A small childs hand gently poked the face of a very fair sleeping woman with hair that matched the little girls. The eyes of the woman slowly opened to come face to face with the grinning six year old. A giggle escaped the little girl's lips as her hands began moving frantically. Good morning mommy, are we doing school today? What's for breakfast? Are we going to the daycare today? The questions were asked like any other questions a six year old would ask, the only difference was she used her hands instead of her voice. In fact the small girl couldn't speak due to her hearing failing her when she was born. Yes she could make sounds, but she couldn't form those sounds into anything other than that, just sounds. It saddened the woman that her child would never hear the wonderful sounds of the world, but there was nothing to change that so the two lived with it.

After the stream of questions stopped, the woman who was called Abiageal laughed and sat up. She kissed her daughter, who she names Brielle, on the forehead before answering the child. Yes we'll do school today, no we don't have to go to the daycare today, and what do you want for breakfast? She answered the little girl and the waited for her response as she began to put her hearing aids in. She wasn't deaf like her daughter, but she was hard of hearing and had to wear hearing aids in order to hear things. She hadn't always been like that, in fact she didn't start losing her hearing until she was 15. Because of this she could speak perfectly clear and the only thing that would hint to her being hard of hearing would be her hearing aids.

It took the little girl some thought to answer her mother, but after a few seconds she finally did. Ice cream! She signed enthusiastically to her mother with a huge smile on her face. This caused a laugh to escape from her mother as she shook her head.

How about chocolate chip pancakes instead? About asked the girl and she got a not so enthusiastic yes in reply. So her and her daughter made there way to the kitchen.

After awhile she was done cooking and both of the girls sat at the table in their small dining room eating the good. They lived in a very small two bedroom apartment, that was all Abi could afford. Brielle's father was no longer in the picture, he hadn't been since he found out that he got Abi pregnant when they were 16. So they were living off her income alone. They had very difficult times, but they got through it.

They finished breakfast and an alarm on Abi's phone began going off. She signed as she knew what the alarm was for. She got up while turning her alarm off and walked over to her purse. She dug around for a moment before pulling out a small pill bottle. Inside this bottle were her antidepressants which she reluctantly took one. She hated taking them, but she hated even more how she was when she didn't take them.

Once she was done she turned back around to look at her daughter Are you ready to start school? She signed to her and got a yes in reply. She homeschooled Brielle because it was too difficult for her to send her to school and have an interpreter translate everything. She didn't get the attention she needed when Abi had sent her to school in kindergarten so she took matters into her own hands. She was just thankful she worked at a job that allowed her to take Brielle to work with her. It made life that much easier for both of them.

People gobble down different pharmacist drugs, which also include vitamins, cold medicines, anti-depressant, and vaccines. A mere handful of pharisaical drugs were chosen at random, to try an experiment , which was suppose to be an enhancement of brain activity, turned to mutation of chemicals. After files were lost to incumbent scientist it was decided to be hushed behind, not wanting a wide spread war or panic to outbreak.
Each day that passed seems to take different tolls on the average person. Because of the different drugs and flotation of climates and life styles with stress the effect takes different times, ranging from years, to merely months.
The only consent, was a high fever that lowered to deadly temperatures in less than forty-eight hours. That not being the only experiences the person will have, ranging for migraines, anal and internal bleeding, vomiting, and other extreme side effects. This being a fact, not everyone survive the when the changes begin.
Though those that do get out of the painful transformation, senses increase becoming fully aware of changes. Not being able to pin point what has fully happened, but have an understanding that their body has been enhanced in the various different ways.
Now it is all up to them how they come to know their limitations and exactly how they choose to use them.

OOC: You can choose to write another post before the changes happen(to help with the character development , I'd like those who haven't written at least two post to write another one before catching the fever.) but everyone MUST write a whole post about the pain their character was in and explain what they went through. Including what they were doing when the fever first hit them to how it affected their life.

