Three hundred years ago, humanity had come across a strange crystalline planet and named it "Planet Y". Upon exploring this mysterious planet, they had discovered that the crystals which cover the planet's surface holds extreme amounts of energy, ripe for the harvesting. And so, they had begun mining missions, settling on the planet's moon, Y-A, to allow housing for the miners. The crystals were transported back to the Sol system and Lux system to be used as a power source.
After research into these crystals, they had also shown healing elements with the ability to heal any kind of physical damage. Along with curing any disease when ingested.

Two hundred years later, humanity had encountered the first extra-terrestrials in history, discovered on the other side of Planet Y, the aliens were also mining this important energy resource. But they didn't take too kindly to competition for this resource, therefore bringing war to Y-A and humanity's owned star systems. Each side used the crystals in a different way. The aliens used them as weapons, the humans used them as defences.

The year 4050 AD, the year where the greatest fear of humanity had reached it's highest; Mutation.
The crystals, and the energy they produce, give off a strange form of radiation - Y-Radiation-, this kind of radiation affects the human bodies in theoretically impossible ways. The DNA of affected humans becomes altered, forming cancerous tumours all over the body which soon takes over the brain and creates a strange humanoid mutant. These mutants can range from holding extra arms to wielding natural weaponry. But at the year of the highest mutation rate, the mutants seemed to be forming a more solid and constant form, humanoid being with large eyes and mouths, clawed hands and crude wings which are predicted to form into definite usable wings.
Due to the fear of being mutated, the human populace began to rise up against their government. Demanding the destruction and abandoning of the crystals in order to prevent the mutations. However, the government simply made too much money off of these crystals, meaning that they kept them as the primary energy source. Oblivious to the increasing rate of mutation.

The year is now 4056 AD, the mutants had gained independence along with their own society, fleeing to the moon Y-A and converting it into a whole bustling civilization, taking the mutated miners under their control in order to mine more crystals for their own energy.
Finally noticing the dangers of this new faction, along with the threats from the aliens -who had met a stalemate- of war, the human government decided to act on this. Researchers discovered a signal being emitted from Planet Y which seemed to be causing the Y-radiation's release, so this signal had to be destroyed.
In order to prevent any further uprisings, the government took along human test subjects which had gained an immunity to this radiation into secrecy. Their goal is to use them as a secret group with only one mission; destroy the signal.

This is where your story starts, as a human test subject with immunity to the Y-radiation. Along with that, you hold a special 'power' due to the tests. Be this super strength or super fast healing or maybe even super speed. You're mission is to head to Planet Y to find and destroy this signal. But... It's not going to be easy...
