Violet, as an ex-member of the King's army, was trained to master her strengths so that they covered enough of her weaknesses. She has strong legs to allow her to run like the wind. Which, for someone smaller than most of the competition, is an astounding skill to have claims to.
Violet typically wears a dark purple jacket with a similar colored skirt. Alongside those she has a pair of dark purple, yes this is a thing, knee-high boots. All of which are made out of light, elastic material so as to not conflict with her job. When she's in the middle of an assignment, Violet usually braids part of her hair as a charm of good luck.⌉

Moving along, Violet is an independent person. Why send an incompetent person to do the job of a competent one? is a question which she will often ask. A reason she prefers solitary work is because it is much simpler to work on your own. If you work in a pair, you not only have to ensure the safety of yourself, but the person with you as well. That, in itself, puts the enemy at an advantage.
Violet's life is one of simplicity. Rather, she does what needs to be done without making an overly elaborate plan for it. The quicker and more precise a mission can be, the better. Of course, this does not limit to missions and assignments. Violet has a habit of eating only what is needed. That is to say, she eats as it is a necessary action to survive; not for food with a good taste and enjoying the food. Secondly, there's the shimmering factor. As we all know, light moves at unimaginable speeds, but there is still even the tiniest bit of lag-time between the source of the light and its destination. Due to this, Violet's ability is not an instant activation. It requires a few seconds before it can actually activate. Furthermore, when a person is moving, the light surrounding them changes. As such, the power must keep up with the movements of the person and the changes of light. This creates the shimmer factor. Since the power is attempting to keep up with the changes around it, one can notice a faint shimmer where Violet is. Much like how one sees a sort of shimmer outside when it is hot. Finally, just because Violet goes invisible, doesn't mean she cannot be touched, heard, or even smelt. Such precautions must be made to cover those areas.⌉

She chose the very intricate, yet medieval, weapon known as the katar. It is similar to that of a dagger, but one wields it by gripping the handle just underneath the blade. She has sheaths for these weapons strapped to her thighs in order for easy accessibility. While she has, and is capable of using, two katars, she prefers to only arm herself with the second when absolutely necessary. When not necessary, Violet wields just one with her right hand, keeping her left hand open in the case she needs to block with her right and strike with a punch from her left or if she needs to quickly pull out a smokescreen for a speedy escape. ⌉

⌊Violet's life was never really one with many complications or problems, save for one. She was born into a simple, middle-class family so with that alone she was well off. Her father was a doctor and mother a nurse. As such, they were never home much. This in itself was never much of a problem as the girl was known to be self-reliant and independent. She never once questioned the idea of being alone; she thought of it as the norm.
However, around the time she was fifteen, Violet found herself wander towards the outskirts of town. Once again, she was on her own as her parents worked. A small expedition seemed like the least she could do with her spare time. The long cirri and and blades of grass grew to almost unbelievable sizes. It was there, in the midst of the glade, that she met someone who changed her perspective on life. Another girl, just a year younger than she, who went by the name Wynelle. Violet quickly grew attached to this new entity in her life -- a person whom she could confide and believe in -- who would soon become her best friend. Violet, despite being the one older in age, felt like Wynelle was an elder sister. A person whom she could respect and admire for her social aptitude and overall people skills, something that Violet lacked in.
A couple of years later, Violet's situation with her family never changed. However, she begun to feel as though the distanced relationship she felt between her parents and herself was unnatural. If she could be close with a person whom she knew for a few years, surely she should be closer with her parents whom she had known for the entirety of her life. Such feelings towards her parents never came to be. She had begun to feel as though her parents were simply her family in title only; no actual relation whatsoever. It was around that time that her friend's, Wynelle's, house had caught fire resulting in the death of her sister. Violet never really knew her friend's sister, but couldn't help but feel empathetic. Yet, despite those feelings, she could never gather up the courage to talk to Wynelle about it. She simply lacked the proper social conventions to do so, fearing that she might make a habituated sarcastic comment and end up losing the first and only friend she ever had. In retrospect, perhaps even that would have been better than not speaking at all.
A year after the incident, Wynelle left without so much as a word. It was as though she simply 'vanished'. At this time, Violet was eighteen. With the disappearance of the person who she felt closest too, Violet became recluse and locked herself up in her room. She had shut herself off from the world, trying to make herself vanish like the friend who had done likewise. However, a year later, some rumors had spread around the town of a young girl becoming a high ranking individual in the King's army. Of course, this could have been virtually anyone, but Violet figured that, even if it wasn't her friend, she would be able to find more information whilst in the army. Thus she left her home and, at nineteen years of age, joined the army under the espionage unit.
Through her training as a member of the espionage unit, she worked under her commander anmed Rainier He was, simply put, very intuitive. It was as though he could read people like a book; know exactly what they were thinking. She respected him for that. As her training waged on, she became one of the higher ranking spies in the army, going under the alias "Argo" which was Greek for "Swift". This was due to her being one of the most agile out of the entire unit. As she moved up the ranks, her jobs grew ever so increasingly morbid. She went from simple information gathering and info leaking to blackmail and even assassination. She long since lost her ability to smile, the weight of her tasks pushing her like extra forces of gravity.
A year later, Violet had begun her thoughts to leave the King's army. Through her missions, she had heard whispers of a group of people forming out in the weald. A group of people planning to overthrow the king. She figured that at one point or another, she would be assigned to take them out or something of the sort. She would wait until that time and then desert the kingdom, joining these insurgents. She didn't get too far before her commander, Rainier, had came to talk to her, confronting her about her plans. How he knew about what she was planning and with such accuracy, she may never know. Surprisingly, she was not sentenced to death for treason. Instead, the commander had sent her out into the weald to meet with the leader of the insurgents, known as The Outsiders. She was assigned to be a part of the group while still working in the Kingdom. A double-agent of sorts.
