveled in knowing that Mani was planning something). But now, sitting in the receptionist's office waiting for the principal to call him and Honey in, he really did feel like the little bitch Chris joked that he acted like sometimes. Like, not because he was feeling that guilt - even though he was because, hello, fucking honor roll student of the year here, thank you! No, it was because while there was guilt, there wasn't and that was Chad's problem. He was usually so much more in tune with his feelings. He might not officially verbalize them or anything, but he at least was able to talk himself through things. Or out of them, if you asked the important people in his life.

The point was while there was guilt and shame for actually being sent to the principal's office only the second time in his entire primary education career - there was still anger. A bit of male satisfaction after having successfully gotten through his official first fight with less scraps and bruises than the other guy (take that, Chris, he wasn't that much of a little bitch, thank you very much), a bit of possessiveness because umm, who the fuck ever told anyone to put a bruise on his girl's face? And just...all of those things inside of a guy who did not process too many feelings at once and it left him ready to leave, regardless of what the outcome of the meeting was.

But first thing's first: Honey needed to stop. Gathering her face in between his hands, Chad leaned over and silenced her litany of apologizes with a firm kiss, pulling away only when he heard someone's throat clear up. "Hey, this isn't your fault. Not blaming you in any way, okay?" And no, Chad did not feel a hot flame of shame wash over him at the look the principal shot his way when they finally made it to the office to hear their sentencing. Which wasn't too bad considering both Rick and Chris had gotten heavier for near similar situations. Though, to be fair, Chad's opponent was not knocked unconscious like in Chris' case or rushed to the hospital, like with Rick. So, that was probably another factor into why he was getting off easily. However, it also meant that his mom was getting a call and Suzanne Shanks was not a happy camper when it came to her kids. The last time his mom had actually been upset with him was because of the freshman year prank and that was because of a lot of different factors, such as her black child in a predominantly white neighborhood where they were prone to judge at the first sign of any person of color doing any one wrong thing in front of their privileged little white angel. But, of course, Suzanne was too classy to call someone out on that and Chad, at the time, just wanted to be able to play his video games again.

Soon, he and Honey had separated only for him to make sure that his fellow SGA members would be able to handle the partnership with the dance committee for the final touches for Homecoming, not to mention getting his assignments for the next two days. And so what if it made him every much an overachieving prep as the next? He didn't get the highest GPA in his class for nothing. It gave him some time to hit up some friends, just to get back with people.

To: Sam
Ur a mess. But thanks. Suspended 4 2 days, btw. C u at Mani's party 2morrow.

To: Tyler, Taylor, Raquel
Going MIA 4 a bit. U guys ok?

To: Chris
Don't go 2 far w/ watever u & Mani r planning

Finally, Chad was outside and loading his stuff into his car when Honey came over, a small frown marring her face. Knowing her, she was still feeling guilty, a though confirmed only by her asking if she could be Catalina. Who was nearly entirely different from Honey, but only by so much. Calmer, sweeter and a hell of a lot more passive than Honey actually was. Which made Chad smile and accept her embrace, wrapping his long arms around the shorter girl and bury his nose in her hair. "Let's go home then," he obliged with a small peck on her lips, before gathering her things so they could head to his house.

Jameson ended his first eight periods with a ton of assignments, so he knew that it would benefit him more to just go home after eighth period. The social side of him made him want to flock to the cafeteria with the rest of the Royals, or even catch up with some jocks and head to the pizzeria down the block, but he was being surprisingly responsible today. He decided to go home and take the extra hour to work on his assignments because he knew that come tomorrow, with Mani's party and all of that, there was no way that he was going to have the drive to do a single assignment, no matter how heavy it weighed in his class average.

As he headed out to the parking lot, he passed by some Hipster asking another one to homecoming, and it reminded him of his dilemma with Olivia. She (and Normani) had refused to give him a real answer on whether she would come with him or not. A lot of the Royal guys told him that he was friendzoned, and that if she hadn't directly said yes at this point, then he should just take it as a no and ask another girl. It wasn't like James didn't have any other options. There were Preps that would go with him, probably some cheerleaders, or if he wanted to have a fun night, certainly an Animal or two would be willing too. He didn't want any other option, though. This was his senior year, and he'd be damned if he ended up going with someone he didn't actually care about! Besides, he didn't see why Olivia wouldn't go with him in the first place. They were close friends, so it wasn't like she could claim that they wouldn't have a good time together. She had to know that he would be willing to wear any color bow tie or tie that she wanted to match her dress. Maybe she didn't know this as much, but he'd drop his funny guy, never-serious act too if that was what she wanted. He thought it was obvious that he wanted something serious with Liv, so wasn't it clear that he could be a serious man if she thought he was too childish at this point? He hoped so, but the doubt in his mind had him sending out a couple of texts before he pulled out of the high school's parking lot.

To: Olivia
Seriously, Liv! Will you go with me Saturday? I promise I'll think of some extra cheesy way to ask you for the classic Instagram post

To: Katherine, Normani
Tell Liv to come to homecoming w me............................

To: Chris, Lennox, Sam, Chad, Val, Tray, Taylor
Just a heads up that I asked Olivia to Homecoming and she said yes... so one less girl on the market for you guys. Good luck.

The Preps rarely ever ate in the cafeteria. Most of the time, they didn't stay on campus during ninth period, but if they did, they would eat in the courtyard. Today, most of them traveled off campus, and once they sorted out the plans, Sam left with three other preps, Cody, Julie and Devin in his Range Rover. They were head tho The Rooftop Grill at The Montage Hotel, a spot that Sam felt was decent for lunch. He was in the mood for their organic roasted chicken breast meal, so when Cody insisted on it, he didn't object. However, as they boarded into his car, he sent out an invitation to a few non-preps, and the one prep who has shocked the world by getting suspended.

To: Chad
Prove your wounds aren't that bad and come grab food w the crew at The Montage. Tell Honey to come too!

To: Chris
Trade in ur football jersey for a dress shirt for an hour and come eat at The Montage man

To: Jameson, Lennox, Taylor, Trayson
Eating w some ppl at The Montage if you're hungry and friendless, which wouldn't surprise me

He did intentionally keep Chris out of the group message that went out to Taylor, Jameson, Lennox and Trayson. Not only was he close with Chris, and already had a single chat with him that didn't take too much scrolling to find, but he also knew it wasn't smart to include him in the same chat as Taylor. Calling them not friends seemed like an understatement this year, with both guys vying for the top male seat in Hollywood High School's social hierarchy. Before driving, he couldn't resist sending a text to Angelina, who he was heavily considering finally sealing the deal with this weekend, and sleeping with. It wasn't like the ball was in his court that much, where he could just declare he wanted to fuck her and it would magically happen, but it just seemed like something that would happen eventually. He was sure that once he turned on the charm, it would happen. It wasn't like they hadn't gotten close before. He also decided to response to the group chat that Jameson had started earlier with most of the A-list guys, and send a text to Normani and Catalina.

To: Angelina
I want to pregame with you and your girls tomorrow ;). You're coming to Mani's. Meet at my house. No buts.

To: Normani
SMH I don't even get an apology for you ignoring me today in the science wing? Hurting my feelings over here, Mani.

To: Catalina
You corrupting my boy lol? If so, I approve.

To: Chris, Lennox, Jameson, Chad, Val, Tray, Taylor
Damn, alright, Blondie's outta the pool. Who else do we have that's fair game? Lol Taylor didn't you dress up as a minion with that girl? She your date? #score

He knew that it was Taylor's twin who had dressed up as a minion with Raquel, but especially with Chris in the chat, he figured that making fun of him a bit would lighten the mood, even if he meant it harmlessly.

