"Ryan!" Kim called out to the silence of the cabin. She was standing in front of a window at the other side of the room to the front door. They had just arrived to the cabin and while Ryan quickly went down to the basement to begin bringing everything from the car, Kimmy went straight to the window and door that opened to a glass encased jacuzzi room. "Ryyaaan!" she called once again, then turned to glance behind her. Where the hell was he? The coat that she had in her arms was draped over the back of the couch before she went on a search for her friend. There was a door opened to stairs leading down, and a light was switched on, Kim's best bet that Ryan was down there. It was his parent's cabin after all. "Ryan, you said there's gonna be a jacuzzi here," Kim began speaking as she headed down the stairs.

"It's there," Ryan replied from somewhere down there.

"It's there? I only saw wood floor--" the blonde stopped in her tracks when she hit the bottom of the stairs. Before her was an entire area the size of the cabin, filled with tid-bits for a good time. There was a big screen TV, a couch, a pool table, foosball table, an empty bar that will no doubt be stocked fully once Ryan was done with it. That's where he was, bending down to empty a box at his feet and rising to line up all the bottles against the shelves behind the bar. "Wow, this is so cool," Kim gawked, walking over to drop herself on the large couch.

They were the first people there, The rest will be coming in two cars, since there was limited space to park next to the cabin. Kimmy had come with Ryan because she was closest to him, more of a family member than anyone. It was around 6 PM, so the rest should be coming soon.

"Go into the car and start bringing everything downstairs, okay?" Ryan spoke between bottles, not even glancing her way. Kim groaned but proceeded up the stairs and out the front door into the crunching white snow. She was only in her sweater, but with the snow slowly falling, there wasn't a single sign of cold wind.

"Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but some booze would beeeee delightful," Michael quietly sang to himself. "But I won't drink 'til I'm old; damn the cold, damn the cold, damn the cold!"

Michael carried a rather large set of corded bags over his shoulders. He grinned sheepishly as he grunted with each step he took. He looked back at the car behind him. The others were unpacking rather large bags and suitcases. He believed in packing light, but the clothes were rather thick, making them weightier than his usual packings. Admittedly, it had been some time since he had gone out since he graduated from the university. Even if it was smaller bag, he still would have had an awkward time carrying it. He looked to the side, spotting the car that Kim and Ryan had taken. He then looked at the cabin in front of him, examining it as he approached the door. It had a certain rustic charm to it. Soon Kim had exit the front door. Michael gave her a nod as a smile grew on his face.

"Hey, Kim. Long time no see."

He found himself distracted as he looked back towards the house. The wood was elegant and well kept, sporting a somewhat older look to it. Even covered in snow, he could tell that it was well kept. Michael laughed quietly to himself, jealous of the size of the place.

"Christ, how can a winter home be bigger than my two room apartment?"

As he dropped the bag on the door step, he grabbed the handle and opened the door. Peering inside, the place was a modern marvel. It had everything they'd need (and more importantly to him, WANT) for the days they'd spend up there. He looked back towards Kim as he laughed loudly.

"If I may? THANK YOU for calling me out my isolation for this! And thank Ryan for owning this palace!"

Alice McAdams pulled into the driveway and parked behind Michael's car. She put her car in park but didn't shut off her car just yet. She held her hands in front of her heater, trying to soak them in heat before she she would get her things out of her throat. She slipped on her leather gloves and finally shut off her car and headed around to the trunk. The sounds of her boots were muffled by the snow.

Walking around the rear of her car, she hadn't noticed a piece of ice hidden under the snow. Her boots weren't exactly made for snowy terrain so as soon as she put her full wait on it her feet slipped out from under her. With an "oof" she fell onto the cold ground. "Ow." She groaned, slowly rolling over to her side where she was able to pull herself up by her car.

Carefully, she got her bags out of the back then started towards the front door. She noticed it was still opened and that Michael was still standing there. "Hey, move your butt." She said a little aggravated as she had to squeeze inside with her bags. She was only aggravated because of slipping.

She did a double take of the guy standing next to her. "Oh my god, Michael?" She squealed, dropping her bags and hugging him around the neck. She gave him a peck on the cheek. It had been a few years since she had seen all of her friends and she had missed them greatly.

Pulling back, Ali looked him up and down with a grin. "Well, look at who got suave looking!"

Michael dropped his bags as Ali swung her around his his neck, catching him completely by surprise. He laughed out quietly as Ali gave him a slight kiss on the cheek. He could feel his face start to turn red from embarrassment, which he was certain Ali could see. He chuckled quietly as his head dipped. He continued grin as he looked back up towards her.

