Appearance: Bill's a fine young man, standing at 5'10" and weighing around 170 pounds. Bill's dark hair has a slight tinge of dark red in it, usually only noticeable in the correct lighting, and he keeps it cut fairly short. His eyes are to die for as some have said, a piercing green that seem to exude confidence, generosity, and a giant smile all at once. He himself wears a smile fairly often, being the type to always try to look on the bright side of things.
You could say he's a guy that stays in shape; in high school he was on the football team, a seasoned and regular game hunter, holds a regular daily work out, and lately has taken to riding his bike or walking when doing errands or going to work.

Personality: Bill's a very friendly and helpful guy, from the bottom of his heart. It's been a rare occaision to hear of ol' William having bad blood with anyone in town, and even rarer to see him not go out of his way to help practically anyone. He truly gets joy from helping others, and thus he'll sometimes be seen on his day off helping his older neighbors, or something else generous and helpful for someone.

If NO what are you doing in town? William's been working full-time in his family's shop "Duvick's Hardware" the past couple years since he graduated high-school. He's considered going to college, as he has the intelligence to do so, but hasn't figured out what he'd like to do. All he knows is that he wants to help people in whatever he does, and make a difference.

Thoughts on the war In Europe: Although he has mixed emotions about all of it, he knows for a fact what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. The Allies are right, Hitler and Mussolini are wrong. After that he's going to focus on what can be done at home, and hope that this war gets resolved quickly.

Additional Info: Duvick's Hardware, the shop that his family owns and operates, has been in the family's possession for nearly fifty years. Started by Papa Duvick and his father, originally as a blacksmith and hardware store, business still continues to be good to this day. Although Papa Duvick has passed on day-to-day control to Frank and William, he still enjoys coming to 'work'.. Most of the time this entails him kicking back in a chair with a book, while chatting with the other townsfolk, or taking a nap. Or all of the above.
HELP IS WANTED though. Another pair of hands would be great around the store, since their last assistant walked out over a month ago.
William has a vehicle of his own besides his bicycle; a 1938 model 81A fordor sedan. It was supposed to be for Papa, but came into Bill's possession after the owner signed it over to Frank to cover a large debt he'd accrued from numerous home improvement and reparation projects. Frank and Bill had also decided to overhaul and touch up Papa's old truck instead, so it all worked out.
Although Papa and Frank Duvick were raised and thus tend to be fairly racist towards black folk, Bill personally shuns these ways. He treats blacks as equals on a personal note and level, but he as well as 'the help' realize the reality of the situation. However Bill or anyone else may wish it was, the reality is that racial stigma is a huge and real factor. So Bill does his best to treat his black friends and acquaintences as well as he can, while still realizing that in the end, he must watch what he does and say. It's surely never easy.