The term bat shit crazy is something that was roaming the halls of Hollywood High like a virus. Whispers among students had grown ten-fold and it seemed that no one cared about keeping their thoughts and opinions to themselves. The whispers had grown to fully audible murmurs that resonated through the halls of the high school. Everyone seemed to had lost their mind in a matter of a seven-hour day. It was quite terrifying actually how quickly everyone had turned on each other and the school year had barely even begun.

Tension was high between everyone. Friends seemed to be turning on each other as though there was a disgusting plague that infested everybody. Seemingly, true emotions and opinions were coming out once and for all and everyone seemed to be acting upon them. And the tension was so thick, it created a fog that clouded everyone’s judgement. Fights were breaking out; friendships were breaking; the day was a complete disaster.

Both Lennox and Tray knew little of what was going on around them. Tray knew just enough of what had happened because Honey had sent out a text, to him included, explaining what happened. He was a little shocked to hear about what happened, but he can’t say he was all that surprised. Honey wasn’t the type of person to sit around and let shit happen to her. She’d fight back with all her might, and Chad… well, Chad wouldn’t let anything happen to Honey. It seemed as though everything in the world was happening today.
Lennox received a text that infuriated him to a certain degree. Did James actually think that Lennox would believe that Olivia would say yes to him? The girl was not that desperate for a date to say yes to James Page. Not that James Page was a bad guy to like, but above Lennox Atwood? That simply wasn’t a thing that he would let happen. He disregarded the text entirely with the roll of his eyes and sent a text back to James and the group.

To: Chris, James, Sam, Chad, Val, Taylor
Sure ya did bud, have fun with that

Lennox knew he was running out of time. If James really did ask Olivia out to the dance, he’d want to hear it from her. He figured the best way to get the answer out of her was to send her a text, so he scrolled through his phone until he found Olivia’s name and sent her a text.

To: Liv
Liv! Heard the news, congrats on getting asked to the dance by Jimmy James!!

Perhaps Lennox was messing with the bull in this situation, but he was going to wait for the horns to come his way before he packed away from this fight. Knox truly believes there’s no one else more worthy for Olivia than him. It’s entirely an irrational thought but Knox refuses to believe anything else. The pedestal is high for Lennox this time. Lennox made his way around campus looking for his friends before his phone went off again with a few texts from Sam. He never understood why Sam insisted on being friends with everyone and inviting everyone to everything. More particularly he didn’t get Sam’s friendship with Tray.

Tray’s day was as busy as always. His friends were starting brawls with other people and tension was rising hour by hour. Before he knew it the entire Royals Class had created issues within the clique and the drama was quickly ensuing. Tray did his best to stay out of the trouble. He didn’t like getting involved in other people’s problems to begin with, but even more than that he didn’t like to be at any root of trouble. He had too much at stake to get involved in anything that caused suspensions or the likes of such. When the text came from Honey, it made Tray chuckle to himself. Mostly out of amusement of the fact that Honey tried to fight a guy. He didn’t expect Anthony to punch back though – didn’t take him for a woman beater but Anthony always has been the type of guy Tray kept his distance from.

The day went on seemingly fast, however. Tray barely had enough time to round Fergus together to help him with his plan. In between classes, however, the two would meet in the class to pass notes, plans, and ideas. Tray’s idea was to create a promposal for Raquel out in the parking lot. He wanted it to be something cute but not too over the top. The two weren’t dating after all, but perhaps this could have been the segway into that relationship.

Tray skipped two of his classes today in order to get everything together for his asking Raquel to homecoming. He went out and got a few bouquets of roses and used those to write out Homecoming? right in front of her car. He recruited the help of Fergus to stand by and watch the roses to make sure nothing happened to them. At lunch time, Tray met up with Raquel once again. The teasing was cute but Tray just wanted Raquel out in the parking lot so she could see the message Tray left for her. “So why not head out there? We should take your car Raq.” Tray smiled and winked back at her as he joined Raquel and Tyler out to the parking lot.

Twin Day Outfit ♕ Location: Hollywood High School: Cafeteria ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Ebullient

Even if Katherine had glared at her, which she was very smart in not doing, Normani did not pay the brunette a mind. In the time it took Katherine to grab her bag and storm away much like a tiny Katherine would have done in a fit that her nanny didn't want to give her her every second of the hour, Normani had taken a few more bites of her salad, still staring expectantly at Liv. Hell, the way she looked at Liv suggested that she had not even - in the slightest - just snapped at one of her best friends with the rage of a cat in heat. Or at least a more ferocious being. The point is that Normani did not offer Katherine a reaction and the only time an emotion appeared on her face again was when Liv laughed, causing the dark-skinned beauty to grin sheepishly with her lips wrapped around her straw.

"They don't call me a bipolar bitch for nothing," she remarked nonchalantly only a beat later, idly brushing her fork over what was left in her container. "Also, I can't help that your friend thinks she's an exception to the rules. Don't talk about my friends and I won't tear your ass to shreds. She'll get over it within the next hour." Normani was not concerned with Katherine's mood. In fact, the brunette could go the entire evening without speaking to her and Normani wouldn't feel a thing. Not that she didn't normally feel slightly guilty when she knew she hurt Katherine's feelings, but she couldn't feel much sympathy at the moment. She did not say anything horrible about Katherine at all. It was about Hailey. So, if the brunette wanted to be in her feelings, that was fine with Normani. By the time she got some of the delicious Italian dinner that would be awaiting her after cheer practice and finally got into the sweats she liked wearing, Normani wouldn't be thinking of anyone or anything. Besides, if Liv had to deal with any of Katherine's lasting bitch-fests, it would be Liv's own fault. She could always shut shit down like she did Jameson earlier.

Back to the present, Normani had to roll her eyes at the sarcastic way Olivia brought Daniel into the conversation, resting her elbows onto the table so that she could rest her chin in her hands leisurely. "While I will ignore the part where you didn't acknowledge the crux of my asking about James, I will say that I don't know about Danny right now." She answered honestly, with a small smirk on her lips that remained only briefly. "To be quite honest, I don't know if this is just some phase for me and I'll get over...whatever this is for Daniel...or..." Normani shook her head before painting on a smile, finally acknowledging her phone and the countless texts she had received, not just from her friends but from several informants. "Either way, I cannot wait until I figure out my dress. Won't matter who the hell I show up with if my dress ain't on point."

Since Kat seemed to struggle with a lot of subjects, it wasn't unbelievable that she would look so bothered over a math exam. "Ugh, I'm sure you didn't do as bad as you think you did," Hailey tried to reassure her, but it was hard to sound sincere when they both knew that she probably didn't do well either. Though Hailey felt bad that Kat struggled that much with school, she also couldn't find it in her to really feel bad for her. The brunette probably could put in more effort, and more-so, everyone knew that being unintelligent wasn't going to hinder Kat from succeeding in life. Her modelling career was definitely ahead of Hailey's at this point, and she was probably a few legs up in the game over Olivia too. Even if all of that suddenly failed, her dad was loaded, so it wasn't like Kat was looking at living in a cardboard box for the next seventy years if she didn't get an acceptance letter from Harvard. "And I didn't drive, but I think my friend's gonna give us a ride, so you can tell the evil stepmother to return to her fortress," she responded teasingly. Again, she still didn't name that friend because she really did want to hang out with Katherine... and Jada. Could she get the best of both worlds? She doubted it, but she also wasn't going to cancel on one of them to hang out with the other.

Checking her phone, she found a text from Samuel Lexington, reading, "i'm headed to the montage with some people if you and your girls are bored, but let's do dinner tonight. only if angel's free, since you know i'm not about to hang out with you and jada unless my girl's there ;)". Hailey didn't dislike Sam, but he was an ass most of the time. He sat on his high horse and thought he was better than everyone else, especially the Animals, and yet whenever he got drunk, it was them who he was most interested in partying with, because he knew they were the most fun.

