--both closest and farthest to what it means to be human--
Mikasa isnāt normal. Working as an assassin for an unknown organization, over and over he would get close to someone- and carry the pain in his heart from the betrayal when he killed them. Over the years he carried out the job, it slowly changed him, almost as if a giant eraser came and gradually faded the pain written in his heart. But he isnāt quite what people most commonly associate as āinsaneā, such as indiscriminately damaging oneās environment and other stereotypical actions. Maybe not right now, but in truth Mikasa isnāt far from that description. A strong shock could completely break him, drop him into real insanity. Currently itās more like heās been āpainted overā rather than truly insane. He sees himself as normal and everything else as different and varying from wrong to indifferent, and so carries out his intentions with a clear conscience. Like a child who doesnāt know what is truly right and wrong, he does things his own way that he believes is right.
Despite life screwing him over at every turn, he still has his own ideals, not ones like some grand world leader or criminal syndicate, but different. Though he knows he has ideals, theyāre a murky area- even to Mikasa himself.
In a term used by his native country Japan, he would be described as a āyandereā, or someone who would kill for love. Itās a pretty accurate description, though, considering his line of work; only not in the usual way.
Equipment: Depending on the situation, Mikasa would bring different supports with him- ranging from handguns to makeup kits.
In most cases, Mikasa would carry a Glock 18 handgun and often a small blade of some sort in case the situation changed.
Occasionally, as to give the least evidence to any investigations, he would use a long range tactic, sniping. Mikasa wouldnāt be allowed to keep whichever weapon he was given though, as certain higher-ups did not trust such power in his hands.
Hobbies/Skills: None to speak of. Though when he had free time, he would often be found lying in an open field or sitting with his back against a big old tree, just staring up at the sky. When asked about that hobby, Mikasa would just reply that it soothed him. As far as skills go, the only notable ones would be surviving and murdering. Fashion, cooking, technology, social networking...all of those were never a big part of his life.
Worked as an assassin prior to being taken by the Room. The strain of that line of work-getting close to someone, then killing them has left Mikasa not quite the same as before.
To most of his associates the history of this strange character is shrouded in a dark fog, one that isnāt easily lifted. Up to one point, he had parents, and a younger brotherā¦
That was when things got bad- their parents divorced, Mikasa living with their father and his brother with their mother. It got worse when their father died after a relatively fast battle with cancer, and their mother possibly remarrying or taking to alcoholism- or both, but the end result left the two boys alone. That could have been the start of Mikasaās distancing from normality, his life as a killerā¦only made worse when his last family member vanished abruptly. After that, life happened. It was a mutually benefitial partnership with a murky syndicate, Mikasa carrying out their dirty work and in turn they would financially support him. He really only trusted one person in that position, but things change. The one friend was transferred, and shortly after that event the Room began to choose.
Mikasa Mikoru easily adjusted to the Roomās ways; to him, it wasnāt so different from his life up till then. He could be seeing it as just a fun game, or, you never know; convenient and simple way to find the end.
Other: Sorry this is so short. I couldn't think of much more to add...