Abi had Brielle started on writing her alphabet as she went around cleaning the house. It was very difficult teaching the little girl how to read since there was no way to communicate to her the sounds. Sounds made no sense and so the alphabet made no sense, but she had to learn in order for her to make it through life. She knew people we're never very understanding of the deaf community and most of the time people didn't understand why most deaf people couldn't read or write. What they didn't understand is that reading is practically a COMPLETELY different language to them. Abi was doing her best, though, and it seemed to be working out well.

If Abi had taken the scholarships she had gotten after graduating she figured she probably would have gone to school for interpreting languages. Sure she could have become a doctor or even possibly a rocket scientist, but none of that interested her. What interested her the most was languages, cultures, and peoples behavior and she liked making people feel good. So she figured if she had become an interpreter then she could help make people feel like they we're important and wanted.

She was lost in her thoughts while cleaning when she heard banging coming from the table. She looked over to see that her daughter was trying to tell her that she was done with he's alphabet. This made Abiageal laugh a little as she made her way over to her daughter to check her work. The little girl did a good job despite her e and s were backwards. She praised Brielle and then showed her what she had done wrong. The little girl got this frustrated look on her face clearly not understanding the difference between her letters and the letters her mom had just drawn. Abi sighed as she gave up for the day and moved on to the next subject.

Abiageal sat at the kitchen table with Brielle helping her with school. They were working on math which Brielle was actually very good at and actually liked. As they we're finishing up the page she was working on, Abi felt a headache coming on and she winced in pain a little. She took a deep breath and let it out as she opened her eyes and looked at Brielle's paper. She went to go correct her on something, but as she did so the pain in her head intensified. She gasped in pain and held her head for a second before signing to Brielle that they were done for the day and that she could go play with her toys. The little girl happily got up and skipped off to her room and Abi continued to sit there, not sure if she could even walk since the headache was causing her to be dizzy.

Finally after a few minutes of holding her head in pain, Abi got the courage to get up and make her way over to her medicine cabinet. She stumbled the entire way there and had to keep holding on to stuff to keep herself up. Once she got there ah grabbed some pain killers and popped a couple in her mouth. She grabbed a glass of water and took a drink. That's when her head began to pound worse and she dropped her glass and it shattered on the floor. It took everything in her to keep from screaming.

Brielle hear the commotion and came out to see what was going on. When she laid eyes on her mom she welled up with fear. Abi saw her daughters face and tried to calm her, but that was short lived as she felt her stomach churn and she bent over the trash can, vomiting in it. Brielle began screaming and crying out of fear. She grabbed onto her mom, still crying but trying to help in some way.

After minutes Abi stood back up and grabbed her phone. She decided to call her sister who lived near by to see if she could at learn take Brielle as she went to the doctor. The phone rang a couple of times and then her sister answered. "Riley can you come over, I'm sick and need someone to watch Brielle as I go to the doctor." She quickly spoke to her sister and her sister said she'd be over in a minute. As Abi hung up the phone she began to have chills. So she went and grabbed a blanket and wrapped herself in it. She was walking back to the couch when things began to get blurry. Her vision began to fade in and out and then everything went black. Brielle began screaming again as she watched her mom drop to the ground. She ran over to Abi and began shaking her while screaming at her.

About ten minutes later Abi's sister, Riley approached the door to her sisters place. She went to knock when she heard Brielle still screaming and crying. So she quickly opened the door to find her sister on the ground and Brielle next to her. What happened? She signed to Brielle frantically as she touched her sister forehead. She was burning up and so Riley grabbed her phone and dialed 911.

Mommy began throwing up and then she collapsed. What's wrong with her? Is she gonna die? Brielle replied, tears streaming down her face. Riley reassured Brielle that her mom was going to be fine and was glad that the child couldn't hear what she was saying to the 911 operator on the phone.

In about fifteen minutes an ambulance arrived and Riley role Brielle into the other room while they did what they needed to. In the end they ended up rushing Abi to the hospital and Riley and Brielle followed in Riley's car. Riley was worried about all that was going to happen to her sister.
