P E R S O N A L I T Y :Zuhuru is quite the wild one, she has always been so. This feral girl was first a very sweet and gentle creature until she came to the sickening realization that she wasn't like the other cats. She was bigger. Could jump farther. Hit harder. Move faster. That isn't even what changed her into the feral beast she is now. Just knowing that she could never fit in in captivity was enough to force her into her own madness. Zuhuru is extremely sweet and warm to other big cats hybrids and smaller cat hybrids, if there are any, but extremely passive aggressive towards anything that stands in her way of being with the big kitties. She's usually a loner and spends her time sharpening her claws or perfecting her jumps, being one of the most agile creatures there, besides the other big cat hybrids, of course.
B I O G R A P H Y :Zuhuru is the oldest of the hybrids. One of Dr. Preston's first creations—and, perhaps, his most precious—Zu has the most experience as a human. She was known as a sort of peacekeeper at the San Diego Zoo, playing the occasional advocate for the prey and looking out for her fellow big cats. Of course, even she had a source of irritation: Dogs. Nicotine was the only thing that could keep her cool around the beasts. When the government came to capture the hybrid Zuhuru was locked in a cage and observed by scientists. She managed to set aside her nicotine addiction long enough to formulate a plot to escape. The panther led the few remaining hybrids (and Dr. Liam Preston, of course) out of the facility and into the vast wilds of Yellowstone National Park.
A new lab was secretly constructed and Dr. Preston locked himself inside of it. He refused to come out, becoming paranoid about the government agents that were no doubt tracking them down. Dr. Preston became reclusive and, out of worry for his creator, Zu stayed inside of the lab to keep him company and help maintain his sanity. Of course, Zuhuru insisted that she had to have cigs as well.

A P P E A R A N C E : Melanistic leopards are commonly called black panthers, a term that also applies to melanistic jaguars. Pseudomelanism (abundism) also occurs in leopards. Melanism in leopards is inherited as a Mendelian, monogenic recessive trait relative to the spotted form. Pairings of black animals inter se have a significantly smaller litter size than other possible pairings. The black color is caused by recessive gene loci.
B E H A V I O R : Leopards are elusive, solitary and largely nocturnal. They have primarily been studied in open savanna habitats, which may have biased common descriptions. Activity level varies depending on the habitat and the type of prey that they hunt. Radio-tracking and scat analysis in West Africa showed that rainforest leopards are more likely to be diurnal and crepuscular. Forest leopards are also more specialized in prey selection and exhibit seasonal differences in activity patterns.
H A B I T A T : Leopards have the largest distribution of any wild cat, occurring widely in eastern and central Africa, although populations have shown a declining trend and are fragmented outside of sub-Saharan Africa.
M A P: MAPD I E T : Their diet consists mostly of ungulates and monkeys, but they also eat rodents, reptiles, amphibians, insects, birds (like the Vulturine Guineafowl), fish and sometimes smaller predators (such as bat-eared foxes, martens, and jackals).
O D D F A C T : Most leopards avoid people, but humans may occasionally be targeted as prey. Most healthy leopards prefer wild prey to humans, but injured, sickly, or struggling cats with a shortage of regular prey may resort to hunting humans and become habituated to it.