For some reason, Sam seemed to actually accept Angelina over the other Animals. Normally, Preps and Animals didn't mesh that well. Both of them enjoyed a good party here and there, but their standards were almost opposites. While the Animals could have an amazing night on just kegs and cheap vodka if that was all they had, the Preps would be offended if someone even thought that they would drink beer from a can. Animals were wild and scandalous, rarely conforming to social standards, while the Preps were the epitome of class and perfection. It was hard to think of it as being true, especially to Hailey who had only known her as an Animal, but Angelina was once a Prep, and Hailey supposed that was where the connection came from. Still, it wasn't like Angel was friends with the majority of the other Preps, or even any A-listers at this point. From what she had heard from Jada, when shit when down with her family, she cut ties with everyone and embraced her Animal side. It was a fall from grace, some said, but Hailey didn't understand why Sam still thought her to be higher than other Animals, like her or Jada, if everyone else apparently shunned Angel now more than an average Animal. It didn't bother her, just made her curious. Sam was a pretty attractive guy, and if she didn't know his posh side, she'd be impressed at the rages he sometimes threw, but it made her wonder if he and Angel had a past. Or maybe a future. It didn't seem like Angel and Christian were going to flourish into anything since Angel refused to speak of it in public, and she and Jada were basically sworn to secrecy when Angel came clean to it about them.

To: Angel
are you and christian going to homecoming or is that still an absolute no? bc sam wants us to do dinner with him tonight but only if you're gonna come :O

She was going to text Jada too to tell her about Sam's less-than-kind invitation, when the girl beat her to it and appeared. And as soon as she did, Hailey could feel the tension between her and Katherine. Why can't everyone be friends?!, she groaned internally as she looked at Jada with a smile, hoping to soften her as she clutched Kat's hand to make sure that the brunette couldn't leave. "We're ready," she said. "Tell someone to bring a bathing suit for you to Kat's house. Let's go there."

Outfit || Location: Normani Devereux's Home || Theme Song || Mood: Optimistic

"I love you...I do. I know...I-I-I know I don't say it often enough, but never doubt that. And never doubt that I don't blame you for earlier - for any of this. I just...you want to be Catalina right now and I just wanna forget that the last few hours just happened. Can we do that?"

That was what Chad had had to say about the situation yesterday and that was honestly how he wanted to leave it for now. While the reasonable and logical human being inside of him understood the importance of having the conversation his girlfriend had been trying to conduct, a rather petulant version of himself - which had taken on the outer visage that Catalina had to confront - was adamant to leave it where it was. Yesterday. Or...well, at the time, it had been earlier in the day yesterday, but now he was definitely not in the mood to confront the events of the day before. No, he wanted to actually enjoy a party. He wanted to drink (and did Chadwick Arsenault drink often? Abso-fucking-lutely not, but he was gonna do it today!) and laugh at some of his classmates (because knowing Chris' goofy ass, he would be the main one trying to belly-dance) trying to belly-dance, maybe even partake in some hookah. Who knew? The point was that no, he did not want to talk. No, he did not want to acknowledge the rage at which he had attacked Tony. That also meant not wanting Honey to change, in any way since he had fallen in love with her for being herself, not because he wanted to eventually change who that person was. Kinda defeated the purpose, if you asked him.

Of course, that meant asking him and he wasn't even answering his own girlfriend, so...shit out of luck going once...twice...sold and totally forgotten.

Which was good for him because soon enough he was parking a little down the street from Normani's home. It shouldn't have been a surprise that after only thirty minutes of her Arabian Nights themed beach party that the party was already all over social media with people posting pics of themselves with Hijabs (which a few of the Muslim and Arabic students had been privy to not doing because of reasons), henna tattoos, hookah vapors all around them, and going on and on about how great the party was. Hell, he could hear the music from where he was helping Honey out of the car. If Normani never made it in the fashion industry, as Chad had told her several times over, she could easily go into event planning because she never held back with a party. Plus, she had chosen a great venue considering there was ample space between her home and others, with her only being connected to the nearby few through the sandy pathway leading from the back of her home down to the beach where a few smaller homes were situated.

Once Honey was out, he linked hands with his girlfriend and made their way closer to the house, bumping fists (totally random, mind you since he could only recognize the guys from a guy classes and definitely not by name) with a few guys and waving at some female classmates. Seeing everyone else go a certain path while others stood around in the beautiful lawn with cups in their hands and conversing, he turned to his girlfriend with a small smile. "Mani's probably still upstairs beautifying herself, or so she would say. Do you want to go wait for her or head down to the beach with everyone else?"

Outfit ⚾ Location: Normani Devereux's Home (Beach) ⚾ Theme Song ⚾ Mood: Entertained

Yes, Christian Hernandez was having a great fucking time. After helping the hostess herself out earlier in the day with overseeing setting up, making sure DJ Morse Code was good and comfortable, and test-tasting (which didn't really need to happen, but both Christian and Mani liked food so this was bound to happen) the absolutely mouth-watering foods, he had really just lounged around at a friend's house in the neighborhood until the party. Lounging meaning that he shot a few hoops, watched a movie or two, and had a bit of a video game session before showering for a second time and getting ready. Which didn't take long since, considering the fact that Christian wasn't a girl that would do the utmost at a beach party, it was a beach party. All he needed was a pair of orange Dan Ward swim shorts, a plain white muscle tee that had been thrown off about fifteen minutes ago, and a pair of Dan Ward sandals that happened to have a bit of wet sand in them at the moment - and Chris was good.

He was even better now that he and a few jocks had successfully thrown a few of the squealing Prep girls (and one of their guys since he wanted to be a prissy little bitch) into the crashing waves, with all of them coming up sputtering and screeching out playful threats. Chris high-tailed it the fuck outta dodge, heading back to one of the lounges so as not to get attacked by pissed off girls who should have remembered that being near water meant actually getting wet. Once there, he smirked at a few girls sitting and gossiping, while pulling out his phone to check on a few of his people.

To: Angel
Don't tell me ur 2 good to come 2 a party now?

To: Chad, Dom, James, Lennox, Sam, Tray
Dudes, this party is 2 live for me 2 c none of u yet

Outfit ♕ Location: Normani Devereux's Home (Bedroom) ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Exuberant

While Normani was more than ready to get to her guests and be amidst the fun and just good energy she had noted from the second people started arriving at four, she had returned to her room with Liv and Kat to actually finish getting ready. She had been adamant earlier that every detail be perfect, even with the fire show that would go on at around half past six in the evening. Just when sunset was happening so that it would be dark enough for the show to actually be entertaining and not just random, and her showing off. Not that she wasn't showing off (since come on, she was fucking amazing! Her showing off was equivalent to a lot of girls doing too damn much, just with her...ya know, doing it better) considering when was the last time Normani had even thrown a party at her own home, let along have all the details she had set up? As promised, she had gotten her girls, along with her loyal followers, manicures and pedicures. Hell, to be nice since they had all helped with setting up and being the first to sample the henna artists, she had allowed them all two glasses of her Pernod Ricard Perrier-Jouët champagne during lunch. And Liv and Kat would be the first to tell you - Normani did not serve such an expensive item just willy-nilly.

So, while everyone else was making their way down the dimly-lit pathway from her home to the beach where large lounges were set up with soft cushions, various draperies of jewel tones, and hookah and music lingering in the air around them, Normani was in her bedroom, fully dressed and putting on the final touches to her attire. Her own henna tattoos had been done earlier. "For the record, you can't even say I didn't warn you this time around about what I was wearing," she decided to toss over her shoulder in the direction of her closet's main entrance where Liv and Kat were still in her bedroom, fixing up the last of her eye makeup. The strapless, aqua-colored bandeau bikini she wore emphasized the absolutely flawless figure she held and a semi-sheer sarong was held comfortable on her curvy hips. Her hair had been finished just after her shower earlier and a gold-tone filigree heart crown head piece sat on her head regally, bringing together the hint of Arabian royalty that Normani was going for. Plus, there was something about wedges (or heels, in general) that had her feeling absolutely flawless. She had even changed her bellybutton ring for the occasion.

