"Y'see, that's the thing about trusting others. If you

"People say that 'You're one in a million', but... in a world
of seven billion people... doesn't that mean there are seven
thousand others just like you? How is that any consolation?

Yoru Azamuku is a generally lethargic and apathetic person. There is hardly anything he overly enjoys in belief that there really isn't much meaning to the idea of 'life'. On the contrary, there is a large amount of things which he hates such as optimists and people with the relative happy-go-lucky attitude. That being said, while he is, quite frankly, spiteful towards people with a contradicting mindset to his, he gets along just a little bit better with people of a similar incentive; although your luckier to get him to remember your name than show you some respect. However, Yoru is a person who prefers not to get too close to another unless it is absolutely necessary. When the situation calls for it, he is able to put his skills to the test as an experience deceiver to create a falsified persona as someone who is more upbeat and social. Moreover, when he feels suspicious of someone, or he feels the need for caution, he will also said persona to mask himself and hide amongst the crowd. Although, one thing to be aware of is his anger. When he is angered, Yoru is definitely a lot more sadistic than one would think. Yet perhaps, just maybe, if people were able to get close enough to him, he just might put out some extra effort to try and be friendly.

★ Bio ☆
"Ah... I don't really enjoy telling stories about myself, to be honest. My isn't really all depressing or exciting or what have you. I'm just average as average can be, man. I don't really have a choice in the matter, do I? Well, I was born and raised here in good old Kasai City. My mom, Chiaki, she was a lawyer and my dad, Shou, he was an officer of the law. Awesome, right? My parents both being authoritative figures? Not at all. It made my life an absolute hell. My family line, the Azamuku family line, is a pretty old bloodline that always had these supernatural abilities. Psionics is what they were called, but some people probably know them better as stuff like telepathy or ESP. You see, because of this there was always these family disputes and stuff about who would be the next heir to the family throne and stuff like that. I didn't want any part of it, but of course my parents didn't care. When it comes to matters like this it's always about being a figurehead, not a person.

When I first awakened to my abilities, I was around ten years old or so, my parents... they treated me like some sort of gift from heaven. I won't lie, it was pretty nice. However, it wasn't until I was fourteen that I understood that a 'gift' was exactly what I was. An item, an object, that one receives. I wasn't Yoru, I wasn't human. I was just the hopeful next heir to the Azamuku family. My parents always drilled me on rules and formalities. If I ever did something they didn't like, I'd get beat for it. If I did something they wanted me to do, they always told me to do it better. It's always "You can do better than this" with them. Never any "Good job"s or anything like that. I hated that. Not that they ever knew though. I learned to use some of my ability to change how people saw me. Instead of seeing this miserable, apathetic child they would see one who was thoroughly enjoying his life. Damn, was that ever tiring.

Originally I was going to this high school called Ichimura High. Believe it or not, I actually had a few friends there. Not many, mind you, but I had them. Now, I was always getting calls home for sleeping in class and stuff like that. That was because of my ability though, not me being uninterested in the class... Well, it was a bit of both actually. Anyways, my parents believed that it wasn't my fault, but it was the school not being elite enough for someone like me. Now I attend Springward Academy For The Gifted. It never really changed though. I still sleep in class. I don't participate in clubs. My grades are sub-par at best. I just couldn't care less.

Throughout my first year at Springward, I never really got along with people. It was always a kind of "don't mess with me and I won't mess with you" relationship between myself and the other students. So, yeah. I never really had many friends at Springward. Although, because I started attending Springward, my route home had changed. Along this route was this weapons shop. Of course, I never would have been able to buy one of the things there. I was underage, after all. Even so, I would occasionally pop in and take a look around. You see, the thing about crime is that it never really becomes illegal until you get caught. It does help to have certain abilities though. I snuck out at night one day and waltzed on over to the shop. Naturally, no one was there. I did a little flash-stepping and got inside. It was pretty dark and being in a room of weapons in utter darkness is rather dangerous, right? So I just grabbed the closest weapon and got myself the heck outta there. It was the scythe that I own to this day. I never leave anywhere without it. Of course, most people wouldn't notice since I can just alter how I'm being perceived. They'll just think it's a baseball bat or a kendo stick or something. Depends on how I'm feeling, but simple is best. The more elaborate I make that camouflage, the more strain it puts on me.

And, uh, I was feeling curious one day. I was just playing around with my scythe after school hours and some random girl walked in, right? She was trying to make some awkward chitchat with me and, I dunno. I guess I just felt like it at the time because I dropped the illusion; let her see the scythe. The look of panic on her face was absolutely horrid. She ran immediately, but I just flash-stepped and blocked her path. The girl, I don't even know what her name was to be honest, fell to her knees and begged. Get this, begged for her life. I mean, how would she even know I was going to kill her. So what if I had the scythe, doesn't necessarily mean I'm out for blood. But I did it anyways. Cut her right in half. Slash. It was pretty awesome, I think. I had to teleport her body away to avoid a scene, but whatever. At that moment, someone else entered the room. This guy who I think I might have seen before. I was about to slash him too, no need for witnesses, but he asked me a weird question. He asked me to join his group called Rule Of 7 or something like that. Y'know, I never really did give a verbal agreement that day. I just flashed out of there. But I guess that in itself was confirmation enough."

★Explanation of Ability ☆
The Azamuku family has always been users of Spatial Psionic abilities and the likes. Yoru was no exception. Yoru specializes in Psionics that manipulate the self rather than those that can focus on the world or even the universe. His specific capabilities of his ability are simple Translocation, more commonly known as teleportation, as well as Illusive Appearance, which is a sort of simulated shape-shift. Yoru's ability to teleport is commonly classified as flash-stepping which is the ability to teleport in any direction, but limited to a specific radius around the user. In Yoru's case, his range of transport is limited to a 20 meter radius. However, the steps can be used in succession. As such, teleporting one's self upwards followed with a teleport forwards and continuing like that can simulate the concept of flight. The concept of Illusive Appearance is similar to that of Reality Warping, however it is limited to only the manipulation of the user and what is in direct contact with said person and how people perceive that specific person and item. In short, this psionic ability can only change the user and any items they are in contact with. It cannot be used to manipulate the perception of something overly large like an entire room or a whole building. An example of something which Yoru often conceals with this ability is his scythe making it appear as some regular, non-suspicious looking item.

Of course, there cannot be power without recompense. For flash-stepping, the more distance is traveled and the more consecutive steps are taken, the user is placed under great strain and shortly the distances in between each step is drastically decreased up to the point where they can no longer step unless they give it a rest. For Illusive Appearance, the more elaborate the illusion as well as the amount of time the illusion is active will also place great stress on the user. As both abilities will cause exhaustion to the user, it is mandatory for said person to stay healthy and get lots of rest. Lest they grow too tired to actually use any abilities.
