This roleplay is based off the TV show Glee. The concept is the same, except we'll be using original characters, who will join the Glee Club.
LIMA, OHIO
The William McKinley High School halls are crowded with students, as always. On their way to classes, the bulletin board on the wall is ignored, for the most part. Occasionally, a student will scan the bulletin board, looking it over for any new announcements. As soon as their eyes reach the bottom middle of the board and see the page tacked there, they will immediately avert their eyes. They don't want to look like they're even thinking about signing up for The Glee Club. Joining Glee puts you at the bottom of the high school food chain, and loses you any respect you had. But maybe, the sign up will catch someone's eye. Maybe, some brave soul will dart forward and scribble their name on the sheet, and hope that nobody notices.

My Character:
Name: Lina Riley Wyatt
Age/Grade: 15/Sophomore
Gender: Female
Music: Lina's vocals are similar to Regina Spektor. She has a wide vocal range and likes to experiment, though she could use some vocal training. She can play piano, but since she doesn't have one at home, doesn't get to practice much. She likes practically any type of music, and will listen to anything, from rock to indie, rap to R&B, blues to funk and everything in between.
Description: Lina stands just over five feet, with a lean, boyish build. She has light olive toned skin and light freckles. Her eyes are naturally grey, and convey her emotions very well, making her easy to read. Her straight brown hair reaches her shoulders when down, but is usually up in a ponytail, with side bangs, sometimes with a headband. Her wardrobe isn't particularly unique or stylish-- generally jeans and t-shirts. She prefers form-fitting clothes since baggy clothing tends to make her looks smaller than she already is. She is always wearing a pair of worn black tennis shoes.
Personality: Lina is shy-- just having moved to Lima, she doesn't know anyone, and nobody knows her. She's been here for a few weeks, but is still referred to as 'the new kid'. She is always seen alone, and tends to avoid any sort of confrontation. Because of her small size and silent nature, she often disappears into the background, and is usually ignored by other students. Lina is easily intimidated and can be convinced to do almost anything. Her eyes often betray her emotions, making her a bad liar. Not wanting people to know what she's feeling all the time, she usually avoids eye-contact. If she feels comfortable around someone, she will be much more laid back and talkative. She's a pretty likable person, despite being nervous around crowds or people she doesn't know well. Sometimes people see her as the little sister that needs to be protected, since she's so small and seemingly innocent.
Bio: Lina was born to a teenage mother, Tracy Wyatt. Her father was killed in car accident where he got into a car with a drunk driver at the wheel, before Lina was even born. Lina never knew her father, but her middle name is Riley in his memory. She was raised by her mother, who had no financial or emotional support from her family. It was difficult to make ends meet, and Lina spent a lot of time at the daycare or with an elderly neighbour who lived in their apartment building. It was from this woman that Lina learned to play piano from a young age, finding she had a natural talent. Instead of just watching TV or playing by herself, Lina and the neighbour would sit on the piano bench together, and Lina slowly learned to play. When she was twelve, Tracy took Lina and the two moved in to live with her new boyfriend, Jonah. It didn't last long, and before she knew it, they had broken up and moved out. It was then that they moved to Lima, for a fresh start. Now money is tighter than ever, and Lina is looking for a job to try and support her mother. Lina joined Glee purely for extra credit, since she doesn't have any extra-curricular activities on her record. Lina is hoping that it would help her in the future-- she wants nothing more than to go to college and get an education, to make life better for herself and her mother. She isn't very good at sports and none of the other school clubs interested her, so she decided to give Glee a try, having been told she is a good singer. She still tries to play piano when she can, practicing on the school piano if it's available.
Other: None.
