You know that the creators used the history of the Sepoy Revolt for the plot line right? When the British East India Company (the human company) lost control of India (Pandora) due to poor policies with the natives, the British Empire (United States or an alliance) took formal control over the region to assure the proper flow of resources.

Even if there were more humans coming, it would be an actual military of thousands or tens of thousands, not a poor company with 150 ex marines.

150 marines took out about 2k Navi in the navi home territory. So if 9k marines came, 120k Navi would perish. So...yeah...