"You girls ready? Lauren just told me more people are showing up and there is a Long Island Iced Tea that is just screaming my name at this point," she said, walking out of her very spacious closet to confront her very gorgeous best friends.

Angel was selling the last of their candy before feeling her phone go off. She turned it over to see who it was from and when she saw it was from Sam. She couldn't help but form a devious smirk on her face as she unlocked her phone to read and reply to the message. Her smirk grew even more when she saw what it said. She and Sam had been trying to sleep together from a while now but, every time something either came up or Angel decided to just tease him before walking away. Mostly to play around and make him want her even more than before. She left him on read as she put her phone back down to sell the last two remaining candies before looking towards the two other girls and standing up with a smirk. "Well, since we're done. Why don't you go ahead a scurry off to your little leader to tell her how great of a job we did. That way I can walk away and meet up with people who actually have personalities other than being carbon copies of Tina Hammersmith from Bring It On Again and Normani herself Have a great rest of your day, you guys." Angel said with a smile before turning away after picking up her purse. Angel walked through the halls with her heels clicking against the floor as she walked to her locker to get her dance bag to take it home for the night. When she made it to the locker room she finally decided to text Sam back.

    To : Sam
Hmm, I don't know. You know, I don't really have an interest in being surrounded by preps. ;)

The small girl smirked at her reply before putting her phone away in her purse. She has to admit, Sam was sexy. Really sexy and the idea of sleeping with him was tempting but, what she hated about sleeping with Preps and Royals was that she always left right after no matter what time it was. She hated falling asleep in their bed. But, for the reason you may think. She has no problem sleeping over because she's too lazy or worked out to get up and drive. Hell, she did more than a few times. What she didn't like was falling asleep in some rich guy's big house and waking up probably not remembering how to get out without waking up whoever she was with. She got another message from Hailey as she stopped walking to read it. She raised an eyebrow before chucking at the last bit of the message. She sent the message before walking to her car on the other side of the school to start heading to the mall to find something reasonably priced for the party tomorrow.

    To : Hails
Just why would I and Christian be going together? And I'm for it if some else pays or I just stick to the bread and a water. lol.

Angelina was on her way to meet up with her girls. She had decided to get ready at her own house but agreed to meet up with the two. Like stated before, she just had a weird thing about being in upper class houses. Even those of her best friends. Sure, she would go every once and a while but for the most part she would try to just stay where she felt comfortable which included her house or with her girls in their rooms without walking around their houses.

Angel looked at her ruby red two piece with a smirk as she turned around to look at all of her curves. Even if she was small, the small Animal did have a body. Maybe it was genetics, maybe it was from all the sports, she didn't know. All that mattered to her is that she has a nice ass. She slipped on her small wedges and tightened the gold buckles before adding her jewelry that she... 'borrowed' from her foster mothers. She carefully added the gold necklace, cuff, and headband with a smile. She fixed her long curly locks to make the look absolutely perfect. She had people to impress today, two of them being Sam and maybe, Christian. Just a little bit. The girl looked around for her black beach dress before finding it under her sister's bed. She rolled her eyes before slipping on and grabbing her beach bag for the day that was filled with everything she needed like a towel and her sun tan lotion.

She hurried out of the empty house, since everyone else was still at their clubs or working at the restaurant. Angel, again asked for the day off just so she could hang out with her friends at the party. She tossed the bag in her passenger seat before getting in herself and starting the car. But, not before sending a text to a few people. After which she plugged her phone into the car to start her music before driving towards her friend's house.

    Hails and J
omw over now. Be there soon!

    To : Christian
Me? Never. What wrong Chris, you bored of you little friends already. ;)

Sam arrived to Mani's parties with a couple of other preps, and after hearing that some fun was going on down on the beach, a few of them, including Sam, headed down there. They got there at the end of some fun that the jocks were having with the Prep girls, which resulted in a lot of soaked girls, most in their actual outfits and not stripped down to their actual bikinis. The sight brought a grin to Sam's face, but he didn't let the rush of excitement come over him for long enough to shut his quick thinking mind down. Within seconds, he hurried over to one of the girls, Tiffany Bradshaw, and offered her the thick, white towel. After ten minutes of small talk, all he got was a peck on the cheek and a thank you, but he knew that once a few drinks hit the girl's system, he'd get a first class invitation to tear that tiny red bikini off of her. It certainly didn't reflect the classy, proper and well-mannered prep that Sam was to the world, but he couldn't resist rubbing it in to his boys once he saw that Chris had sent out a message in the group chat.

To: Chris, Chad, Dom, James, Lennox, Tray
Got here just in time to cop a feel on Tiffany after one of you pushed her into the ocean and she needed her knight in shining armor to help her dry off. Mani should've made this an all white theme. Would've made girls in soaked clothes a lot more fun but I'll take what I can get.

To: Angel
Should I be offended that three ANIMALS ditched ME last night for dinner or do you have a good explanation?

He was walking back up towards the lawn area as he sent the text, and now, he was alone. He considered following it up with another text, asking where Christian was, but it wasn't needed because within a minute, he spotted the Royal seated in one of the lounges. As he slowly headed that way, he made a note of how well Mani had done with this party. Not like he expected anything less, but still, he knew that it was always important to take a moment to appreciate the work that went into these parties. One like this was setting the year up for success, since everyone at their school was in the mindset where one party had to top the next, and anything topping this had to be really good. "Look who it is! Chris, my boy!" Sam smirked as he sat down next to Christian. "And without a drink in hand? Really? Your coach convince you quarterbacks only drink Gatorade, or you just being a little bitch tonight?" he taunted playfully, while waving over a woman who seemed to be taking drink orders to put in at the bar.

Christian had to laugh faintly at Angel's quick reply, leaning back against the sofa he was seated upon with a smirk on his face. While it was no secret that despite Mani and Angel's beef that he and the apparently proclaimed Animal princess were friends, the real secret was how close they actually were. More than Normani (who only remembered her for being that one bitch on cheer who would faithfully look at her like she just wanted Mani to claw her eyes out), Chris had seen the sweet girl Angel had been back then. The sweet girl she technically still was, even if she was adamant that she was some kind of badass hardcore partier. And yeah, as he had joked only once or twice before to his boys, he would tap that. Already had...when he was dating Mani.

But of course, nobody wanted to talk about that.

To: Angel
Nah. Just wanted 2 c u

As soon as he had clicked send, Sam slid in right beside him and Chris punched the guy's shoulder lightly. "Fuck you, man," he replied with a grin. "Unlike your ass, don't need a drink to get turnt." While Chris could normally be seen at every party with at least more than two drinks, he wasn't in a rush. Partially because he wanted to make a good impression on Mani who had already expressed a distaste for him when he overdid it. Partially because he wanted to be at least semi-sober when he saw Angel. And no, he was not going to think about how complicated he was making his life. Nope, not at all. "Surprised you didn't bag Tiff earlier. Don't tell me your game is off and the fun's only started, bro? Might think you've lost your game."

Outfit ♕ Location: Normani Devereux's Home (Bedroom to Beach) ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Exuberant

Normani felt the blush rising to her cheeks a millisecond before Katherine's outburst and she didn't even try to fight the bright smile that formed on her face. She really had been ready to wear dark red for the day with a bit of gold accents...up until CC had stormed in late last night with aquamarine as a recommendation. Of course, with her sister in the middle of touring and only being in California for a few hours, Normani did whatever her sister wanted her to do, which included changing the entire ensemble. She had not even had any intention of wearing a two-piece bathing suit, but here she was - a snugly-fit bikini that emphasized her hourglass figure and a color that flattered the darkness of her skin tone. Overall, she was happy and the fact that both of her best friends liked it was enough to let Normani know she killed the game.

