Personality:
Utane's personality can be described as forthright and excitable. Utane is known for having immense amounts of energy and not failing to let it show. Utane is, seemingly, always smiling and joking around with the people around her. To express her everyday attitude as a type of music, one could say that she embodies the essence of unpredictable and loud indie music. She's also relatively experienced at guessing how people feel towards her. After all, people are always making sounds whether it be their breath or their heart. Faster paces of either usually mean stronger emotions, though telling positive from negative is a different story. Despite her active cheerful personality, she will quickly fight for what she believes to be the correct course of action and is often butting heads with other people. That is to say, she's more independent than team-based.

That being said, there are moments when her personality switches from such an easy-going attitude to one of absolute seriousness. This happens when she begins to play her violin. Once her violin is in her hands, it's as though she were a different person entirely. She retains a smile, though it seems more menacing that joyful. Her body expression changes to that of someone who is ready to take on the world. With her violin in hand, she narrows her focus to fit what she needs to get done as per her mission. Whatever collateral happens in between is a necessary sacrifice.

History:
Utane came from an average family. She had a brother and a sister, both younger, and blue-collar worker parents. That is to say, her family wasn't overly poor, but they weren't exactly the most wealthy either. They simply had enough to get by without having too many struggles. Of course, the world being such the judging place that it is, Utane never could bring herself to tell people exactly what kind of family she came from. She was lucky to have been going to a middle-class school, given the income of her parents. As such, those she had considered her friends always assumed she came from a decent family, to which Utane never said otherwise. She simply played the role that would allow her to fit in with ease.

When she was thirteen, Utane had begun taking lessons in violin. She had found an abandoned violin on the side of the road one day and brought it home, asking her parents to teach her. The lessons themselves were expensive, but in doing the lessons, Utane had displayed a great ability towards music. Rather, it was at this time when her abilities had begun to awaken. At her first recital, Utane was more nervous than she had ever been in her entire life. That nervousness and her wish to convey her music is what caused the awakening. As she stepped out onto the stage and begun to play, the sounds that had been emanating from her violin took form. Not physical mind you, but it showed on peoples faces. They became entranced by her song and the sounds that produced.

Utane never really knew it to be 'magic' or an unnatural ability. It was simply just something she was extremely gifted at. She found herself being able to distinguish individual sounds, their volume, pitch, tone, all of it. She practice with the violin, slowly but surely being able to understand the instrument and the sounds it produced, eventually even being able to manipulate the sounds with the use of her ability. Yet, even to this day, even after she knowingly manipulates sounds to mute other people or adapt the frequencies of other sounds, she never quite understood its full potential.

However, not every story has that happily ever after. A few months ago her family was put into the line of fire. All around her house, neighbour's houses were being bought. Family after family had moved away, until only hers remained. Apparently some super big-shot corporation had wanted to make that area of land into a mall... and they wouldn't take no for an answer. Her father had done his best to maintain possession of the generation old property. However, worse came to worse when Utane was kidnapped. Based on her attitude and style, it was likely they mistook her for someone from a family of wealth. She certainly never told anyone otherwise up to that day. Her family was contacted and the criminals had demanded an amount of money that she knew was not anywhere near possible. The only way the family could have afforded to pay such a ransom was to sell the house.

It didn't take genius to understand how likely it was that the corporation buying out all the property was behind this. That being said, her father didn't budge. To him, the grounds on which generations of family had lived on was more important than his own flesh and blood. With that being that, she, albeit unwillingly, became property of the organization. They found out about her ability to play and even decided to make a profit with her. They popularized her music, even got her a couple album releases under the stage name Nemi. She had some amounts of fame thanks to the publicity she got. Some PR stunts, concerts, but they didn't last. Something felt wrong. At the end of the day, she still couldn't stand the injustices that she experienced. The innocent girl who had enjoyed life was gone. She never showed it, but gone it was. She figured she would take things to her own hands and change the world through her music. So, here she is, a musician with maybe a week of fame, no proper home, an object of a scummy corporation, and a goal that may very well... never be accomplished.

Abilities:
Utane's ability center around the production of sound; this being the reason for her always bringing her violin around and reluctance to relinquish it. Her violin acts as a medium for her abilities, the source from which her sound is produced. Through playing her violin, Utane is able to manipulate the sounds that she produces. For example, she can manipulate the notes that she plays to become higher in pitch. By playing them in a higher pitch, the range of the sound is greatly minimized, but can greatly affect a small number of targets. On the other hand, the notes can be manipulated to a lower pitch which travels farther and can affect a group of people, but the effect does not work as greatly, if at all. Her few skills that she has up her sleeve are mainly focused on shorter ranges, but can be manipulated to affect long range, albeit weaker. Her first, and favourite one, she calls the 'Siren Song'. By focusing the waves of sound to flow at alternating oscillations, Utane is able to produce sound waves that essentially entrance who is listening to the song; the name is aptly decided based on the Sirens of Greek myth. However this, rather all, of her abilities follow the common knowledge of sound. If someone is wearing something that cancels out their hearing or if background noise overpowers the sound of her music, the effects are nullified. A second ability that she knows, although rarely used due to it's uncanny drawbacks, is using the vibrations created from sound on a molecular level. By transmitting sound waves at a specific frequency, Utane is able to cause the particles in her body to vibrate at faster speeds, up to the point where she herself can travel at the speed of sound. The drawbacks of this are, while she wishes to move, the sound source must be constantly playing. Furthermore, overuse of this ability can cause damage to her molecular structure which can potentially kill. Finally, she can adjust the volume of sounds she produces, whether it be louder or softer. This itself has no practical uses, unless the objective is to not be heard at all or blow a person's eardrums out.

Weaknesses:
➢Earplugs||They pretty much render her abilities useless.
➢Water||Due to a certain incident in her past, Utane is very hydrophobic.
➢Teamwork||Utane is a very independent person and does not work well in a group, often clashing with others.
➢Stamina||Being the way she is, Utane does not have a lot of physical stamina.
➢Her Past||She constantly fears that her past will come to light some day.

Dislikes/Hates:
➢Water||She has a terrible fear of water.
➢Effort||Due to her upbringing, Utane is not accustomed to doing heavy-lifting and as such abhors the idea of it.
➢Running||This is not something for a person with little stamina.

Likes/Loves:
➢Music||Rock, classical, indie, Utane loves all genres. Not as much as she enjoys playing herself, though.
➢Bets and Wagers||Although a terrible thing to be in to, Utane enjoys the risk versus reward that comes with gambling.
➢The 'Truth'||She likes having people believe that she came from a wealthy family, though that isn't quite the case.

So begins...
