Introduction

Plot
The heroes of the Three Kingdoms Era have transcended into the Heavens, and under
the Jade Emperor, they are allowed to fight once again. This time, it is not to unite the land
under one rule, but as a test to prove which kingdom would have been the ultimate winner.
Many Jade Warriors have decided to join in this battle to prove themselves, as this is the
first time such an event has taken place in the Heavens. You are one of the many Jade
Warriors that have decided to join in this battle. Who will you lead to victory?

Wei (Cao Cao) - Lead by a clever and ruthless man nicknamed the Hero of Chaos, he
commands the largest of the three kingdoms with many talented officers serving him.

Wu (Sun Quan) - A charismatic leader, Sun Quan leads a closely tied army whose bonds
surpass the heavens. Each and every one of his officers are like family to him and he treats
them all well, regardless of circumstances, his army is neither large nor small.

Shu (Liu Bei) - The benevolent ruler Liu Bei does not have a large army, but has the world's
most talented officers. Not only do they posses an unparalleled talent, his officers are more
loyal than any other officers in the Three Kingdoms.

When you start, you will begin as a recruit and you must work your way up the ladder to
become a influential person in order to change the tides of the kingdom. You will be given
the chance to either become a General, or an Official (Strategist) along the way, whichever
you deem suits your abilities the most.

Good luck to all the Jade Warriors!

Disclaimer: This roleplay is based on the Hack n' Slash Dynasty Warriors Online as well as the
classic chinese novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" by Luo Guanzhong. No knowledge of
these two are necessary to enjoy this roleplay, but is slightly recommended. I (the GM) will
fill many of the holes. If you have any questions and/or want further information, feel free
to send me a PM.

How to Create a Proper Jade Warrior

Character Name: Please use a Chinese name, if you do not know how to make one up,
google it (as the internet these days has everything, even a chinese name generator).

Synopsis: Put in your rank and faction in this format: Wei Lt. Colonel (Faction Rank)

Avatar: I prefer anime (or anime-ish like 3D anime) pictures

Description: You really don't need to fill this one out too much. You can put a picture in if you
wish.

Personality: Yeah, this one is quite self explanatory

Equipment: No modern day weaponry or similar things. Swords, Spears, Halberds, Bows,
and even nunchakus are acceptable. You can also name your armor and steed (if you have
one, you must be at least a Lieutenant Colonel to get one)

History: You don't need to fill this out

Ranks

Along the way, you will be promoted and once you reach a certain rank, you'll get to choose
whether you want to fight on the frontlines, or devise strategies for your lord. Here are the
ranks that are currently out. (I plan to add more as the storyline progresses.)

Rank and File Ranks:
Recruit (Starter)
Private
Corporal
Sergeant
Lieutenant Major
Major
Guard
Lieutenant Colonel
Colonel
Captain

Toggle Rules

1. Please create a proper Jade Warrior by reading the guidelines on creating one. It'll make things much easier and more consistent
2. Do not godmod. If you are killed, you will be revived in exactly one minute at your faction's capital at your housing quarters.
3. When you are routed, you will be forced to retreat to your main camp. The difference between being routed and killed is when you are killed, you will not be allowed to enter the battlefield again. So make sure you try to get routed instead of killed, since not fighting for your faction is quite unpleasant.
4. The NPCs will be controlled by me. They include the historical people such as Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Quan, Zhang Fei, Xu Zhu, and Lu Xun.
5. The NPCs who are labeled as [Unrivaled Generals] cannot be defeated by normal means, meaning your character will have to use strategies in order to promote the value of strategists. There will be a number of them in every battlefield (they may not come out at first, and they are the ones usually leading the army).
6. Do not focus on just fighting, your characters are humans (albeit heavenly ones). They need a break, so make them go to taverns and drink with friends. A lot of times, I'll give you time to do these though, so go ahead and join every battlefield that your faction can join.
7. I, as the GM, am the sole person who can start a battle. It is up to you whether or not to join the battlefield.
8. Your Lord will be the person who promotes you when you are a General. While you are a file-and-rank soldier, the NPC captain will promote you.
9. Yes, you do control your own men so make sure you make use to them to have the tides turn in the favor of your faction.
10. Have fun, as this is going to be a long term roleplay, you might as well have some fun with it!
11. Please check back for updates to the rules and info.

It was a warm morning in spring when he was recruited into the the Shu army. Lu Zun was outside in the city looking around the lands that Shu owned. As a Jade Warrior, he was allowed to choose who he served. He chose Shu because he had respected the talents of Zhao Yun and he wanted to serve under him. He looked towards the courtyard, where many of the Jade Warriors are training to raise their ranks. Because they were not living in the real world, they could not recruit men by normal means. Jade Warriors volunteer themselves into a kingdom of their choice and Lu Zun chose Shu. The historical Generals are quickly training many recruits in order to allow them to get promoted quickly, as they all want to win the war.