"Thanks, babes. I have to try to make sure I stay on your levels since some people like to slay the game just by breathing," she said with a genuine, soft smile playing on her lips and hurried over to the vanity in her bedroom so that she could spray a hint of her Joy Baccarat Pure Parfum by Jean Patou. The expensive floral fragrance was not one she used typically, considering her Bath & Body Works collection, but Mani had figured, what the hell? Instances like these, where she was feeling even more a ten out of ten than her usual, required nothing but the best and she loved the scent. It was in the middle of her quick spritz that Mani saw the flash of Katherine's phone and gave the girl a pointed yet playful look, not at all bothered by her taking a picture. But she did bump her hip against Liv's the second they all got through her bedroom door, grinning devilishly at the blonde. "...I don't know...what about James? Or any of your numerous suitors that run amok in HHS' halls? Though...I am a bit interested in how we're doing on the Sam front, Kitten." She shot back in the same teasing tone once securely locking her door. They had made sure that a lot of the most valuable objects in the house were locked away and her key was going to be given to one of the staff members she trusted the most, Clifton. As the girls headed down the hallway and towards the steps, Normani pulled out her phone to send a quick few texts.

To: Dom
Don't tell me ur still playing hide-and-seek?

To: Chris
Shut up. Be down in a min

To: Jada
Funny story...

To: Honey
Where r u?

Once her text to Honey was sent, Normani's memory came back to her and she linked arms with both girls, pulling them close just as Clifton took the key from her. "Also, be on the look out, ladies. We have...a new student. A few really, but one that just got here. Be nice...for now."

Hailey and Normani weren't very close, and probably never would be. Hearing that anyone was talking badly of you hurt, or at least it did for a girl like Hailey, who was careless, but not to the point of having no feelings. She was a teenage girl and when someone who held power in the school was calling her out of her name, when she felt like she had done nothing wrong, it hurt. It wasn't like it had sent her into a downward spiral where she was considering jumping off the school's roof, though, because again, they were teenagers, and it wasn't the first time that someone had insulted her. She had a sense of humor too, so maybe that helped in her being able to brush things off. All she knew was that this wasn't that big of a deal, especially now that she heard from the source that it was true, but that she didn't truly feel that way. Whether Normani was actually apologizing sincerely like she claimed, or really just doing it to make sure her image remained flawless, Hailey didn't know, but she didn't care so much as to hold it over her, either. She'd tell Angel later that she was sorry for not believing that Normani could be such a bitch, but this little conversation had also alleviated Hailey's need to have some vendetta against Mani. "Consider it forgotten," Hailey responded with, allowing a smile to reach her lips once again.

It wasn't completely forgotten. Hailey would be stupid now, to think of Normani as someone that she could genuinely be friends with, because maybe she had spoken without thinking, but it was obvious that Mani deep down, did at least consider some of the things she had told Kat to be true. It went with the saying that people's truest feelings came out when they were angry or drunk. At the same time, again, it wasn't that big of a deal, and Hailey didn't take herself that seriously or hold grudges. Even if she did want to come back at Normani and start a fight, and go on and on like a drama queen about how offended she was, Hailey wasn't the type of person to do that in front of a bunch of people. For one, she loved Kat, but she was sure the girl wouldn't take her side, and she also didn't want to put Jada in a position where she had to take sides either. It wasn't worth it, to anyone. She'd make up for whatever hurt Normani had caused her buy downing more than a few mixed drinks on Mani's bill throughout the night, and by that point, it would truly be forgotten.

Although Catalina and Chad had come over, and it was possible that they could bring fresh conversation, apologies and drama always felt awkward to Hailey, so she felt like she needed to lead the conversation somewhere else. "But, I will ask, where can I get a drink around here?" she asked, linking her arm with Angel's, who she felt like was going to be a flight-risk if they stayed near Mani and the girls for much longer. Turning the conversation to a normal topic only furthered the idea that she would be normal with Mani from now on. It was over. Maybe not completely forgotten, but for the most part, forgiven and in the past.

Sam shook his head, as if Chris' explanation for why he wasn't drinking wasn't a good one, and ordered a whiskey, neat for himself. "Nah, it's not like that," Sam laughed when Chris referenced Tiffany. "I've got my methods, man. You know that. Gotta take it slow so she thinks you're a gentleman who respects her," he began, leaning back on the couch, "And then getting her into bed is the easiest thing in the world. Hell, I bet you I could get this girl right out there on the beach once the sun goes down. She's gonna be all over me, you watch and see," he insisted. Call him conceded, but Sam truly believed that he was just that good, and if you wanted to check his facts, you'd see that he wasn't even bluffing. He never struggled to get girls to undress themselves for him. It was usually the next day, when the girls realized he was a dick, when it was hard to get them to keep their clothes off, but he was pretty much a one night stand man anyway. At seventeen, a real relationship wasn't on his mind, or at least not with any of the girls he had slept with so far in his high school career. They were all mostly fun, but just girls to pass the time with.

"I'm not about sober sex, honestly," he added as his drink was set down in front of him. He enjoyed whiskey, and whiskey that was top-shelf like this was smooth enough where adding ice was unnecessary. "You've gotta be in a relationship for that, I think. It's too weird for me if I'm sober and the girl's sober, because then she thinks it actually means something, you know?" he said as he reached over to grab the drink and take a swig of it. "Tiffany'll be fun in bed, but I feel like I should be going for a higher prize this year. Olivia's always been a catch, but I don't know if I want to get in the middle of Atwood and Page's bitch fight over here. Maybe Katherine, too, but I don't know with some of these model girls. Once they put on those heels it's like we're suddenly five feet shorter than them, and I'm not about that short guy look. Then there's always Angelina... you think the crew would shit on me for hitting that?"

Location: Normani Devereux's Home (Beach) ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Excited

Normani only nodded once to Hailey's first declaration of the situation being forgotten and a small, genuine smile was the blonde's acknowledgement. Now that that was off of her conscience, she winked at Jada before turning her gaze over to Honey and Chad. "Well, if it isn't Mr. and Mrs. Smith. We're heading down to get drinks." She wasn't letting go of either of her friends at the moment, so Normani accepted the smile Chad tossed her way along with the "shut up, Mani!" he happened to add. She didn't say anything to the lack of...energy she could spot in Honey's greeting, wouldn't even bring it up until the two were alone. Honey wasn't always openly excited to see everyone or even as affectionate around a lot of people sometimes, but Normani could tell. Something was just off.

But, as always, there was a time and a place, and Normani had a Long Island iced tea she had been going crazy about. With a small tug to Liv since Katherine had slinked out of reach, she turned so that they could head back down the path like the trio had originally intended. It was only then that she heard Hailey's question and glanced back to reply with, "Just down here and beside the DJ's gazebo. Not that hard to spot. A bunch of jocks'll probably be the main ones standing by it. And the fire show starts closer to six, Kitty. Just so it could be a little darker." Making sure that her entire crew was ready to go (and ignoring the fact that Katherine had, inadvertently, made the crew include people she didn't want to be bothered with anymore), Normani led the group down the path, minutely telling the slightly OCDish bitch in her head to chill the fuck out because of the small hints of sand that had appeared on the once clean red carpet.

Once down where the rest of the students were, Normani was immediately confronted by Lauren who carefully held three Long Island iced teas which she handed to Normani, Liv and Katherine since she hadn't known that Honey and Chad had arrived yet. "Awwww, babe, thanks. Told you we were heading down soon." The brunette shrugged, forcing Normani to release her besties in favor of embracing the sometimes accused-of-being emo. "Too much affection, Mani!" Normani only grinned with an arm still wrapped around Lauren's waist. "That's why you love me!" She exclaimed with a slight squeeze to the pale side her hand touched, reveling in the small squeal that escaped Lauren's mouth.

