Cutting Costs (2024)

Beginning April 1st, 2024, RPG will begin pruning various costs associated with hosting historical services no longer necessary nearly 20 years after our inception. On the chopping block includes:

  • IRC access through irc.roleplaygateway.com
  • email services through gwing.net, roleplaygateway.com
  • wallet withdrawal services ($BTC)
If you want to advocate for any of these services, do so in this thread — otherwise anticipate termination of their functionality on April 1st!

IC chat rooms on chat.roleplaygateway.com are already non-functional, but I will revisit them after this cleanup phase. Chat roleplay revamp: soon!

I actually had no idea whatsoever we had an IRC access link, or for that matter an Email service ? Those are news to me

Concerning chat roleplay revamp; I think the current setup works just fine, but it might just be me
