-Painting. Antonio paints with a very abstract, surreal style, which is perhaps because he uses his non-dominant hand to paint.
-Rainy weather. He finds it calming, especially when there are thunderstorms.
-Warm weather. He gets cold easily, so, the warmer, the better. Besides, thunderstorms are more likely to occur in warm weather; another plus.
Dislikes:
-Being unable to help someone. It makes him feel worthless and unwanted.
-Sunny weather. It's just so overly cheerful.
-Being unwanted. Nobody likes to feel this way, and Antonio is certainly no exception.
How they found support group/why they attend: Antonio found the support group for one of his friends. She was the only one who he ever told about his problems, and even she only caught faint glimpses of the issues he had. Armed with only the knowledge that Antonio occasionally had difficulties eating, she found the support group, and forced Antonio to a meeting. The main reason why he attends now is because the group is the one place where he doesn't feel the constant need to help people but still feels wanted.
Secrets:
-He often has suicidal urges, and has come close to committing suicide three times already, and already attempted it once.
-Sometimes, he will purposely do something that will hurt [Friend One], such as cooking him food with ingredients he knows have expired, purely in order to put [Friend One] in a state where he needs Antonio's help. He will literally do anything to make himself feel like he is needed.
-He hates to stand up for himself, and, whenever he is in an argument, he will often try to become the victim. If he does ever stand up for himself, he feels incredibly guilty afterwards.
Addictions: None, really.
Problems:
-Codependency. He is abnormally reliant on [Friend One], to the point where the only emotions he chooses to acknowledge are ones belonging to [Friend One]. Without [Friend One], Antonio would be completely lost. He cares so much for [Friend One] that he will - and often does - put his own health or safety at stake if it means that [Friend One] will benefit. If [Friend One] is not in any sort of trouble or does not need help, Antonio feels completely worthless and unneeded, to the point where he has severe depression and suicidal urges.
-Anorexia. Antonio refuses to admit it, using the common misconception that only females can be anorexic as an excuse, but it is clear that he has some sort of issue with eating. He will refuse to eat for days, saying that he is not hungry or that he already ate. His weight has not yet dropped to the point where it could prove to be fatally low, and he has not stopped eating for periods of time long enough to be sent to the hospital, but he's coming quite close to that point.
Quirks/Habits:
-He is left-handed, but uses his right hand whenever he is painting.
-Antonio will often do things that will clearly get him into arguments with others, but he will never stand up for himself once he is in an argument or he is being bullied. Often, it seems like he is trying to become the victim.
-He loves to cook for others, but refuses to feed himself.
Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: There is a long scar on the inside of his right wrist, reaching from the base of his hand to his elbow. It is dark purple-red in colour, but he tends cover it with foundation so that it just is a light pink colour.
Appearance: Antonio is a very pretty man. Half of the time, people mistake him for a woman, something which he finds both amusing and annoying. He has a very slender build - unhealthily skinny is actually a better way to describe him - as well as a very feminine face. Antonio's hair is black in colour, with some hints of dark brown. Normally, he will keep it at a slightly longer length, his hair just brushing his jaw in the front and being cropped short in the back. Sometimes, he will get his hair cut short, but Antonio tends to avoid that style, mainly because it has led to many girls hitting on him, thinking he was just a very butch lesbian.
He has large, gray-green eyes that are framed by very long eyelashes. Normally, he is wearing heavy make-up - eyeshadow in shades of blues, grays, and greens seem to be his favourite, combined with crisp black eyeliner and mascara. This has gotten him quite a few strange stares, especially combined with the fact that he often wears light rose or lavender coloured lip gloss and dark nail polish. Antonio tends to just ignore people who have rude things to say. His skin is very pale, the colour often made even lighter by the heaps of foundation and sunblock he is constantly wearing.
His clothes tend to be quite androgynous. It is basically a given that he will be wearing jeans, unless the occasion is incredibly formal. Sometimes his jeans will be regular men's jeans, sometimes they will be women's jeans, sometimes they will be skinny jeans, it all really depends on what mood he is in. His shirts are usually button-down shirts or t-shirts. Usually, he will be wearing some sort of sweatshirt or jacket, since he gets cold fairly easily. His shoes are usually Converse sneakers or something similar.
Personality: Antonio is the sort of person who is always willing to help someone, no matter what. He is incredibly compassionate and loving. If someone is upset or in trouble, it is a given that Antonio will be the first person to comfort them. However, his compassion does have a dark side. He literally needs someone to be in trouble in order to be able to function in daily life. If there is nobody who needs help, he will go out of his way to put someone into a situation where they need help.
He has a very strong need to feel that he is wanted. If he for some reason feels unneeded, he gets depressed very quickly. Antonio has strong suicidal tendencies, and is often on the verge of committing suicide the minute he feels that he isn't needed.
Control is one of Antonio's favourite things, but it is also the thing he hates the most. Antonio loves to be ordered around, but he also hates it when he has no say in a situation. He will purposely set himself up in situations as the victim, as the person with no control, but then he will starve himself for that simple feeling of having control over some portion of his life. It is almost like he has no clue what on earth to do, which, he really doesn't.
History: Many people wonder how on earth a strange, shy person like Antonio could ever be friends with a popular guy like [Friend One]. The answer is simple; they've known each other their entire lives. Antonio first met [Friend One] when he was three years old. Their fathers were close friends, and had decided to introduce the two boys. Antonio immediately befriended [Friend One]. The two of them were just so similar that he couldn't help but adore him.
As they aged, this bond continued to remain such a strong one. Antonio was devoted to [Friend One] and did everything he could to support him. When [Friend One] went through rough times, Antonio was always there to help him. Even though he was constantly suffering from problems of his own, he would always support his best friend. [Friend One]'s joy was practically his own when he heard that [Friend One] was going to get a full-ride scholarship, even though he himself would have to pay for his entire college tuition in order to be able to go to the same college.
His relationship with [Friend One] was one purely of friendship, or so everyone thought, however, Antonio knew that his emotions towards [Friend One] were just so much more than that. Through a moment of truth, a moment Antonio considers a moment of weakness, Antonio let his facade slip, showing what his true emotions were. Upon seeing [Friend One]'s reaction, Antonio realised that he was chasing after false dreams and what he wanted was probably never going to happen, so he quickly said that he had been just joking, and made a promise to forget about what he said. Even now, though, Antonio knows what he had said was not a joke or a mistake. Now he just hopes for [Friend One] to realise that.
