For a few centuries now Mages and Warlocks despised each other. Most of the time from differences in how the way they casted magic.

Mages bond with animals, which causes magic to strengthen as frendship grows, they use jewels to amplify and focus magic, use elemental magic based on the five elements of nature: earth, wind, air, water, and time, and emotions power and direct mage magic. They also use improvisation, flexibility, and adaptability to approach each problem.

Warlocks use powerful spells to bind minions who must obey their masters, they use spelss, charms, and potions to store magic instead of jewels, use spells based on arcane science handed down through generations, and they must be unemotional and scientific. They are extremely rigid and pratice the same unchanged, ancient methods.

Though they decided their next generation must co-exist peacefully with each other. So an academy was built so the students could learn to get used to each other. Though right now there is only rivalary due to the best fighter and student being a mage.

A contest was held for the best spellcaster and the Mages won, while the Warlocks lost. Hopefully this doesn't last long and they get along, maybe even relationships, with each other.