Christian only smirked at Sam's explanation about how things were going to go down with Tiffany, shaking his head in amusement while simultaneously awaiting a message. From Mani or Angel, he wouldn't be able to tell you, but he was curious about the former's lack of an appearance. Normani loved a good entrance, but even she didn't delve into the territory of being this late to her own party. So, he was a bit curious as to what she was supposed to be doing at the moment, but not enough so that he wasn't paying attention to his friend. At least, paying attention to the extend that he was acknowledging that the other guy was speaking. "You have fun with that, bro."

It was only when Sam brought up Angel did Christian even officially even register what the guy was saying and while the smirk remained present on his face, Christian could feel a bit of something hot unfurl within his chest. He didn't have a right to even start to get upset over who hooked up with Angelina. She was just a friend and honestly, all she was supposed to be. Not when he was supposedly trying to get back with Normani. Which he was, he wouldn't lie. At the same time, no...just...no. And he would be damned if it was someone he actually considered as one of his boys. "Sorry, dude. Don't think Angel's your type. You've gotta worry about Lennox and James with Liv, and that's more complication than your whiskey over there can handle. Though Kitty...I heard she's fair game." He spoke with a playfulness that only he could fake, but he could feel the distaste for Angel in a conversation rising. So, Christian averted his gaze for a moment, letting it roam over the crowd until...

Hot damn.

And just when he seemed to grow a sort of possessiveness over someone he wasn't supposed to (and it really wasn't fair for a person who claimed to not want that with him anymore), Normani comes and he literally forgets to breathe for a second. He wouldn't be able to lie about the way his eyes roved over her curvaceous form, how he took in the way her skin looked more like the chocolate her sister joked about, how ethereal (and, yes, he knew what the fucking word meant, thank you very much) she appeared. He couldn't even stop himself from nudging Sam in her direction. "But Mani...that's my game. Right there."

Angel was just chuckling as she got in the car with Jada and Hailey and how both of them were saying how she was going to get some tonight, more specifically from Christian. Which she know wasn't going to happen. They slept together once, just once and other than that they're just friends. That's it. And Angel wasn't quick to admit that either. In all honesty the only reason she has completely fucked his brains out time after time were two reason. 1) She refused to a second choice to someone who obviously wanted someone else and Angel wasn't going to get in the way of him getting back with Normani. Normani would do that all on her own. and 2) Sleeping together and a good relationship with someone just complicated things. Chris and Angel had a good relationship and the only thing that could come out of them sleeping together too is one or both of them catching feelings for one another. And Angel didn't need that right now. So, she completely swerve the idea with a roll of her eyes and a smirk before speaking. "Please. We slept together once besides he has his eyes on someone else." She said in a fake sad tone before feeling her phone go off to a message that was from Sam.

She smirked. She knew he would text one of them about not meeting him for dinner the night before. And she also knew more than likely it would be her. So, she kept the message to her as she also listened to the girls talk back and forth. Offering a chuckle every once and a while and her input on the coke subject and when Hailey brought her up and her prep past. Angel was all for doing coke to be honest, she might have had a small problem. Just like her father did. She wasn't an addict to it or anything but if she could find it, she would put it to good use. It's been a while but she was willing to break her 'good streak' today. Too bad no one else was up for it. And she learned the hard way not to be alone while high like that. "Ugh, must we bring the whole preppy thing up? And please, I've done much worst than Jada when I was a prep." She said with a laugh before finishing the message and almost putting her phone down but before she could she got another message from Christian. Huh, speak of the devil, right?

    To : Sam
Aw, I'm sorry. But not all of us can be made of money and time to waste. Sides, I told you preps aren't my type. ;)

    To : Chris
Aw, that just warms my heart. Well we're pulling up if you haven't already changed your mind.

She put her phone away when the girls finally made in to the party and walked out towards the area where everyone else was with Jada and Hailey right next to her. But, it wasn't long until she heard someone yell out towards the group and of course, it turned out to be no other than Normani coming to talk to Jada. Angel looked up at the sky as if she was cursing in her head before getting her phone out to keep her mind off of the group in front of her. She had no problem with Olivia or Katherine for that matter. They were fine as far as she knew. The situation only got even better when Honey up to the group as well with Chad. Another guy she was okay with. I mean, she would never have slept with him. He wasn't her type back when they were both preps and now, he was with Honey. Her cousin. She offered a small smile towards him before looking towards Hailey to see what she was going to say or do.

She listened to Normani with a raised eyebrow before looking from Normani to Hailey and again before going back to her phone to send to texts.

    To : Sam
We're here if you want to meet up later so I can make it up to you for us ditching you last night...

    To : Chris
I just got here if you still wanna see me.

She sent the text only to hear Normani say sorry right at that moment. She was surprised when they royal apologized to Hailey. She had to admit that took guts to come up to someone and say sorry. Not that she would every say it out loud and let anyone know she kind of, sort of gave Mani a compliment. She watch the other girls walk away to leave Angel, Hailey, and Jada to themselves. She moved in front of her girls as she took off her black dress to completely reveal the red swimsuit underneath, but left her jewelry as it was. "Well, are we going to go get something to drink and get this day started or not?" She said in a smirk as she moved her hips to rhythm of the music before turning to face her back towards them before starting to walk towards the bar while still swaying her hips a little bit to try and get the mood up.

How was Angelina not his type? Sam thought that if any Prep could handle her, it would be him. For one, she had been a Prep originally, so she couldn't be as full-blown Animal as she was talked up to be, and secondly, if Sam was as crazy as he got at night or when he was in the partying, he could pass as an Animal. If anyone could tame Angelina, it would be him, and if anyone could compete with his wild side, it would be Angelina. And the competitive edge in him might have come out a little too, when Chris pressed that she wasn't his type and he wanted to prove him wrong. It wasn't like he knew that Chris had some type of feelings for her on his own, or that they had a history, just him wanting to prove to another guy that he could get any girl he wanted into his bed, typical type or not. "Gotta dip my feet in the water to figure out if she's my type, man. You should know first hand that the crazy ones are usually the best," he joked, but when Chris nudged him to look towards the red carpet that the girls were coming down on, Sam's jaw might have dropped a little bit too. "I don't blame you, man." He couldn't blame Chris for wanting Mani in the first place, and he couldn't even blame him for continuing to pursue her, sometimes like a sad puppy, even after she had dumped him. She was as hot as they came, and as a member of the FIDM club, Sam would tell you that he wasn't being flamboyant by stating that she could work that color.

Mani wasn't the only hot sight in that crowd, though. While Christian focused on her, Sam's eyes drifted between the other girls who all looked amazing in their own right. There was Honey, who out of respect for Chad, Sam would just leave as looking gracious and attractive. There was Olivia, whose lacy, mesh ensemble had Sam daydreaming about how damn good she'd look in black lingerie. There was Katherine, who donned black like her friend, and whose lace dress left just enough hidden for him to want to tear it off and confirm that the rest of her body was just as sexy as those long legs. Being tugged along by Katherine was Hailey, who Sam would normally say possessed too much of the edgy Animal look to be his typical type, but who would always manage to make it into the "good one night stand" category, especially in those pants. Jada and Angel were only a few steps behind them, with the red color bringing Jada to live, and nearly making Sam's mouth water, and then Angel... well, judging by the way that Sam gawked as she took off her dress, it was clear that he decided then and there, that she sure as hell was his type.