"What, I wasn't always this devilish?" he said jokingly. "Well, aside from being a total hell-raiser, I mean. You though, you're as cute as ever."

He laughed quietly as he hugged her back. Honestly, it was good to finally be able to see everyone again. If anything, his life was lonely. He really couldn't refuse meeting up with everyone again. Who knew, maybe he'd actually be able to spend more time with some of them afterward. He then let go and knelt down to pick up his bags.

"Seriously though, it's good to see you again."

Zairena pulled her bags out of the trunk of the car, looking after Alice who'd just run off to the house. It looked like a beautiful place from what she could see, and she couldn't wait to get inside and maybe have cup of hot cocoa. She saw Michael and Alice having a reunion at the door, and a large smile spread across her face. She couldn't wait to get in and see Kimmy, especially. Hoisting her duffle over her shoulder, she moved across the yard, crisp snow crunching under her feet.
"Mikey!" she raised and eyebrow at him and poked his nose, sticking her tongue out slightly. "Hey! How have you been.. Haven't seen you in forever.." her eyes got glazed over for a moment as reminiscent thoughts passed through her mind. Shaking her head slightly she smiled big at Ali and then wriggled her way past the two of them.

Skipping down the stairs with her bag in a very excited fashion, she practically squealed with joy as Kimmy came into view. "KIM! WOMAN!" she called across the room, running over to hug her and then shooting a fleeting glance at Ryan. Once her arms were wrapped around Kim, she leaned over her shoulder. "Ryan, my love, it's so great to see you!" she winked a little, always flirting with him and then giggled. "Where are Robbie and Owen?" when she said Owen's name, her voice changed slightly and blushed passed over her cheeks, slowly pulling away from Kim and looking at her questioningly.

ImageOwen Faraday
"Dude! Wake up! We're here man!" The delight in Owen's voice as they pulled up towards Ryan's cabin was as clear as day. He gave Robbie a light bro-punch on the shoulder. They had gotten lost a few times on the way, partly because Owen wasn't used to driving in the snow and partly because Robbie's sat nav was a complete and utter liar. Technological crap. Finally, they were there and that's all that mattered.

As Robbie began to wake, Owen pulled the key out of the ignition and hopped out of the car. He could see his breath in front of him, which was a far cry from California. He never really ventured to the snow covered parts of the country. Sun, sand and sea were his speciality, as well as mountains and canyons. Snow was, just well snow.

"Rise and shine Bob!" The young man called into the car to his sleepy friend as he shut the driver door.

There was snow, lots and lots of snow - everywhere. Everything was covered in snow. Owen never realised there was going to be so much. Had the sun been shining, he wondered whether or not he'd be able to see with it being so bright. There was a light snowfall with a slight chill in the air.

"Well lookie here, look who decided to join the land of the living!" The bartender laughed as his buddy exited the car. Owen grabbed his stuff out of the trunk and threw on a light jacket. With a bag over each shoulder and a slab of beer under one arm, he headed towards the cabin with Robbie behind him.

Straight away he spotted one of his favourite friends unloading a car. "Well, look who it is! Sup Kimmy!" A big grin spread across his face as he held out his free arm for a hug. He didn't spot anyone else but he knew they had to be around somewhere, hopefully.

---------------------------------------------------

ImageRobbie Miller
Robbie grunted as his closest bud in the world tried to wake him. They had been driving for an eternity and with all long journeys, all Robbie could do was sleep. This journey was no exception. However, they had arrived at their destination now, so he was obligated to wake up which entailed too much effort in the state he was in. His eyes shot open after getting a gentle dig to his shoulder. "I'm awake man!" He said yawning with a stretch.

Robbie felt a cool breeze down the back of his neck as Owen got out of the car. As he was only in a shirt, a chill so sharp shot down his spine. He had to get up now - his jacket was in the trunk. The athlete dragged himself out of the car and proceeded to grab his stuff out of the trunk after Owen.

"Heh." He grinned at Owen's remark, "Don't think there's much alive around here to be honest man," he said laughing.

Like his buddy, he had to gym bags packed with things he'd need and a box full of vodka. His drink of choice, a drink he had mastered. He was able to drink as much as half a bottle and be fine, yet still on his merry way of course.

"Look who it is!" Robbie commented upon seeing Kimberly. Now there were some faces he hadn't seen in a while. His brain was instantly injected with memories. He walked towards the cabin behind Owen, full of anticipation for what was to come. He was also apprenhensive. One of the girls had a secret, a secret he knew all about. She had no idea but that was soon to change. As far as Robbie knew, she hadn't told any of the others and was carrying the burden alone. Alice wasn't that type of girl.

