|Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All humans are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets their fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of humanity.|

Alecto has the power to bend light as she sees fit. She can change it into any wavelengths in order to create illusions, or even bend light rays themselves to render her invisible...for a time, anyways. The second manifestation of her power is she can change the density of light into a solid object for a time. She has to concentrate to do it, but it comes in handy. An arrow of light that dissolves after it pierces someone, leaving no trace behind in the wound, or a $100 bill that looks and feels like real currency, but dissipates when she's already gone.

Alecto is just like her name implies. Unceasing. Once she has a target, she will pursue it with an almost single-minded intensity. She will dig her teeth in and never let go. She is fiercely loyal and open to the people she cares about, but cold and remote to the rest of the world.
|History|
Alecto grew up a normal child, given to parents who worked for the Government. They actually received her from the R&D Departments, as a child exhibiting strange gene patterns. Her parents were told to raise her, and if her ability manifested, she would be taken again and used for research. Being loyal employees, they agreed, but soon came to love Alecto and when, at the age of 13, her ability did manifest, they hid it and told her to never show it to anyone or she would have to leave and never come back. Fearful of losing her family, she agreed, but practiced in secret to hone her skills and find the depths of her powers. By the time the Government came around to employ her, she was in full control of her ability and was merely lacking the creativity to exercise it properly. That soon changed when she was inducted into the Academy. They wanted her to hunt for others with abilities that had escaped the long arm of the law. Feeling sympathetic towards others with powers, she as often as not killed a bystander, let the true victim go and took their body in instead, much to the frustration of the Government. They, however, praised her for her speed and precision with which she completed her assignments and she rose in the ranks accordingly. She is still loyal to her employers, and after a couple run-ins with merciless Wretched, she is becoming less sympathetic to them.
|Favorite Weapon| Bow and arrow, for sniping when she can, but she carries a wakizashi for close up, assassin type kills
|Dark Secret|
She fears that one day someone will catch her using her power and hold her family hostage until she turns herself in. She is afraid of being locked in a cell and experimented on until she dies, more than almost anything, but she doesn't fear death itself.
