Hmph

"Hey, uh, Scratch, why do we always start at Green Hills?" a rather dopey robotic voice was heard saying out loud.

"I... don't know? I mean there's also Emerald Hill!" a shrill voice cracked out.

"Oh yeah, you're right," the dopey voice responded. "Hey, waitaminute, that is just another name for it!"

"There's also Green Grove Zone, Palmtree Panic Zone, Turquoise Hill Zone, Great Turquoise Zone, Sunset Hill Zone," the shrill voice continued.

"Also the same place!" the dopey voice complained.

The voices belonged to two bumbling robots, one a short teal drill robot named Grounder, and his "twin" brother, Scratch, a tall skinny rooster robot.

"Holy bolts, we do always start in Green Hills!" Scratch said, slapping his hands over his face. Then he paused for a moment. "Wait, why do they keep changing the name?"

"Rebranding for tourism," Grounder answered plainly, before handing over a pamphlet.

"Oh, lemme see th- hey wait a minute!" Scratch yelled out throwing the pamphlet back to him. "What are we doing here anyways?!"

"Uh, oh yeah! Eggman wanted us to investigate Stacy, Anna, and Molly with the doohickey!" Grounder said, receding his right drill hand then having a robotic hand holding up a radar.

"Who?" Scratch said looking utterly dumbfounded. The confused look turns to anger as he swipes the device from his hand, then bonks him on the head. "You nincombot, it is a tracker for Sp-sp-spatial Anomalies! And according to the little dots, there's a few around."

Well well well... Robots? My lord. Why do you have to argue... ALL THE *bleep*ING TIME!?

"Wh-what!?" Scratch exclaimed, shocked that somebody, anybody out here aside from themselves said something before staring at the newcomer. He then placed his hands on his hips and glowered. "Well, who asked you!?"

"Actually, why do we argue all the time?" Grounder said, an honest moment of contemplation.

"I... I don't know? Do we?" Scratch said, also contemplating.

As they contemplated the tracker began beeping in Scratch's hand. As Grounder continued to be deep in his thoughts, Scratch took the moment to swing the device around before pointing it at Ajax.

"Ah-ha ha haa! An anomaly! See!?" Scratch clucked.

"Huh? See what?" Grounder murmured before glaring at Ajax intensely for a moment. "If he's an anemone, what's he doing outside the ocean?"

"Anomaly! Uh-naa-muh-lee!" Scratch shrieked.

"Okay, okay! Sheesh! Don't have to yell," Grounder sulked, before posing a really good question. "What use would Eggman have with a skater though?"

"I..!" Scratch began before he started to scratch his head. "Actually, I don't know? What do you think he'd say?"

"Scratch! Grounder! You nincembots! I give you one simple task, you're just as useless as Orbot and Cubot! And then Cubot will start crying and the-" Grounder began until Scratch cuts him off.

"Okay, okay! I get it! Also... scarily accurate," Scratch said, before glaring at Ajax. "Have any... special powers?"