There was so much shit in the trunk that Kim wasn't even sure she'd be able to bring everything on the first trip. Bottles lying around but no boxes or bags. Eventually, she heard Mike's familiar voice from behind her.

"Mike, holy hell, that's for sure," Kim gawked at the unexpected face. She watched him walk to the doorway and grinned at the astonished expressions he was providing as gratitude. "You can thank Ryan yourself, he's downstairs in the basement," Kimmy spoke, leaning against the side of the car. Before long, she pushed off of the cold metal and slid-walked around it to Ryan's driver's side. Now, she was in search for some sort of bags to bring the bottles in with.

During that time, Alice and Zai both missed Kim who was on a mission in the car. However, only Zai went inside leaning Alice and Mike outside, reminiscing. When Kim found success under the passenger's seat, she pulled herself up front, and as a result slammed the back of her head on the frame of the car. "Shit," Kimmy hissed, rubbing her blond head as she straightened to stand, bags in hand.

Sliding back around towards the open trunk, she whipped open the bag and began laying the bottle in it. A car pulling up to the parking space next to the cabin briefly distracted her. But it wasn't until Owen stepped out of the driver's side did she brighten up immediately. The love of her life was here. She had made sure Ryan invited him, and Ryan had made sure he didn't have other plans. And hell, the bag of bottles was left in the trunk unattended as Kim slid-jogged towards the car and Owen.

"Owen!" Kimmy called out as she attempted the dangerous trek towards him intent of stealing a hug. Eventually, Robbie got out of the car as well, "Hi, Rob," Kim lifted a hand in a quick wave, flashing him a toothy smile. But in a bat of a lash, Kim's attention was back on Owen. "How was the ride?"

Alice giggled pulling back and ruffling his hair for him. She grinned, "You were a bit but not completely." She ran a hand through her red curls. "Well thank you, I'm glad you think so. And it's good to see you too." She looked back at Zai as she got out of the car. She bumped her hip with her, smirking at her. "Slow mover." She teased her. She glanced back to see Kimmy running outside and to see another car pull up.

Shaking her head, she knew the two would would always arrive last even though she had had an even longer drive from New Orleans. They had only come from California. She moved inside a little more so everyone else could come inside. She grinned when Owen came in with his arms held open. Without waiting, Ali was the first to hurry over to him and give him a bear hug with her arms around his neck. She gave him a small peck on the cheek then did the same to Robbie. The only thing that was different was when she hugged Robbie she noticed him tense a little.

She let go of him frowning a little. She saw Kim and nudged her. "Hey girl, not gonna say hi to me?" She teased her, shaking her head. She walked over to the stairs that lead down, she could only assume it was the basement. "Hey Ryan, get your ass up here and join the party!" She yelled down the stairs then turned back to her friends, hoping that would get the job done and she wouldn't have to drag him up the stairs but by his ear.

Ali couldn't help but noticed that both Kimmy and Zai were both eying the hunky Owen. 'Uh-oh.' She thought. 'This is gonna get interesting.' She just hoped that this wouldn't lead to a fight that caused several hearts to get broken in the process.

Michael nodded towards Alice as she walked off. As she did, he saw Bobby and Owen. He rose arm, giving them a wave as a grin grew on his face. The gang was all here. This was gonna be one hell of a weekend. He chuckled quietly as he moved inside. Warmth overtook him, as he could tell the heater was going. He could hear Alice calling for Ryan with fake, joking threats. Seemed like everything was the same. However, he wondered where Cass was.

"Probably in Alie's car."

He soon began tp descend the stairs, looking around the place. As he did, he spotted Ryan through the railing. He chuckled quietly.

"Toiling alone in a dank, barely lit room? I thought you had a cheerier disposition than that!"

As he said that, he noticed Zairena in the room. He laughed quietly as he continued to descend the stairs. He felt like an idiot for not seeing her until AFTER he said that. But it happened.

"And sorry I couldn't give you the proper 'hello' outside, Rena. You tend to come and go faster than my wit usually does. Good to see you're well-"

As he said this, he noticed her face was a little red. He rose his eyebrows, suddenly realizing something was up. He looked between Ryan and Zairena, his brow shifting with his eyes.

"If I'm interrupting something, I can go outside... or preferably in a different room. Seriously, Ryan, this place is a damn winter fortress of heaven, man!"