When he left his fantasy world and returned back to Earth, he quickly stood up. His whiskey was still in hand, but since it was far too strong and good to just chug like a beer, he took a large gulp of it and held it as he took a few steps away from Christian. "Well, the early bird catches the worm, dude, and I sure as hell am not missing this one. I recommend you get off that lazy ass of yours too. Your girl is looking like a smoke show and I can already see those fucking losers by the bar mentally taking her clothes off," he said, referring to Hunter and Ian. And with that, he didn't wait for Christian to insist again that Angelina wasn't his type, because he didn't care. He'd break the rules for a girl who looked that good in a red bikini, even if it only turned out to be a one night thing.

He checked his phone only for a second as he hurried towards Angelina who was strutting towards the bar. As eager as he was to start making moves, walking behind her and admiring that physique wasn't painful either. "Might I say, Madam, that that bathing suit really compliments your ass...ets," he teased as he wrapped an arm around Angelina's waist from behind. And, well, his hand might have fallen slightly below the waist as they walked. "Why do I have to wait until later for you to make it up to me? Is it Opposite Day and suddenly the Preps are the ones who aren't good enough for you, or am I second in line behind some other loser?"

Normani gave directions to the bar, which actually wasn't far from where they were standing, but Katherine seemed insistent on leading her there, and Hailey allowed her too. Just like Mani wanted to get back to just being with "her" girls, Hailey wanted to just be with her girls. She appreciated the Queen Bee for hosting the party and apologizing in a pretty gracious manner, but neither of them needed to pretend that they were besties now. It just made sense to part ways and enjoy the night as separate entities. If Katherine wanted to be an Animal for part of the night, than that was fine by Hailey, but she didn't need her vibe killing friends to tag along too. Especially when Angel disliked Mani. It was one more reason for why it made no sense for the two groups to mesh together as one.

She and Katherine were only a step or two in front of the group when Jada and Angelina caught up to them, and if Hailey could whistle, she would have wolf whistled as Angel took off her dress to reveal the red bikini underneath. "Damn, senorita!!!" she said, releasing her grip on Katherine to applaud for Angel theatrically as the girl continued in front of them, swaying her hips sensually as she approached the bar. "I literally love that girl. She's too funny," she said with a genuine smile, when it was just Katherine then who was standing close to her. They continued towards the bar, when seemingly out of no where, Sam cut in front of their path and wrapped an arm around Angel's waist. Hailey couldn't hear what he was saying, but just judging from the look on his face, he was probably talking his way into her pants. She was still Team Christian at the moment, even though Angelina had dismissed the idea of it being a possibility minutes before, but Sam and her looked decent together too. And though she didn't have firsthand experience, she had a feeling that Sam would be good in bed. That was what a few of the other Animal girls who had slept with him had said, at least. "What do you think about him?" she said quietly to Katherine, nodding her head towards Sam and Angel as she steered Katherine to the side of the bar that was as far from Sam and Angel as possible. Hailey was all for being obnoxious and "ruining the moment" for her friends, but she was interested in seeing how this panned out.

“Greg, I can’t thank you enough for this.” Living with a brother who had a severe disability was not easy. Especially when Tray did it all on his own, while still in high school, and working a full time job. If it wasn’t for Greg, Tray would still be out on the streets barely getting by – or worse, not getting by at all. Greg came into Tray’s life just when it seems there was little left of life for him and his brother. He was the rescue that Tray and Jamie were waiting for from their father than never came. Instead, Greg was the one to pick the boys up off the streets and get them back on their feet.

“Tray, I’ve told you man, it’s my pleasure. I want you to live a normal life. Now get out of here.” Tray pulled his apron off his waist and tossed it towards Greg with a smile on his face. “His meds are on the top shelf over the sink!” Tray yelled out as he ran towards the door, rushing to get home and change. Greg smiled and chuckled to himself as the teenager went flying past entering customers. “These boys are going to drive me into early retirement.” He said under his breath with a shake of the head and a laugh.

Tray jumped into his old Jeep and quickly drove home to change. As soon as he reached his apartment door his phone went off with a text. The name that appeared on his phone brought a smile to his face. He unlocked his apartment door as he opened his text from Raquel. He texted as quickly as he got dressed in a simple outfit consisting of a black tank top, khaki shorts and white canvas sneakers. While getting dressed he texted Raq back.
To: Raq ♥
Hey you (: I’m on my way babe. Be there soon

Just as quickly as Tray was home, he was at Mani’s. He was rushing to get everywhere because he hated missing out on things. He was invited, so why not enjoy himself right? He parked his jeep the first place he could and made his way into Mani’s house. His jaw was dropped from the moment he drove onto the property. It certainly wasn’t anything like his little 2 bedroom apartment. Tray pulled himself together – he was an A-Lister, he had to at least present himself as one. The rest of the school didn’t need to know he was broke and living off minimum wage. Tray found the rest of the party and looked for Raquel and Tyler, who he knew would be glued to each other. While he looked for Raq, he ran into Sam and some of the other guys.

“Hey guys, how’s it going?” He made conversation with the guys on his team and the guys he was supposed to be friends with. This was the place to do it, and if he came to this party to just sit in a corner and talk to Raquel, the guys would never let him hear the end of it. Tray, however, wanted nothing more than to just spend time with his close friends. He didn’t care for being friends with everyone, much less did he care about being friends with guys who weren’t really his friends. He knew that all these people put on a show to others. No one really liked anyone in high school, all this shit was just an act and Tray hated that. Tray was a blunt person, he preferred to be real with everyone, regardless of what the truth was.

Lennox tried on several outfits before finally picking one that he liked. He drove across town to Mani’s house in his car and arrived at the party excited to get started. He noticed a few texts on his phone from some of the guys. One from Sam, one from Chris, and one from Kat. He smiled as he replied to all the texts letting them know that he arrived.

Walking into the party, the first thing Knox did was order himself a shot. He downed it between breaths and exhaled sharply. “It’s gonna be a good night!” He yelled out, pounding the shot glass down on the counter and thanking the bartender. Knox walked further into the party searching for his friends. He walked until he saw a large group of guys standing around talking and noticed Tray in the midst of the group. Why the hell does this guy always have to stick himself where he doesn’t fucking belong.
The thought came to Knox clear as day and he rolled his eyes in annoyance. He sent out two texts to two of his friends.

To: Kat
Where are you? I got something for you

To: Tay
Where are you man? This party’s a bust without you

Lennox went on with looking for his friends when he found Kat. He walked up behind her without her noticing and put his arm around her shoulder. “Hey beautiful. Didja get my text?” Before Kat could respond, Lennox was already moving on with his next thought. Lennox had an idea. Knowing that Tray was scum of the earth and that he was chasing after Raquel, who Knox used to date, he wanted to make sure Tray’s life was hell. It wasn’t so much that Lennox still wanted Raquel, he just didn’t want Tray of all people to have what used to be his. Lennox was acting like a toddler, taking away something he didn’t even want from someone, just so no one else could have it. He pulled Kat along with him as he walked in Tray’s direction. “Doesn’t matter. See that guy over there?” Lennox said pointing to Tray. “I just overheard him saying that he thought you were cute. And I know you’re doing some weird thing in your life where you’re, like, not dating or whatever, but maybe you should give him a try.” Lennox smiled devilishly at Kat. He didn’t know if she knew if it was true but Knox was a pretty good liar and would have been able to pull himself out of the situation had it gotten awkward. He gave a gentle push to Kat in Tray’s direction and winked at her. “Go get ‘em tiger.” Lennox smiled and walked away before Kat could say anything.

Lennox made his way around the party, talking to random people when he found Olivia hanging out with some her girls. He walked over to them and casually entered the conversation. “Ladies,” He smiled. “Liv, do you mind if I talk to you for a second in private.” He wanted to pull Olivia away from the rest of the girls so that he can talk to her about the ridiculous decision she was making with Jamison. He wanted a chance to talk her into going with him and didn’t want her friends around to influence her decision.

