Additionally, the longer he uses his powers, the more listless and detached Celso becomes afterwards. His hair drains of color, his skin turns cold.

Capricorn was raised from birth to fulfill his role of the ideal Ouradorian ruler. His path was the same as all those before him: he had to acquire a variety of personal experiences before he could be considered worthy of the title. As a child, Capricorn's parents took him touring throughout the Cosmos to familiarize himself with the different countries as their practices. He was introduced to the King, who became his role model and began teaching him swordplay. He spent years living among the people to learn from them and empathize with their struggles; Capricorn lived as a farmer, as a merchant, as an artisan. He had to work his way through the military, suffering the same abuse and living conditions as any other new recruit.
He polished himself, yes, and became perfect when he had to be. But along the way, Celso lost his identity and no longer felt like he was his own person. He wondered, what was it that he received in exchange for his labor, for a life that was completely dictated by others?
The answer was money. And power.
He and his family were not considered slaves because they were rich. Money was the one thing Celso was allowed to have while growing up, and he treasured it. His personal finances was the only thing not overseen or controlled by others, and so that aspect of his life was the place where his faint sense of individuality took root and grew. After his time with the merchants, Celso's interest in money extended over to business, trade routes, and the economy in general. It became a game to him. And Celso, a person who was never allowed to be his own person, gave this hobby an entire lifetime's worth of love and attention that was never allowed to go towards friends, lovers, or other recreational activities. And the result of all of this?
Capricorn, the ruler of Ouradora, spends most of his time as the stoic, disciplined face of his country. Duty dictates his life, and he does what is required of him. He has no real personal feelings on the matter, because his identity as 'Celso' has checked out entirely. He spends his days listlessly, going from one task to the next. The only time Capricorn's eyes light up is when the topic of money is introduced. He'll discuss the international exchange rate excitedly, like a child. He will foster his investments like they are his own children, and he will broker deals with words softly whispered at sword tip.
Additionally, Celso will take the time to enjoy the luxuries that money can afford him. He paints his nails, he sits back to sip on exotic brews. He led a rebellion against the King and Queen five years ago that cost him his legs, but to be honest? Celso didn't mind all that much. With his fighting ability ruined, he no longer had to spend so much time toiling away on the battlefield, and could instead focus on more... interesting affairs. Like growing the economy.