Cassidy was most definitely the last person to walk in. Her friends, being the loving ones they were, had left the girl in the back seat of the car in a sound sleep. When her eyes fluttered open and she realized the vehicle had stopped moving and ...was empty, she sat up, the look of a confused child crossing her face as she pursed her lips into a frown and stretched. She hadn't slept much the night before, and was exhausted. Car rides always put her to sleep anyways; that's why she didn't like driving. She might kill someone, falling asleep at the wheel.

Climbing out of the car, she scrunched her eyebrows together, wrapping her arms around herself. She was still delirious from sleep and didn't manage to slip into her coat, so she was stuck in the freezing weather with nothing but her light t-shirt and jeans with Ugg boots. Stumbling a little bit, she found her way inside, not even noticing Kim, Rob, and Owen though they were just behind her, and followed the voices.

"Thanks for getting me up, guys," she frowned, closing her eyes. "It's bright in here..." she remarked. Though she was rather chipper 99% of the time, sleepy Cass could be a little cranky.

ImageRyan was left all alone in the basement after Kimmy scrambled upstairs. He heard the commotion meaning everyone should be here already. He waited, and waited, watching the stairs. Rena was the first to head downstairs, as a result, a quick grin curled Ryan's lips. "Well look who's here," he leaned against the bar, his arms folding in front of him. The way he looked Rena up was enough to deserve him a slap in the face, but then again, it was Rena he was gawking at. Eventually, Mike poked his head in the basement.

"You like it?" He glanced up at the stairs, towards Mike, then continued, "Get everyone downstairs; what're they gonna do upstairs? Sit around and play boardgames?" he commented, after hearing Alie yell out for him to get upstairs. There was nothing upstairs but a fireplace, a couch, and a meekly kitchen.

There was faint music playing since Ryan just turned the radio on to fill the room with some sort of noise besides his bottles clanking around. Before everyone would pile downstairs, he'll finish arranging his prized possessions. When everyone continued to mingle upstairs, impatience flashed across Ryan's eyes, "I got no fuckin' boardgames, folks! Get down here!" CLANK CLANK CLANK! Bottle against bottle. Maybe the sound of their natural habitat will tempt them. ;)

ImageAfter Kimmy haphazardly hugged Owen what with the icy path she had to take, she let go to look back towards the house, waving at Alice who she failed to notice before, then glanced back towards Owen and Rob. "Go inside, everyone's in. Ryan's in the basement, you gotta frikkin' see it, it's awesome down there," the amount enthusiasm was typical for Kim to emit, who would if it wasn't her to get excited over things. "Actually!" Kim stopped Owen and Robbie in their tracks, "Can you guys help me bring the bottles inside?"

The look she gave them was very nearly terminal in all it's puppy-dog cuteness. Then as quickly as that it hardened into a playful frown, "Ryan's an unorganized mess, just look at that," she pointed towards the truck with bottles lying around.

Sliding towards the car, she bumped into it to stop herself and took the bag that she was filling, adding one more before she held the back out to either Robbie or Owen to take. Her gaze snapped onto movement towards her side, for a moment, she thought the worst. Maybe a bear or a wild animal, but it was only Cass, "Good morning, sunshine!" Kim exclaimed loudly, watching the sleepy girl stumble towards the cabin.

Sorry about not paying attention before, I was half asleep when I typed up my first post, and it was a little bit of a disaster, forgive me?(:

Rena's smile brightened when Ryan looked at her, and she sauntered across the room swaying her hips slightly and then sitting on a stool near him. Althought she did adore Ryan, it was nothing compared to the way she loved Owen. But, then again, the way she adored Ryan was a lot more relevant than the crush she had on Robbie. Thinking about all of her friends that she hadn't seen in so long -especially the guys- her cheeks turned redder than they had been a moment ago, just in time for Michael to come down the stairs. She spun around quickly and was about the burst off her stool and hug him, but then he said the most absurd thing.
"If I'm interrupting something, I can go outside... or preferably in a different room. Seriously, Ryan, this place is a damn winter fortress of heaven, man!"
She smirked at the last little bit, but the first part only worsened her blush. "Me and Ryan? No. Never. Michael, college clouded your thinking brain!" she stuck her tongue out at him and spun around on her stool. That's when Ryan started yelling at everyone to get downstairs. "Yeaaaa, come on! Don't leave us down here allll alone!" she called out into the rest of the house, wanting all of her friends together in one room.