Lu Zun decided to go train with the rest of them, so that he could also quickly get a promotion. After all, he cannot stay a recruit for too long if he wanted to become a great warrior. He ran towards the training yard, where Zhuge Liang and Guan Yu are training all of the Jade Warriors.

Guan Yin Daiyu stood panting as she sparred with fellow recriut. She'd just been hit hard but managed to stay on her feet. She cracked her neck, gripping her tonfa white knuckle tight. She charged at her opponent. She twirled her tonfa in her hands, jumped into the air and threw her arms down. Her opponent dodged, like she'd planned. Moving quickly, she spun on a heel and sent her tonfa into his side. He winced but recovered quickly, he sent a few kicks in her directions and she dodged all but one. By the gods... she thought as the kick landed her on her back. He came over to finish her -not literally- his pratice sword downward. Guan Yin flipped up with her tonfa protecting her forearm as it stopped the sword at the same moment, she had her other tonfa aimed at his heart. They both panted. She'd won this round. She stood up, breathless and they bowed to each other respectively. She looked to Guan Yu for approval. She grabbed a cup over water as another couple began their sparring match. It was then she noticed Lu Zun approaching. She watched him with mild interest as she drank her water.

Lu Zun was not the type to show off, but he was also not the type to go easy on anybody, and he was good with a sword. So when Zhuge Liang had set him with another recruit, Lu Zun simply nodded and went on to have a quick sparring match with him. Waiting for his opponents first strike, Lu Zun held his sword in an elegant manner, as if he was a noble. This was his sword style, the Jiang Nan style of the Elders.

As the recruit made his first move, Lu Zun quickly dodged it and disarmed the opponent quickly and held his sword right at his opponents throat. It was not an exciting victory, but it was a victory he was satisfied with, because he still did his best, whether or not the match was easy. That was the important part. He held out his hand to shake it with his opponent. "You aren't bad, your form is excellent." Lu Zun smiled at the man, who was looking at him in disbelief. He had lost so quickly, but he wordlessly shook his hand and bowed. "Thank you for the match." The recruit said before going to the training dummy.

Lu Zun went over to the training dummies to train his form in order to perfect his water style of swordplay. All while Guan Yu and Zhuge Liang were discussing about a few stars who stood out within the training field, including Lu Zun and Guan Yin Daiyu.

Gaun Yin had begun training with her training dummy as Lu Zun approached one of his own. She'd seen his match and thought it wasn't very exciting as hers from a spectaters stand point but from a comrade's, she was impressed. "You looked good out there." She said to him with a nod as she rewrapped her wrists. Her wrists were sore from all the spinning she'd done with her Tonfa. She was holding them properly in the beginning but during the match she twirled her wrists too much. She really needed to work on that. She'd only hoped the Master's hadn't noticed. She kept her face from mirroring her thoughts as she tested the tape.

Lu Zun was training on the dummies when a woman complimented him. He smiled, "Thank you." He said as he waved his sword around in an elegant manner. His style was swift, graceful, yet powerful. It was unique because no one else used it but him, as he had incredible agility, he planned to use that to his advantage.

Lu Zun looked at the woman who complimented him. "I am Lu Zun." He said in a polite manner. He was a friendly person, and he was going to make friends with this woman, after all, they arw teammates, so he might as well get to know a little bit about her.

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Hand cannons are a no go, unfortunately.

Magic will be implemented once I find the best way to incorporate it without being unbalanced.

Elephants, tigers, bears, pandas are all fair game.

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

I have 3 questions about this RP and what relates to the games.
1. are the hand cannons are still fair game?
2. what about the magic that has been used (examples: wind wall, fire walls, etc.)
3. elephant mounts, fair game?

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

NPC is Guan Yu

Your own OC is a recruit. You're good to go after that. :)

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Okay so you want me to change her to a recruit? Cuz in your post you mention a Guan Yu. My Charas Guan Yin? I didn't know if you were talking about her or an NPC

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

It runs more similar to the DW/O series.

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

So you'll be playing the NPCs, to do the training and choices are Wei/Wu/Shu, so would how this rp runs be similar to DWO and be DW-style rather than ROTK/Realistic style?

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Yeah. You need to start out as a recruit though. Other than that, everything is fine.

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Okay My Chara's all done. Let me know if I need to change anything.

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Of course.

This roleplay is currently accepting "Jade Warriors"

Women character are indeed acceptable.

Re: Heroes of Time: Romance of the Three Kingdoms

I'd like to add a character. Can I make a woman warrior?
