Alright. So this is my first roleplay on this site, and I guess I made more "places" than I needed to. All posting can and should be done in the Castle. My apologies.

That's perfectly fine, broken. It may have been pushing it with two powers, but you lumped them together as one survival instinct, so it's alright.

Alright. I have had a few people requesting that pets be allowed at the Academy. I have decided...to grant this request. However, there will be a few restrictions.

First of all, you may only have one pet or familiar, whichever you prefer to call it.
Second, that familiar must be an animal found on earth. No dragons or unicorns, etc, please.
Third, your familiar will be bonded with you, so you can share a telepathic communication if you wish.
Fourth, no killing other characters via your familiar. This also applies to familiars killing other familiars, or characters killing familiars.
Fifth, your familiar cannot have an additional gift. This would, in effect, give your character two powers. One is plenty, as I have said before.
Sixth, please, use discretion when developing a familiar.

Please note that this does not mean everyone needs to give themself a familiar. I, for one, will not be joining you all.

If you decide to create a familiar, add it to your character's profile under the label Familiar/Pet. Any info you wish to give about the creature can go there. Minimum info required is the species and name. If you add a familiar, make a note of it here in the OOC thread so we all know to recheck your character profile.

I have decided to add a familiar.. I was wondering if it could be a shadow figure that has a shape against walls floors ceilings, etc. It's like a shadow friend, which would fit into the history I gave my character. I'm asking before doing figured it would be polite.

:/ This is a tough one. Creating shadow creatures is part of your power, so I'm going to say that it doesn't really fit the role of familiar. However, since it is part of your power you can still have a shadow companion. It's not a familiar though. It can be more like an imaginary friend for you, if you will.