Owen FaradayImage
Owen closed his eyes as he waited for the impact of Kimmy's hug. She did give a great hug to be fair and it was something he definitely missed in California. As soon as there were two arms wrapped around his neck he realised this was no Kimmy hug. His eyes shot open again and to his surprise, it wasn't Kimmy there. Bright red, wavy hair could only mean one person.

"Ali! Good to see you girl!" He said joyfully as he reciprocated the hug, squeezing her back.

The quietest girl he had ever known gave him a peck on the cheek and was off to hug Robbie in the blink of an eye. As she hugged and kissed Robbie, Owen flashed him a cheeky wink and mouthed, "Get in there son!" The way Rob had been talking about her the last couple weeks gave Owen the impression he had a thing for the red head. Maybe this was the vacation to get things in motion. However Robbie seemed to tense a little as she hugged him, which Owen found a bit odd.

Within moments of Ali jumping away from him like he was a pile of hot coals, Owen was pounced on yet again. This time he knew exactly who it was. The familiar squeeze, soft and gentle yet just tight enough to be called a proper hug. It was none other than little miss Kimmy Jerryman. A smile spread across his face and he squeezed her back. It felt like it had been decades since he had hugged his friends and for a split second he felt like not letting go. Could be another few decades before he would see them again after all.

"Ride was, er, okay. This doof's sat nav acted up as soon as we starting seeing snow," he said nudging Robbie in the side, "but we got here in the end!" In true close friend fashion, he just laid it out point blank. It was just straight into getting ready for a vacation that Owen was sure none of them would ever forget.

"Ha ha, okay! It better be amazing. Took for freaking ever to get here!" The bartender smiled to himself as he headed towards the cabin, grabbing Robbie around the shoulder. They hadn't even taken two steps between them when Kimmy spoke up again.

"Huh, wait what? Oh yeah I'll help ya," Owen offered obligingly, "Seeing as I got a free hand and all!" He lifted the bag from her grasp and headed towards the cabin behind Robbie. He noticed Michael at the same time and saluted back to him. Owen, personally, never really knew Michael as well as he could do, partly because Owen and Robbie were so close that he didn't really ever feel the need to get to know anyone else so well. As he watched Michael enter the cabin before them, Owen hoped to get to know him a bit better.

"Hey. Bobbo? You alright dude?" He asked Robbie as they entered the door. His buddy had been very quiet since meeting Alice. Surely he didn't have that much of a thing for her, did he? Owen shrugged the thought off and walked behind him.

Just as they had entered, the King of the castle himself, Ryan, was shouting welcoming greetings up the stairs. The two guys looked at each other and laughed before heading downstairs to the sound of bottles banging, like moths to a flame. Owen didn't really drink that much, if at all, but there was nothing like a cold beer with your best buds in front of a nice roaring fire reminiscing about old times. The stuff that dreams are made of!

"Honey! I'm home!" The pair said together to the group that had gathered downstairs as they reached the bottom. They were all here, finally at long last. Owen was at long last reunited with his childhood friends, his true friends.

---------------------------------------------------

Robbie MillerImage
The ice hockey player's heart sunk when, as if out of nowhere, Alice jumped Owen and himself. Surprised to the sudden hug, Robbie didn't hug back as he normally would. He just sort of stood there and did nothing but give a light pat on the red head's back. He didn't mean to be so distant but she had caught him completely off guard. He hadn't psyched himself up to talk to her yet. Owen's wink in their direction didn't help him feel any better either. He she pulled away, he felt that she realised there was something off with him. It was her frown that gave it away. He half smiled back and tried to focus his gaze on something else.

Robbie made eye contact with Mike who was standing by the cabin. He raised his hand and saluted back, "Hello Mike!" He smiled for the first time since waking. Owen nudged him mid-smile as he called him a doof and Robbie just smiled at him patronisingly. He was unsure whether he smiled because he was able to focus on something else or whether it was because he spotted one of his favourite childhood friends as he headed into the cabin. Owen then caught him off guard, again, after helping Kimmy with her stuff. Being caught unawares was something he was making a habit of today.

He cheered up, "Yeah, I'm fine. This is so great!" The joy in his voice was unmistaken. So there was one minor hiccup he was going to have to deal with? Big whoop. It wasn't going to ruin his vacation with some of his favourite people on the planet.

Leading Owen down the stairs, it wasn't long before the full view of Ryan's cabin mansion came into sight. It was absolutely huge, like way bigger then he had expected upon seeing the cabin covered in snow. Then again, never judge a book by its cover as his father always used to say.

"Honey! I'm home!" He said aloud in unison with Owen. He avoided making eye contact with Alice yet again and began to mingle. This vacation was going to be awesome.