He held onto Olivia’s hands gently and smiled at her warmly. “Listen, I know you told James you’d go to homecoming with him as friends, but let’s be honest with each other here for a minute. I like you and I get the feeling we could have a great time together. So, what do you say? Go to the dance with me. I’ll find James someone else to go with.”

Within seconds of the definitely-not-expected apology being accepted and finished with, the group headed further down the beach. Though they were walking as a group, it felt like a bunch of little, separate entities, and Jada was annoyed that her girls weren't one all together. Hailey was clinging to Katherine and Angel was there one second, and then tucked in one of Sam's arms before Sam even realized who the male was. She wanted to roll her eyes and mutter something about this being typical, but she wasn't going to be the downer of the night. She didn't need to cling to her girls' sides to have fun, and in an attempt to be optimistic for once, she decided that it was good for Angel to be mingling with a guy who probably wasn't trying to do a line of coke off of her ass. And with Hailey... well, the blonde abandoning her for the moment was harder to excuse, but Jada told herself that it was better that she was off doing her own things than pressing Mani for more of an explanation on what had happened. She had to admit that Hailey had been pretty good about not pushing hard, especially when J already knew that Mani was doing something unusual by apologizing for something that was supposed to be kept a secret. Plus, both Hailey and Angelina seemed to be in good spirits this evening, and that made Jada even more determined on making sure this night went well.

She followed her girls, a few feet behind, to the bar. Normani and her friends had stopped to talk with Lauren, who seemed like she had been waiting on their arrival since she had drinks ready for Mani, Liv and Katherine. J wanted to talk to Mani and just say she appreciated keeping the peace with her girl, but now wasn't the time. Not with so many people around, not when it might have still been a fresh wound, and not when she wanted to maintain the night's fun atmosphere. She wanted to chat with Honey and Chad too, since she hadn't seen the two in days, and genuinely wanted to make sure that all was good after yesterday's mayhem. It just didn't feel like her place to hover with that group though. She was friends with Mani, Chad and Catalina, but she wasn't a part of that friend group overall. After ordering a Juan Collins at the bar, Jada noticed that her girls had changed groups yet again. Or at least added people to them. Angelina and Sam seemed to be in a group of people, with Tray and some other guys hanging nearby, and Katherine and Hailey were talking before Lennox before Lennox pushed Katherine towards the group of guys by Angel. Lennox then departed in the direction that Mani was still in, so J headed towards Hailey and walked with her over to where Katherine was headed, and where Angel already was. "Ten minutes in and Angel's already hoeing it up," Jada joked as she grinned upon spotting the girl still on the other side of the bar with the guys. "Think we should rescue her from Sam? If we're being real, I'd rather her with him than Christian, because that's just messy territory to get into again, but this kid's no prized possession either."

Angel listened to Hailey clap as she continued to sway her hips before hearing someone talk to her from behind. She turned around to see Sam. An instant smirk grew on her face as he talked to her a wrapped an arm around her small waist, allow his hand to go a little lower as they continued to walk. "Might I say, Madam, that that bathing suit really compliments your ass...ets," The short girl nudged him with her hip softly with a smile on her face. "Why thank you. That's exactly what I was going for."

They continued to walk with his arm still around her as they walked towards the bar. "Why do I have to wait until later for you to make it up to me? Is it Opposite Day and suddenly the Preps are the ones who aren't good enough for you, or am I second in line behind some other loser?"

Angel placed a hand over her heart as she acted to be offended for a second before sarcastically scoffing. "Ouch. Sam that just broke my heart." She didn't even answer his questions right away. She waited until they were at the bar, a little bit away from Jada and Hailey.

She asked the bartender for a pomegranate sex on the beach before turning towards him before laying a hand on the side of his jaw. With a smirk Angel lightly chuckled before answering. "Two things. One, no loser could ever be in line before you. And two, baby I've always been too good for most of the preps at this school."

She turned to the bartender as he gave the Animal her drink with a wink before moving to the next person who walked up to the bar. She smiled as a thank you before grabbing her drink as taking a sip. "And I said later because I can't just take you right here on the beach. Now can I?" She said with a raised eyebrow a devious look in her bright eyes and in that little smirk of hers. When Trayson and a few of the other jocks made their way over to talk to Sam. Angel removed her hand from his jaw and turned to her drink.

"Definitely cute," Katherine responded quickly to Hailey's inquiry about Sam. She and the blonde had moved away from the crowd in front of the bar, but were still close enough where they could see what was going on with Sam and Angelina, and the group of people that gravitated towards them. She eagerly sipped her Long Island Iced Tea that Lauren had given her moments before as she watched the duo in the distance for a moment. Whatever Katherine felt for Sam wasn't strong enough for her to feel jealous or territorial. She didn't know him well enough. Hadn't made a move yet, like Liv insisted she had to do tonight, but the sight of him with Angelina made her not want to make a move. She and Angel weren't enemies like Mani and her were, but they weren't friends either, and Kat had a bad tendency of just agreeing that people were unworthy if Mani or another Royal claimed so. Even if she did internally feel like she was a step above Angelina, looking at the girl who was now sporting nothing other than a red bikini and jewelry made her a little bit hesitant on trying to compete with that. She and Angel had completely different looks, but the way that Sam's arm was wrapped around Angelina's waist suggested that Angel was his type. At the same time, with Sam's reputation, any female probably fell into the category of being his type, whether he tried to act like that or not. He got around, but regardless, he was a Prep, he came from money, and he had a way about him that didn't always make him seem so slimy. Even with Katherine's sometimes unreasonably high standards, Samuel didn't seem like a bad choice for her.

Clearly, the party didn't really start until the hostess came out, because moments after Mani and the girls made their way outside, lots of people began to flock towards the bar too. Trayson and some other jocks were socializing with Sam and Angelina, she spotted Lennox in the crowd, and like Jada, he was headed in her direction. Raquel and Tyler were at the bar too, which surprised Katherine. She didn't know Raquel very well on a personal level, but from what she did know of her, she seemed like too much of a good citizen and rule-follower to be a drinker. It wasn't important enough to dwell on and she didn't have time to regardless, because soon, Lennox was in front of her, asking about a text that Kat hadn't seen and before she could answer, telling her that Trayson had been talking about her in a good way. Unfortunately, this Long Island Iced Tea wasn't the first alcoholic beverage that Katherine had consumed today, so Knox's words brought a grin to her face as she looked at Hailey devilishly. She didn't even have time to give the blonde a "do you think I should?" look, because the alcohol was telling her to go for it, and she did. "Come be my wing-woman!" she called to Hailey, but she was already walking away as she did so, so she didn't see Jada join Hailey. Even intoxicated, Kat knew that if Lennox was lying and she was on the path to embarrassing herself, she was going to kill him.

"Hey Sam," Katherine smiled as she approached the group that consisted of the trio. She didn't know why she acknowledged him first, but compared to him and Angel, she felt like they spoke more. She looked towards Angel next and maintained a friendly smile. Had Angel not actually looked flawless in that bikini, and with a hand lightly pressed against Sam's face, she probably would have tried to be bitchy just to see if she could steal Sam from her, even though she didn't even know if she wanted him, or if Angel had him. Knowing that it would be competition, and still believing that Knox had been sincere with what he said about Trayson, she remained friendly and in her lane. "Hey," she said, before looking at Tray and saying the same. Another gulp of her drink quickly washed down her throat as she twirled a strand of her hair. "Why aren't you drinking anything yet, Tray?!" she exclaimed, reaching out a hand to touch his empty one. "Let's do shots! Angel, Sam, are you guys in?" She knew that the pair both had drinks in hand, but didn't even wait for their responses before turning to the bartender and ordering four shots of tequila. "No backing out!"
